MancFurs FA is now Live again!

for sorting this out after we had been locked out by FA's password reset. The account is now live and will be checked regularly for messages. We still have our Facebook and Twitter accounts open too if you want to go and check them out, the links should show in the header.
I hope you all enjoyed the Winter Party, the last meet of 2016 will be on the 10th December as usual at BarPop!

Posted 9 years agoThis event is 16+ Alcohol is only to be bought by and consumed by 18+ anyone caught underage or buying for underage will be asked to leave. No alcohol allowed in the fursuit lounge! No consuming your own food and drink! If you are caught with unapproved foodstuffs you will be asked to leave and may receive a ban. Tut tut. UNDER 18's MUST VACATE BY 6PM

We used to host meets when this venue was managed by different people under the name "Crunch" and the BarPop management have been interested in us coming there and have given us a good offer. Some Updates that should have been posted here but we forgot (sorry)
We have moved to Barpop on Canal Street, we shared this over our social media pages but apologies that it was not posted here; we'll try and be more active! This venue, like our previous one, still upholds a 16+ rule.
The next meet will be on the 9th January, at Barpop with more info to come in our next journal ^^

For a while now we've operated as a committee with 3 department heads leading their own part of the furmeet. We want to change this and bring MancFurs back together as a team. The furmeets will still be ran by Geo Panda, Rixie and Pizza but we won't have departments or titles. We will work as a team to make the furmeets better for the community.

Last furmeet there were a lot of people simply hanging around in the fursuit lounge for no apparent reason. When they were asked by staff to make their way upstairs staff requests were ignored. This area is a changing room and there are people in stages of undress that are not comfortable with having groups of friends using to lounge as a place to socialise. Please respect the rules and please respect the staff. Thank you.

Posted 11 years agoIt's nearly Christmas! That means a Christmas themed Manchester furmeet on Saturday 13th December to round off the year!!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Rule breaking will NEVER be tolerated. Bullying will NEVER be tolerated If you're caught by staff breaking any rules you will be asked to leave the venue.
Please remember that the fursuit lounge is for fursuiters and approved handlers only. And no, this doesn't mean if you're a fursuiter you can just sit around down there with your friends. It's a changing area. You're either getting changed, helping someone get changed or you're going upstairs.
NOTE ON THE FURSUIT LOUNGE
Every furmeet we ask the lounge to be cleared by 6pm and it's always still full of suitcases by 6:15pm. That unfortunately means we will be closing the fursuit lounge earlier than usual so the lounge is cleared and ready for further use by the venue.
The fursuit lounge closes (needs to be cleared) at 5:30pm
Any cases left in the fursuit lounge after 5:30 will be left upstairs in the public bar area *unattended*
Please remember to treat the venue with respect!

Anyway, onto the good stuff...
This months furmeet will be held at Tribecca bar in Manchester near Sackville gardens. If you are unsure where this is, newbies meet up at between 11am and 12pm at Manchester Piccadilly train station outside platforms 1 and 2. It always helps to have someone’s mobile number in case you get a bit lost or feel shy. Feel free to message any staff or volunteers to ask for a number to contact people on. There will be a member of staff waiting to welcome you at the station and are free to talk to any shy MancFurs who may be attending their first meet. Don’t worry! We've all been there! :)
We’ll make our way to Tribecca, our host venue, dead on 12 so don't get left behind. After you’ve arrived, the day is yours to spend as you see fit. Go out with a group of your friends to the city centre, stay inside the venue and take part in some activities, sit in the nearby gardens, head to the cinema and so forth.
Remember the fursuit walk LEAVES at 3pm so get changed and be outside before this time if you want to take part in the walk.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Rule breaking will NOT be tolerated. If you're caught by staff breaking any rules you will be asked to leave the venue.
Please remember that the fursuit lounge is for fursuiters and approved handlers only. And no, this doesn't mean if you're a fursuiter you can just sit around down there with your friends. It's a changing area. You're either getting changed, helping someone get changed or you're going upstairs.
NOTE ON THE FURSUIT LOUNGE
Every furmeet we ask the lounge to be cleared by 6pm and it's always still full of suitcases by 6:15pm. That unfortunately means we will be closing the fursuit lounge earlier than usual so the lounge is cleared and ready for further use by the venue.
The fursuit lounge closes (needs to be cleared) at 5:30pm
Please remember to treat the venue with respect!

Anyway, onto the good stuff...
This months furmeet will be held at Tribecca bar in Manchester near Sackville gardens. If you are unsure where this is, newbies meet up at between 11am and 12pm at Manchester Piccadilly train station outside platforms 1 and 2. It always helps to have someone’s mobile number in case you get a bit lost or feel shy. Feel free to message any staff or volunteers to ask for a number to contact people on. There will be a member of staff waiting to welcome you at the station and are free to talk to any shy MancFurs who may be attending their first meet. Don’t worry! We've all been there! :)
We’ll make our way to Tribecca, our host venue, dead on 12 so don't get left behind. After you’ve arrived, the day is yours to spend as you see fit. Go out with a group of your friends to the city centre, stay inside the venue and take part in some activities, sit in the nearby gardens, head to the cinema and so forth.
Remember the fursuit walk is at 3pm so get changed before this time please!

