I'm still trying to catch up with all of that, so commissions will remain closed until further notice.

There was a post at the time that went along with that announcement, but seeing as I was posting things from a terrible data connection, I was unable to log on/repost it easily everywhere.

Hey guys, I wanted to let you all know that I finally have an internet connection back at home. To be exact, the whole thing came back on the evening of the 23rd and it’s remained, for the most part. They’re still giving it maintenance around the neighborhood and any other areas where the internet line runs through, so most of the time the bandwidth speed isn’t that good and/or the whole thing crashes for a couple of hours. The same goes for the power itself… I planned to post this message last night, only for the whole thing to go out in a widespread area until today. It returned around 1:45 PM. I’ll still be writing stuff into the event log whenever I can, so you can keep tabs on what’s up over here if you’d like.

Now then, I’m sure you’re all wondering how I’m going to handle the backlog of Patreon content that’s built up due to the terrible circumstances that led to it. Well, that’s quite simple really. I’ll be handling the single-image polls first (ie. The body type and fanart ones) and once those are out of the way, I’ll get started on the growth ones. These drawings, just like any other monthly image I’ve posted in the past, will remain up here (early access/hi-res downloads, as usual) for a month since their completion. In regards to the fanart polls, I’ll be handling them a bit differently. Since these are some of the polls that usually take the longest to receive an answer/suggestion, I’ll be making a single poll consisting of all the already submitted answers from last year that I happen to fancy. You’ll be able to vote for more than one character as well (the same applies to the body type poll). For every month that the fanart poll was reached in my absence, there will be a fanart drawing that coincides with the votes from the poll, going from the most voted to the least.

These polls will be up later tonight (assuming the power doesn't go out again), so be sure to take a look again in a couple of minutes. I will also try to work on the pending tier rewards and commissions as fast as I can; I'm not pleased with what little progress I was able to make in regards to those last year and even less at the time of this writing (due to the whole hurricane mess delaying things even further). I'm still thankful that many of my current audience have been rather patient with me, but I do know that patience doesn't last forever. I'll try to keep you all updated on those when I have some proper progress to show.

As mentioned in my latest content post on Patreon, I'm taking the time to let you know how things are going for me over here. I posted this over there last night, though it was rather late, so I’m putting it up on my other sites today.

The Laundry

My stepdad got over his childish tantrum (in regards to the washing machine drama I had mentioned months ago) and had been letting us use it ever since, but it was broken and would spill out water no matter what level/amount you set it to. It wasn't til two weeks ago or so that he bothered to look into it and try to fix it himself (as he usually does; you either get a decent/terrible-looking fix or the item in question gets completely trashed by him), but no matter how much he claimed "It's fixed now." the problem would persist.

Last week, on the 24th, he had me (and at one point my bro as well) go back and forth taking the drum from an old washing machine we had to the balcony and vice versa so he could try it out; it was a big waste of time since neither of em would work even after he messed around with them. During the weekend he went out with mom to look at some old washing machines someone he knew had that weren't being used; he brought back home two of them. He made us help him carry them upstairs (we live on the 2nd floor; I got stuck with the bad end, since I had to try and lift it up the stairs while they carried the other end; my arms and shoulders were already sore from the drum thing) so he could test them out the next day (he should have just done that before even bringing them over here...). I got a few scrapes/cuts and covered in rust because of them.

Yesterday, he tested them out and told us to carry one back downstairs (again, stuck with the bad end; bro was whining a lot, mostly cuz of his paranoid "I DON'T want to hit my head" thing he's got going on which is really over the top in any situation and annoying as well) because, lo and behold, both washing machines don't work at all. They were missing a piece necessary for them to even work at all. The first one wouldn't start or fill up with water, despite the notification light being lit up (and he ended up breaking the lid lock cuz it was jammed); not really sure what the problem was with the second machine, but I'm just gonna assume that one didn't even turn on at all. On that same day, he went back to the same place he got both washing machines and brought over another drum (which was oily and gave me cuts/scrapes yet again).

Today, he made some kind of Frankenstein's monster (or Frankenstein's washer in this case) with that drum and pieces from some of the old washing machines, so we're finally able to do all that laundry that's been piling up for days. Thankfully my mom's been doing the rest of the laundry, because I'm seriously exhausted and have barely been given a break or respect for my personal space/time lately (though I know that after today I'll most likely be the one in charge of doing it all, as it's always been).

Chores and Personal Space

My family still keeps bugging me with their ridiculous requests and keep asking me to do stuff for them instead of going to my bro most of the time because "He's always busy.", "He won't do it.", "He's asleep.", even though when I'm clearly busy working on a drawing, chilling out doing my things, or asleep I'm still bothered or forced to do what they want because they "just can't do it themselves".

