Terms of Service
Posted 7 years agoLuridRabbit’s Terms of Service
Paying for a commission acknowledges that you have read and agreed to the following Terms of Service. These Terms of Service are subject to change, and changes will be publically posted.
1. All commissions must be through Email or FurAffinity’s Note system
No other correspondence will be accepted for commission related information.
2. All payment is taken through PayPal in US dollars
No other payment options are available at this point. I will invoice the client through PayPal, creating a financial papertrail.
3. Non-sexual commissions only
At this time, I will not do sexual imagery. I reserve the right to refuse commissions I feel are inappropriate.
4. Payment and all reference images and descriptions must be received before work starts
When I receive payment, I will begin. Character sheets and text descriptions are welcome. Please do not send excessively long text descriptions, please do simplify the description where possible. Clients are purchasing a work of art, not an architectural blueprint.
5. Digital Watercolours are NOT easily edited
Clients are assumed to understand that digital watercolours do not involve the ability to change elements in the way that layered systems such as Photoshop do. Since there are no layers in these paintings, I cannot change colours or elements with ease - I must paint over areas and this will affect surrounding paint. This leads to a more natural image look.
6. Digital Watercolour Process
The Digital Watercolour queue is listed at: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/luridrabbit/
The client contacts me through email or FurAffinity’s Note system with a description of what they want, asks any relevant questions, and indicates desire to be on the queue.
I will contact the client back and ask any relevant questions and tell them if they are accepted or not into the queue. I will tell the client what position they are in they are in the queue.
The client pays the full amount through Paypal.
I will create a loose basepaint and sketch that is sent to the client for viewing and alterations.
Client will provide feedback on any changes and greenlight for the next stage.
Digital watercolour is completed.
Client will suggest any small last minute changes.
Digital watercolour is finalised and a hi-res version emailed to client.
7. Digital Sketch Process
The Digital Sketch queue is listed at: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/luridrabbit/
The client contacts me through email or FurAffinity’s Note system with the sort of commission they want, asks any relevant questions, and indicates desire to be on the queue.
I will contact the client back and ask any relevant questions and tell them if they are accepted or not into the queue. I will tell the client what position they are in they are in the queue.
The client pays the full amount through Paypal.
Digital sketch is completed and a hi-res version emailed to client.
Sketches are a no-changes system, reflecting the lower cost and looser work.
8. Free Art Process
The Free Art queue is listed at: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/luridrabbit/ with a LINK to the Free Art thread on FurAffinity’s Forums
The client registers interest on the Free Art Thread and provides a description.
I will note on the Free Art Thread who has got a place in the queue.
Art will be posted to the Free Art Thread AND to my page on FurAffinity.
9. Positions on queues last for seven days without payment.
After this time, the process must begin again. The queue size is dependant on the time I have available - I only make it larger when I feel I can responsibly address my clients with care.
10. I reserve the right to use any image I create
This usually means posting in my online galleries.
I reserve the right to include paid images in digital or physical portfolios along with other works, but I will never sell a paid image by itself.
I will use free art in any way I see fit.
No profit is to be made off images by the client.
The client must list me as the creator if they post the image elsewhere online.
11. I reserve the right to terminate a commission at any time I see fit, or refuse work from any person at any time.
I reserve the right to cancel and/or refund a commission at any time. I rarely do so, but I do require polite and clear communication from clients.
If a refund needs to happen, I will refund the remaining balance of the commission less work, depending on the situation. Depending on the circumstances, the commissioner may or may not receive the completed work, though I will usually send what I have.
There are NO refunds on completed work.
11. All delays will be communicated to clients
This includes delays due to illness, personal or computer issues.
12. The client assumes the responsibility for character copyright
Clients must have the right to request an image and assume responsibility for character copyright. This includes gifts for others.

Posted 7 years agoSo it seems...
Posted 7 years agoThat I've managed to find some artists I used to really adore again. I'd missed looking at their work, badly. It's almost a surprise, in some ways - life continues, even if you take what amounts to a ten year break. I'm doing less stuff these days as my responsibilities have massively increased. I have so much to do, everything from vegetable gardening to school runs. But, for the time at least, I'm back.
