MFF stuff is also almost done! gonna be opening for some commissions in a lil bit, working hard on organizing myself and preparing for the new year currently!

MFF was super fun! I was overwhelmed a bit by all the stuff happening so constantly but GOSH it was all great shit. those who stopped by to say hi, or stop by to say hi and buy some merch/commissions, bless u and <3 !! y'all keep my bills paid and my cat fed and I can't thank you enough for the kindness and business!

Regarding commissions I have sent out messages to everyone that nabbed one, my super goal is to get it all done by the 20th, though to keep it safe I've said till the end of the month. Thanks for everyone's patience, and hope you all had fun for everyone that attended MFF!

i just got wrist issues from drawing, AND i just got laid off from work! wowwweee this is a fierce double whammy
so hopefully ill be more active on here since, looks like i might have a whopping extra 40 hours a week where ill be at home,

I had a BLAST at AC and got to meet a lot of new faces! I am glad to have gotten opportunity to hang out with anyone and thank you everyone who bought commissions or shirts from my booth! I'll try to see about making an official spot online for anymore shirt orders, as I have plenty left!

I have also finished sending out information about my commission queue to all that stopped by and bought a badge or anything, I went down my entire list but just in case, if you bought something and did not receive a message from me please contact me here and I will correct the contact information!

also i ate a lot of bad food and wrecked myself but it's 4th of july today so I am going to continue that diet for just a bit wee longer, KISSES

GOMEN not a lot has been posted again, im gonna try to get back into the swing of things, our warehouse switched CEOs and well basically we are being worked a lot more and good golly if i dont come home completely wiped everyday, it makes job 2 really hard but i gotta work a better fix so i can manage both better

well i just got a new computer that my friend completely put together for me because he's a very kind man and im a dumb hot dog that had no idea what to do, TOOK ME A MOMENT TO GET ALL THE STUFF UPDATED AND INSTALLED again, the brain power of a hotdog, but now i am back and here

our flight got delayed by an entire day so I unfortunately missed all of Fridays business and I'm doing my best to not be an anxious mess over that loss in business and hopefully try to nab a seat for Saturday and Sunday!

but when I'm not doodling for sure let's all hang out and have beers etc, I would like to do a lil bit of partying of course

HEY I'm gonna be going down for FWA, I've never been there but same with MFF this year and I had a ton of fun with you guys SO I know this one can be just as fun

I'll be (hopefully) selling in the artist alley again, I am curious if people would be interested in badge commissions for pre-order, I'd need a moment to figure out things but if so I could offer digital waist/thigh ups for around 45-55 USD

I am entering my third week soon and will unfortunatly admit that my commissions are going about a week and a half behind schedule, it's a mixture of getting communication from some, but since the con I have had to deal with getting a car, and plowing through my warehouse job's peak season. we've been not only gtting called in everyday of the week, but I have to end up going home later each day and I get a little exhausted :,3
I have not forgotten anyone, you are all on my list, I have about 10 more commissions to finish up, and I am still planning and set for finishing it all before the end of the year, too. But I also just wanted to give you that update of where I am in the commissions, about half have been finished, S O O N my precious

other then that I hope you all have a good holiday and can make it wherever you need to go to see family or friends during the time, weathers been getting odd and making some days hard to drive about so safe driving and all, :y eat holiday ham and drink beer

WOW ok so i have been to a lotta conventions and this one was one of my favorites, i had a great time getting to see everyone, floor wars especially was nice, and then that after party floor wars in that tiny room was great, and drawing a bunch and meeting new artists is always fun

ALSO IF YOU COMMISSIONED ME, firstly, THANK YOU, this weekend helped me a lot towards getting a car, and you're all wonderful people to want to commission me

tomorrow after work i will be going over my entire list and compiling all the needed refs and whatnot from you all, and you will also recieve a message from me about your status in the queue. i plan on finishing all of these within three weeks, you will also be contacted when i start and finish your piece

what I've done in the past have mostly been 45 dollar watercolor badges but I will also be adding colored pencil commissions and sketch commissions, to which I'll have examples ready and at the con to show.

