An update on what's been going on IRL and Patreon.
General | Posted 7 years agoI wasn't sure of how to start this journal but a few weeks ago some stuff happened IRL in my family and my parents won't longer be able to support me in some of my college expenses.
I still have a year left before I graduate and my current class schedule is very tied up and at different times of day, I also don't have many job options at the moment as most of them expect you to be available at all times, I won't be able to get a stable full time job until I graduate or at least not until this year's end, I've saved some money for these past years for in case of emergencies but I don't think it's going to be enough to cover this year let alone the next one.
So I've been going around for the last month wondering if I should make a Patreon or not, making a patreon was something I had not in mind for any time soon but after what happened in my family it seems to be the best option I have at the moment, I could also raise the price of my commissions but that's something I don't want to do, I feel 20 dollars is more than enough for my pics.
I had some tier ideas and rewards in mind:
5 Dollars tier:
-See sketches of upcoming art pieces both select and non select
-Be able to see select art pieces 1 month prior to release.
-50% discount on select commissions slots ( I'm planning to make both commission slots for both normal commissioners and patreon members).
-Instant access to an art pack with sketches, unfinished pics and a few finished pics I never posted from 2014-17 ( +50 sketches/pics last time I counted).
3 Dollars tier:
-Be able to see select art pieces 1 week prior to release.
-30% discount on select commissions slots.
-Instant access to the art pack.
This would also be a good opportunity to better organize my upload rates since I'm very prone to uploading multiple pics in a week and then nothing at all for a couple of months which is something I'm very prone of.
I want the patreon to be cheap and accessible, I know I've already asked a lot from you for the past years, thanks to the commissions I've made for you I've been able to pay off my college re inscriptions as well as some of the expenses from my school projects, I'm really sorry if I disappoint any of you with these news, this was not something I originally had on mind and I'm running out of time, I'm only planning to keep this Patreon open until I get the chance to get a stable job sometime next year, I don't want to rely on patreon to make a living after I graduate.
Sorry if there are some grammar mistakes here and there, my english still needs some polishing and again sorry for these news, if you could support me it'd really mean a lot.

What do you guys think of Ko-fi?
General | Posted 8 years agoIn case you don’t know what Ko-fi is it’s a site where you can donate money to people you like.
Like the site says “Ko-fi helps creators receive support from people who love their content.”, “The Friendly Way to Get Tips from Fans of Your Content.” I’ve seen other artists use this site but i wanted to first know you guys opinion.
People have suggested me to make a Patreon before but i don’t really have the time to make some kind of exclusive awards or anything like that plus i don’t really like to privatize my stuff and put it behind a membership-like thing.
I’m afraid i might be sounding money hungry or anything like that or like a sellout but i need the money to pay off college and the projects i work on there, of the money i make on commissions about 90% of it goes to either college or family issues and i don’t always have the time to work on commissions, specially nowadays.

For now i’ll be working on the pending commissions and uploading some more stuff i made over the months, thanks for reading.

General | Posted 8 years agoYou probably heard of the earthquake over at Mexico city earlier today, some people messaged me asking if I was alright and yes I am, I live in Tijuana which is far from where the earthquake took place.
It's really terrible what happened over at Mexico city, specially because it took place in the very same date as the earthquake from 1986, an earthquake that destroyed a big portion of the city and killed probably over 10000 people, this isn't going to be a day people forget.
Also thanks guys for worrying about me, it means a lot.

Alright i already had my week of freedom, it's time to get back in business!
After so many delays ( I should have done this a month ago) I'm opening 10 Commission slots and if everything goes alright i'll open another additional 5!
I'm afraid there is no discounts this time and i increased the prices a little as well, a dollar went from being worth 22 pesos ( Mexican pesos) to 17 which quite sucks ( for me), i'll have to increase my commission prices a little more so i can make good profit and save for both college projects and college itself, or any future problem that could happen.
But don't worry!, you'll still get a full pic with Lineart, color, shading and background all for just 20 dollars!, and 5 dollars for additional characters ( up to 3 characters max) all drawn on paint tool SAI. ( FRIENDSHIP ENDED WITH COLORS 3D, NOW SAI IS MY BEST F R I E N D).

This is a list of stuff i mainly and mostly can do!, if something is not in this list you can ask me anyways, i'll let you know if i can do what you want or not!:

*Inflation (Body, belly breasts, butts, thighs, etc.)
*Slob
Now this is the stuff i won't be willing to do, each time i try my best to reduce this list, but there is some stuff you cannot expect from me:
*Diapers
*Scat
*Cub ( It can be an underage character, as long as it's not anything explicit)
*Humanoid characters ( This would mostly apply to characters with human-like faces)
Aside from this i will also make 2 YCH's and i'll soon release an art pack with 50+ unfinished/scrapped pics dating as back as 2014 for 8 dollars and an alternative with a never released sequence for 12 dollars
I'll make a journal where i'll put the current commissioners in order, i don't start a commission until i get paid first ( Don't worry, if for any reason you need me to refund you the money it's cool, just let me know!)

So just letting you know what i've been up to
General | Posted 8 years agoSo this has gotten to be the most busy year i've had, the main reason of why i didn't upload art at all was because i had to focus on college, i went to college from 8 am to 7 pm most of the time and had to focus on 4 big long term college projects plus homework, it was insane and stressful.
I had to put the commissions i was working on on hold until i was done with those projects, some went ok and others not so well but there is nothing i can do about that now.
And just as i finished the projects i had been working around may my drawing tablet ( Huion 1060 pro +) died, it stopped working completely which was a huge let down, i sent it to fix but after 3 whole weeks of waiting without an answer i gave up and ordered a Wacom Intuous from amazon for 70 dollars ( i still can't believe it) and got it a week later, so i spent a whole MONTH without drawing anything at all and wow was it boring and such a huge waste of time, and this tablet was a big let down as well, the pressure sensitive is well too sensitive, changing the pressure settings make almost no difference and i spent some time during my free time trying to get used to it and i guess i kind of got used to it now.
So yeah i'm finally done with commissions after a whole year, i've been doing commissions non stop since july 20 of last year! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20623270/ and since then i've done 44+ commissions!, I don't know how to thank you guys for all the support during these past 365 days!, you have no idea how much the money i made helped me.
I'll be opening commissions again in the next days, and there is a lot of personal artwork i've been working on since july of last year and i'm really excited to finally upload it!, i didn't want to upload them until i was done with the commissions, and i'm going to start later today so stay tuned!
