RIP Gordon Lightfoot
Posted 2 years agoHaving a fascination studying history, the late Gordon Lightfoot's signature song the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald has been a huge part in my interest. And on top of just being extremely talented he was an overall respectable and kind hearted person to those around him. Thankfully he lived a long mostly happy life. May he rest in peace.
On my dysphoria
Posted 3 years agoFortunately I am on track to start seeing a therapist soon. So hopefully I can start to remedy this.
My gender dysphoria feels like its getting worse. On top of that I've been growing more and more annoyed hearing my birthname as I am not out yet. Honestly I am starting to perceive it as a deadname now...
I have been venting with close friends. One of my close friends suggested informed consent sooner than later. I have the option to override getting a therapists referral on it by seeing an informed consent clinic. But in the mean time I'm conflicted.
I will be asking my therapist on the matter regardless. This question is more for seeking some closure as I wait.

Going to post some ANE photos soon!
Posted 3 years agoBeen largely inactive on being active on this site save for faving, sorry for spam favoriting! I need to stop doing that.
I got many photos from friends and of friends at ANE2022 it was an amazing time I wouldn't trade for the world. Gonna miss the Park Plaza as ANE has moved to a new venue for next year, but I cannot wait- it's much larger and can take the amount of people that came this year!!~~~

Probably TMI, but I think it's good to hear me out.
Posted 4 years agoFamily being away (still working on when I should come out to them), I have access to my house to wear my feminine clothes around my house. Today I put on a skirt for the first time, holy frickin' moly is it breathable. Even if I were a guy- I'd love to wear one regardless.
Probably too much info, but if you get the chance- guy or girl skirts are fun to wear.

Just some... personal things.
Posted 4 years agoWhile I am not certain of everything, and I probably won't get to see a therapist or psychological expert for a while to either confirm or affirm this feeling. I think I might be a transwoman or genderfluid...
I want to experiment more so with everything from clothing, to pronouns, to a name- Clara. All of you have been friendly and supportive to me, so I want to be honest. So am I asking if you can try this name and she/her pronouns for me?

Rest in Peace Dr. James D. Hornfischer (1965-2021)
Posted 4 years agoBeing an amateur historian a lot of my interest in military history and particularly naval warfare stemmed from books. Some of the best books on the naval war in the Pacific during the second world war came from Hornfischer. Titles include The Fleet at Flood Tide, Neptune's Inferno, and The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors.
He passed away in his Texas home on June 2nd. Rest in peace Dr. Hornfischer, you've brought so much attention to often underappreciated topics.

I don't know what this is.
Posted 5 years agoThis is less off a vent and more of an observation from my habits and behavior with relationships... I think I might be bi? Or possibly this is just an over-analysis of these relationships derived from my habit of self-doubt to the point of sleep deprivation? No clue...
I've just been in and out of several episodes of questioning my actions to the point I might at best get three hours a sleep almost regularly now... Sometimes two or three days in a row? Is this questioning my orientation just a side effect of this? I'm all ears. I think it might be- but I'm just going with what I'm comfortable with, and I think having myself open to both male and female works best for me right now.
To clarify, I've seen myself less intent seeking a romantic relationship with a female, though I do want to try to date a female friend of mine, but I am more open to trying to do the same with a male as well? Continuining, if or if not this relationship moves forward into a romantic one- I'm still not sure who I seek to be in one- and I am not certain my preferences are specifically heterosexual anymore. Again, this might just be desperation than actual feelings given this prior series of emotions.
I'm leaving comments open- because until I get a chance to seek psychological help for those self-doubt thoughts be it from family or professionals, I just want people's possible experience and opinion here- I am a bit lost.

