Confuzzled's only 3 weeks away now and I'm finally finishing up my last bit of prep word on for the con. I've got a table in the dealers den and will be selling tails, paws, props, keyrings and art commissions, mostly badges and a few full pieces. This'll be my second year at the con and my first time dealing and I'm SO excited, I had an amazing time last year and I can't wait for this year. Got early arrival so I'm gonna be getting there on the Wednesday and leaving on the Monday, so it's gonna be a long one for me!

I'm also organising a MBM photoshoot during the convention. I'm thinking 12:30pm on Sunday 2nd June, probably meeting in the reception then we'll go outside maybe to the pond area. The shoot shouldn't last more than half an hour. If this clashes with anyone's schedules please let me know! I'd love to see a big turnout for this one :)

I've replied to all quotes so far, so if you haven't received a reply from me then check your junk folder, and if it's still not there send an email to madebymercury[at]hotmail.co.uk with the name of your fursuit as the subject title, and specify that you haven't received a reply to your quote and I'll resend it. If you're interested in carrying on the commissioning process then make sure you reply to the quote email otherwise you won't be considered! I've got to apologise for any spelling mistakes or mislabelled suits, I've been incredibly stressed with university work this week so missed a couple of changes in my replies, but the price in every one is correct so don't worry, I have looked at and priced every one individually.

Yup! I'm finally open for commissions again and I'm so excited. Here's some basic info on how I'll be doing things this time round:

- the quote form will be open for TWO WEEKS, until April 28th.
- these commissions are to be started in JUNE, after Confuzzled. Do not ask for a Confuzzled deadline.
- I will be opening again in Autumn time depending on how fast I progress with this queue
- previous commissioners looking for extra parts (ie. indoor feet, an extra set of handpaws, etc.) please email me directly at madebymercury[at]hotmail.co.uk . Please make sure you include the name of the suit I built for you as I may not recognise the email. DO NOT email me if you are not a past commissioner looking for separate parts such as bodysuits. I do not make these separately at this time.

A massive thanks to anyone that helped with my survey, I've closed responses now and will be writing my results shortly. Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's watched me recently, most likely because of my ad I bought a little while ago :) It's great to see so many people wanting to keep an eye on my new work, I should have some updates in the next couple of weeks!

Also, a few clarifications since some things have come up once or twice and I just thought I'd save the trouble of more people asking. First, I'm not taking MLP commissions this time round, or probably ever. Sorry, I just don't enjoy making them and I'd have to charge a LOT to justify the amount of work that I put into them.

Second, and this one's important, you have to be 18 years old or over to commission me. This is for a couple of reasons, first and most important is for the legality of entering a contract, if I enter into one with a minor I don't have any legal protection should things go wrong for whatever reason. Second, which is just for practical reasons really, is that if you commission a fursuit when you're say, 16, you're going to grow out of it VERY quickly. It makes far more sense to save up and wait a couple of years until you can buy something that'll fit you forever instead of a year.

Third, I ship worldwide! As long as the buyer is paying for shipping, I'll send a fursuit anywhere :) Just bear in mind I am based in the UK, so you may have a set a bit of money aside for this, as well as any import charges if you're buying from overseas.

Hope that clears things up, and sorry if this disappoints anyone. I'm opening for quotes in 2 weeks and I'm getting really excited about seeing what I'm going to be making over the next few months! For now though I'm busy prepping stock for Confuzzled and finishing up a few personal projects. Should have lots of previews and such to show soon :)

Just a quick FYI, COMMISSIONS WILL BE OPENING IN A MONTH, APRIL 14TH. Here's a recap on what I'll need to give you a quote and consider your commission:

- fill out the quote form once it's posted
- a full colour, minimum 2 view (3 view preferred) reference sheet
- a 30% deposit at the time of acceptance of your commission, just because you send in for a quote doesn't mean you're guaranteed a slot!

My base prices are:

Okaaay, so a few people have been asking me about my prices so I figured I might as well just make them public to make it easier for everyone. These will be the prices I'll be charging for this year unless anything drastic happens. I also thought it'd be easier for me to post up the details of how I work and what I'll need this far in advance of me opening for quotes so people have time to get their stuff prepared.

SO, here's the deal:

Prices:
Heads: £275+ ($430)
Partials (head, hands, feet, tail): £450+ ($705)
Plantigrade fullsuits: £700+ ($1100)
Digitigrade fullsuits: £850+ ($1330)

Prices are subject to change depending on design and other specifics. All payments are to be made in GBP. I've put the USD approximations as a guide but I will not accept payments in this currency.

