Vexstacy does beautiful detailed furry work in a mostly pin-up sort of style.
Her topic today is on the difference between drawing what you love
and being stuck by limiting what you draw to the often incorrect notion
that only "sex sells". She brings up some great points, so please have a look!

Basically what I gather from this is,
if you draw what you actually love to draw,
what you're passionate about, it will show in your work.
The followers, and possible cashflow will come in time if you aren't
limiting yourself and your artwork to what others say is the

Just moved & will be very broke until I get my last paycheck from my work.
If you can spread the word or buy, please do. Doing my best to stay afloat until I can find work here. I'm already down to my last $130. Looking for whatever job I can get. Hoping to sell nearly all of my characters save a few treasured ones. Just don't care anymore, probably won't have time to draw them all, or the money to spoil them. They need rehomed. I need the money. Very tired & stress. Please pardon my attitude.

This seems dumb/ridiculous to me since I do exactly that at my job all day long.
Streaming or entering someone's stream is like....walking into a room of people & being like,
"HEY.I AM HERE NOW TALK TO ME."
I am not that kind of person & it makes me sooooo anxious. ;.;
I also hate lurking because I do a lot of that on the internet already & feel it's sort of...rude? in a way?
My point, how do you people do it?
Any advice for getting over this dumb fear?
There's a lot more to it than that...but this will do as a starter..
I keep holding out hope that somehow my life will allow me to try art as a job
but this thing seems huge to me. I feel like I could never build the base I'd need to get by because I
am scared to death of streaming/being seen as rude/unfriendly. I am just really really anxious about this

Bills are kicking my ass & I'm going to need some extra
after I pay rent & my insurance came out already.
I'd like to cover small stuff until I get paid again. In two weeks.
enough to cover my fiance & I for one meal a day, dog food &
my phone so I can at least get have a means of communications for
family & emergencies.
Make an offer on most any character of mine & I will consider it.
Off limits are marked in the name spot because I either am too attached or do not have permission to sell them.
This sucks but I can't hoard characters when I need food. I'll be posting more later, but

Summer slump
Posted 9 years agoOhhhhhh my.... massive art block as of late. I have hit a legit wall & my hand & my imagination don't seem to be communicating well. Work has been kicking my butt & my energy level in addition to other personal stuff that needs my focus. Sorry I know it's not much of an update.
Enough about me, what are my fellow party animals up to this summer?? We haven't been able to travel much this year. Are you traveling, swimming, camping or playing tourist somewhere? What are you up to?