Happy holidays and wishes for a great new years!
Posted 5 years agoGood evening peeperoni's! I wish you all a happy holidays and a great new years, even if away from family. The light's at the end of the tunnel at least!
Vote!
Posted 5 years agoWhile I am not into making political content, nor do I view this as such, just a reminder to any fellow Americans seeing this, vote!
To be expected, but sad nonetheless.
Posted 5 years agoWell ANE2021 is cancelled, I understand it's for the safety of everyone, but still, sad.
Plans for August - Update
Posted 5 years agoWork is slowly returning to normal hours. So I will be limiting time on FA again. However, as I gain experience owning a fursuit, I thought I should take a stab at making one. A fullsuit of Ricochet, whose reference I have made a rough draft for and finalizing later this month.
With the high possibility the head and tail are going to end disastrously, I might commission those parts near the end of the year. But I'll see if that's the case when I get there.
Furthermore, as I finally decided on the name Rishi for my MostlyBad partial, that left two other names I had put out open- Devlin and Scharnhorst. I've decided to use Scharnhorst for a G-shep plushie character, however, Devlin? I want to use it so bad, but I cannot think of anything. Bird maybe?
Wish whoever reads this a great day!

Finally bought my first fursuit
Posted 5 years agoI finally bought my first fursuit, a premade by MostlyBad fursuits!
I am still working on the design for Ricochet, so I didn't want to commission just yet, but as a starter I think MostlyBad's partials were an excellent opportunity.

Furpocalypse is cancelled.
Posted 5 years agoDarn. Well I kind of expected it because of the apocalypse, but still unfortunate.
Clone Wars drawings - Taking requests.
Posted 5 years agoAs my finals are wrapping up and work will be limited for the next month, I want to get back into drawing and want to practice a bit. Mostly (scratch that, strictly) with clone troopers to commemorate the last season of The Clone Wars. So I'll take requests for any particular clone(s) with or without helmets, whatever gear, blasters, datapad, detonators, or if you want your own sona as one!
I don't expect many to see this post and I will be practice drawing anyways. However if you do, just comment or reply. I should be pretty active on here the next month.
Stay healthy and (try to stay) sane everyone!

End of the Clone Wars
Posted 5 years agoI show that I have grown up with since I was eight finally ended. Outstanding ending, and honestly made me shed a tear. Thanks Dave Filoni for the entertainment you have provided millions including me with that made up a huge part of our childhoods. And now that part of my childhood has come to a stunning end.
However, for some things in life whatever age you're at, you never really grow up. Do you?

One episode left of Clone Wars.
Posted 5 years agoDon't get me wrong I loved pretty much all the episodes that have come out- but it irks me there is only one episode left...
Free time.
Posted 5 years agoThis insanity and paranoia (a lot of it about toilet paper for some reason) is ridiculous. The amount of free time from my college classes being canceled and work hours being cut is more so! I wish everyone who reads this good health and hope you all stay sane.
ANE2020!
Posted 5 years agoMy first con! Yay!
If anyone who sees this is going, I am going to be the guy either in the shirt with a tank (TOG* II) saying "Ramming Speed!" or a Mass Maritime T-shirt.

More photos to come.

RIP Albin Irzyk
Posted 7 years ago On September 10th, 2018, Brigadier General Albin Felix Irzyk the last and only surviving commanding officer of the 3rd Calvary Regiment during the war, a veteran of both the second World War and Vietnam War, passed away at age 101.
Peeved like no one would believe.
Posted 7 years ago This is a vent, be warned.
After returning to work (an Italian restaurant in my hometown ) following the PPP competition, it was told to me that my supervisor was fired. Apparently he had stolen several hundred dollars in paychecks over the past three weeks, from all employees and employers. While this was happening as I was in Alabama. So people were in higher spirits seeing that he was gone. We always thought he was just awkward in management, especially that of a restaurant, he was a manager and desk front to a catering company prior, so he often as host and supervisor seated people randomly not following our seating chart. But he learned. So he became friendly to everyone, kitchen and house crew alike. But this betrayal was not foreseen. Supposedly he deleted any digitally kept record of these "larger than average" paychecks, to avoid being sued, but it also made his reputation quite well known in my hometown, so he probably won't be seen locally again. It was frustrating to say the least. It's about 10:30 EST, so I imagine most of complaining here is rambling. Just wanted to put this in text to vent my irritation.
P.S. Obviously he was fired.
