It's been a while since my last increase and for a number of reasons we're doin' it again.
Basically I'm still (mostly) supporting myself and my bf. I have an astounding amount of debt from hard times years ago, and my tax payments are getting overwhelming. I'd really like to be able to afford like... healthcare, therapy, car repairs... really a bunch of necessary stuff that has fallen by the wayside so I can keep the lights on. The only way to do that, without working myself to death, is a price increase.

And a reminder, though my pricing is by-the-hour it's only timing when I'm actively drawing. 1 hour of drawing typically takes 1-3 hours! Untreated ADHD is a bitch.

ANYWAYS --> Prices will be going from $75/hr to $90/hr.
Anybody who was waitlisted prior to the change going into effect (Oct 1st) can pay the old price, though tips are appreciated- of course.

Additionally, I'm going to start taking 1/2 hour slots at $45 to do on Mon & Sat to help pay for some unexpected things and give me a leg up on tax payments this year.
I'll basically do them whenever I don't have a YCH to work on during my half days. These half-hour slots will usually NOT be streamed.
In the event I have a last minute cancellation I can use these half-hour slots to bridge the gap.
Unlike usual comms, I'll bill for these weekly and aim to complete them within 2 weeks of payment.

I spoke to a representative of Paypal on the phone this morning about the Feb 1st changes to invoices.
The changes state that you have to have info on your invoices match info on your account. People are taking this to mean that you have to doxx yourself and put your full name out there.

You do not.
I put just my first name, and the rep affirmed that this would be okay so long as it matches the first name on my account. You can hide your address and phone number completely.
Just double check that the name matches + the business name matches and you're good to go for Feb 1st.

This change is unfortunate for anyone trying to keep their deadname off Paypal, but it has become necessary since invoices have been used lately to commit scams/fraud by putting false info on there. Mainly I've seen this used to impersonate other businesses by adding their name/info on the invoice and pretending to be them to collect money.

I hope this clears it up for anyone who was worried!

In general, please be cautious when reading about updates to services you use for business, like Paypal, Patreon, etc. People tend to misinterpret things and freak out on social media. The most reasonable takes about them are not the ones that go viral. Please look into Policy / ToS updates YOURSELF. And if you have questions or concerns, contact support instead of just leaving the platform.

EDIT - after investigating with a friends account too I discovered not everyone has the first name only option. BUT, it appears as though the name (full or not) doesn't even appear on the invoice. At least, downloading invoice PDFs and such from the example section I couldn't find it anywhere. So even with a full name listed in the invoice its not...actually listed. It might just be an internal thing? Who knows!

Hey y'all! If you follow me elsewhere you may have heard that we had to evacuate for Hurricane Milton. It was projected to be a pretty terrible time for my home town so we took the opportunity to move our (six) cats and ourselves (not much room for anything else...) up to VA. The journey was over 20 hours, and we had to take a detour to stop at my brother's place in Charleston, SC since there were absolutely no hotels with openings up 'till there anyway. Let alone that allowed pets.

There were times when we thought we wouldn't be able to find gas and get stuck. Hours in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the interstate near Tampa. And sleeplessness driven by a certain cat who meowed nonstop for 11 hours. We found solutions and faced it together. And now we're at our new home in VA.

Since we had to leave in such a rush and taking SIX cat carriers, we didn't have space for any of our stuff. Just hastily packed clothes and essentials, plus ourselves and our cats. No mattress, no fridge, microwave- etc. We're having to buy a lot of that, and we're going back down to FL to pack up and ship the rest of our stuff using Uhaul boxes. Thankfully family, homes, and possessions are all safe back in FL. The surge wasn't nearly as bad as projected, and our homes are sturdy to wind.

While we'll be on the road again for a couple days I'll be taking quick PWYW sketches (no WIP approval unless requested) - these will help me make some extra money since I missed a good deal of work, and will miss more as we finish up this move. I should be able to complete a couple in the hotel during our pitstop, and then more while we pack the uhaul boxes and await pickup. I intend to finish these before I get back to my regular schedule, or in between on Sundays. They will be the same priority as my other work, and ahead of Patreon work. Though I won't be able to provide guaranteed completion dates like I normally do.

TLDR; We evacuated from FL to VA, it was hard. We're safe, so is family. Gotta go back down to FL to get our stuff. Taking PWYW comms.

Hey y'all- this is something that bothers me a lot and I wonder if anyone has found ways to combat it, or find peace with it.

A lot of the time I feel like the furry community really is not "for" me. Like... I'm here. And people appreciate that I make stuff. But it's not mine. I feel no ownership over my space here.
That feeling comes up a lot when I'm communicating with others, or reading funny furry posts and so often they are... well not about people like me. Or willfully exclude people like me.
I'm a cis woman, I've got a vagina and am feminine presenting and bisexual. I am fat, and in a long-term relationship.