What I will need from you:
- When I open the quote form I will need you to fill it out. There will be different options and fields depending on the type of product you're looking for.
- I will need a FULL COLOUR, MINIMUM 2 VIEW (3 is preferred) reference sheet. I cannot work without this and I will not be able to give you a quote if you provide me with a sketch. If you're in need of a ref sheet and don't know where to start for artists, then feel free to send me a note on my art account blackkrystal and i can sort out a price for you.
- Once I've confirmed I'll be taking your commission, I will need a 30% non-refundable deposit. I will then require 35% of the payment when your place is the queue has come around, then the remaining 35% when work is complete.

I will not be opening for separate parts, other than heads, this time around. I'll only be open for what is listed above. I generally don't do bodysuits unless you're upgrading from a partial I've previously made for you. Also as a note, I won't be making any MLP suits this time round, or probably ever. I really don't enjoy making them, sorry!

I will put the quote form up in mid April. It will remain up for 2 weeks. After these 2 weeks have passed and I have confirmed I will be taking on your project, I will need the 30% deposit. This will be at the start of May. Work on the first suits will begin at the start of June, so the first people in the queue will be required to pay their 35% then.

Since this will be my first time taking this on full time as I'm finishing university in May, I'm planning on taking on quite a few projects and filling up my queue for the remainder of the year, which is good news for you guys since I won't have to turn as many people away! How many suits I take on will depend on the types of suits I get asked to make, so I can't say for sure right now how many I'll be taking on.

I thiiink that's everything, I'll probably find I've forgotten a few details so I'll update this if/when I remember. Until then, if anyone has any questions then please don't hesitate to ask!

Happy new year everyone! Just as a heads up, this year will be very slow to start with regards to how much I post here. I have a commission and a few personal things that'll go up between now and May, maybe some parts too but it won't be anything consistent until June onwards when I've finished my university course.

Revised prices will be made public next month. I'll probably be sticking at these prices for another year depending on how things go and then raise them again in 2014 so that I will be able to sustain myself better without having to take on a huge workload. Over the last year I feel I've improved significantly and want my prices to reflect that.

Lots of new things on the way otherwise. I'll be getting an FA ad in a few months to help build my fanbase before I reopen for commissions. Speaking of commissions, I'm planning on opening them in late April/early May and starting the first batch late May/early June after Confuzzled. This batch will be significantly bigger than anything I've taken on before since this will be for my first few months out of education and I want to make sure I'll be able to sustain myself for a decent period of time. This means more projects will be taken on which is good news to you guys! I'll also be attending Confuzzled and Eurofurence this year and will have a dealers table at both, and depending on how they go I may be off to Midwest FurFest in November, but that is very up in the air at the moment.

I think that's everything for now. I'll expand on my pricing more when I make the base prices public but for now, thank you to everyone that's been patient while I've been working at university, I'm really looking forward to this year and being able to take on more projects again!

All moved up to my new place so I can finally get back to work properly. As such, I'm putting into place some new 'office' hours to keep me sane and to make sure I don't get tempted to get distracted from uni work constantly.

During this time I don't have set work hours, I just kind of work all day or sometimes into the night so the times I reply to emails can be a bit all over the place. SO, from Wednesday - Friday I will not be doing any fursuit work or replying to emails, this is strictly time for me to focus on University. This is more for me than anyone else just so I can try and stay on top of things, so we'll see how that goes. Should have full photos of Freddy and another fullsuit posted in a couple of weeks!

As previously mentioned, I'm currently in my final year of university which is proving to be a lot more work than I was expecting, and with fursuit work going at the same time I simply don't have enough time to do both without one suffering. As a result, I will not be taking on any further commissions until May/June 2013 unless otherwise agreed (this should only be one person and they know who they are). Sorry to anyone hoping to commission me, but I'd rather not throw the vast amount of money I've put into my education down the drain. There is a small chance I'll be open again before this, but this is a very small chance.

I hope you all understand and I'm looking forward to see what projects I'll be working on over the summer!

In 2 weeks I'll be moving up to High Wycombe to finish my final year of university. Because of this my fursuit workload will massively decrease so I can focus on my dissertation and other modules, but more information on upcoming commission openings will be posted soon. I'm hoping to have at least 1 of the 2 fullsuits I have on the go done by the time I move, if not both of them but the current fur shortage is making it a bit hard for me to source the colours I need. Nevertheless, both suits will be completely before the end of November at the very latest so I'll have updates pretty soon! Really happy with how this panda's coming out so I can't wait to get him done and see him out and about :)
