Posted 8 years agoSince getting home I slugged myself upstairs and sat in my bed for a few hours. Since then I have been looking at tweets, pictures, everything. The con itself felt so unreal, like... It was so.. So lively, I was always moving, talking, having fun. It was unlike any con I have attended before.
To start it off, I got into Cambridge around 4pm on Thursday night to meet up with Flea, Basilbun, Kohi, Oshi, and Squidslime. The room sharing experience was very very new to me so I was kind of nervous, but I was confident knowing that it is a nice cheap alternative to getting a room by yourself. The first night was actually full of people! At the nightly dance and around the con! I spent most of the night dancing!
On Friday, I was focused on doing my best in the dance pre-lims. Besides that, Friday almost felt like Saturday because I was so busy! Got to hang with Krank, Spitfire, Shayde through-out random moments of the day, which was great! I got to finally meet Fleecerot which was sooooo fucking rad, literally one of my idols. I went through the dance pre-lims and ended up making it to finals, which I was surprised with! Afterwards I spent time wandering and seeing many, I eventually ended up a little tipsy and was dancing with Sheppy Momma during the nightly dance in my kigu which was dooooope and fun! Afterwards I ended up in in a room with Sheppy Momma, Ino89777, Draconicarcher, and Logarth, while I played Exploding Kittens with most of these goofballs.
Then the fire alarm pull happened at 2AM. So that happened.
Saturday was nice, in the morning I went on a coffee run with Basil, Flea, and one of our goat friends, I forgot his name! Afterward I hustled back to the con and set-up for my first ever panel, which was about beginner fursuit making. It was 15 minutes near the beginning to my panel and the room was empty, I felt crushed, then one of the staff comes in and tells me there's a line at the door, I said, COME ON IN. The room was filled. At least 30 people showed up, which was AMAZING. The panel was a success, I am definitely going to be coming back next year with a new panel! It was a busy busy day after that, before i knew it I was getting ready for the dance finals. The dance finals was amazing, and was my second dance comp ever! I had a blast preforming against well known dancing furs, as well as dancing next to Dalmy, because he was the reason I inspired to start competitive dancing in the first place! The night was full of social interactions and good fun! I ended up not sleeping till 3AM, so there's that!
I said the dance comp was going to be the last time I wore my suit during the con, but then Smellystrobes, Owen, and Mosfet beat me up because I was out of suit and stole my slippers and hat! So I threw on my suit and Ran up to fursuit recess for one last event before I had to pack up and go.
This con gave me an amazing idea of how well everyone is starting to know me, and how I have inspired others whether it be with dancing or making suits. Still starting out with the fandom it means a whole lot to me personally!

Posted 9 years ago Hey yall, if anyone here follows me on twitter you're well aware that I have been very ill for the past two weeks. Since I am like this, working on suits has been a major struggle for me, I am using all my physical energy to finish up current suits before Halloween, so I am doing the best I can while not killing myself over it. I am being told I should probably go to a doctor but I honestly have no funds to pay for another heaping medical bill just to find out I have a horrible cold or something.
With that I am just letting you all know I am working on a fullsuit and a head commission now, I will be starting on Tempa weeks after these suits are finished, since I really need a mental break. I might not be taking commissions for a while just so I can focus on saving up money to move back home and such.
So anyways, that's where I'm at. Yeah. I'm always on Twitter so follow me there for daily posts. Ciao.Might sell some shit soon?

As of late I have gotten a new job to help save up money for me and the boyfrand to get an apartment, and to pay for supplies on the side. Along with this I may be getting my old job back, just working it x2 days out of the week, just because I miss my old job real bad..!
So as it goes for fursuits, I want to be honest about it, but I have been slow as molasses on finishing up these commissions as of late.. It's making me think that maybe I should just stick to premades in the furture if it's going to take me this long to work.. But hey, We'll see, Everyday no matter how small the work-load, I am getting work done on them. I have one head commission, and two fullbody commissions I will be finishing up hopefully soon as my work schedule allows it.
I am lead to believe most of the work is being halted due to the fact that I really have no space to currently work in. I am working downstairs in my boyfrands, grandmothers dining room, which wouldn't be SO BAD if it were a sizable place, which it is not. It's a table in the middle of a room surrounded by tables full of Christmas decorations.. So I really have no place to put anything without having to fumble around to get supplies to sit neatly near my work table.
I assumed this wouldn't be a huge problem in the beginning, but it really is a thorn in my side now that I've spent a good amount of time working in there.. Hopefully I can work something out and get a bigger space to work in, but for now, I gotta play the cards I'm delt.
Aside from the CA living, I am trying my best to plan out the rest of my year travel wise, and I am honestly considering attending Furpoc this year, and maybe even vend if I can, I'm not sure if I can sign up of if slots are filled yet, but by the time you read this i'll know, so hold on with those comments!
That's all I really have for now honestly.. Uh yeah.. I update more on Twitter so yeah follow me there (@Madamekatacomb) and same with Facebook.

I have my own small percentage of money, but not enough to blow on cons. So instead of going to cons for a bit, I will be focusing more on working on fursuits and commissions, and also my new Patreon!

