Open to suggestions
Posted 13 years agoSo I am having fun with the little swimsuit pinups lately, and there are comics and things to work on, but comics take a degree of concentration and focus that's difficult to maintain while also managing a full time job and family.
So, I'm trying to do quick little fun things in the meantime, hence the pinups.
However, its been a while since I've done something macro/micro related. So looking for ideas, any ideas on what would make a fun macro or micro picture?
Just FYI this isn't a 'draw my character' request thing, I may or may not use other people's characters depending on how the idea suits it, I also may or may not use all ideas as well, just looking to see what ideas people have 'cause I'd like to draw something macro or micro, but am currently lacking a good idea of my own for that particular genre.

There's gonna be a few featuring Emily the mouse, she still seems to be a popular one.

Allergies are kicking in, taking allergy pills, which makes me sleepy... Picked up a box of cookies yesterday to snack on at work, a BIG box with 4 tubes of cookies in it.
Well, I was feeling tired today 'cause of the pills, I thought 'well, maybe some sugar will help...'
I only meant to have a couple...
I wound up eating almost an entire one of the tubes... In 5 minutes...
Damn chocolate chips. Why must you taste so good? XP

Maul+TV=Destruction

We've had an old tv in front of the house that needed to be disposed of, but there's really no proper disposal place around here, and I really do support recycling.
So I simplified the solution. We have a nice big15 or 20 pound Maul in our shed.
For those who don't know a maul is basically a big sledgehammer type tool with a sledge head on one side and an axe on the other.
Well this big old tv's just been taking up space so my solution?
Break it into little tiny pieces and dispose of them. XD
Don't worry though, like I said, I support recycling, so I made sure to break all the plastic into little pieces and sorted them out into the plastic recycling. The raytube, well, that'll have to wait until we can find an actual proper disposal site. :P

Posted 14 years agoWe didn't have her too long, but we had to put down our veiled chameleon Chamille today.
She didn't survive her first clutch.
She had created a suitable nest and was preparing to lay her eggs, but never did. Today she was sick, her color showed things had gone bad, she was suffering internal organ failure, so we did the humane thing and put her to sleep.
I wish I didn't have to work right now. XP

Posted 14 years agoLets start by saying I'm not a religious person. I definitely don't go around preaching to people and trying to save their souls. But I do believe. I suppose you could say I'm Christian, in just the most generic of terms. That being that I do have faith in a creator, and something bigger.
That said I honestly respect people of true faith. They're a rare breed, people who actually follow their beliefs, not because they're told to, not because they want to be 'in' or one of those busybodies in everyone elses business. Someone who truly believes because they want to and lives their life that way.
True believers are such nice people. I just spoke with such a woman and it left me with a warm feeling that reminded me how kind some people can be. I love that feeling when something genuinely meaningful happens, or when you meet a truly 'good' person. It's like instantly being recharged, like part of their positivity transfers to you.
I hope to be like that for others, in some way or another, whether it's just by providing a cute distraction from time to time, or actually helping a friend, etc. it is much nicer, to just be nice. :/

This is the second or third time this week I've passed a ramp truck on the way to work.
It's just too much of a coincidence, I know they're just begging for me to line up my truck, kick it into fifth gear and floor it up that f***er!
XD I mean come on, you can't tempt a video game player with that kind of setup! Open highway, downhill slope, ramp truck, what do you think's gonna happen?

They had a baked potatoe bar at work today with freaking gigantic potatoes. Seriously I mean I don't think I've ever seen potatoes this big before in my life. O.O Anyway if you could only see my desk right now, not an inch is wasted.
As I dole out financial support and advice I have my gigantic fully loaded baked potatoe, now partially eaten as I peck at it between calls. My big mug of tea, nearly depleeted and in need of a refill. My mp3 player and headphones, my backpack, drawings and art supplies, and a couple sheets of paper actually used for work related stuff. XD
Oh yeah, and half a bag of Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies.
Trust me, I'm a serious professional. :P

Just felt like putting up something different. Don't get used to it.
I don't make allot of journals 'cause well, I feel my real life is pretty boring.
Not too much to share, but I definitely wanted to get a few things out.
First off, check out
KyokiNoOkami He's been coloring quite a few of my pictures lately due to a bout of boredom. So I recommend taking a look, and maybe if you ask nicely and the boredom continues, you could possibly convince him to color a drawing of yours that needs finishing... Or at least just take a look and leave a comment especially since I know allot of people (IRL and online) always say to me, man, your pictures would really look great in color. XD
Well, I'm mostly a linework guy unless it's something I REALLY want to see in color. Otherwise keep an eye on KyokiNoOkami or

Posted 14 years agoI am now officially open for commissions, as I am currently just starting out (with commissions) I would like to keep things basic.
I'm going with fairly standard pricing.
$5 for basic sketches (unrefined images most likely with light inking for visibility)
$10 for Lineart (Character drawings 1 or 2 characters, or a basic scene)
These are clean images without coloring something like these:

Simple coloring is not a problem, though it does add a bit more time, unless it's flat basic colors, something like this:

I am also open to doing short comics. 1 to 3 pages. Starting at $20 prices increase from there depending on number of pages and what is involved.
What I will draw:
Anything rated G through R. Just a basic guideline though I don't draw nudity much, tasteful nudity is no problem. I don't however want to draw orgies, etc. I don't mind doing fetish related work, Macro, Micro, Inflation, etc. as long as it follows the same guides nothing gratuitous or overly violent/gory.
Payment is accepted via Paypal. As I have learned from other artists, the best way to do this is to choose Send Money, Personal, and send either as a gift or money owed. That way it avoids the fees of a normal purchase payment.
Of course before any payment is sent, send me a note containing what you are looking for. Include the basics every artist wants when doing a character drawing, name, description, referrences, pictures preferable, though written descriptions work, as long as they're detailed but not overly complicated. Once the note is received and I have a clear idea what you're looking for I'll let you know whether or not the commission is accepted as well as quote a price. Don't send any payment until commission is accepted and a suitable price has been agreed upon.

Posted 14 years agoI am seriously starting to consider doing commissions. However it is something I've never done before, drawings for money, etc.
First off, I have to ask, would anyone actually be interested? As can be seen in my gallery I do mostly character drawings single or multiple characters in a pose or situation, as well as short comics, as well as Macro/Micro art.
Second, since I have never done this before, if there is anyone who has experience with commissions, what is your preferred method?
What do people think is reasonable pricing?
If I do this I'd start fairly basic I think, going with the strong point, line-art character drawings etc.
Any help would be appreciated as this is new territory for me, but I am seriously considering it at the moment.

Posted 15 years agoSo, finally got a FA profile... don't know what I'm gonna do with it, probably just post some old finished works for now, but we'll see. Enjoy some writing. :P
