The 10 Year Update
Posted 2 years agoHey y'all, Fuze here,
It's been 10 years, if you can believe that. I just wanted to take some time to sit and reflect on where I am in this art journey and wanted to give an update on where I am with my art and my short and long term projects. To think, it started in the summer of 2012, when the MLP/brony fandom was still on the rise. Gosh, what a different time that was. I had graduated with my engineering degree, but due to the recession, was unemployed for a full year. I had filled in that time picking up hobbies to fill in the time; gardening, interior renovations, cooking, guitar, and finally digital art. Borrowing a drawing tablet and following along with some art-streamers, I had imitated my way into drawing fan art for MLP. This would eventually lead into a fascination with storytelling, character design, and original creations.
I'd go back to university to get another degree, but during the two years I was in graduate school, I was still pursuing my passion in digital art. I had built a small but niche following for my gay pony art, but I had moved from being purely making genderbent versions of the main characters, to creating my own characters to make art with, and drawing other people's characters as well. I made a number of internet friends that I still have, some that naturally drifted, and I had to do a lot of learning on how to navigate social relationships. Around this time, I'd actually start drifting away from MLP and into the more general furry space. It was a natural if scary move, since it meant that I had to start improving my art game up.
After grad-school, was the biggest shift in my life, moving to the city for a job opportunity. For the first time, I was literally all on my own, and to be honest, having my online network of friends that supported me, really got me through that tough transition time. Also, with only my job to worry about, I could spend all my free time doing art. It was an interesting time, learning how to navigate being a young adult, holding down the responsibilities of my job, balancing relationships, exploring my sexuality, and figuring out how to accomplish my art projects. I made a lot of missteps, but I hope that I've learned from them.
For art, though, I was more productive than ever. I'd spend 4-8 hours a day doing it, even more on the weekends. I had an ongoing image series for my MLP dragon story that went to 200 images. I was creating VNs from scratch that I had no idea how to do. I was making new pokemon comics, and eventually regular furry comics. Then had started my pokemon fan comics as well as the furry comics in Texnatsu, though I would end up changing the working title of the project. I kept it up for 6 years, consistently streaming nearly every night my art progress. I moved from Tumblr to Twitter, and even made a Patreon.
Then came the pandemic, which funny enough, didn't effect me as much as other people. I was lucky to have a job that kept me employed, as well as let me start working from home. As someone who existed online, this was an easy transition, but I think the lack of variety in my life had really started to weigh on me. I started getting back into video games and real life hobbies, which pushed my time to do art, much later. This is partially why I stream so late these days, since my early afternoon time is spent on other hobbies, but my need to do art makes me do it late into the night. That being said, my production is as good as ever, since I'm still able to consistently put out comics and pictures.
So, that brings me to this year and my current plans for art projects.
First is my Pokemon anthro art, and the PCA comic universe. This series of art is my playground for comics and image series. I don't expect to have major plot lines or character developments, as it's just a way for me to have fun with anthro pokemon in sexy scenarios. My main character Pawl, is someone I'll always have fondness for and just love pairing him with anyone and everyone. Gao and Lucas have become an interesting couple/non-couple, as they aren't officially together, but they sure do get into a lot of scenarios with each other. The general rule I have for my PCA universe is that relationships are flexible, and anyone could be with anyone.
Next, my Little Oasis (texnatsu) comic series. There are 14 comics currently out for it, and that I'm considering my "Season 1" of the series. Each of the 9 main characters got an introduction comic, and it's emerging that Ty is the one character that is having the most plot development. This series I do have a general idea of a story for, and a sense of progression. So for "Season 2", while there's going to be more light-hearted comics with the other characters, Ty's comics are going to have a more substantial story to them.
Next, some visual novel updates. I've got a visual novel in the works right now. I don't want to give too much away, but I am making a remake/redesign of my first visual novel, "Load off". It's in collaboration with my good friend Kyuu, to be a lot more immersive and still have the fan favorite characters, and update some of the parts that are lacking.
Finally, other art and projects, I'm always finding something new to draw or something to explore. I have some fantasy ideas that would be fun to explore once I've reached a good point with the Little Oasis comics, but I'd like to stick to one plot-centric idea at a time.
Overall, I'm kinda surprised at where I am 10 years after I started. In someways, I was hoping I was further along in quality and prestige, but also I can't complain for how far I have come. If I were to give a few nuggets of my learned wisdom and observations, it would be this. The idea that time, effort, and education will produce amazing results is naive, at best. Natural talent and luck are significant factors. But, I'd say the most important aspect, is passion. If you have passion for your craft, people will notice, and it will be the fuel that pushes you through the tough times.

