Good morning everyfur.

I could talk about not being able to sleep last night for some reason. I could talk about all the bullshit I heard in Obama's state of the union last night. I could talk about how in about a month, maybe less, I'll have my new partial.

Instead I'm just gonna say this. I know I've made a lot of mistakes. Hard times left me damaged but I am healing. I'm working on fixing and improving my life. In the past months I've made more progress to that end than in the several years previous, thanks in no small part to my loving and understanding mate. I want to be a better friend and a better person. I want to be someone that's liked for who I am. Those of you who stuck by me when I was at my worst, deserve to know me at my best. I sincerely can't thank everyone that has been there for me enough. Without some support during dark times I likely wouldn't still be here.

I hate cold. Its been below zero here the last few days and my paws are numb. Im doing my boss a favor and covering for one of our local drivers today. I had to take a torch to the brake drums of the trailer this morning, it was so cold they froze and the wheels wouldn't turn.

Kalak is being retired. I'm going to create a new wolf fursona. He means a lot to me, its been fun being him, but I've made a fresh start and a new life so its time for a new primary fursona. He was once a perfect reflection of me but I've changed a lot as a person over the last couple years and don't really feel the same connection that I used to.

Other then that I had an awesome weekend! Much better con experience then the last time I was at MFF. There are more people that I wish I had gotten to see and hang out with while I was there though. Spent time with friends, went to a few panels, watched part of the dance comp finals, suited around in Ambrose "the renaissance fox" a little bit (formerly Plex), ate good food, drank too much, spent too much money, etc etc.

The weak and unmotivated ask for a fair share of everyone else's pie, while the strong and successful demand a shot at making their own.

Get mad bro. Get crazy. Use those negative emotions to fuel positive change. Set goals and do whatever it takes to smash them. Take no shit. Confront the problems and people standing in your way and say "no, you fucking move".

/random thoughts of a maned wolf

I forgot to mention this in my last journal. I got a new phone (LG G3) and a new number a few days ago. Those of you who had my old number, PM me if you want the new one.

I cant believe its been six months already since I moved up near Chicago and got together with full_moon_arkell...the last few months have flown by. We're coming up to our six month on the 25th of this month. <3

I've been busy as hell since I started driving trucks again, with work and trying to get things done around here. The Regal is in hibernation in the garage now and will be under the wrench for the next several months, hopefully it'll be finished sometime next year and be running mid-high 11s in the quarter mile. I picked up a 97 Suburban 4x4 to use as a daily driver/winter vehicle...it needs some work too but I'll fix it up and do a few upgrades to it. I have several goals for the next couple years too boring to go into. Buying my own truck and eventually starting my own company is still on the table for down the road but I'm making good money as a company driver right now so its not my top priority. Among my goals for next year are having full fursuits made for my mate and I. We've decided on BC4C, even though we're not feline, because of reviews from a couple local furs that got suits from him and had nothing but good things to say.

My mate and I will of course be at MFF this year and I'm looking forward to a much more complete and fun con experience then the waste of time that going last year was because I lack the necessary social skills and didn't know anyone lol. I hope to see some of you there! I'll be back and try to become more active again on here and in the community in general after the new year. At that point I will have less stress with. I've just got too much going on right now.

I will take pleasure in putting bullets through this computer when I get a new one. This unstable POS has permanently ruined whatever faith I had in ASUS building good products. I've even resorted to wiping it and doing a full system reset and the problems continue. Memory check revealed no RAM problems, drive scan revealed no corrupt sectors. The only conclusion I can come to is that its just junk.

Anyway, I'm looking at new gaming laptops. As cool as an Alienware 18 would be I can't justify spending that much on a computer and at the end of the day Alienware is just a Dell anyway. Its down to: Toshiba Qosmio X70-AST3G26, Origin EON17-SLX, or Maingear Nomad 17 Ultimate. The Origin and the Maingear both have better GPUs, but the Toshiba has more RAM and got the highest benchmark scores with PCMark7. Opinions?

I quit the sales bullshit, it wasn't working. I got hired by Lionize Delivery Solutions right up the street from the house. Regional/local, away from home 1-2 nights a week at most. Mostly flatbed. Its a small privately owned company, fleet of only about 20 trucks. It'll be nice to be a person, part of a family so to speak, instead of just a truck number on a board like I was with big carriers. Pay is 39% of gross so I'll average more then I did when I was driving for Western Express. They might even lease my 16' box truck from me since starting my own company fell through and its not doing anything but sitting in storage right now. I'm a truck driver, its where I belong. It'll be nice to be back to doing what I was meant to do and start making good money again.

Over the next year, priorities as far as spending money will include finishing my car and getting a full fursuit made of Kalak (and Ryder, my mate's sona). We're probably going to go with BCFC even though neither of us are feline. Also, Plex the fox will eventually get a ref sheet and be made into an actual character instead of just a partial fursuit. I'm working on a backstory and personality for him.

I know I've been gone for far too long. I know most of you aren't with me anymore. Those of you that have been following me for a long time know how much shit I've been through the last few years. Part of the reason I've been absent recently is because I've been busy, but going back to before a couple months ago the main reason for my lack of activity was depression from once again going through hard times and I didn't want you guys to have to deal with that. For the first time in a long time I feel like things are really finally falling into place. It turns out that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't always a freight train coming to run you over as has been the case so many times in my life when I thought the endless struggle was finally over. I guess that came off a little dramatic, but the point is, everyone has their fight and for those of you still struggling, you must persevere. Its not over until you're six feet under. For the first time in my life I actually know what true happiness feels like. Strength to keep on when nothing seems to make a difference comes from having been knocked down and gotten back up so many times. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for the shit I've gone through. I came out the other side as a stronger person.

