Posted 10 years ago A couple of things I would like to address in this journal.
1. I'm not dead.
2. I do intend on finishing commissions.
3. Shit happens and life is out of my hands at the moment and I'm doing my best.
4. Small and short life update for those who were worried about me.
So let's get to it.
1. No, I am not dead. I am here, I'm still alive, and kicking. If that wasn't made apparent, I apologize.
2. I do intend on finishing commissions. I have the sketches still in my possesion but I lack my tools of the trade, which a friend is graciously lending me due to my life situation which I will update shortly. Yes, I will finish them. Yes, I will give everyone an opportunity to swap out characters if need be, and yes, I am sorry.
3. Shit happens. I was homeless for a bit and I had the great fortune of being allowed back home. I've been here for three months trying to get my crap together, so even though you all have been extremely gracious in giving me time, I still need a bit more yet to finish up and get settled so that I can give you what you paid for. But shit happens.
4. Now for a bit of explanation. Short sweet and to the point: I was homeless, got kicked out of my father's house for a dispute between him and his new wife and thus I moved to another family members to which I kept hopping houses. Fortunately for me I met an amazing man who took me in and loves me dearly and I'm proud to announce I'm expecting. That being said I have the greatest luck in having amazing friends and family who are assisting me be the best I can be and do everything necessary, and on the top of my list is finishing these commissions. I don't forget, haven't, and won't forget.

Posted 12 years agoHoly...crap. I first and foremost would love to apologize to everyone waiting on art from me. Things have been coming up like crazy, and I'm not being the best artist ever at the moment either. I am being lazy, procrastinating. I sincerely, sincerely apologize. I'm actually as I type this drawing up one of the commissions, the plushie one since it's the bigger in terms of characters. And I thought I'd just post up this little announcement.
No, I haven't forgotten.
I hope everyone can forgive me, and I don't blame anyone for being upset with me.

Hoo, it's been a while. Hello everyone. I just wanted to update the situation that I had been in. Firstly, I've graduated! Hoorah. So now that that is out of the way, I've also gotten a laptop that can handle SAI and can take my tablet flawlessly. That being said, i'm most likely going to do the following. Considering I tend to always bite off more than I can chew, I'm going to start the 20$ YCH and see how I can do with the Rave YCH, unfortunately the Plushie YCH is just too much for me at the moment and I will attempt to refund that ASAP. The comic I had been intending to release is probably not going to happen due to more personal things, and I'm referring to Pekoe. I'm still going to keep up the cover art, but just...it's not going to happen. Sorry for that. I know I owe a LOT of rafflers prizes, and I usually do those when I'm bored. So I'm sorry if you haven't received those, you might soon, depending on how things continue. Lastly, the other comic I had been working on still MIGHT happen, or I might just draw a group picture. It depends, I'm rusty again due to hiatus. Thanks for your patience and thank you for commissioning me. If there is anything I haven't covered here, feel free to note me.
Personal:
A couple of you have been sending me messages asking about updates, and I cannot stress how thankful I am that all of you have been so patient and understanding. During this break I've gotten to know myself more and I think I have a much brighter outlook on life, and I appreciate everything that you guys do for me. No more sobby self pity, no more vents. I'm thankful for what I have and I appreciate the community as you guys have all given me wonderful things, and I hope I have given you wonderful things in return. I know I've probably ruined my 'good artist' rep by being incomplete and inconsistent with my work, but that's okay because I'm trying my best to come back and apologize for all that and try to turn over a new leaf and start to change that. Ontop of this I have two positive influences in my life, and I'm ready to take life on with a smile instead of fear. Thank you to EVERYONE who has ever commissioned me, been kind to me, anything. I appreciate you all.