So much stuff is like "haha wouldnt you like to put your dick in this" or just...focused entirely on situations, feelings or desires that I have no connection to. Or I see people praising "chubby" characters that...to me look nothing like me. That look thin...or average to me. The depictions of people like me that I DO see feel fetishistic, voyeuristic. Dishonest... a lot of the time.

Idk. I guess I just feel alone sometimes. And it sort of makes me mad, and sometimes I'll yell about it on twitter, in frustration. But usually I just push the feelings down and try to ignore them.

Does anyone else feel like this? How do you get past these feelings?

General life update from me...still living at my Mom's to save money to buy a house. We gave up on the grant program we were working towards since their threshold for income was so horribly low we'd be barely scraping by if we continued to adhere to it. Really frustrating how little programs like that have taken into account inflation. $56k for two people is really...not that much, especially considering how much debt I have...

So, all that to say- my BF is working now! I think he's a lot happier, feeling like he wasn't contributing was wearing on him despite my insistence it didn't matter.
He did convince me that I should work less, since we'll be able to afford it. I feel bad about it, because even now I turn away more clients than I'd like due to lack of space but...I'm just one person, and he's right- I need to take a breather. I've been sprinting for years, and I need to look after myself a bit more. We'll get where we're going, I don't need to destroy myself to do it.

Effective Feb 2024 I'll be taking Sundays off in addition to Thursdays and Sundays! My new schedule will look like --

Mon - Patreon Work / Offstream Work
Tues - Stream (4hrs of slots)
Wed - OFF
Thurs - OFF
Fri - Stream (4hrs of slots)
Sat - Patreon Work / Offstream Work
Sun - OFF

This does mean openings will be fewer and further between, especially with patrons gobbling up most of my spots.

The basics:
The world of Animalia takes place on an Earth-like planet, the rules of physics and such are the same, except for one major difference. Magic exists. It's a natural force that shapes the world to its whims. It resides in Leylines beneath the world's surface, as well as within all living things. Its natural currents shape the seasons and weather patterns around the world.
The world is inhabited by beastfolk, animal-like Humanoids who thrive by harnessing the magic of the world to expand their societies.

One hundred years ago there was a great war of Spellcasters, the majority of the world was rendered uninhabitable by powerful Arcane Bombs. These bombs, concentrated magic tapped directly from the leylines, inundated the world with magic to a degree never before known. Things would never be the same.
Only a handful of Humanoid societies survived, isolated City-States protected by arcane shielding. Outside, in the wilds- life went on. Animal-kind, more in tune with magic found themselves changed. Slowly, it became apparent that a proportion of Animal-kind had been Awakened- or, uplifted. They had gained sentience, and those that were accustomed to contact with Humanoids slowly began to be integrated into society.

I did a bunch of sketches in my holiday streams- these were quick, 15-25m each and some don't have color.

My impulse was to not post the uncolored ones at all, but a couple friends have said I should.

As for specific concepts (with or without my characters) that I'd like to draw here are some, in no particular order:

- Daddy Kink, especially if the "daddy" character is larger, chubby, older, etc.
- All-the-way through with a goo character, half of them coming out the maw and the other half out the butt.
- Anything with pooltoys that gives me time to render them, specifically goopy-type TF
- Lore Exploration for any of my kinky species/characters, or developing new kinky species.
- Simple Sketchy Animation practice, looping full body pieces specifically.
- Toon Transformation (Rubberhose, Looney Tunes, that sort of thing, visually and thematically)
- Paintbrush TF (Neopets inspired or not!) - The paintbrush "paints on" the transformative goop, bonus points if the brush is animate and not wielded by another person.
- Realistically Fat Characters, especially if I get to focus on detail and rendering them lovingly.
- The Titan Holefish from Subnautica being fucked through the big hole, either by a hyper dick or a macro character. It would just be funny, ok?

Hey there!
I usually try to warn folks about a price increase but due to some circumstances outside my control this one needs to be immediate. My pricing is moving from $60/hr to $65/hr - similarly, in January I'm planning on adjusting my Patreon tiers to better reflect the this pricing.

The reason? My landlord sprung a $350 rent increase on me, effective December. I can manage it, with the pricing increase- but it's frustrating. Especially if I end up locked into another lease.
Before anyone offers advice about tenants rights, we had no lease for the last year- paying month-to-month on a verbal contract. Which was stupid, I know, but I can't do anything about that now.

Anyways, thank you for understanding and I hope y'all have a great holiday season.

Thankfully our home isn't very damaged, we got very very lucky.
Basically just some minor roof damage, fence is gone, and we lost part of the carport. No water damage thank god. House repairs are up to our landlord so that's not an issue for us.

Unfortunately... 9 days later we still don't have power, owing to some damage to our power connections. Hopefully that will be resolved soon but as before, I can't work without power.

Honestly the financial strain of this forced time off is...tremendous. I'm having to empty my savings that were meant for our upcoming move.

So, for a while I'm planning on doing mainly YCHs and higher price point things like adopts versus my normal work to help build those savings back up. So keep an eye out for those when we're back home.
