So if a few of you have checked your favorites you've realized that something has gone iffy: SEVERAL SUBMISSIONS HAVE BEEN DELETED BY THE USER!

*DUH DUH DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!!!*

Most of those aren't mine, probibly. But I cleared out a few of my images, specifically my Warhammer 40k/MLP crossover images, my older images, and most of my older PCA Writing involving Team Roadbuster. Now, I know what you might be thinking:

Fans: Wait, why did you delete the stuff you loved the most?

Me: Because I realized how fucked up some of the canon with my older writing was and how it conflicts with the current characterization of my characters were.

Does this mean I'm dropping team RB forever? No. I'm just rebooting their canon to give you guys a better shot with my skills and to practice!
The main changes are going to be as such:

*Dante and Ruka are no longer a couple. *Insert RIOTING*
-Wait, why would I be taking my iconic couple apart when I wrote STORIES about them? Because they have better synergistic relationships with two other characters, Ruka and  tulf12's Arthur being one of them.

*Tonio, Cujo, and Carin are gone from the team. They've been retconned out. Gone. I'll be filling their places with new characters, except for the spot already taken by  tulf12's Melanie Altiac

*Their team's origin will be significantly different, and I'll write it soon.

I just got back from the midnight release of this thing. Currently unwinding from it, but I'm gonna break this down as spoiler free as possible.

So you guys have probably heard me gush about this movie everywhere, from AIM to Skype to whatever the fuck. Either way, you've heard me gush at some point or the other since December of last year when I first saw the trailer. I was hyped then, and I was hyped now.

But did Pacific Rim live up to that Hype?

God, just before I went in to see it today, I was worried that it was going to be 90% Talking and 10% Robots, but it was more like 60/40. Still, the movie was paced so well and while it did get exposition heavy, and some mechs didn't get as much showtime as they should have, but FUCK it was awesome.

Goddamn, you guys should go fucking see this movie if you like Super Robots at all.

...I didn't see it through, only because of how hard I was laughing that I'd fear I'd die of laughter.

I've never laughed so damn hard.

Laptop Screen's busted, and my entire town is without power (at my uncle's right now).

As cheesy as that sounds, it's a 100% true. Today is the day I begin my time at Rider University. I'm in college, motherf*ckers.

I won't say I'm not nervous, because I really am, but I think I can handle this.

Car's become unsafe to drive, the leftside front wheel keeps making this noise and I think it's the Axel or the break motor. And with college coming up soon, this is going to be a pain, a big fucking PAIN to deal with.

I don't have the money to pay for college and fix this!

Anyone who's talked to me over AIM/Skype/mIRC/ect knows that I am shamelessly a huge fan of the card Game, Magic the Gathering. I can't help it, it's such a fun game. I love how fun the game is, I love the art on alot of the cards (ah Skyknight Legionnaire, how pretty your art is), and I love the flavor. So today, I figured I'd discuss one of my favorite sets from Magic: the Shards of Alara block.


Alara itself is a giant plane of existence that, long ago in an event known as The Sundering, was split into a total of five mini planes. Now those of you who play Magic know that there are five colors of magic (or mana, whichever you like). Interestingly, rather than having Each shard represent one of the five colors, Wizards of the Coast did something different and had each shard defined by THREE colors of Mana. Each shard had three colors, but completely lacked the other two. This mana deficiency in each Shard actually affected how life and society were formed, and all of them were Vastly different. I'll discuss them, starting with Bant:

BANT
Bant, the shard governed by Green, White, and Blue Mana. It's what would happen if you suddenly found Camelot in the savannah. Arthurian style knights, a perfect caste system of society, and little to no evil. The lack of Red and Black mana meant there was no Chaos, no evil ambition, so it was actually kind of a cool place to live. And somehow Bant's evolutionary system managed to give us the Leotau, which are lions WITH FUCKING HOOVES HOW DOES THAT WORK!? *ahem* Anyway. On Bant, Combat has become ritualized, and warfare is usually the army riding along with their champion and giving them Sigils as they go to combat the other army's champion. War pretty much became a gentleman's brawl for satisfaction. Hell, the armor of Bant soldiers and knights left their back unarmored, because who would be dishonorable enough to attack a champion with their back turned?

