Just a quick update here as I know not everyone reads my Twitter. I have a chronic lower back problem caused by the conditions I was working in last year, and arly last week I had it turn into a slipped disc, which left me limping and barely being able to sit down for a few days. While it has gotten better, I'm still feeling the effects of it and I really don't want to push myself too much, so I've been working half days and avoiding doing large amounts of work which require me to work on the floor (cutting out fur, etc.). I've got a lower back support on order which should be here tomorrow, and I'll be going to the doctors pretty soon if it doesn't get any better, but please just bare in mind work will be slow for a while. This shouldn't affect anyone's deadlines.

Quick update to let you all know the final dates and details for my move with faruku. I'm leaving my current place on the 2nd November, and moving into my aunt's house until the 11th. I will be continuing work during this time and will primarily be working on Ssej's suit. I'm then moving into my new place on the 11th, where I won't have internet on my laptop OR on my phone for 2 weeks (crappy signal area wooooo). I will still be accessible during this time however, I'll probably take a trip to Starbucks every couple of days to reply to emails and such, but just bear in mind that from the 11th to the 25th November, communication might be a little slow.

Sent everything that needs to be sent thankfully so if you're expecting a package from you it should be arriving early next week at the latest. Currently furring Branston's head which'll be the last thing I do until probably Sunday or Monday since I'll be packing all day tomorrow and moving on Saturday. I'll still have internet and such until I move on the 11th so customers can expect fairly normal communication from me until then :) Any questions or concerns just leave a comment or shoot me an email!

Needed to get that long as hell journal off of my page aha. So I'm finally starting to get my moving situation sorting out which is helping with my stress a little, but it's not 100% confirmed yet so everything's still pretty up in the air. I'll be moving out of my current place next Saturday (2nd November), going to stay with some family for a week or two then moving into my new place sometime in November. We don't have a set date yet but I'm hoping to know by the end of the week so I won't have to spend too long at my aunt's place.

My work schedule's gonna be pretty sporadic for the next month or so until I'm done moving back and forward and can get into a decent work/sleep schedule. I'm currently dealing with living with a guy who keeps me up till 12/12:30 every night and generally makes me living situation really damn stressful, but I'm trying to get on with work the best I can.

Pulse is due to be done this week, then the majority of Branston will hopefully be done next week. Casting hooves and making some huuuuge digitigrade padding so he's gonna be quite the challenge, but he's progressing well :) Then I can hopefully start and finish Ssej while I'm at my aunt's place, then onto Don once I've moved back into my permanent place. So much moving D: I'll keep everyone updated personally through email when I can, thank you everyone for being so patient so far ;3;

So yeah, just a few updates to let everyone know the situation. Hopefully it'll all calm down once I can move out of my current place and start getting settled into a decent work routine.

I'll keep this short cause no one wants to read about the full extent of my personal life. Basically this week I've spent the vast majority of my time trying to sort out moving house by looking over rental sites, booking house viewings and going to said house viewings. This has eaten up way more time that I'd hoped, plus has really worn me down in terms of stress. I don't deal well with moving at the best of times, but couple that with trying to catch up on a backlog of work and it really hasn't done me any good, so emails have been the last thing on my mind unfortunately after sorting out moving house and trying to catch up with work. Unfortunately I still haven't found a place yet, so this might continue for the next couple weeks.

Now on top of that, I plugged my laptop into its charger this morning when I noticed it was on about 10% battery to see that it's no longer charging. I spent the last of the battery scouring eBay for a new charger, which should be here around Tuesday, hopefully sooner. While I do have my phone, unfortunately because I thought I'd be really organised and sort out all of my emails into folders, Outlook/Hotmail on my phone doesn't actually pick up these folders so just flat out doesn't show me the emails. So if you've sent me an email today I promise I'm not ignoring you, I just literally can't see it. I'll be emailing Brynn and Sock tomorrow and giving them an alternate email address to contact me at as they're the two customers I'm currently working with, everyone else I will reply to you as soon as I can, possibly tomorrow if your email address wasnt sorted into a folder.

So much for keeping it short haha. But yeah, that's the situation so please best with me for the next few days. I'm so sorry for the continued delay but I've got a lot on my plate right now, but I'll be getting round to everyone as soon as I can. Thank you all for being so patient, it makes me so happy to know I'm working with such wonderful people.

Quick update for you guys, I'm closing quotes for the time being. If you've submitted a quote, you'll get a response, so don't worry about that. Back from Eurofurence! Actually got back on Sunday but I’ve been hopping about all over the place running a few errands and re-organising myself. Back home now and back to my usual schedule tomorrow. I do however have the final information for my next round of commissions.

Commissions for fursuits, kigus, props will open on Monday 2nd September. As opposed to last time, commissions will be indefinitely open until all slots are filled, although I will still be choosing the projects I want to take on. Despite this, it’ll still be best to get your quotes in ASAP as slots will be relatively limited, especially for kigus and props. Here’s a list of info for each type of commission so it’s easier to break down:

Fursuits:
- Completion will be between December 2013 and May 2014 (up to Confuzzled).
- This will be the last time I will be open for fursuit commissions for Confuzzled completion, so if you want a suit from me for the con, now’s the time to get a quote in!
- I will ONLY be open for heads, partials, plantigrade and digitigrade fullsuits. No other separate parts.
- If you are a previous commissioner looking for additional parts or a bodysuit upgrade for example, please email me directly at madebymercury[at]hotmail.co.uk and we can sort something out.
- There has been a small overall price increase, as well as a price increase for certain specifications (follow me eyes being the biggest).
- A 30% non-refundable deposit will be required within 5 days of your slot being confirmed. A further 35% will be required approximately a week before construction begins, and then the rest + shipping costs on completion.

Kigus:
- Completion will be between November 2013 and February 2014. Commissions will reopen for these much sooner than fursuits.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required within 5 days of your slot being confirmed, with the rest + shipping costs due on completion.
- Piercings and full hair are not available at this time.
- Faux fur accents are available at an additional cost.

Props:
- Completion will be from October 2013 onwards. Slots and completion for these will depend entirely on the amount that I take on as well as the designs, however, once commission slots have been filled, I will have an approximate time of completion for all slots.
- Full cost is required upfront, with shipping costs due on completion.
- My ‘standard’ list of props (bones, bamboo, steak, carrots, fish, cookies and bacon) will be available at a reduced rate compared to custom props. Zebra flanks will be available, but are more expensive than those listed above.
- Designs made on commission may be used for mass production for sale online and at conventions.

Just as a note, it was brought to my attention that a few people didn’t receive their quotes during the last round of commissions, despite the fact that all were answered. As I've had a few comments and notes about this recently, I'd just like to clear something up. I do not give out quotes for any product until commissions are open. Until then, a list of my base prices can be found in the artist's description on my page, and I will soon be updating my commission info tab too. Any further questions regarding quotes will be ignored I'm afraid, the base prices give a relatively close idea of what you will be quoted, and the price will increase based on colours and complexity of the product.

As for commissions, I still haven't decided on a date for opening yet. It'll possibly be Monday 2nd September, maybe a week later, but I don't want to leave it too late as I need to have my orders sorted by October ideally.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a quick update, I've taken a few days off to rest and been prescribed painkillers and anti-inflammatories for if it flares up again and am feeling much better, so work will be resuming this weekend once I'm back home.