Art corner UNTIL 2PM
Every meet we have an art corner hosted by some helpers. Feel free to pull up a chair and get drawing. This corner is open to everyone with pens and paper provided. Artists can sit down and even sell art/print/merc (No cash exchange inside the venue please) PM for further details.

Pretty obvious one there =P Take care of yourself! We're not babysitters.

Posted 11 years agoThank you everyone for the great furmeet I really enjoy seeing everyone smile. Unfortunatly there were a few things at the furmeet that really need resolving as i'm getting sick of asking every meet. x_x So a message from all MancFur staff:
Please stop eating and drinking your own food inside the venue. Last warning via social media. If you're caught to leave you'll be asked to leave from now on. This damages the relationship with have with the venue!!!
I never thought we'd have to say this but PLEASE don't chase each other around running full pelt in the venue! Cute play fighting yeah sure go for it but kicking each other and nearly kicking other people trying to walk past. It needs to stop seriously.
Also another thing I thought i'd never say. I know you're all excited but please keep howling to a minimum. It's loud, it's annoying and it's really not needed inside such a small venue...
NO LEADS it's dangerous! Pulling someone around the furmeet on a lead? Really?
P.S Harnesses are OKAY as long as they're nylon (not some studded leather or something xD)

So notes are going at the top this time considering people are obviously not reading them at the bottom of the journal...
Please stop eating and drinking your own stuff inside the venue (bottled water is allowed for fursuiters) This issue is irritating the venue and putting our booking in jeopardy. The venue sell their own reasonably price food and drinks so support the venue please guys!

Manchester furmeet - 12th July

So notes are going at the top this time considering people are obviously not reading them at the bottom of the journal...
At the last meet we had countless people eating their own food inside the venue and leaving rubbish all over the place. Please stop this right now! The venue does not permit food bought outside of the premise to be eaten inside and we certainly don't expect to be picking up chocolate and cake wrappers after you guys seriously. If you're caught eating inside the venue you'll be asked to leave. If you get caught again you'll receive a 1 meet ban on top of being asked to leave. This issue is irritating the venue and putting our booking in jeopardy. The venue sell their own reasonably price food so support the venue please guys!
On another serious note staff found 1 attendee who shall go unnamed drinking their own bottle of Southern Comfort casually in the upstairs area (purple lounge) We are aware who this individual was and you are now on your last official warning before bans get handed out. I think it's very disrespectful of you to show up to a 16+ furmeet in a bar are start drinking your own alcohol. Show some respect and manners!
We've had a few complains from other attendees and venue bar staff that are few fursuiters are getting a big "handsy" with each other. Please remember guys this is a public venue not exclusively booked to us, also the bar staff don't really fancy coming into work on Saturday to see you grabbing each others dicks so please, lay off the PDA. It's getting too far now.

The theme this summer is Hawaii!!! =D
We meet up at Manchester Piccadilly Train station! Until 12PM we'll be gathering near the departure/arrival signs and Platform 1 & 2 But feel free to make your own way to the venue. ^^ It's always good to have someones phone number in case you get lost! Plan ahead and be safe ^^
At 12PM - Head to Tribecca on Sackville St (just off Canal Street).
For this meet we are going to the new meet venue Tribecca... We'll also have the exclusive Bed bar located in the downstairs area of the venue with DJ facilities and a separate bar as well as the small up stairs area as a second fursuit lounge.
If anyone needs any info on parking or directions, feel free to ask =D

Tribecca serve their own food, it's pretty affordable and real good. We'll be having themed drinks at the bar too!

Artist Alley/Dealers Den - 12:30-6pm
This will be located in the seated back part bit of Tribecca. Please make sure any business is conducted off venue though as the venue does not abide outside trade in their establishment. (I'd suggest doing cash transfers out the front or digitally via paypal).

Fursuit walk - 3pm
The main fursuit walk is at 3pm. This walk will be longer than the mini walk (duh) xD
Mini fursuit walk - 3.40pm
A smaller group will be taking a shorter more managable walk for those who don't like being in suit for long periods of time.

Red Hot Buffet - 5.20pm
Anyone wishing to go to Red Hot Buffet needs to contact evilsquirrel BY SUNDAY 22ND JUNE as this event is pre book only. Meet outside the venue ready to leave at 5.20pm sharp! Evil will be leading everyone towards the restaurant, where it's £15.99 a head for all you can eat!
With over 300 freshly made dishes from around the world that includes Indian, Thai, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Cajun, Mediterranean, Tex Mex, English and more, all made by over 35 skilled chefs. Sushi is on offer, along with live pasta stations, a noodle bar, pizza, 30 desserts, and even a waffle and crepe counter.
