Tales from the Twin Mountain Valley
General | Posted 17 years agoIn celebration of my 5 year jubilee as a web author of stories in my Twin Mountain Valley world, I've decided to take all TMV short stories of those five years and bundle them to 3 eBooks, of which I've released the first one (Tales from the Twin Mountain Valley) just now to FurAffinity.
Five years.. So much has happened, very very good stuff and very very bad stuff. But, I came out stronger, and according to some, as a better writer than I was in 2003.
I hope you'll enjoy my jubilee release, and the ones to come. Like in the days of old I wish you merry reading and:

Human Master, Orc Slave -- your input please!
General | Posted 18 years agoIn the interest of National Security I can't tell you what this is for or I'd have to thrill you but..
Picture this situation:
A magnificent seven-foot slave-Orc submits himself completely to a human Master, for benign but intense BDSM playings and devoted servitude. Just about anything you can think of goes between them.
My question to you is: what would you like to see happen between these two? What would you really like to see in such a situation? It can be hard or sweet, detailed or vague, it's up to you.
If you have an idea about what you'd like, shoot me a PM if you prefer privacy, or throw it out in the open as a comment to this journal.
Especially useful would be specific short-duration scenes you'd like to see that don't require elaborate contraptions.
I'm looking forward to your PM or comment :)

Beasts of Burden -- I wrote a book !!
General | Posted 18 years agoGreetings All!
I'm so excited I can't friggin' get to sleep and it's 7 AM! I just finished writing Beasts of Burden, my first book-sized Orc story in the English language.
Beasts of Burden has been a project of mine for little over six months, and those six months unfortunately the project many a time lay dormant for many weeks. I feel you should only write when you truly feel like it, and lots of things (many good ones) kept distracting me over the months.
You gotta feel like it. If your inspiration's meh, your story will be meh.
But now after half a year finally it's been written, and oh my God it's HUGE. To give you an idea, it's got 310.000 keystrokes in it. To put it in perspective that's as long as fifteen of my average-length stories laid out back to back, and it's over three times larger than my largest story before this, The Seven Days of Orcyon.
Guys and gals, I'm going to give it some runs to work it up, have some good friends proofread it and I'm going to get it to you.
I'm glad to be having something for you after all those months of writer's block, and it's just as big as the stack of stories you missed out on because of my writer's block.
Thanks for bearing with me during the long, long dry spell.

I'm writing again!
General | Posted 18 years agoGreetings!
Lately there has been quite a dry spell in my writing, this mostly due to the particularly persistent writing block that followed in the wake of The Seven Days of Orcyon. That particular story took a lot out of me, and save for a few short bursts (The Orc's Game, Ferals in the City) it's been fairly quiet.
Thank you for bearing with me during the dry spells.
However, there's good news.
Life is all about choices, choices that often are very personal in nature. Last weekend I myself chose to engage in a journey of the mind, and this came in the form of sharing a small amount of psychedelic mushrooms with a friend, something I do once every so many months. Something which definitely isn't to everyone's liking, or even useful.
Quite unexpectedly, the closed-eye imagery awoke my muse, and snapped me clean out of my writer's block. Over the course of the next day there were moments of inspiration to write again, and the day after that I sat down behind the keyboard and started writing.
And I wrote quite a bit since then.
The story I'm writing, working title "Beasts of Burden", is one of Orcs again - but in length it will be the biggest story I ever wrote in the English language. In fact, it might even become twice as big as my longest story to date, The Seven Days of Orcyon.
I'm taking my time for it. I strive to deliver to you an interesting story, a wild ride and hopefully a better quality overall for your reading pleasure.
As things are looking now it will be big, about the size of a small paperback. I expect it to be somewhere between five and ten times the short-story size you know of me, and I'm about halfway there as it is today. It's exciting to be writing again.
Things going as they are, I expect the story to hit the web within two weeks from now. So know that though things have been fairly quiet lately, there's new stuff in the making, which I hope you'll enjoy.

ORC IRC CHANNEL open for testing RIGHT NOW
General | Posted 18 years ago** Temporary mirror of Corwyn's journal, on agreement **
For all those beastly types and their admirers out there, including but not limited to orcs, ogres and trolls, there's a special something - but just tonight. (Oh well, maybe a tad longer too, if the thing proves to be stable already.)
The Waargh! IRC Server will open it's doors for the first time.
Before you rush off, let me make a few things clear:
- It will be a service primarily for orcs and other beastly creatures. (Ogres, trolls, demons of any kind, minotaurs, etc.) It's not a furry thing, although furries are welcome, too. (To an extent...)
- It's a test-run, so various things might not be working yet and the server might go down again, be restarted and other things. It did undergo extensive testing already and should work just fine. But in the end, it's more a test for seeing how well the server can handle the load and such.
- Let me repeat: It's really likely the server WILL GO DOWN after tonight.
If you have read and understood all of that, let me invite you to join us and test the damned beast. =) Things like services are already running, so feel free to even register your nick and such.
Okay, here's the details...
Server: irc.waargh.org
Port: 6667
Come and join us in #orcs if you like. =)