For those of you who are still with me, I sincerely thank you. <3 Now that I will have a little more free time and be in a more positive mood I will try to become more active in the community again when I can. I will also be reinstalling Skype on my computer since its working properly again.

(I'm nuking art submissions and journals, so I can make a fresh start and try to start keeping up with them again. Forgive me.)

For that matter I have no time for much of anything anymore. Working 10-14 hours a day six days a week and my one day off is when I have to do everything else I didn't have time to do during the rest of the week. I come home, get 5-6 hours of sleep, then its back to work. With the exception of the LAFF DG furbowl every first and third saturday I don't even really have time to be active in the furry community anymore. Hence why there are like 20k submissions sitting in my FA inbox. I haven't had time to wrench on my car either. There are a bunch of new parts in the garage waiting to go on but I haven't had the time.

Anyway, I'm sorry guys...I feel like I've been forced to abandon you :(

First I would like to once again apologize for my absence of late. Not that its a completely valid excuse but I have been busy as hell the last couple months. Today is my first day off in quite a while where I don't have a long list of things to do.

As far as work. I have two business endeavors going on and now I'm working full time in sales, hopefully temporarily, to help raise money to launch my businesses. What am I selling? Vacuum cleaners, but I'll get to that in a minute. The first being my local delivery company with a box truck, which has been temporarily put on a back burner due to not having money to rent a semi so I can transfer my license from Missouri to Illinois, and I can't put insurance on the box truck with an out of state license. Secondly, I have become involved in a roadside assistance and windshield repair company called JustNTime. Its a new company, less then a year in business, so business is slow, but I'm sticking with it for now and seeing where it goes. As far as sales, I mentioned vacuum cleaners. Have you guys ever heard of Kirby? I'm a Kirby salesman lol. I've only been with the company for a couple weeks, and the independent factory distributor I'm working for does offer a guaranteed weekly minimum plus commission so if I don't make a sale I'm still not working for free. They are great machines though so I should be getting some sales. In fact I plan to buy one for our myself to use in our house at some point. I have every intention of seeing where this job goes, if it goes well and I end up making decent money I might just stick with it and decide to get out of the transportation industry for a while. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

My F150 has long since been sold to a friend from Missouri, and I'm grateful that its in good hands. My new toy, which is both my daily driver 3 out of 4 seasons and my racecar (in case you missed it: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13701647/) will soon be battle ready. I have a Progress solid front swaybar, ZZP tubular lower control arms, and a new set of BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 summer tires in the garage waiting to go on. As far as future plans, there are several planned upgrades. My goal with it is to crack 400whp or 11s in the quarter mile, whichever comes first. Traction is a big issue with this car on street tires, it spins up to like 80mph. I know what the previous owner told me it runs, but I haven't tracked it myself yet, so I'm looking forward to getting it on the track myself and seeing what it can really do. I have gotten into it, but I haven't fully opened it up on the street.

 Full_Moon_Arkell and I have been together officially for two months as of Friday the 25th. I don't know if its because I was so used to being alone, but theres still a part of me that expects this is all a dream and sooner or later I'm going to wake up.

I finally got to try fursuiting. We are planning to get full fursuits made of Kalak and Ryder eventually, but in the meantime we are sharing a fox partial called Plex. Some of you may recognize him because of who he was once owned by. We are giving Plex a fresh start, a new permanent home, a new personality, and we are working on a new backstory for him. We are planning to get some art made of him so he can exist as a character and not just a fursuit. Here are a couple pictures of me wearing Plex for the first time:

My next suiting at experience was at LAFF Downer's Grove furbowl. I'm still kinda shy around other fursuiters but I'm learning. As my mate pointed out, wearing Plex now at smaller meets is good practice for big cons and for when I eventually get Kalak made into a fursuit. Either way it was a fun time and I look forward to doing it again.

I'm also WAY behind on submissions, by like 14000, so I doubt I will ever get caught up but thats okay.

Anyway, thats about all I can think of for now. I'm honestly wondering how many of you guys are still with me after all this time, as inactive as I've been on here. I am sincerely sorry. This is so fucking cool. I hope I live to see mankind achieve this monumental step toward reaching our full potential. Finally things are falling in place. A couple days ago and I picked a 2000 Chevy 3500 16ft box truck with the goal of putting it to work and starting our own expedited transport/express local delivery/hotshot company. I will upload a pic of it to scraps shortly. The next truck we get will be a 24ft dock high box or a tractor and pup dry van trailer, but this one was our first purchase because its under CDL weight rating so I'm not the only one who can drive it. Also, this weekend I am picking up a 1998 Buick Regal GSX with a supercharged 3800 and several upgrades. It already runs consistent 12.9s in the 1/4 mile, and I'm planning to do a few more upgrades to get it down in the mid to low 12s. This will be my daily driver 3 out of 4 seasons, and over the winter it will go in the garage and I'll drive the F150 instead. Wish us luck in getting this business launched!

So what's going on with you guys? Ive been absent because I've been busy, but I still think of you guys often. I really feel bad for not being around much recently, and judging by the fact that my last few journals have gotten very few replies, many of you have probably given up on me. Which is understandable. I just hope that in the future I can redeem myself and the mistakes I've made.

Who would have guessed that not being able to sleep at 4am on Sunday would lead to this? Long story short, fullmoonarkell and I were chatting on Facebook early on Sunday morning. I made a joke about driving up to Chicago for the day, one thing lead to another, and I actually did end up driving up there. He pretty much had me at first sight, we spent an amazing two days together, and now we're mated <3. I don't know how he got past my emotional defenses so fast but I can't remember the last time I felt this happy. Suddenly all the other bullshit I'm dealing with right now seems insignificant. I really hope this works out.
