I don't think anybody reads these, but just in case-
I am closing comissions permenantly.
I am working on refunding someone some money I owe.
I am still doing a few free headshots for people I have approached about them.
After this...no more comissions.
I may take some one at a time in the future but for now, I'm closing down.
Reasons:
-Wanting a different style/direction of my art
-Not feeling my quality of comissions and quality of personal art is the same.
-Not being able to post kink-related comissions due to comissioner wishes. I wouldn't mind so much, but I have almost no comission examples to show new clients because of this. Even though I have done several.
-Lack of interest. At this point....I'm selfish about my time and I'd like to spend it exploring themes that interest me or are important to me personally.
-wanting to explore new mediums. I've taking interest in art dolls and sculpting as of late.
-Bending over backwards because it's been instilled in me that my art needs to be useful (ie if it's not bringing in money it's useless). I am hoping in the future I can make what I want to make and still gain interest from others. Even if I don't make money from it, it still has value to me.

Completed inktober this year. I'll be posting it here hopefully in small chunks daily until complete. Going to try to start daily posting in place of daily lurking/faving.

First of all....I'd like to issue an apology to anybody that's comissioned me in the past six months or so. I know some of you have been waiting since July, I promise I will get those to you (mailed and all) before I take my break. If I've agreed to do a trade with you I will probably put it on hold. If you dont want to wait or want to drop a trade I understand.

I am going to take a break from everything for the month of October. I tried and mostly finished Inktober last year and I'd like to do it again this year as something for myself. I saw a lot of improvement in my art and I'd like to keep challenging myself with things when I can work on them.

I've been living with a lot of other people for about a year. Including the partner I live with and myself, there's about nine people on the property and in the house. I am a very private/quiet/withdrawn person at home and this among other reasons make this situation less than ideal for me. We are looking for other options in town closer to where we work as our current place is a 45min commute both ways.

I lost my job of six years back in June. There was a harassment issue with many of the employees and the bosses(HR included) refused to do anything about it because the problem was with a family member. Ten of us quit without a backup job after our boss responded to claims of sexual harassment against her husband with a nasty note about the dresscode (victim blaming) and calling those affected liars.

On a positive note, I took a temporary job almost immeadiately after that for about a month and then discovered my current job was hiring. So I work at a sort of quirky retail, music and souvenir place. I'm really greatful to be working here and feel lucky to have found another job at all. Aside from retail and management, I really don't have much work experience. Even though I dont make as much as I used to and my hours are not really up to me, I'm just glad to have steady work and a safe place to work.

This brings me to my next point, I've been struggling a lot this past year. I haven't felt like I had much control over anything in my life since I moved back to Montana (even though I love being here). I had already been diagnosed with PTSD from some things that happened in my childhood. I went to counceling for that specifically from about 2016-2017 in May. This still affects me on a day to day basis and I don't always have a good handle on it. It does affect my ability to handle things that should be easy for me as an adult. It is a continual frustration to be fine some days and completely not fine on others.

I have not been feeling normal or well for a while now. I started to experience things I'd never experienced before that I wasn't sure were related to PTSD anymore. Some of them were very scary. I still don't know exactly what's going on there so I'm not going to share what those experiences are right now. Those abnormal experiences led me to the mental health center here. I went through the screening process and found out I do qualify for help. I'm in the process of getting signed up. They reconfirmed my diagnosis of PTSD and also let me know I have major depressive disorder. I'm still prosessing that. There's been a lotnof good things that have happened since I went in for help, I'm trying to remember that as I go into this....that not all of it is bad. That's pretty much it for now..



TLDR: I will finish comissions before taking a break in the month of October. I habe been struggling with my living situation, finances and mental health in the past year. I'm getting help and am trying to look at the good things.

Things are starting to look up. Have orientation for a new job today so I'm excited about that. Thanks to friends I've gotten a lot of comissions and trades recently. Feeling better about where my art's at and how I can improve. Really enjoying everything on the work/art side of things.

Personal things are still subject to daily changes but now that a lot of the work stuff has cleared up with my last job, I'm thinking more positively on that too....which is honestly a bit out of character for me in the past five or so years. I don't think I realized how much that environment was making me tired and just generally depressed. I'm really glad to be out of there.

I've been toying with the idea of switching accounts or setting up a secondary for personal RP related pieces for about a year or more now. I have had a temporary one set up for a test run for a few months. There's things I like and some I don't. I may still drop that one and make another. I've been slowly growing apart from my first sona for years now and no matter how many redesigns I've given they dont seem to fit anymore. Which is okay. I'll keep them for nostalgia but I might discontinue using the original version of them.

For right now, my male goat sona is where I'm comfortable or always with my monster dog Grin, like my current icon. There's one other main character I keep coming back to in RP/stories with one of my partners and I'd really like to give him his own account. He's not really interesting or flashy but I am comfortable with this character and I'd like to continue creating with him. When I am ready I might share that account here or be announcing an account switch. I haven't decided yet. He's got years of stories behind him now so I'd like to start posting art and writing related to him. He's important to me and my mate so I want to make a place for him to grow.

Trying to keep my head up but boy this has me worried...
I've gotten to the interview stage so many times only to
never hear back from places that said I would be a good fit.
I even made second tier interviews on some places...yet still nothing.
Hoping that my luck hasn't just run out....I have enough for a few more months of car payments and gas, but after that my money will be gone. x.x
I feel very lucky that my mom & sister have put up with me for this long.
