Packing up orders is therapeutic when I just want to cry

I've been making some stuff here and there and I am just so easily distracted by the smallest thing these days...so I think it'll be a while until I list the things....

My appointment to talk to my neurosurgeon is on March 3...I'm excited and nervous???

I've never had surgery where they put you under before.... like this guy is a really good doctor but I'm still anxious so yeah...

I'll probably make a journal later after my appointment to talk about it because I might end up closing the shops for a little bit cause I won't be able to be active after getting the tumor out...for up to 3 months but I might keep the shops open too? Cause my husband can find the stuff in the boxes I have and ship it out all the same...???

The December blues are real...so I've been really slow at making new things/photographing them/doing anything at all.

Some updates though: I'll be shipping things out from my Etsy and Artfire shops to the USA only now. Customs and stress relating to shipping things with a customs form is not something I need added to my life on top of daily stress... Flat rate shipping for Artfire is now $3. Customs now start at $30.

You might tell me 'hey everyone has stress, it's normal, stop complaining'....but my stress is like....idk if you've read some medication side effects or what but sometimes there'll be a description of severe anxiety, 'impending doom' [no joke I read that on an asthma medication my doctor was trying to recommend to me one time]...it's not a side effect from anything I'm taking but more a state of being and December makes it worse... I hope that made sense... I saw Moana and it took all my energy to NOT break down in the theater... 2016 has been a rough year and I'm just so....tired. I've been making new things slowly and I just have to persevere I guess....even if people don't want my crafts because none of it has characters in it....even if people only want free stuff....even if I feel like a failure 200% of the time.

Friday, Dec 16 is the last day to buy things at my Etsy and Artfire shops and have the items get to you before Xmas if you live in the US!

...because no one in the place could find a single vein that would work for the IV needle...

Got poked a bunch of time without success and my neurosurgeon won't schedule the surgery until this thing is fixed... ;A; so it looks like I'm going to turn into a human pincushion until something works...bleh

But in other better news, I re-opened my Etsy shop! It's now my semi-clearance shop that has items you might have seen on Artfire a while ago but now for a lower price! Please check it out if you'd like c: [long story short, my craft room is pretty much overflowing with items because I never toss anything out because packrat]

Just gotta get another MRI done and then I'm pretty sure I'm going to get my hormones fixed finally!

For those who don’t know, I was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, meaning I have a tumor on my pituitary gland…all the way back in May. I JUST GOT APPROVAL FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO START TREATMENT. AT UCSF. While I am relieved to finally be able to start this journey, I’m also really scared of surgery….though that might be normal for most people….

Insurance committee told me they’re denying my tumor removal because, in their words ‘your medical records do not show that you have an immediate emergency treatment need’

I can tell my symptoms are getting worse over time. I got a referral to see a different neurologist but their office hasn’t called me back yet and I’m pretty furious. I know that they may have other patients or weird office hours or whatever xyz legitimate reason why they haven’t called me back but *insert frustration noise here*

This is scary and real.

I’m sorry if I’ve been a bad friend for the past few months. Dealing with a lot and if I haven’t messaged you it’s not because I hate you or are mad at you. I’m mad at myself a lot. When I’m angry, I know it’s not good to write messages or letters or whatnot, so I just bottle it all up inside. ….which I know isn’t the best alternative but it saves me from losing friends left and right.

Welp. Called the derps who work for my primary doctor today since they failed to call us back last week and this time …I honestly did not think they could fuck this situation up any more but…let’s just say these folks have a talent. This time they were amazed that we had my MRI results and also…. surprise surprise!!!! Now the neurosurgeon I need isn’t in our network when they clearly were in the beginning. By now it feels like they didn’t do the shit they were supposed to so when we call they give us whatever total bullshit answer they can spit out at the time… So I pretty much just want to cry and/or binge shop.



But I has no monies to binge shop. [might be better since we’re packing up to move and there is so much stuff in boxes everywhere, my toes are not safe. I keep stubbing ALL OF THEM]