SORRY i have been a little less posty lately I had a few personal projects to get out of the way and then a few days ago MY CAR DIED so THAT BLOWS. the head gasket specifically. the head gasket blew its dick off and coolant and oil and what have you is all a mess + radiator is shit garbage. BUT HEY, it's a 15 year old DODGE minivan with almost 200k millage on it and I honestly am happy it went this far.

IT JUST HAPPENED SO OUT OF THE BLUE IS MY ISSUE.

but im gonna start reorganizing, getting back with commissions, icons what have you. I AM ALSO GONNA BE AT MFF SELLING :3c

WELL I really have no idea howhat much longer I'll be working at the place I do now and so I'm gonna keep things rolling here by adding more to my weekly stuff

first off I'll be posting about icon slots later today so look out for those lil puppies. secondly I think I'm gonna try to post some solo YCH, I'd like to do some Halloween theme cause hey why not, and see if I can't organize a few slots for full character commissions REALLY IT'S ALL DEPENDANT ON GETTING NIBBLES ON MY LURE but I'm gonna try gosh darnit

I am a chuggin along and while it looks like a small work load, I finished all my icons in the time limit I gave for myself so hopefully that is sign that I can continue that

I will be opening icon commissions tomorrow evening hopefully! Look out for them!

I've been out of college for a little over a year now and since i've made a steady decline in everything i've cared for which is, to say in the least, disappointing. Back in college I used to have so much energy to do quite literally everything, I double majored, I worked, and kept up with a sport and a few groups throughout my four years. After the pressure of school was gone, I slipped into a rather lazy habit of doing less and less until now it's trickled down to me being proud if I could do one thing for the entire day. I guess lazy isn't the best word, i've let my depression eat me if I could be more exact. And while my depression bogged me down my anxiety ramped me up but i'd still spend my days doing really nothing. I miss the days where I took on the exciting challenge of painting over 6 foot canvases, where the scale of a challenge didn't scare me. This is all rather personal but I guess i wanted to dump some thoughts somewhere eventually.

WHAT IM GETTING TO THOUGH, is that I miss that. I really miss making art and with all those years spent working towards what I wanted, a job in art, I settled for a warehouse job right out of college. It hurts to come home every day from work and not having anymore energy to spend, As a result I let my entire health decline and i've hit such a pit the last few months that i'm tired of it. I want to do better and I want to be better. I went to college to pursue art and I want to see myself accomplish that goal. Now a commission artist is certainly one form of art and right now that's something i'm very interested in. A more personal goal is i'd love to get back into canvas painting and pursue more abstract and post modernist work, but illustration is still a heavy heavy passion of mine and I'm gonna shoot for that.

I would like to stop working in a warehouse. Where I come home everyday too tired to draw, I want to fix that.

But it takes time, and I am prepared to keep my momentum up, I just need some help (HONK HONK, NAMELY BUSINESS, EXCUSE THE BLUNTNESS) I've always enjoyed entertaining people and creating art for clients, for what few commissions I do here and there, I've always enjoyed.
My first goal is to keep my momentum going upwards until I can make a habit of it, and generate a follower count on here. I need to build funds to get myself off a laptop and onto a proper computer, get off my baby peanut tablet though. I'd very much prefer to do commissions, I hope this isn't coming off as asking for donations. I don't feel right accepting them usually.

SO FOR THE TL;DR PEOPLE:

I am tired of being depressed and not having energy to draw and im gonna fix it, I would like to make a career out of art

what is the point of this journal and why does it concern anyone? Well i don't have a lot of confidence but I guess what I'm asking, is if you would like, and under no pressure I hope, I'm asking for boosts. I want to generate business and be able to live off of my work.

IS WEEK ONE THOUGH, I AM GONNA START OFF SLOW, im opening a small batch of icons and a YCH, I am gonna build to more and more hopefully!

i have a few people that have messaged me for commissions from that and just a few inbetween ive responded i would get to after my queue was done, im going to take the smaaallest break and catch up on a few quick other arts, ill be out of town for a couple days next week and i should open back up again next weekend, expect a note around then hOPEFULLY IF Y'ALL STILL INTERESTED

in other news i saw ghostbusters and yes it is a very good movie, its very campy like the first one so dont go in thinking its supposed to be some cinematic masterpiece cause its just a goofy fun movie that everyone that got to be a part of it looks like they had a lotta fun, also, hot ghost fighting babes come on