Twitter Account has been Recovered
Posted 4 years agoHey Guys,
Update on the Twitter account situation. As of last Thursday I had lost control of my twitter account. The hacker had changed the associated email with the account, so in order to obtain control back I had to email Twitter support directly. During the period of time that Twitter was looking into it, the hacker had posted a scam for selling a PS5 and sending money and information through DMs. I had some friends try to comment on the posts to inform other people that it was a scam, however, the hacker blocked my friends and removed the warnings. As such, a handful of people may have fell victim to the scam. To those people, I offer my sincerest apology. I have regained control of the account, and have improved my password and enabled a two-factor authentication to improve the security of it.
I'll be resuming posting my artwork there to make up for the last few days that I was unable to post. I thank you for your patience in this matter.

Twitter Account is Compromised
Posted 4 years agoHey y'all, Fuze here.
Quick announcement that as of 9:30 this morning, my twitter account was hacked into and started scam posting about selling a PS5. This is not me, and I've been unable to regain control of the account, due to said hacker changing emails. I've sent an email to Twitter Support to try and resolve the situation, but for the time being, please do not give any information/money in DMs towards me. I'm not selling anything, nor in need of financial help should the hacker try different approaches.
Bright side, looks like I'm popular enough to warrant getting hacked, ha

Posted 6 years agoNew Beginning's After Tumblr
Posted 6 years agoHey y'all, Fuze here.
I know it's been a sparse few weeks since the fall of Tumblr and all the drama surrounding that. In terms of me, I don't really plan on posting there since it's blurred my icon out and most of my stuff has been rendered invisible. Plus most of my followers also left the platform so it's hard to justify my continued use of the site after all that. Like 75% of my work is suggestive at least, so it would be very stripped down anyway.
Now, I've got two things to figure out. 1) Where am I going to post my daily picture posts? 2) What do I do with the Tumblr archive of pictures, spanning at least 5 years of content?
For my daily posts I'm looking to use Twitter as a temporary measure, but it's not really built as an archive platform, but FA feels a bit too formal for some of my more simple pictures that I do. There are other sites, but I haven't done any research into them, like Newgrounds, AO3, and Weasyl. What I may do is start trying to use my FA more, and utilizing the scraps folder a bit more for some of my more simple pieces and save the main gallery for my bigger projects and image series.
The other thing is what to do with my zip file of all my Tumblr posts. I've set up a zip file for download, but due to circumstances, I'll give the link out for 1.5 gigs of old art once the new year comes around. I'll try and upload some of the favorites to this and other sites in a sort of "throwback thursday" kind of thing, but I don't want to upload old art all the time, even if it's not readily available.
As of this month and holiday season, I've been in a slump of unfinished projects and distractions (thanks smash), so my output has been less than stellar. I do have some projects in the pipeline, but my policy is to not release project/image series half finished, which is why even though I've been working a lot, I haven't exactly been publishing as much as you'd think. Hopefully I'll get over this funk and start completing projects and image series and posting them in a more consistent manner like I used to.
While I'm not streaming over this holiday, due to not having the privacy/internet connection while I'm away, I do plan to continue streaming on a regular basis, about 8 pm cst every night till midnight. Though recently they've been more like gaming streams, it's usually pretty fun for stream viewers from what I hear. Give a follow at https://picarto.tv/FuzeStuff if you haven't already.
Also, please follow me at https://twitter.com/FuzeDudeArt if you haven't already.
It's a weird transition period for me, but I'm hoping you're still into what I'm giving and that I am still planning on making some pretty neat and hot stuff in the future.

