Me and Mochi are going to visit some family for a week, so updates will be slow for a while (thanks to everyone waiting on a commission, I'll have updates for you soon!) I'll be bringing my pc and tablet, but I'm not sure how much work I'll be able to do there.
Also as a general update for my Tumblr being taken down (as some of you have noticed) I emailed Tumblr staff about it, and I'm still waiting on their reply. I'll update you guys if anything changes, but if I can't get it restored I'll probably just make a new one, or hop on Twitter. Thanks to everybody who checked up on me after it got taken down, I promise I wasn't too bummed about it, but it did make me feel a bit better!

Good news: My back is slowly getting better! I'm still taking things slow, and I'm doing light stretches/exercise on my breaks to keep the pain at bay.

Better news: I switched up my desk so I can actually lay down while I work now, so now I can change between laying/sitting/standing position depending on where I put my monitor!
Hopefully that & the exercise will keep this from happening again ^^'

I really fucked up my back.
I have horrible drawing posture, & latley I've been pushing myself pretty hard & think I kiiiind of overdid it. >.>'
Hopefully it's nothing serious, but there's a lot of pain/swelling in one area that is starting to worry me.

I'll be back in a couple days with new art and commission updates (sorry I'm taking so long to update some of u guys! ;0;)

Huge thanks to everyone who waited for me to finish their art these last couple months!!!
Its been pretty stressful with my mom's cancer & our youngest cat running off, but I'm finally starting to feel like things are getting back to normal ^^

I'll be doing something new with slots this time, the first 4 commentators on the journal will get a slot instantly, and then 4 more slots will be given away to other commentors via raffle! (the journal will be open for 24 hours so everybody who wants to enter gets a chance)

So u don't have to be the fastest gun in the west anymore to get a commission from me!
I know a lot of people are at work/asleep when I open so hopefully this method is a little more fair to them.

My mom has surgery tomorrow so I'll be gone for a tiny bit to help her recover.

She's back!
We had a huge storm roll through yesterday & last night, the wind was howling and the rain was blowing in sideways... I don't know if I've ever been that stressed in my life. But this morning there was a lul in the rain and she was hiding in the backyard when we let the dog out!

I finally feel like I can breathe again (well not really because of the cough I got hanging up 50 lost cat posters in the rain) but OH MY GOD I'm so relieved!
I know cats do this a lot, and if it were either of our 2 other cats (7 & 12 years old) then I wouldn't have worried so much. But she's so young and inexperienced, I was really afraid she wouldn't be able to find her way home or worse, wandered on to the highway. All last night I just stared at the ceiling beating myself up for leaving her out. And then this morning, total catharsis.

Thanks so much to everyone who gave advice or offered support in that other journal. It really meant a lot ;v;
Art will resume tomorrow, we're going to visit my mates mom today. (also the new tablet pen is here too so streams should resume soon as well)

Okay I guess 2016 wasnt done with me yet...
My mates cat slipped out when I let the dog out and she disappeared the night before last. Im pretty freaked out because she's an indoor cat and hasnt been outside much her whole life. Shes only a year old and easily spooked, so we're really worried. :(

Additionally my replacement tablet pen is still not here thanks to a PayPal issue, and mail not being delivered today. Sorry to anyone waiting on a commission, drawing with the eraser is really slow because of how inaccurate it is. I need to ctrl z 2/3rds of the lines i draw. Its okay for sketches, but linework is a nightmare. It should be here tomorrow, thanks to everybody for being so patient.

Im gunna go look for my cat now :(

My tablet pen broke. Not the tablet itself, just the pen.
More specifically the nib end of the pen. The eraser still works great.
But even after changing the nibs several times the pressure is totally out of wack. It goes way up and then way down randomly.
SO I'll be drawing everything with the eraser until the replacement pen gets here! Lucky me.

Trying to undo the mental conditioning of twirling the pen in my hand to erase is the hardest part.
Manually changing the tool to the eraser every time reminds me of when I first started drawing with the mouse in Photoshop elements all those years ago.

Also fun fact: Replacement Intuos 5 pens are more expensive than I thought they would be. @p@

Wow I have been slow with art this month!
I've still got a few commissions to finish up and post in the next couple days,
but with Christmas and end of the month bills coming up I have to open new slots right now :P

So I'll be opening 5 slots tomorrow for anyone interested!
