Hey everyone. You may have noticed that I have not had much art posted lately. The reason you ask? My monitor (which I use in conjunction with my laptop) went out. It isn't that it is impossible, but I like watching something while I work. When I only have one screen, I end up only watching a show, and no art ever gets done. So, I ordered a new one. However, the monry no is der. So, I am opening commissions.

Sooooo, here is the break down. I need about $200. So, I will have slots open until that goal is reached. Payments via paypal please

One character in color with soft shading and an abstract bg, $5
Add another character, $5 each
add an illustrated bg, +$5
simple animated icons start at $5, a couple's icons (2 icons) is $7
Ref sheets (front and back, shaded, and a designed layout) $10

If you can't spare any money, I would appreciate you mentioning it in a journal or something. It is for art and love! =D You don't want me to have no spending money when I visit my beloved mate for the first time in a year, do you? *puppy eyes*

My boyfriend, had to go to the hospital just now. He is having some chest pain, among other things. It is pretty serious, or at least seems that way, for him to go to the hospital. I don't know exactly what it is, but, please send some positive energy and thoughts his way.

Lol, dunno if I knew anyone who lives in the area, but on Dec 15th I have an 11 hour layover, from about 9 am until 8 pm, so, I'll be hecka bored. XD So, yup, I'll be at the airport (ATL) Would be cool to do something while I'm in Atlanta. =D

Anyhow, I got a traffic ticket today for $145, because I pulled out in front of a car I didn't see in a part of town I had never been. I swear to God, if I were a cute girl, I would have just been told to be more careful and not have gotten a ticket at all. >_> So, yeah, my year so far has been pretty terrible, with this just being the latest thing. But it will get better, tight? 8D

As some of you know, it hailed pretty badly about a month ago, knocking out my cars back window and cracking my windshield. (broke the tail-lights and dimpled the car as well, I might add) So, basic insurance meant I had to pay to get it fixed. Guess what, I only fixed the essentials. (duh XD ) And now, this.

Last night some douchebags slashed my tires. I'll still try and do as many of these free sketches as I can, but this has me in a rather bad mood. Anyhow, if you have a few extra bucks, I am not above taking donations, and commissions are always open. I won't expect anything though. In the end, I'll get by. :3 Thanks for reading, those that do.

Taking requests all of today, Friday. They are just gong to be pencil sketches. You can suggest a light theme, but this is more for my practice, so I will decide in the end on what to draw. (though I won't draw your character doing questionable things without your permission) When drawing, I will randomly choose characters, so don't worry if the list is long (or short) To enter, just leave a comment. Please have a ref or a description of your character in the comment.

This will be every Friday for a while, I suppose, so don't worry if you don't get in the first time. I will do as many of them as I can all day Saturday. I'll also add that, if you like it, you can pay $7 for inks and flat color. So, good luck to however few or many enter. I'll be paying attention to interest to see if this is worth doing.

SO, birthday was yesterday. Mmm, no one really celebrated, save for my boyfriend (though he is in Brazil) and a couple friends wished me a happy one. I bought a cake, and ate most of it. D: Mmm, Jorge is sending me a stuffed animal and Gear is sending me a surprise gift. D: Anyhow, I am 22, so, yay? XD

Don't journal when you are angry. =D So, my car got messed up pretty bad. Hail completely knocked out the back window, made dimples over the entire body of my car, broke the tail lights, made a crack from top to bottom on my windshield, and guess what kind of insurance I have. Liability. So, I will be driving a very ugly car with a new back window for probably the next few years. =D Also will be feeling the burn from buying that new window outright. (damn antenna -inside- the glass >_> )

Anyhow, that is what was getting me down. And then also feeling like no one cared. (seriously no comments or anything on my FB) but I can't blame people for not seeing an update. *gives out free hugs* I am feeling better now. Sorry if anyone thought I was being mean.

No more free art, ever. Exceptions are and my boyfriend. They are the only ones that deserve it, that have been good friends to me. (not that I dislike anyone else, don't take it that way) Good luck everyone. /pissed

education programs, make your voice heard. The House is trying to eliminate funding for public broadcasting. Honestly, I am getting tired of these stunts from the far right. But, regardless of your politics, this would be a travesty. What is the point? PBS and NPR are important, and if you don't agree, I feel sorry for you. The worst thing is, that this stunt does not really hurt them as much as it does the local stations that run them. It also saves such a small amount of money, especially compared to tons of other things the government spends on, that to eliminate funding for it is ridiculous. Get involved if you care about the education of the American people.

Here is how it works. Sketches have a base price of $1, line-art $3, and full color (even shaded) starts at only $5. Abstract background included in color pics. (I'll charge $3-$5 more for a fully rendered background, as it is time consuming.) You pay me beforehand. After I finish your picture, you can tip me more if you like it or think it is fair.

I just want to say, thanks to my friends. One thing I'll say about them is that they are very honest. And I appreciate that. Thank you for not saying my drawings are good. For telling me that I need to improve. For believing that I can be better.

It is always hard to criticize one's self. So, I appreciate that others are honest with me. I've lied to myself for a long time. I've made excuses and ignored my problems. So, friends,to show my appreciation, I'll continue to try to get better. I'll not be so hard headed. I'll be less concerned with views, favs, and comments, and more with getting better.

I also want to thank those that do watch me and fave, and comment. I appreciate it so much. That you care enough to do any of those things, it means a lot. I'll try to get better for you guys too. To make sure that your watches aren't in vain. To hopefully post some things of quality eventually.

So, thank you everyone. I'm realizing now at the end of this that I haven't really complained almost at all. XD

When I was younger, I didn't really know what romantic love was. Ok, I say younger, but really, it was more like until a few months ago. I've hurt somebody because I didn't know the difference and I let it go on too long. For this, I am truly, truly sorry. I used to think that romantic love was just a form of friendship, and that friendship could become love with anyone. I now know how wrong this idea is.

I'd like to give you some advice. Don't rush into things. Don't make the same mistakes that I did. Not for your own sake, but because of the potential it has to hurt others. Love, it while can be the most beautiful thing in the world, can cause the most pain of any feeling. It is easy to abuse it, even unintentionally. We are born with love, and that love has a great power over other people. Just because we have it, doesn't mean we know how to use it. Keep it in check, because if it is a real love, it will still be there. I think I am rambling at this point. Just, be careful guys. Don't feel the need to pursue love or feel rushed into it. Real love will find even if you're not looking for it.

I am finally getting more hours at work! This is epic win for me guys. For one thing, it is super easy, if mundane. Also, the new work I am getting can be done from home. I am so excite, lulz.

Though, I feel I should address those that I promised free sketches to. Seeing as I'll have less free time, I'll try to finish most of the rest this weekend. If you haven't sent me a reference I will just choose a character from your gallery. Remember, you can suggest actions, poses, and clothes. You just need to do so before I start drawing your piece.

So, I am getting very tired at sucking so hard at art. I look at other artist's works and feel ashamed to even post my stuff. Therefore, I have decided to practice more. This whole month I am going to draw as many sketches as I can, trying out different poses and angles and the like. I'll actually try to do more than 5 a week, but that is my minimum.

Also, my mother say I has to move out by the 15th of next month because I have a boyfriend and 'that is wrong.' If she let me stay here then she would be 'condoning it.' >.> I'm not too upset about that really, I mean I am 21. But I kinda wanted to finish college before I moved out so I could have some money.