I don't enjoy when people doubt me. Particularly teachers. You're not supposed to doubt me. You're supposed to put faith in me and help me along. Yes I have a bit of a workload, but I'm sorry, my life doesn't revolve around fake tanning and coaching female's volleyball, sir.
Cut me some slack.
That being said: I apologize. I'm not the punctual artist I'd like to be. I feel it has made my watchers doubt me. Please don't. I promise, every single one of you, I am trying my best to juggle this god awful online course and the art I owe. I feel I've gotten into this limbo. I know I have commissions that are overdue, but I also know I have school work. Do I slip up the art? Do I just finish the essay tonight and do the rest next week?

A little bit of a life update (though I believe no one will REALLY need to know/care): I have been contemplating joining the armed forces again, and it's been stressing me out a bit. It's another bit of limbo I've gotten into. Do I join the armed forces, make my folks proud? Do I pay for school, costing an arm and a leg to become a Psychologist, taking 10 years of my life with me? It's a lot, and I feel I'm being moronic by thinking of this all now while I'm already in this state. I talked to bluebreeze about it, but I guess it didn't really help. I don't have faith in myself to do either.
Why am I such a mess?
Things have been going on, oh so many things.
What do you guys think of me? Should I stop doing commissions because I'm not punctual? Does it bother you? Should I switch accounts and start anew? What do you think of my style, does it need a revamp? What should I work on? What do YOU want to see more of, if anything? More auctions, less auctions? Preposes? Should I bring back adopts? I feel like some of my watchers have left. Should I spice my work up with something? I don't know.
Tablet might be here tomorrow. For now? School work until Wednesday. I need to prove to my teacher that doubting people is just a nice way to make yourself look silly in the end.
New Tablet & Updates
Posted 12 years agoOrdered a new tablet, my tablet is basically kaput. Might get it on Saturday or Monday, depends.
Again, I want to apologize for how long it's taking me for commissions, They'll be done relatively soon. The issues I'm running into with the RAVE one is that I noticed anatomical errors and am attempting to fix them as I line. I almost have Asirel lined completely.
[Edit:] Asirel is now lined, and I'm moving down the line! Should have this lined tonight. o-o
The issues I'm running into with the PLUSHIE one is that the plushies actually take A LOT more time than I believed they would. I really have to sit and work on them.
I have a PREPOSE that I have to complete for someone, that'll be done when I finally get my auctions atleast flat colored or half shaded, as preposes are exactly that.
After that commissions will be closed so I can focus on my online course. Thanks for understanding.
You Need To Go Out
Posted 12 years agoMy father and I did some really quick, light shopping due to the immense snow that randomly fell down. Our Wal-Mart has a Subway in it, so we decide to go an grab dinner.
So, I'm REALLY shy when it comes to asking for things or figuring out what I want. The girl asked me what bread, I shrugged and stuttered. So my dad chimed in and said white. I nodded. The girl asked what type of cheese. I look at my father with my mouth agape. He shakes his head and says Provolone. I nod in agreement.
My father looks at me square in the eye and says 'This is the reason you need to go out.' And I looked at him and laughed.
A man, who NEVER goes out to hang out with his buddies, sits on the phone all day, on the sofa, chilling out AT HOME after work tells me I need to go out.
Well, damn. I think I need to go out more guys. This is embarrassing.Attention YCH Plushie Participants

Ahem. Right now I'm sketching out the Rave Prepose and I'm also going to finish Sigma's Commission (SORRYIT'SBEENLIKEFOREVER) Today, and I'm really thinking the plushie will be done today too.

Also, at the very bottom of the list is my mature prepose that I have to do for someone. I think I can do it. After that Commissions will be closed except for little things, like preposes and adopts, just because things like this happen. I tend to bite off more than I can chew.

I'm Sick...