Last month I ordered a few things my stepdad wanted online and he kept hounding me constantly for updates on its progress (like he did last time when I bought him that new tablet), as if that would make it arrive earlier than the estimate date or saying "I hope that comes in earlier, because I really need it." every once in a while... The items (a Fire Stick TV and an HDMI to AV converter box) still came around the estimate date and I spent a whole day setting it up for him because I had to:

Make him an Amazon account (there's no way I'd leave mine logged into that thing) to download the apps needed for what he wanted to do (ie. stream his tablets contents, videos from websites, and Youtube to his tv). He doesn't have a credit/debit card, so I had to look up whether you could actually bypass that and make sure it worked.
Troubleshooting one of the file streaming apps since it didn't want to work right out of the box (neither the tablet or stick would discover each other while using the same app on both devices, so I tried a bunch of solutions and looked up guides, but none of that worked. Ended up having to get an ftp app on his tablet so the files would be shared that way instead.)
Forced to put up with his heterosexual porn (at least it wasn't his worse content...) because he wanted to try out the streaming/file sharing functions himself, even though I already tried and showed em to him with non-pornographic content.
Constantly bothered or rushed (despite telling me to take my time and that he wasn't rushing me) to get the whole thing up and working properly, every now and then being annoying by saying "Geez, this sure is complicated." among other dumb things.
Told me to write him instructions on how to use everything and after doing so tells me to show him and let him try to do it himself because it's better that way and he can't read my writing (despite me writing it out pretty big so he could see). I was losing my patience having to put up with this and if that wasn't ridiculous enough, I even had to tell him how to use the remote itself (even children could do this by themselves).
I've found myself sleeping rather late again because of being stuck with these chores (cooking, doing the laundry, washing dishes, etc.) and being bothered by my family while trying to fit in my personal time into all of this. Hell, I've even been bothered past midnight or when I'm about to try and get some sleep just because my stepdad wants me to "fix" something or remind him how tech even works because "Man, this is really complicated.", I'm not even kidding. This also applies to when my mom bothers my bro for a favor and he "miraculously" accepts to do it (ie. letting her read the horoscope, looking up a news article, etc.) because he just ends up barging into my room and sits there on the floor until she's done with her thing. This also happens when he just feels like talking to me for no reason whatsoever. He dropped by my room a few nights ago to ask for some anime recommendations and instead of this conversation of his taking a couple of minutes it ended up lasting around an hour or more as he constantly coughed everywhere (if I end up getting sick soon, we can all blame him). I had to stop working on my drawings at the time because I don't feel comfortable drawing around him or the rest of my family (I've probably said this a lot whenever I talk about them and my situation, but they're homophobic; they also make fun of fat people so I suppose that's something else they have in common).

A friend of mine kept bringing up how he has a schedule for things he wants to do within a day whenever he dropped by the past few months, but that just simply doesn't work in this house. With the aforementioned already established, it'd probably be more stressful to try and keep a schedule when I already know it'd be impossible to keep in place (I tried doing this at one point during college and trust me, it fell apart pretty fast.

Work

Commissions and patreon are still my only source of income. I haven't even reopened the former since I've still got a backlog that I've been unable to finish as quickly as I would have liked to due to how hectic my life's been (ie. physically and mentally exhausted most of the time, among other things). I'm still slowly working on them whenever I can and I hope to have updates on those soon.

Of course, there will also be wip updates in regards to this month's patreon content when I get around to fleshing out those sketches. Thank you all for being patient with me.

Hey guys, here's an update about all that's been happening lately.
Do note that this is a rather lengthy post.

I had finally saved enough for the laptop and my friend sent it over last week. Funnily enough, it arrived a day later than the estimate (thanks to how slow the postal service can be over here) and that day ended up being my birthday, which was yesterday. I ended up going for another model that was cheaper than the one I previously mentioned, since the specs and size turned out to be better suited for me (and my friend was the one who suggested it as well). It's been running pretty well so far, save for an issue with the taskbar, but that'll probably be fixed in an update.

I thought I was feeling much better these past few days, in regards to my health and emotions, but that was pretty short-lived. My family's back to badgering me about not having a job, despite being unable to get one and really trying to focus on delivering what I owe in commissions and Patreon art. Not only that, but my stepdad (who most people I know can agree that he's an utter idiot) refuses to take the time to learn how to use his own devices and constantly hounds me for help every single day, despite having explained how to use them for well over a year... (as if my mom disturbing me at random times of the day and every single night for the same thing when she could simply use her cellphone for it wasn't enough)

Ever since my stepdad started using a tablet about a year and a half ago, everyone in this house knows that he looks up unsavory content (and I'll leave it at that, cuz honestly, not everyone needs to know what it is...), watching it via stream, recording it with a camcorder (filming the device externally might I add) and constantly replaying it in his personal corner of the living room at a volume that anyone passing by there or the kitchen can hear it. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people who can block out or ignore sounds and my room happens to be next to the living room, so if the whole house is rather quiet, it's still possible to hear it due to the walls being so thin. Every time that he asks for help it always involves said content, which he's already learned how to browse online and download videos, so I'm not sure how he can't even remember how to do the most basic of things, such as browsing your saved files, folders, and deleting stuff (he also plays the "Because I can't see well." card, despite his tablet screen being big enough for the average person to read properly).

