I'm 23 now!! Wooo woooo!!

I havent had a journal here in forever, but i may as well give a few updates :

-I'm now 22 years of age.
-I got engaged!
-I'm getting ready to buy a gaddamn house!!
- I'm a Professor in Capoeira, and my new name is Labareda Negro.
-I'm mad jealous of  black-kalak and her art skills, and if I ever see her in real life, I'm gonna pop her in the forehead! >:Thursday

But other than that, I hope that you all have had a good last couple of months! :D

Wooooo! My birthday was yesterday, I'm finally 21, I got some new Abada Capoeira pants, i got my new Roxa/Violeta Corda, and it's bem an amazing second half of the year!!

With all of this good news, I may start posting art on a regular basis soon!!!

I'm shaking my head right now..Lol. so! I was at school today, and hanging out with friends, both new and old. So while I'm sitting there, talking with friends, one of them asks if I'm a Furry, because I'm drawing a group picture. And I reply "yes, I am a Furry, I've been one for about 6 or 7 years", and I hear someone in the distance say "man, I didn't know black people were into this. I don't even wanna be a Furry anymore, dude". So I just stop and listen, and try to shush my group and look towards who says it, and it's a Caucasian girl. So I'm looking in her direction, and her friend who's turned towards me has a surprised look on her face and immediately nudges her friend to alert her of my knowledge of their conversation. She turns around to see me give her that look..you know, the one Chief Bei-Fong gave to Korra that one episode? Yeah, that one. Then her face turned completely red and she left as quickly as possible.

Like damn, girl!

And it's already been quite a year. I broke it off with my fiancee of 5 years, only to find she'd been talking intimately to another 2 months before we even broke it off. My..mom's sperm donor died 2 days ago. All of this media fueled racism has begun to affect the new life of my new partner and I, and it's coming from both sides. I hate this..and I hate that people are trying to make me choose. I love her with all of my heart, and nothing no one says will change that. But..I well lay down my life to defend her. She may be White, and I may be two types of Black, but I love her with everything I have..I just hate what our society is becoming.

So..this year has been so bad, lol. I'm so very ready fur a new year..I had a pretty serious cigarette problem, I lost my passion for capoeira for a while..but it's getting better. I'd lost my one love..but I got her back. I've even died..but this year will be so much better!! Happy New Year to All!!

Whenthere is no home to go to. Yep. I'm homeless now. Been so fur two days.. I'll admit it sucks. But at least i have some help. It's all good though..i have more time to be a martial artist for a bit. I am looking for a job, but with no luck in a lot of places. -sigh- Tis the trials of life i guess. GOTTA KEEP MY HEAD UP THOUGH!!

So first off, i have a few achievements that I'd like to share.

1) I finally have my newest Capoeira name, it used to be Sombra-Lobo from my first mestre from years ago, and now it's Energia
2) I've gotten to a high enough level in Capoeira to where I'm a junior instructor.
3) I've taught myself 4 new moves.
4) I can successfully and effectively use Capoeira in a street fight.
5) I'm currently in the process of learning Portuguese.
6) I've been doing more familial research, and I've found that my grandpa on my dad's side is from Recife, Brazil.
7) I'm.. famous in my city..?
And... that's it really xD, but besides all of this positive stuff, i still have quite the art block, and it sucks..

I reallly wasnt expecting to see myself turn 19 ^w^;, but Im glad that I am. Even though today is turning out to be a bit of a drag, weather sucks, and i gotta walk like 12 miles later, its still pretty cool XD

oi..I've been having such bad art block recently. I have no idea where it came from, either! I have all of these ideas in my head, but they don't wanna come out on paper! >:OO ITS DRIVING ME MAD!!!

So while out and about yesterday, doing my usual training routine in downtown Raleigh, NC, a random onlooker approached me with a few interesting questions.

The first question asked if I was dancing or fighting, because I was practicing Capoeira at that moment in time. So I explained that it was a mixture of both really, a brief synopsis of it's origins, and what style i practice myself.

The second question she asked was had I ever had to use my skills in a actual fight. I told her of course, and though I have, its not as often as I want. I actually enjoy a good tussle, as long as the other understands that it's simply a means of testing skill and connecting.

and her Last question was "Why do you fight?"

I didn't have an answer at the moment, so I just told her that it was enjoyable..

...but after a while I thought on it and..I fight because I love to move. I love to test myself. I like to exchange movements with others, and in a way, it's a kind of exchange of ideas that only other artists could understand.

and I refuse to be weak ever again..I came up in a pretty rough childhood, and I was always to weak to do anything for anyone..being to weak to protect those who mattered most to me. So now, I will forever improve the way I fight because...I Fight for the Future. (lol street fighter 3 reference*)

Hey peeps, sorry I haven't put up many of these recently. I'm currently recovering from an injury..I was attacked by some wanna-be thugs and got hit with a crow-bar to the head. and other places Dx

I'm totally alright though! It just hurrrts so very much xD and doing some home physical recovery.

So now its officially over. Long and drawn out but its over now. I chose to go out as the bad guy though so she never has to worry about me trying to come back but..at least she can go on with her life..x'3.

So I know that the title made like no sense...but basically it means that I'm starting a new chapter in meh life. I've just recently separated with my mate for certain reasons that I'm not at liberty to say right now. After a long and drawn out break-up, we're finally on good terms with each other, so that's a plus. As a result, I've been doing a lot more Capoeira and drawing a lot more too kind of ease my mind a bit..and its working a bit, but I think I may need to do more meditation..but dun worry gais and gals!! I gots dis!! XD

oh yeah!! Bonobo's new album, "The Northern Borders" is like..amazing to my ears right now!! If i may make a request for yous gais, Id say go and listen to "Ten Tigers" and "Cirrus".

So yeah, like the title says, I'm havin some girl troubles. I honestly just think its the fact that we've been together for like 3 years, and for some damn reason that's unheard of in the 21st century..a lot of people seem not to want to be with the same person for longer than a month let alone a single year. Kids these days...

I really and honestly think its me..-sigh- I wanna like..expand my artistry and improve on my label as an artist, but I can't really do that sitting still for hours at a time..unless I'm drawing or making music, but still..she just doesn't really seem like she's all to interested anymore and it both annoys and saddens me..Maybe I just want too much out of life?? Maybe I'm just too thoughtful for my age..a lot of people tell me that I'm rather mature for an 18 year old African-American, Brazilian(ish) and Blazian kid who still plays Sonic the Hedgehog and listens to Video Game music. -sigh- I HAVE TOO MUCH SMARTS GAIS!!!
