BEFORE THAT, I had a celebrity moment.
Didn't even get out of the car yet, pulling in at the hotel.
Man and his 3 daughter rush me, asking if I'm running more sewing classes this year.

Posted 10 years agoSorry, kids, I won't be at AnthroCon. This will be the second I've missed since 2002. SOMEONE NEEDS TO GO TO SUSHI KIM FOR ME AND PIG OUT LIKE MAD. I demand it. Yeeees.

I'll be in the Artists' Colony, selling my wares. (Actually.. my minions will be in the Artists' Colony, selling for me. I'll be trapped in PANELS all weekend!)
The new Semi Colon designs are DONE and ready to show off, we've even got shots! (Because it's okay to take a drink, when you pause. Just remember, life goes on.. with or without that hangover.)
I'll have 14 NEW DRAGONCOWS, plus the two beautiful orphans that didn't find homes at Fur the 'More. (I finally finished the adoption certificates, as well. PROGRESS!!)
Thursday night:
Sew a Kawaii Poo (I'm not kidding!!) 9-11pm in the RIDICULOUSLY MASSIVE CAPITAL BALLROOM!!!
Friday!
In the Mecha Room, we have:
Sew a Rice Ball, 1:20-2:40pm
Plushies, 4:20-6:20pm
Sewing Cat Ears, 6:40-8:40pm
Then we rinse off all the sweat, and hustle on over to Riverside to run:
KLINGON SNUGGLE DUNGEON! (9:40pm-close)
Saturday!
Plushies (repeat, because y'all STILL want to make plushies, after OVER A DECADE OF THIS!!) 12:20-2:20pm
Sew a Cupcake, 2:20-4:20pm
I'll be hosting ConnectiCon's CHARITY AUCTION again this year. Run your butts over to the Marriott Ballroom, we'll be there 5-7pm.
And then it's right back to sewing.

Posted 10 years agoStill sorting and unpacking from Ft'M/AwesomeCon, so those tracking/rough genetics notes in (a previous journal) are NOT up to date yet.
But now is the time of sitting and clicking, and so.. As I edit down the mug shots of each DragonCow from Clutch 0001, I'll be uploading them here, with a few notes to be expanded on later.
I was able to bring 14 babies to Fur the 'More, and there are two that made the trip home with me. If I don't keep them for the future In House breeding stalls, they'll (more likely) be offered for sale here and/or on Etsy.
Until MajikCraft.net is properly updated (I'll need a few weeks, perhaps a few months) - FA will get DragonCows updates FIRST. (Nuts to you, FaceBook! You're terrible!)

Fur the 'More and dragoncows and whatnot
Posted 10 years agoFur the 'More is always fun. Roomed with RyuuYouki (and her boy), and the lovely Bliss/Loki. Did a few panels, sold a few things, and OHMYGODS! Y'all helped get 12 out of 14 dragoncows adopted out this weekend! I'm so impressed, and the response to the upcoming system was just overwhelming. Even Hopeful Monster Studio picked one up!
What happens to the two left over?
They'll be presented here, and either adopted out or held over until ConnectiCon.
When I'm home, I'll be editing their mugshots for the archive, as well as uploading them here. I need to work hard on MajikCraft.net to get at least a bare bones archive in. I'll be looking for a forum, and maybe a chat box.
I need to design, or have designed, the adoption certificates. I'd like to look into fabric tags, tracking tags, and other packaging and accessories. (I'm open to suggestions as always! )
I'd like to get a brief world history and genetics overview written up.
And then?
Back into the wilderness to rescue more orphans!

Dig out the Sewing Fortune Cookies box, turn it into Sewing Tacos box.
Check status of fiberfil.
Call Comet Supply and murder death kill because I ordered 3 cases of glass. They shipped 2, with broken pieces.
Call UPS. See above.

This will be the inaugural test flight of both Sewing Tacos, AND of Fursuiting Horror Stories, so I'm going to want your INPUT of these!!
Tacos: Sew a taco. No, it's THAT easy.
Horror Stories: 18+, so we can TOTALLY talk about Nipples and Violence. (I'm so classy!) Not that that's the goal. Not that Nipples deserve Violence. Ever. But hey, Nipples!!
BRING YOUR HORROR STORIES, and make them FUNNY!! (The point of this event is NOT to slam makers/suiters, so let's not start pointing fingers and naming names, okay kids? We are Switzerland, we are neutral and safe!) Did you have a wardrobe malfunction in public? Strangers hitting on you off convention property? Tripped up a flight of stairs and *didn't* need an ambulance? WE WANNA KNOW!

Panel attendance was higher than it's been in YEARS!
Sat over 90 sewing students in the Friday Making Plushies class, and about the same for the Saturday class.
We made cat ears, fox ears, we sewed cupcakes and ninja weapons.
My classes were AWESOME! Had a lot of great help from Lucky Chance and (folks who don't FA).
Sold all the glass, sold all the plush, sold all the EVERYTHING at my table in AA.
The charity auction was insane! Artists Alley first pick sold for $801!
The lifetime pass sold for $800.
The omgomgomg original artwork from Bryan Konietzko sold for *$2,500*!!!!
I think the MS representative was going to cry.
A fan in the audience bought me a VERY expensive boxed set of Yoshitaka Amano art books (The Sky 1, 2, 3) HARD COVER OMG<3 <3 <3
Best AB in yeeears, and they've all been great!