When he asks for help, he usually ends up playing said content in front of me like it's nothing and I really DON'T need nor want to see that kind of stuff. Yesterday, during the afternoon, I was trying to clear some more space in my bedroom and I decided to give him back one of the consoles he lent me to test when he bought it last month (a used xbox 360; both the console and controller itself were in bad shape, but still worked) and apparently he forgot that he bought it in that condition and started throwing a fit about it. I also gave him back his PS2 today (which was the only other console I was testing with my own cables and controller, since his was too busted up to actually play anything with it) and with that cocky attitude of his, he told me the following:

Him: "Let's make a deal. You record my porn on dvds on your laptop and I'll give you the.... the, what's it called?"
Me: "A PS2."
Him: "Yeah, that. You do that for me and I'll give it to you as a present, BUT, you can no longer complain to me."

No one in their right mind would take a deal like that and I clearly declined several times, as he tried to make the offer sound enticing and failed. Afterward, he just threw a childish fit behind my back and got my mom to ask me the same thing. I told her the same answer I gave him, only to have her barge in later and tell me the follow:

Her: "You'd better record that for him if you wanna use the laundry machine cuz I don't have money to buy a new one!"

I assume the laundry machine probably broke down again ealier and when she asked him to fix it he most likely threw the same fit and/or threatened her that he'd only fix it again if I agree to his ridiculous demands. With all the daily stress I've had to put up with at this rate, I'll probably end up getting sick again. The same friend who helped me get the new laptop has agreed to let me stay over at his parents house while we save up for an apartment in the future, but I need to wait for him to clean up the room I'll be using and check ticket prices for flights. So for now, all earnings will go toward helping me get that ticket (assuming what I had saved up from last year for this kind of thing isn't enough) and also to help me ship some things over. Here's hoping these plans don't fall through, like what happened with the ones I made with someone else last year.

Hey guys, I meant to make a post like this sooner, but something else came up. I'll be making that the main focus of my post instead, since I probably won't be on much for a few days. The other thing can be found afterward.

P.S. I wrote this from my tablet, so there may be typos and formatting issues.

I ended up going to the hospital last night since my chest was hurting a lot and it was getting difficult to breathe, which made speaking hard (mom was a bit reluctant and using the same complaints/bitching as usual...). After being checked up and doing a few tests, I was told to rest while I waited for the results. I was too exhausted to pay attention to any of that, but the doctor told her I had a muscle inflammation or something along those lines.

I'm still feeling soso for now, but at least that's better than how I felt yesterday... I'm taking some meds they gave me and trying to take things easy, so it would probably be best for me to stay away from my laptop and working on drawings til a few days pass. I'm really sorry that this means my patrons and commissioners will have to wait even longer for me to get around their drawings, but I do hope you understand... As soon as I've rested enough, I'll get back to working on and uploading new content.

As for the other news, it's about my laptop. I don't think it's gonna last another year and I would really like to have it replaced soon, before it becomes too buggy and/or unusable. During the past few weeks, my wifi card has stopped working momentarily, my screen has gone pitch black, programs have frozen and even closed themselves somehow, and my laptop itself has crashed quite a few times for no apparent reason. This laptop has never been good for big or long drawing sessions (especially when I'm using bigger canvas sizes and/or the drawing file has a ton of layers, coloring, or parts) and while I can usually get by, it's becomes rather annoying since there's still the slight chance of my drawings freezing and crashing while I'm saving them (for now, nothing has been lost during the saving process, but still...).

A friend of mine has decided to help me purchase a new laptop (it's this one for those who are curious: https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-.....-tb-hdd/specs/ ) since his store doesn't ship to PR and happens to have it on sale, so it only comes out to $865 (with tax + warranty). He's also grabbing me a bag for it (since I really need and would like to have one for it), so the total for both things would be around $882, if I'm not mistaken. He said he'd cover the shipping costs himself.

Currently I have a total of $750 or so ($588 from comms and patreon, which are ready to be sent to my friend whenever I have enough to purchase it and $162 or so that I've had on hand, yet unable to deposit since I haven't had the chance to go visit the bank...). If I do earn more than what I need, I could use it to help him with the shipping costs or save it for moving out in the future (I'll post an update on that at another time).

Moving Situation - Update

For simplicity's sake, I'll refer to them as Friend A (Ey) and Friend B (Vi).

I just asked my friend, Ey, again for an update on the whole landlord thing, but it's still the same answer. I probably won't be asking him again; I can't keep getting anxious about whether or not there will ever be any news on that and it's been making me feel that I'm just bearing things for no reason at all. If he's got news for me, then it'll come, if not then oh well... Another friend of mine, Vi, has been asking me every now and then to keep him posted on how things with Ey are working out and in light of recent events they had offered to let me stay with them in the event that I don't find anyone else. He's going to be roommates with a friend of his once summer rolls in, so I'd have to wait even longer... Unlike Ey, however, I would need to be prepared more than I currently am and would have to save up money in advance to help out with the rent (in case things don't work out when I get there and I'm not able to get a job). I haven't checked how much it would cost to fly to Vi's place instead, so I cant give an estimate on that possible turn of events yet.

Health
It's been a week and a half since I finished the medicine I was prescribed and I've been feeling better, for the most part. Perhaps I've still got a bit of it going or I've probably become lactose intolerant over the years. Then again, there's still other foods I've been feeling tired of even if I've only had a small portion of them. Maybe I should give myself some more time? Also, I haven't really been able to get much sleep though. Either I end up tossing and turning til I eventually fall asleep or my family keeps trying to talk to me whenever I'm trying to sleep or am asleep. Basically, it's been irritating as usual.

