That my shading sucks. I've been trying different techniques.. it's just so confusing for me for some reason and it bothers me so much. >_<

I'm not gonna give up though! I will keep trying. Same with my anatomy and perspective. It kills me inside. But I guess that's why you just gotta keep at it and always strive to improve..

So I'm new to this whole Patreon thing. But I know it helps support fellow artists and I am in need of support so it's worth a shot I guess!
Plus, I'm trying to make a semi-living off this whole art thing and have been getting lots of ideas for future personal drawings of mine.
It would help pay for my bills in my apartment and food while my boyfriend works. This would help for me to focus on personal art, plus I think I have some neat rewards some might be interested in. Every little bit helps and lets me keep trying new things to improve my art.

So, I have the one commission left that I am working on, for  salmy which is 75% done.

After that, I am wanting to open commissions again for money to help me and my boyfriend live.
..And to get my art back out there.

Just curious, would any of you be interested?

I'm actually working on 2 commissions I have that I took awhile back.. (I know, very long >_<) I'm almost done with one of them. Then to work on the next and hopefully get back into a routine.

So, I am wanting to go back to doing commissions soon (and yes I am going to finish the ones I already have first)..

But... I was wondering what you guys actually like about my art? Just wondering.

So my boyfriend and I are on our way to rent a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo for a year and we were looking over our contract. We came into a little issue we need clarified.. About the maintenance and repair of appliances: stove, fridge etc.. It says the landlord and us tenants are responsible from what I can see for anything over $75 in repair? We are just confused and if any of you have experience in this kind of thing we could use the advice. We don't want to move in and then have the fridge stop working with it not being our fault then having to pay for it. :( is this what that means?

Just so you all know, I'm not dead.. and I've finally decided I'm going to start making a comeback.
I need to get back into art, mainly for me and my sanity and for all you guys who enjoy my art. But mainly so I don't lose my talent and all motivation forever. I know I have two commissions I haven't finished yet, that's my first goal.
Then I plan on opening up some more to get back into things as well as drawing my own ideas.

If you guys have any suggestions for me to sketch randomly to get me back into drawing, I'm open to them. :)

I really want to get back into this community.

On another note, I finally have a paid internship job as a graphic designer, not a lot of money but it's the experience

If anyone has any insight on an issue I'm currently having, it'd be great to hear from you..

I have a question.. well more like I would like some opinions on my current situation.

My fiance and I currently have a 2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo with 10k miles on it. We used to lease a 2013 Honda Accord, but last year we decided we wanted a new and different car without the Accord's lease being done. So we tacked on negative equity (about $11,000.. yes it was a stupid decision but now we are stuck with it) So the total of the Veloster came out ot be 36k (value of the car is like 24k when we bought it brand new). Right now we owe 28k left on it. We pay $485 a month for a 6 year lease with $3,000 down.

Well, here is the thing. My fiance wants to try and trade in the Veloster to a dealership to get a lease for 3 years. Where they'd tack on the negative equity ontop of the payment for the lease and make it around the same we are currently paying a month ($485). Let's say the lease itself is $200 a month, well then they'd add the negative equity to that so we'd pay it off by 3 years (something like that). But at the end of the lease we'd have no car and would have to buy another one all over again. After 3 years we'd have paid about 17k, then if we were to get a new car around 16k it'd add up to about 36k (inlcuding our 3,000 down when we bought the Veloster) altogether for a (not as nice a car as the Veloster) in the end.

I say we keep the Veloster, and after 3 years of paying $485 a month there will be only 11k left and then we'd have it paid off in 2 years and own the car with no more payments.

He says he wants to get out of debt as soon as possible. But if we lease a car and then buy another one we'd still be making payments and will be in debt.

Any advice? I just want other peoples' unbiased opinions. I appreciate it greatly.

