General | Posted 8 years agoHey, I know I've been gone for quite some time now, but I think I'll be returning shortly. I've been gone because I mainly practiced art on here, and I lost the pen to my tablet. Not having any incentive to come on, I haven't.
That being said, I'm getting a new tablet in a month or so, so I plan on coming back and art streaming with y'all. I don't even know if anyone has missed me, but I apologies are offered regardless.
Other than that, I have recovered well from gastric bypass, and have lost a total of 105lbs since June! only 70lbs more before I'm at my goal weight. I'm very proud of what I've accomplished thus far :)

First off, I just had my 7 year anniversary with my love~ We saw Wonder Woman (amazing movie btw) at a really awesome theater with reclining seats. I also made him a cake from scratch! Lots of fun to be had.
Mostly, I've finally been getting somewhere in my weight loss journey. My heaviest, I was 300lbs.
April 2016, I was referred by my doctor for a laparoscopic gastric bypass program in my area. It took a very long time (over a year) and a lot of traveling for appointments, but I finally got there.
June 6th, 2017 I headed to Toronto for my surgery. I was in the OR at 10:10am. The surgery lasted about an hour and a half, and went perfectly. I then spent the night (very painful) in the hospital. The following days were spent in a hotel about 20 minutes away.
Today I was finally able to go home to my doggo and kitties! I was so excited to see them :3
Pain is very manageable now. I'm very excited about the path to come. I've already lost about 30 lbs (starting two weeks post op). Here's to all my fluffy furs!

Life has been pretty stressful working at a call center, but I've recently made some changes to my schedule so I could have Wednesdays off as well as Saturday and Sunday. I'm so happy I've made this change because it gives me time for myself.
I'm so glad to be coming back, and to be talking to you guys again. I'm also going to be starting up arts again~ (my first stream might be all freebs for my followers as a thank you and welcome back party). I look forward to talk to you all again!

General | Posted 9 years agoAlright, so I feel like telling y'all what's going on in my life right now.
First off, I'm getting a new job. I've worked at McDonald's for the past 4 years, and due to recent asshattery on their part, I've looked for a new job. I now have a FULL time position at HGS (a call center), and I honestly couldn't be happier. I can finally start saving money to pay off my 18k in debt and save up for some neat things (maybe even a fursuit).
Secondly, (probably most importantly) my depression is gone!!! I've never been happier in my entire life. I've had severe depression since I was a child, so now that it's finally gone, I have to learn about my true self for the first time. It's like learning the world all over again. I still have my down days, but who doesn't? This is a major change in my life, and I'm so extremely excited to be able to move on to a new chapter in the book of life.
Finally, I'm getting my health in check. I finally got around to getting a pap test, and figuring out the extreme pain I've been having. Turns out I have an ovarian cyst (which I'm going to get an ultrasound for next week), and I have to teeny tiny bladder stones that I don't have to worry about. Also, my vitamin D and B12 are pretty low, so I'm on supplements for that now. Low Vitamin D in Northern Ontario is common, because we don't get a lot of sun for the majority of the year!
But the biggest thing? (No pun intended) I'm getting weight loss surgery (as my bmi is 47). I cannot wait to get the procedure done so I can further my healthy life. I am excited that I will be able to start doing cool things like kayaking and snowboarding...My body right now simply won't allow it. I've done a lot of research, and I'm getting a lot of help with specialists, so I know everything will be just fine. It will be a huge change, but my life will be far better in the long run because of it.
So that's what's been going on with me. I feel like.. I have a new life. Thanks all for keeping with me, and staying active in my life.

General | Posted 10 years agoI've been doing a lot of FREE art on stream to promote my GoFundMePage. Today, I was streaming a free base colouring OR sketch for a share of my page on any social media site.
Now, there has been this user coming to my streams (for the past couple of weeks), asking for free art. I happily made them two full pieces with two charcters; colour; shading; and one with a full background. My commission prices for these are $12 each, and each took me at lease 2 hours to complete.
This person came to my stream again today, and asked for yet another two character piece for free. To which I replied:
"I feel like a bag of dicks for saying this, but I've already done plenty of free art for you. I'll have to decline".....They left the stream.
They blocked me and sent me this note:
"I know all you want is commissions, I understand but at the same time, I'm kinda fucking sick of it xD
Good luck I guess, I don't want to be seen as your customer, and friendship is blown out the fucking windowwwww, congratulations."
Oh, the audacity; to assume we were friends in the first place!
As per Furaffinity's ToS, I will not name drop this person; for I am the better person in this situation.
If YOU are reading this; no one is your art slave. No one OWES you anything, and the superficial "friendships" you will make in your life will NOT work. I pity you. I pity how hurtful you are, and how empty your heart is. It's a shame you couldn't be better.
From here on in, I have a STRICT one per person freebie policy, and the list will be publically posted in my journals. Anything after that will have to be paid; or will be gift art.

I remembered; I also did a feral ref sheet for him that he requested for a friend. So. That's three pieces of free art!! around $30 of my time!

I've been bugging my mate to help me clean for the past week.
Today I cleaned all by myself as he sat around and watched anime despite me asking for help MULTIPLE times. He barely even lifted a fucking finger. It had to det cleaned because my anxiety was through the roof to the point where I couldn't even sleep. For reference to how much cleaning I did, there are 15 full bags of garbage outside and a full recycling box.
I'm so fucking mad at his laziness.

Every time I talk about something I'm excited about or even fucking vaguely interested in, I get told to stop. I'm so tired of being punished for being happy.
I'm getting WAY back into Marvel (and honestly I have an obsessive personality, so I guess it's my fault), and my friends are annoyed with me. I'm even forcing myself to not talk or think about it because I'll get too excited, and then I'll be brought back down again.
It's getting to the point where I'm scared of getting excited. Scared of being happy because the people fucking dearest to me will shit on my parade.
Every time I talk about something I'm excited about or even fucking vaguely interested in, I get told to stop. I'm so tired of being punished for being happy.