Commissions, Drawings, and Patreon

I'm still working on these whenever I can, though I've been a bit slower since I'm trying to get back into drawing and it hasn't exactly sunken back in. At least, that's my opinion (always judging myself harshly, haha...). If you are someone who's currently on my waiting list, please refer to the following commission list. While I'm working with the current backlog, I'll be keeping their names on the list and marking them as finished once they're done. The growth drive rewards aren't listed since they aren't commissions, but I'm keeping tabs on those as well. If you want to help me save up some more or help me buy something for myself in the upcoming holidays next month, feel free to message me. However, please keep in mind that by reserving a spot in advance you'll have to wait for me to finish all the current ones.

I really need to get myself out of this funk and finish all the drawings I've been wanting to post. I'll probably try to change my coloring or drawing techniques a bit, though maybe I should just focus mostly on sketches. If I do get anything done, I'll be sure to post it.

As for Patreon, I still have to find the time to sit down and organize it properly. I mean, I had already done tier prices and whatnot, but that was half a year ago, so I'll be redoing em all and making sure they don't mess up my workload and have appropriate rewards. On the bright side, I was able to solve the whole "how to have muscle and fat without upsetting anyone or having to make a second patreon" dilemma, thanks to a friend's tips regarding uploads on there.

Health

I was sick pretty badly last month and a few days/about a week or so later I started feeling better. Of course, that didn’t last long and I started to feel sick again this month. I went to the hospital on Thursday and the doctor said I have gastritis and prescribed me some pills to see if that would help. I started taking them yesterday, so I can’t say for sure whether they’re actually working or not. Hoping to see some results in the next few days, if not, I’ll probably have to go to a gastroenterologist.

Life/Moving Out

I haven’t been able to move out yet. I’m still waiting to hear more news from my friend. The last message I got from him in regards to that was on October 3rd and he told me he’d talk to the landlord about it once they’d come to pick up the rent money. I’m not sure when that is though, probably near the end of this month? I suppose I’ll remain anxiously awaiting another answer…

Commissions and future works

Thanks to the above, commissions and other drawings had been halted completely. I will be trying to get these done as soon as I can. As always, I thank you guys for your patience, even though I don’t feel like I deserve it most of the time. Also, I have been contemplating whether to temporarily close up my commissions or not while I finish up the current ones, since a friend of mine suggested it a few times. As much as I need the money, it would probably help me focus a bit.

Also, making a Patreon of my own would surely help if there’s enough interest, though that’s been in the back burner for quite some time… I still can’t decide how I’ll be handling it, nor what content I would provide. It’s pretty problematic for me since I love to draw both muscles and chubs, and despite there being a small margin of other users that also loves both sides, I don’t want to force anyone to see or be paying for something they didn’t want. I doubt the site has an option that would remedy this situation, besides making two separate Patreons. If it came to that though, I’m not sure how feasible it would be.

Hey guys, just thought I'd make an update since it's been a while.
I've been sick since last week (stomach problems, as far as I know) and have been trying to take it easy and rest in hopes that I would feel better soon, but tbh I'm not really sure if that's even working out anymore. I'll be going to the doctor today, if possible, to see if there's anything else involved

Thanks to being sick, that had halted any progress on commissions, but now that I'm (still atm) in a sort of middle ground, I can try to work on them again. I will be messaging the current commissioners on the list that I had started work on as soon as I have something done. I hope you guys can understand and I'm thankful for how patient you've always been with me.

As for moving out, it seems my friend hasn't gotten an answer from his current landlord yet and that worries me... I might have to start asking around and see if any other friends are able to give me a place to stay, in case the landlord's answer ends up being no.

If anything new turns up, I'll be sure to let you guys know.

A friend suggested I make an update post last week, but I decided to wait a bit in case I got some more news from the one I’ll be moving in with (which I did). His boyfriend got a promotion, so they had to move to another state; they already have an apartment and shipping address available. But he wants to make sure that his current landlord is alright with me being there before I move over, as to avoid any problems with them. He told me to probably expect, at best, 3 months of me being able to stay with them if the landlord agrees (or hopefully more, depending on whether they care about such things or not). I’ll be sure to edit this post when I hear any news about it (or just make a new one, depending on the site I’m posting at).

My friend’s dad was able to take me to the DMV on Friday to finish getting my ID (I had gone with the jerk on Monday two weeks ago, but the ID system was on the fritz and after all the paper work and waiting in line, I was told to come back later during the week. I was unable to and so, since nobody was available to take me there), which I’m glad was a faster process than my last visit due to having all the paper work done.

My family’s still being as manipulative as ever, trying to get me to do whatever they want and not even splitting up the chores evenly or neglecting to acknowledge it when I complain. About two weeks ago, I was the only one washing everyone’s laundry for 5-6 days in a row and that pile just kept getting bigger everyday (mostly thanks to my bro, since he has this stupid rule in regards to his clothes: anything that falls on the floor [even if just for a few seconds] is considered dirty and has to be washed again…) Sometimes I’m even trying to multitask these chores (ie. Laundry, cooking, and washing dishes), yet they still have the nerve to interrupt me when I’m in the middle of all that or even taking a break. Even then, I’m usually using said breaks to time things and may be nagged that I -have- to stay present wherever said chores are being done, depending on what they are (this usually applies to cooking, though they have been a bit lax about it lately; also, my room is literally next to the kitchen, so I’m not sure what their deal is).