This Champion style of fighting is emphasized by the Exalted mechanic, which was Bant's Keyword for the set. Exalted had it so that whenever a creature attacked alone, it got +1/+1 power and toughness and additional effects until end of turn for each creature with exalted. Pretty cool, eh? My friend Vincent runs a mono white deck (singular color) that has Creatures with Exalted and boy is it powerful. Anyway, back to the Shard.

Bant was also the only shard to have Angels, who were pretty much the protectors and things that the Bantians worshiped. Like the three colors it had, Bant had Three races (excluding the angles for the moment): the Rhox, Rhino people, the Aven, bird people, and Humens. Mana wise, each of these races were colored to fit Bant when they had been in previous sets (Rhoxes were usually Green or White, the Aven blue or white, and Humans fit all three.)

The lack of red and black mana, as I mentioned before, also has shaped how magic works on Bant. You won't be seeing the killspells of Red Mana, and certainly not the necromantic/demonic magics of Black Mana. It's a world where protection magic is a matter of course, and the worst punishment is temporary banishment.

My personal opinion of Bant is this: while it is probably a wonderful place to live, the restrictingly rigid caste system is far too gripping for my liking. The lack of red mana also means the lack of freedom, which is what Red is all about. In my Next journal, however, I'll be talking about my personal favorite shard: Naya, the home of the Behemoths, the land of the titans, MAYAN CIVILIZATION WITH KAIJU!

Yeah, I've been enjoying the shit out of this game, two bosses down, two to go, plus a whole shitload of sidequests.

also, I don't get why people were complaining so much about the Goron Race after beating Goht. It was easy! Hell, I've only beaten the second dungeon and I already have the strongest sword.

Why?
Because two days ago, en route to portfolio night at my vocational school, a bug flies right into my eye, I freak for a split second as I try to get it out of my eye (FYI, I drive now). Suddely, I hear what sounds like a loud CRACK, and I look up, about to crash into a road sign. I swerved left and narrowly missed it, thankfully, but I found out I beaned a mailbox and completely lost the right side mirror.

Then when I get into the school the next day, I'm teased about said incident by my Autoshop teacher (Who's a really cool guy, but he is a bit of a jerk sometimes).

Oh, but the best part is that I found out my Great Grandmother just died that morning. Last time we went to see her, I fell asleep in the car and mom let me sleep (I was not driving this time). I missed going to see her and I didn't even get to say good-bye or anything.

Now I never will...

Since everyone's making a journal about it: I might as well throw my 2 cents in.

I don't blame everyone who remained in that little community for so long to finally pull out after last night's fiasco on the journal. Still, it was kinda good to see members of the old guard band together with the remainder and go: THIS IS STUPID.

Now what does this mean about my characters? Am I pulling out? Am I leaving the PCA?

Yes and No.

Team RoadBuster has been with me since I joined 4 years ago, and I don't plan on just forgetting about them. I'll keep on writing stories and draw art set in the PCA verse; hell, I'll still Roleplay in the setting. I'm not gonna follow plots that are suggested that are obviously stupid: I'll make my own plots!

Speaking of: I'm thinking of working on a re-write of the Vendetta storyline.

Anyway: you folks can pull out all you wish. I'll stay here for now, tell any newcomers about the glory days of the PCA. I won't stand for bullshit here, but I certainly won't let it ruin any fun I had. The old IRC is still open for those who want to check shit out. I just decided to write a up a list of things one of my characters has done that they've regretted later on. Take note, these things did happen in the universe they existed in.


(Some of) Things Ruka has done that she later regretted
1. Painting WIDE LOAD onto her ass, one word on each cheek, for a week.
2. Taking a bet that she could eat a whole chocolate cake in one sitting.
3. Staying up for 24 hours straight to do a speed run of every Metroid game made.
4. Trying to beat her sister in a game of 20 questions.
5. Trying to sing Phantom of the Opera with Dante (Note: She's much better at singing R&B, Blues, and Jazz)
6. Letting Paola hug her. (Ruka: Can't... breathe!)
7. Out-Sass her mom.
8. Using a headbutt as the solution to all her problems.
9. Reading trashy romance novels.
10. Breaking a number of practice Mannequins.
11. Giving Arthur "The Talk."