On Saturday I was visiting my sister and my nieces and nephew, annnd my nephew was sick. My nephew really likes to hold my hand and stuff aaand now I'm sick. I REALLY don't want to work on commissions while I'm sick, it might just stress me out and it really won't help how I feel. So for now I'm just going to work on Pekoe or personal arts. I hope you all understand.
I'm drinking tea and resting in bed so I should, in theory, be okay by Friday I hope. Thank you guys for understanding.
Here's the commissions as I have the currently done:
Sigma - 75% Lining
Tolt - Sketched Sorta, figuring out poses and such.
YCH Plushie - Sketch stages, adding in all the plushies, Kadin is drawn.

All are going to be cameo characters, and I'm looking for both adults and children (just incase I need to fill some type of park scene or something of the sorts, not many children going to be in this one though, but still better to be safe than sorry >_>) and I'm looking for relatively un-flashy characters. I don't want to use the term 'normal' or 'simple'. Just 'unflashy' and not a demon or monster type.
Nowingsplz,plz,plz. If your characters have wings and you really want them to be in this and I can remove the wings, then I'm okay to go. (Ijustdon'thavepatienceforwingsxD)

XD But I'm gonna do as much as I can tonight and tomorrow dedicate some time to getting at least Sigma and Tolt's commissions done. After that I believe all there is left to do are the YCH things. o3o The plushie will come first, then the rave will come second.

It might not work properly, but pop in if you can. Working on the bronze artist stuff today. Might randomly end and restart the stream multiple times, I tried to lower my CPU usage so if it's a bit high I might keep trying to fix it, but I think I did help it along some. We'll see.

Posted 12 years agoTion is just a normal member of the southern reptile tribe, well he was the son of a beautiful female monitor lizard named Ewa. She raised him to be a brave and yet noble male monitor lizard in the tribe, as he grew up he met this gorgeous young female namedYaou by the time they were both of marrying age the village chief had requested for Tion's presence immediately, it turned out that Ven the godess had taken away the sun from they're species to cause everlasting darkness. Relzetsi told Tion this "I need you and your mate to go on a journey to regain our beloved sun, now go" Tion quickly told Yaou of what the chief told him, her response was "go tell your mother and i'll get the supplies for the journey to the godess's temple" she said as she began to gather her bow as well as his father's sword. Tion headed over to his mother's to tell her the news "Mother?" he asks as he looks at her "what is it?" she responds to him as she moves closer to him "i have been given a journey that Yaou and i have to take to regain the sun" he says as he gives her a hug goodbye right as she says "i understand, now go fulfill your destiny" as he heads back to his hut. "yaou is everything ready?" he asks as she finishesputting on her armor "yes it is" she says as he puts his armor on as well "how do i look Tion?" she asks as she shows him her armor which was a deep blue with black trimming "you look amazing darling" he says as he picks up his father's sword before picking up the pack that has all of the supplies in it "are you ready?" she asks as she opens the door for him Tion nods to her in response as he heads outside infront of her. Yaou leads the way after leaving the safety of the village, "we'll rest here for the tonight" she says as he sets the pack down and drinks some water from a jar. "how can you tell what time it is?" Tion asks as she sets up a tent for them "i learned it from a wolf" she says asshe lays down inside of the tent calling Tion in after he puts out the campfire "now the temple is a few days away so we'll need to wake early in order to gain so ground, get some sleep hun" she says as he nods in response and falls asleep. The next morning they wakes up and packs everythingand continued on they're journey, a few hours into they're trail walking they run into a group of rebel avian warriors "Tion get behind me" Yaoun yells to him as she raises her bow then aims it at the group then "Tion is that you dude?" an avian said as Tion stands up to see who it was "Twitch?" Tion asks as the young avian warrior nods in response "our chief sent us to help" Twitch says as Yaou lowers her bow "there's no need old friend" Tion says as they walk past the group and towards the temple. Two days have passed and they are now at the temple, both Tion and Yaou walk up the steps then towards Ven's chamber "GODESS VEN!". . . . "Give the sun back to the sky and our people." Tion yells as the godess turns and looks at the two monitor lizards "you have proven to me that your people deserve it, here take it and go back to your village" Ven says asthey make the journey back home.