Thanks to everyone who has helped so far, whether it was by getting a commission or simply donating, I’ve earned a total of $495 for the plane ticket. I have yet to pick a flight, because I need to be sure if anyone I know would even be available to drive me to the airport on the date and time of said flight. I’ll be looking at some possible flight schedules that are well within that budget range and then ask around.

Any commissions I am able to squeeze in now will be strictly for shipping stuff, if possible. After getting my ID, my shipping/food funds have gone down to $141. I have yet to be able to visit the pawn shop again and am still hoping that what I plan to sell on my next trip helps with the funds I need to be able to send what belongings I intended to keep, because otherwise I may even have to leave some of those behind. As it is, it probably wouldn’t be enough to send a box (unless it’s super-light); according to the USPS and UPS websites that is (will probably just go to the post office and get that checked, just in case, because there might be the slightest chance that their online calculator pricing might be a bit off). The boxes themselves seem to be cheap enough (at Office Max/Depot; dunno of a cheaper place), but the bubble wrap and/or packaging peanuts seemed pretty expensive. I’ll have to check again if they’ve got them cheaper elsewhere or in smaller quantities.

As for the current commissions, I have been trying to squeeze any time available to them and trying to finish personal drawings in between when I’m not emotionally exhausted. I’m thankful that you guys are being really patient with me and I’m hoping that when I’m not bound to this horrible place anymore I’ll be able to pick up the pace at some point.

Updates

RL: Getting harder to hang in there

My family and bro’s friend are still bugging me constantly, with the former being really condescending and aggressive lately. They’re also putting words in my mouth and assuming I’m not doing or planning anything with my life, being completely unsupportive about the things I like, and trying to force me to do what they want, among other things.

Growth Drive is over

The double growth drive is officially over. Week 3 donations only reached $8 (16lbs) and since the minimum to keep it going wasn’t reached, there won’t be a drawing for Week 3. All donators will be contacted via the email they provided when they filled out the poll and will be asked what they’d like to have drawn in regards to the donation tier they reached.

Airplane Ticket and Shipping/Eating Money

Over the last month, my earnings from commissions (plus the few growth drive donations and a shirt or two that got sold) for the plane ticket have been going up, slowly, but surely. While my remaining on-hand money hasn’t gone up much compared to last time. As for the totals, they’re currently as follows:

I already graduated on the 7th, though it seems I'll have to wait a while until I receive my diploma (they only gave out the diploma cases during the graduation ceremony). I'm not entirely sure how long that will take, but I'm guessing it could be quite a few months... After having graduated, the rest of my family is slowly becoming more intrusive into my personal life and decisions and/or inducing pressure in regards to the whole being jobless situation: I don't have a job and the only way I make money is via commissions and on the rare occasion, by selling my shirt designs. Commissions have always been my main source of income, because unlike shirt designs, I get paid in full and directly (where as shirts, I only get a really small portion and have to wait for a month to get paid, assuming I even sold anything). I'm hoping that doesn't get out of hand, but knowing how things tend to turn for the worse for me, that'll probably be sooner than I expect. My bro and his friend are still at it, as usual. For those who haven't read my earlier journals, these two people have been bugging me nonstop, whether it's homophobic jokes, constantly bringing up stuff from the past, belittling me, and so on.

Growth Drive is a Go!

Because moving out is a pretty big choice and I'm pretty desperate as it is, I have decided to work extra hard on the growth drive this time and will be using two characters instead of one so both sides of my fans (fat and muscle) are able to participate! My first two growth drives years ago started with human and half-human characters, so this time I'm starting it out with anthros. That doesn't mean everyone else has to miss out though, as one of the milestones will unlock a set of human characters.

This time, each $1 = 2lb that will be added to both characters (ie. There's no need to donate $10 twice if you want both characters to gain weight). There will also be options available once again, such as where most of the weight will be gained and whatnot. Each character will have their own respective options in the poll that will be available alongside each drawing.

Earning Progress

Since the first post I had made in regards to my situation, I have received 5 commissions (3 being from a single person, mind you) and 0 donations. I'm not taking into account previous commissioners that were from before I made that post, since it obviously doesn't work that way. With these commissions alone (and tips from said commissioners), I have currently earned about $111. If I count whatever I had remaining from previous commissioners, I have saved up a total of $154. As of starting these moving out savings, I will not use any of this money for anything other than the plane ticket (or shipping items I can't take with me on board, assuming there's enough leftover for that later on). I have taken a few of my things to the pawn shop last month and had received about $100 and with what remains from my birthday money and the little amount I received on graduation day, I have $140. Unlike the money that is strictly for commissions, this one is used for food (when there's nothing to eat at home or happen to be out late) and to help ship my stuff after I'm sure that I have earned enough for the plane ticket. I still have a few things I can sell, including my own TV (so no console gaming, but I'm fine with that), and will take them to the pawn shop next time I can. Everything that is currently on my item sales list cannot be sold to the pawn shop, hence why things have been a bit slow in regards to selling my belongings.