Posted 9 years agoI arrived at the con a day early to set-up for the dealers hall , upon arriving and coming down for set-up, we had to work out some seating arrangements that suited everyone the best, upon arriving to the hall I met 
, 
, 
, and his assistant! After meeting them I didn't know they would be the ones i'd be bonding with and making a lovely friendship with over the course of the con! While I was at the con I also had the privilege of sitting next to 
which was pretty neat!
Next to the fact that I met some AMAZING and supporting artist throughout the whole con, I also got to meet some of my idols since I was a lil furry fuzzle butt, which was great! Including, but not limited to:

, 
, 
and more!
this con was the first con I ever vended at, and also my first dance comp!
I was able to break even for the dealers/artist table, which was excellent! The dance comp was such an amazing experience as well, my dance routine was only planned for 3 minutes, but the DJ's were unaware of the original time stamp! But that's totally okay, I did my best to keep the flow going and I guess it paid off with me receiving the 2nd place title of the dance comp! I want to thank the lovely crowd support, the support of my fellow dancer, and our lovely and enthusiastic judges for being so supportive to me, even after the comp! It was such an amazing experience. Even when halfway through my dance I started losing my breath a ton, but with the support of cheering and clapping, I stuck it out till the end..!!
With my first con vending and dancing I didn't expect to have such a wonderful experience as I did! For a first year con it went VERY WELL! I cannot wait for next year, I plan on being part of the staff and/or hosting a panel!
A huge thank you to the head of the con, 
for not collapsing and dying during the con, and for holding up and supporting the con. As a fellow friend and just a wonderfully chill person in general, you fuckin' rock, man! I CANNOT wait for next year!

Posted 9 years agoI'm going to be moving back to SoCal next month!!
Once I move back I will be having my own studio space inside the house that I will be living in, which is more than I was hoping for! Once I move back I want to focus more on making fursuits in the time that I have, and also art of course!
So once I get settled in and have enough content on the back burner, I think I might try out Patreon!
If I get a Pateron I plan on doing mostly fursuit stuff, i'll post wip's, guides, tips, and even tutorials!

Posted 9 years agoI currently have a commission on queue that the commissioner would love to have airbrushed by me. They know I do not have an airbrush and they are fine with me painting it lightly with watered down acrylic instead.
But I'd just like to know... What's a good type of airbrush for something like plastic fibers? I would say I want it cheap as well but that would probably result in less than decent results!

Posted 10 years agoI am very use to hand-sewing mostly all of my fursuit parts, but since my sewing machine will be coming I will be sewing-up some fleece parts and handpaws for sale. Until then I am still taking commissions on fursuit parts. Tails, feetpaws, armsleeves/paws, digigrade, I am pausing on heads for now until I finish my personal head because I want to have at least two head examples to show before I take commissions, it just makes it more professional.
Along with physical commissions I am still open for my current YCH pictures that are posted up, as well as ANY digital art. Let me say that again, ANY DIGITAL ART. Armsleeves are not listed but my starting price for armsleeves will start at $100, since I hand-sew mostly all of it and it takes me some time, higher price for rush orders as well. Posted 10 years agoGoodbye Framingham, you were my birthplace, and even though I am still young I feel as though I need to take on the world and blossom as I am. I will be coming back real soon, so please, do not cry for me, I am still here, I will never be truly gone.
My whole family is happy yet saddened by my choice, but I will be needing to visit them again real soon.
My real family, and my fur family back at home, I will miss you all very dearly, but like I said, I am still here, I will be much happier living in my new residence, but I will NEVER forget where I started. I will be coming back most likely late November with my mate and back again in late January of next year to attend ANE to see all my pals again. Even though I am not even gone yet I already miss Massachusetts.
My new residence will be with my mate in a small town next to San Diego in SoCal, so I'm hoping to make many new friends while I am out there as well.

Posted 10 years agoIf you have bought from me you will know that I tend to have shipping delays on my packages as of late.. I do not have mode of legal transportation on most days so I cannot ship out packages on my own for now, I have my parentals do it for me, and they don't really understand the whole "They kind of need their product ASAP" deal. Once I move I will be able to ship out orders on time and with no hassle. For now I am hustling around the house, cleaning and packing up my stuff to move. Again sorry for the unprofessional delays and absence, I will be more frequently around soon enough!

Posted 10 years agoSo I tend to work at a weekend job during the autumn season here at home, and my boss for that ob wants me to come in and work more hours than I had been in recent years because she REALLY needs help. This is such a good opportunity for me, since she pays me a shit-ton more than my retail job does. I kind of wish I was staying until the end of October just so I could help her out until the end of the apple picking season, but since I am leaving at the end of this month, I will be helping her out as much as I can until I leave..

Posted 10 years ago[center]Alright. So it has come to my attention that I need to be saving my own money now, since my new job doesn't pay me weekly, keeping track of money is pretty difficult. I am currently working on a refurb partial set that will be sold for cheap, since it's usable but the quality isn't the best I've made, but the set can definitely be used and I have no use for em. But anyways, along with my items I am currently making I am also open for commissions along with my marked-down YCH digital pictures that I can make. I would appreciate people sharing around that I need help, I need to leave my home before the end of the year, since my boyfriend in California actually needs help. His new job pays well and has us pretty set for money, but I really want to pay for some of the moving costs, since he's the one that paid for me to visit in the first place..
So with that, I was trying to get enough cash together to move in late October, but we'll see what happens.