To the two who commissioned me I am sorry for the delay. I was in the hospital twice these past two weeks with a really bad UTI that might have spread to my kidneys causing a bad infection. I've been really tired lately and am currently on antibiotics and pain killers for it hoping it'll clear soon. :( I'm tired of being sick.

Once again I'm sorry, but I will get to working on them as soon as I start feeling better!

So just thought I'd let ya guys know I was recently hired at GameStop in October of last year. It was just gonna be a seasonal position but they made me permanent. I'm also back in college working towards my AA degree, only these two classes left! Then I'm going to Florida Atlantic University for animation. My creative side is very much lacking to say the least.. so I'm just not sure what to even say about my art as of now. Hoping something will click in my brain soon. But at least I'm still doing something! I miss all you guys.. and I do miss posting art. :(

Oh and on my health side, I've been running a low-grade fever for the past 3 months now at about 99.7. Been to the doctors several times, nothing obvious so I guess I'm probably going to be getting more elaborate tests to see if there is something going on.. I just hope it's nothing serious. :/

Okay... so I've finally finished the last commission that was due like 2 weeks ago. And I've been contemplating on opening up for commissions again. BUT, this time I will have a new method.. where I accept half the money for the commission and then the other half when I am finished. I would probably start taking a couple sketches or line-art to begin with, to get back into the groove of things.

But the main thing is.. who would possibly be interested in commissioning me? I understand I've been slow for the past year and a half, but I feel like I can take this commission business with a whole new perspective in mind, and not let them build up to where I procrastinate. I've been more driven lately, especially since I'm back in school (one class at the moment so I'm not too busy), and I also need the monies.

Anyways, please let me know, anyone.. who would be interested, and what kind of commissions would you want? :)

THEN I will gladly start taking them again. I apologize!

I'm going to be 23 in a little more than a month, and I feel I haven't accomplished much in my life since high school.
My art has been lacking so fucking much, I feel I have been stagnant since I was 20. Yet, I don't know what to do. I don't know HOW
to get my motivation back. I tell people I'm going to be an animator, how? Eh? I gotta work towards it. It's not easy, that's for sure.
I mean jesus, I am 22 years old, I'm not 40 and yet, I feel like I've lost all hope and I'll never amount to anything in my life. I want to be successful like my idols, Jamie Hewlett and Jhonen Vasquez. I'm sure they didn't get where they are by sleeping all day and sitting on
their ass doing nothing.

It's just HARD to get UP and DO things. But WHY is it like that? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

I want my life to matter at least a little bit...

I need to start drawing again.

I don't want to stop drawing, I don't.

My motivational issues have really gotten worse and worse over the past year or two.
I am completely off of Adderall, the stimulant that made me want to actually do things during the day, for 2 weeks now.
I haven't come to the conclusion that this is entirely the best possible outcome I can have nowadays.
My current Psychiatrist has let go of me, because she doesn't want to play, 'these games' with me anymore.
I have declared by my mom and I that that psychiatrist is a total bitch. I don't think it's just me.
I've worked at my mother's church kitchen for two weeks during the summer, it was a blast, I got paid.. but now it's over, besides the last two weeks of August.. I get to help scrub and clean the kitchen on my knees for monies.

My boyfriend and I are still together, doing great. He's gotten a full-time job, while I'm STILL looking for one. He hasn't been angry yet about me not finding stable job yet -- I thank this every day. Our 5 year anniversary is coming this August, 24th. I love him so much, and he makes me happier and happier every minute spent with him.

I fear nothing of our relationship, but I fear myself being who I want to be. I want to be an animator, nothing has come of it yet.
It upsets me every single day, but ...everyday when I awake, I think of how I feel. I feel down, I feel unaccomplished. I want to get up and change myself, but it's just, I don't know how. And my boyfriend gets fed up with how I deal with things. He tells me constantly how much potential I have in life, and how I don't execute this potentiality.

I'm always thinking about how DIFFERENT I am from others, but I can't seem to show this. :l