Some of you may be wondering where I’ve been lately, whether you’re a friend, commissioner, or the occasional watcher; I’m here to clear that up now. Lately, the power over here in my neighborhood has been going out constantly, sometimes for the whole day, multiple times throughout it or just once out of nowhere. My laptop doesn’t have a battery, so it’s obvious that it’ll turn off without giving me a chance to save my progress and I’d rather not buy another one since I’ve been thinking about replacing my laptop at some point (sd card port is getting worse, colors turn inverted on whatever I’m watching if it goes into sleep mode [oddly enough, it fixes itself if I exit fullscreen and atm hasn’t affected anything else but videos], usb ports are slow and unpredictable sometimes when it comes to transferring stuff to and from tablets [sometimes disconnecting itself in the process or giving off an error when transferring a lot of files to it], being slow sometimes and so on) since I’ve already had it for about 4 years if memory serves right and I’d rather invest in a new one than pinpoint each and every issue by replacing parts because I’m pretty sure that would be more expensive.

Besides that, I’ve been dealing with depression and stress mostly caused by my family and one of my bro’s friends (aka the jerk from one of my previous posts). This has been an ongoing thing throughout my whole life (the family stuff to be exact) and while I was in elementary/high school it was tolerable to an extent (being compared to other kids, forced to lose weight when I was little, having my ankle burned with the cigarette lighter, etc.), but every year it has gotten worse and to the point that I simply can’t take it anymore; I’ve already reached my limit and broken down quite a few times during this year. I’m not sure how long I can keep this facade up in rl before I break down in public…

Not only has this been affecting me mentally, but it’s also affecting my health; I’ve been losing my appetite and as such, have been eating less than normally would or feeling like I don’t want to eat at all. There’s also been a significant lack of sleep, personal space, and privacy during most of these days because of my family (ie. fighting between themselves, being belittled, asked/told/forced to do chores or watch over things when I’m clearly asleep, people barging in to look for/grab things, etc.)

How you can help

A friend of mine has agreed to let me move into his place, but the problem is that I need money to buy a plane ticket (the ticket is around $378 last I checked), luggage bags and for shipping anything that doesn’t fit or can’t be taken during the flight to his place in advance (hoping it won’t be too expensive). You can help by either getting a commission or donating, which will count toward a growth drive I have been planning for a while (there’s a raffle and unlockable bonuses this time!). If you want to get something extra, feel free to buy some of my old stuff that I no longer use; whether you live in Puerto Rico or not isn’t an issue, unless I’m not making any income from those sales. If you do live over here though, please let me know if there’s a pawn shop or local store that does take in retro games or any of the items on the list, because I’ll probably have to leave behind everything that I’m unable to sell in the event that I’m unable to ship it to my friend’s place.

Moving day

I know this is just some pretty wishful thinking, but I’d like to move out as soon as possible after graduation day (June 7th). Hopefully I’ll receive my diploma by then and not be forced to wait it out for months like a classmate of mine had to do last year when he graduated. Since this is the first time I’d be moving, I’d like to know if there’s anything I have to do in regards to my Paypal, bank account, and medical plan (or anything else in particular?).

Square Enix Online Store 1st Anniversary Sale - Until Feb. 21st

Some of you may know that I love Final Fantasy games a lot; they’re one of my favorite rpg series, among many others. A few days ago I got an email notifying me that there was an anniversary sale going on at the Square Enix Store and it happens that one of the games I got back into, Final Fantasy 14, is part of the sale! I already own the base game (on PS3 and PC) and was planning to get the Heavensward expansion for it at some point, what perfect timing. I doubt I’ll be able to get to the base ending anytime soon, seeing as the game itself has a lot of content, but it would be nice to be prepared. Unfortunately, the PS3 versions of the game that are being sold on the SE Store are physical-only, so either I would have to wait to receive the disc or just pay the normal price on the Playstation Store (because as far as I know, the PS3 digital version of the Heavensward expansion has never been on sale) There’s also a few other things that caught my eye, so I’ll list it all below:

Here’s some answers to a few questions you might have:

“What’s the difference between FFXIV Collector’s and Standard Editions?”

The collectors edition gives you exclusive items only available via purchasing said edition or upgrading to it, such as gear, mounts, and so on; the physical version has all of that, plus tons of awesome physical goodies, like an art book, figurine, OST CD and more (but because of that, it costs much more than the digital one). The standard edition just gives you access to the expansion’s content. FFXIV is not a Pay-to-Win game, so the in-game items are mostly cosmetic.

“Why do you need two copies of the game? Don’t both of them need to be the Collector’s Edition?”

Because that’s how it works. Despite being an online game, you need to own both the PC and PS3 versions of the game and their expansions if you want to be able to play it on both platforms. As for the latter question, no. You only need to own 1 collector’s edition per base/expansion or upgrade to it once and all the platforms tied to your Square Enix account (ie. PC, PS3 and PS4) will be able to enjoy the benefits.

“If KH2.5 HD is so cheap, why not just buy it digital?”

I would if I could, but Square Enix has never sold digital versions of their Kingdom Hearts games and I don’t see them doing that anytime soon.

“So, any bonuses I can expect for commissioning you on such short notice?”

All commissions that are $10 or more (ie. Lineart, sequences) during this time will have coloring (flat colors only; no shading) for free and the option to add one additional character will be +$3 (other subsequent characters will be the regular price of +$5). Please note that this offer doesn’t apply to sketches or chibis.

I’ve been distracted and kept busy by some rl issues, so I haven’t had time to properly finish up the character for the drive. I’m kinda thinking about doing alt. versions of the character that will be used (ie. fur and human) or doing two characters for a single drive, like gitbigger did two years ago (which was really awesome btw). Maybe the latter would make people more willing to participate, though it might be a bit more taxing. I really need that matress, so despite that, it would help me out a lot. Let me know your opinions in the comments below.

How Things Are Going

I’m not sure whether they’re calming down or not, since I’ve still been stressed tbh. My back’s been killing me lately and giving me cramps since I still got that old mattress I was talking about in my last post, so I’m hoping I can finally get started on that growth drive soon. Pretty sure this thing’s already sunk even more than how it was before… My laptop’s been a bit problematic too, it’s been freezing or getting slow sometimes. This weekend I almost thought my new tablet died because it stopped responding all of a sudden no matter if I re-plugged it or rebooted. Turns out that the usb ports (one in particular is pretty bad) are dying, so I guess that also explains why I’ve only been able to power things and not charge them when I plug them in, which it was able to do so before. Because of these issues, I might add a new laptop to the list of stretch goals for the growth drive. Also, I got sick recently thanks to my bro, so I haven’t been feeling well but I’m still well enough to be able to draw. If I do get better or worse, I’ll be sure to let you guys know.
As for drawings, I haven’t been able to finish some of the ones I really wanted to post here; I’ve had a few new ones that have been nice for practice. Because of this, you’ll notice that my style’s still a bit over the place, especially when it comes to muscle and bara drawings. I’m not entirely satisfied, but I feel like I’m getting there, slowly.

College and rl crap – If you just want to read about my current commission status and the upcoming growth drive details, feel free to skip this.

You all know college has kept me pretty busy this semester and on top of that, I've had some crap to deal with because of it. Hopefully one of the major slip ups by the college itself has been settled once and for all, because if not, I would have had to find a way to pay for this semester myself... (Which is what happened the past few semesters and I never found out why, but there's a chance it could have been the same reason...) Basically, the assistant had marked me as already having a bachelor's degree for some reason and my aid request got rejected because of that. I never received any emails or letters at the post office notifying me of the issue either; the only reason I found out was because I had gone to get some papers I needed and they wouldn't give them to me until that matter was settled.
As for rl stuff, I haven't exactly been in the best mood lately as too many stressful things have been going on lately. I've had my feelings trampled on by some friends (rl friends only; the rest of you have been pretty awesome) and my bro, always being brushed off as a joke or "stuff that I shouldn't take so seriously". There's also the ever-annoying comparisons, belittling and whatnot that are considered as a "fact" by them, then having the nerve to ask me "Why are you so bitter?" "Laugh a little." and so on.

Last week (on Tuesday or Wednesday iirc) my brother made me skip out on lunch all because he needed some money to buy Karma Koin, a card that’s used to get currency for use in the ingame cash shop of Nexon games nowadays, though his favorite game (and tbh, the only one he plays when no one’s over for a visit), Elsword, also takes those cards in exchange for K-Ching (its cash shop currency). He tried to justify this by picking at my weight and eating habits, telling me that I didn’t need to eat because I’m fat (which I am, but that doesn’t mean I have to take shit from him, especially when it doesn’t affect him in any way whatsoever). Not only that, but his other reason for justifying it was that “he hadn’t bought any K-Ching since a year ago or so” and that “his reasoning is right and hasn’t made any mistake whatsoever with that choice”. We’ve never really gotten along and I’ve never expected to, but as you can see from that he’s getting worse every year.

Lately, my bro’s been trying to make me look bad in front of those guys and hide his leeching incompetent nature from them, even though they already know that part of him pretty well (and they also know of the events I mentioned before, which is why his incompetence shift failed miserably last night). While I may not be perfect, I’m glad that I’m nothing like them because I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to meet all of you throughout these past few years. I might not be able to spend much time with you guys, but you’re all a very important part of my life.

New growth drive coming soon; new payment method for commissions available
My mattress is pretty old (it was a hand-me-down from my uncle when he moved out of my grandpa’s house, along with the bed and wooden support which aren’t really in the best shape either; I think they might still hold, but we’ll see) and it’s been killing my back this whole semester. A few springs in the mattress have already pierced out of it on both sides, ruining a few of my bedsheets; the mattress itself has already sank around the middle and it just keeps getting deeper. I’ve put a comforter over the bed to not get myself poked any longer and help soothe my back, though it hasn’t worked at all for the latter. I estimate that I’ll need about $200 just for the mattress (depending on the store and/or sales going on this season), though I’ll need a bit more to buy new sheets and bedding to replace the ruined ones.

I also need to buy a new laptop battery because the one I had bought last year just died completely yesterday. It didn’t really last long, probably like 5 months, since it was a no-name 3rd party one, but for the price (compared to getting an original one, which is expensive for what it does) it was worth it. The original ones seem to be having a pretty good sale on Amazon right now, though there doesn’t seem to be any trustworthy sellers that are able to ship over here. If anyone knows anywhere else that I might be able to get a good deal on original laptop batteries or some good 3rd party brand, let me know. (It’s for a Dell Inspiron 15 3520)

As for new payment methods, I’ve opened up a public wish list on Amazon where you can see some of the stuff I’d love to have at some point and items that you’ll be able to buy for me as payment for a commission. The available commission types for these are the same as usual, though in some cases I’ll have to round it out and discuss it further, just to be sure that you’re getting your money’s worth (and that I don’t overwork myself haha). New items might be added every now and then, such as collectibles, gaming stuff, bigger clothing, etc.

Please note that this payment method should only be used if you do not have a Paypal account/are unable to pay through Paypal itself.

Long story short, I’ll be doing a new growth drive with an original/new anthro character to buy the mattress and sheets. Any new commissions from now on will also apply towards this and/or other personal things, such as a new battery for my laptop. Items bought through the Amazon Wish List will also count toward the weight said character will be gaining. I’ll post about it again once I have everything ready.

Been busy trying to deal with some stress and college stuff, glad the latter's mostly sorted out, I just hope it stays that way (otherwise I will need to do commissions more often; more info on that after I get through the overdue ones). Still in a sort of bleh mood and it doesn't help that allergies are starting back up again, which might end up making me sick.

I'm still trying to work under these conditions when I can, but it hasn't really worked out and it's been really counterproductive as far as the rate of finished drawings and commission progress goes. I hope you guys can understand...

Sorry for the lack of activity. Stuff suddenly happened a few weeks ago and I haven't been able to use my laptop much or even draw since then (long story short: bro's laptop died and he's been borrowing mine ever since...)

He was gonna get a new one this weekend, but it seems that's been moved to either tomorrow or sometime this week instead...

I didn't make a journal post at first because I didn't think it would take him this long, but it's been stressing me out a lot as of late. Not only is it because I can't do what I want and see what I like (giants, bara, etc. you get the idea) while he's still borrowing it (because he's also been staying in my room so he doesn't have to carry my laptop back and forth between our rooms), but also because I haven't been able to practice like I wanted to and have yet again slowed down on commissions; this was something I wanted to avoid during summer...

I've been trying to keep in contact with those that I was able to send wips to before the whole thing happened either via laptop while my bro's asleep or tablet. I can't express how sorry I am to be making you guys wait a lot for the finished drawings and I'll still attempt to plow through them once this whole mess is out of the way.

P.S. The first month of summer is about to end and I really feel like I didn't accomplish anything at all due to the aforementioned stuff. I hope things get better during the next few days or next month; I wanna get my summer's worth.

Regarding commissions

I forgot to post a proper update like I did on DA and Tumblr, but thanks to the small few who had gotten commissions at that point I was able to buy those supplies I needed for my class (despite not reaching the estimate; found some really good deals on ebay).

The college payments are still a thing; one’s been taken cared of already, but I wasn't able to get anything for the 2nd payment. Only the following two $159 payments remain for the following dates:

March 11th (never made it; have to pay extra now)
April 6th

Slowdowns

I've been swamped with assignments, seeing as midterms are next week, so I haven't had much time for these besides doodles or small tweaks. (hopefully things will slow down by the end of next week)

Also, the version of Sai I was using broke down on me a day or so ago, it wouldn't run without compatibility mode set to Vista and was unable to open large canvas drawings for some reason (which made me unable to work on some of the current commissions). I looked up another version to see if that was the problem because at first I thought it might have been that some new updates that were installed might have made Sai incompatible for life, but I'm glad that wasn't the case.

I just need to re-add my brushes and everything should be good to go!

I’ve had so many things slow me down on the new example drawings, so I’ll just post this announcement instead of holding it back even more… I need to buy some art supplies for next week because I’m behind in one class due to being unable to buy them myself (There wasn’t much income from winter break and what little I had has already been used for supplies needed in another class or food) and also because I need to pay off the remainder of the semester costs due to financial aid not giving me enough again (it’s less than what happened last year, but still).


I need to make around $200-$300 to be able to buy the supplies I need for that class (if anyone’s wondering, it’s Airbrush). I’m only giving an average number because the price might differ depending on the brand and I’ll probably end up having to buy the stuff in person instead of online (unless the shipping happens to be super fast), so the remainder would cover the gas costs for whoever I can get to take me because art stores in PR are pretty far from my house…

As for the uncovered semester costs, I need to make $477, which is spread out as 3 payments (one per month) of $159 on the following dates:

February 16th
March 11th
April 6th

I know I won’t be able to make the first one, but that’s fine since they let you pay despite being late (can’t recall if the amount would increase by 5% or 10% though).

If you can’t get a commission yourself, please spread the word or send someone who’s interested my way. I’d really appreciate it.