Pokemon Combat Academy Comics
Posted 10 years agoSo when it came to the Mt. Chimney comic, I had actually started it back in July, the first 11 pages or so, when Pawl is accepted into the academy. This comic was me trying my hand at making a comic and not just a picture series with a written story along with it. I had finished Pokemon Explorers of Sky, so I was wanting to do anthro talking pokemon.
It was an idea I had had since mid-2000s, when the Pokemon Combat Academy meme was more popular. Of course, back then I had no online presense other than a lurker, no writing talent or any drawing talent. Taking that back, I had actually written something, but it was typical teenage angst stuff, and was barely a page long. There were two characters originally, an armaldo and a poochyena. The armaldo is still on the side-lines for whenever he can fit in the story, but the poochyena is the same one from back then, so it's a bit of a wish fulfillment comic for me.
The groudon was inspired by older PCA stories where the legendaries were the headmasters, and I wanted to do an anthro groudon. The comic also gave me an opportunity to do something clean and incorporate action poses and fight poses.
Then after the first bit, I took a break and went and did the bowser story. You've read how I felt about that story so I really wanted to go back and do some clean fun with Pawl and continue his story. So, actually in college I revisited that original PCA comic idea and came up with a couple other characters, a totodile and an electrike. I subbed the totodile for the mudkip, since it made more sense region wise, but the electrike is also the same one I came up with back then. More wish fulfillment.
I made the story how I would like to see a story like that play out, with battling and action poses, and friendship. Very anime really. This was drawn back in September, so I've been sitting on it on my other sites for a while. Then came the dirty thoughts, which also happened to have existed at some point in my teen years, can't lie there.
So, now that the characters are set up, somewhat, I decide to do a quick time skip, and age them up appropriately, and then do sexy things with them. This also gave me a chance to try my hand at a porn doujin, which I enjoy and have wanted to try. After my distaste for the bowser story, you can see I went for something a bit more innocent and vanilla.
Overall, I'm really happy with how these turned out, and would like to continue this at some point down the line, once I've improved my skills even more.

The Prince's Capture Picture Series
Posted 10 years agoSo I did that picture series back in August, but I didn't really want to post it here, since I'm not particularly happy with it, and everyone was so encouraging with the Star Fox picture series, I felt this was a step back in quality.
Like most of my projects, they tend to be one off pictures that I feel can be expanded upon and create some kind of story. Back in August I was on a bit of Bowser kick, so this was a way of satiating that. The inspiration was why he wore a spiked collar and spiked wrist cuffs, and how did he get them? So my mind went to some place really dark and kinky, because hey, I had mostly done lighter and fluffier stuff before then, why not go a bit darker?
So, couple that with what Bowser usually does by kidnapping princesses, and reverse the situation. Bowser's getting kidnapped, and becoming some kind of sex slave prisoner, and that's where he got the collar and cuffs. There's not a lot of races in that universe that made sense, so I just went with Yoshis because they don't work for Bowser, and with role-reversals that I do, having yoshis be the antagonists was amusing. I made them ninja's, cause it made sense with them being able to flutter jump and all, and thus the Koopa King getting kidnapped and publicly humilated became a thing.
Like, he's still supposed to be a bad guy and evil, but you still kinda feel bad for the guy. It was supposed to be a bit longer, with Bowser meeting the yoshi emperor and becoming a sex prisoner, but I kinda wanted to leave it as is for now, since I wanted to move on to something else.
The setting was also kind of weird too, since it's a beachfront in the morning, which is not normally the time or place for public humiliation, so the broad daylight was a bit jarring to the content.
Looking back though, I kinda wish I had taken a different approach to the story and the pictures, but sometimes you just try things out and they don't work as well as you thought they would. Just need to learn from it, and move on to other projects.

Space Station Secrets Picture Series
Posted 10 years agoSo Space Station Secrets was the next picture series after Geki Sex Ed. I did it around a week or two afterwards, while taking random requests. In fact, I had just come up with Fuze hyena right before I started SSS. It's kinda funny how it came about too.
See, I hardly plan these things out. I usually am in the mood for a certain theme, like bondage or mind control, so I do a bunch of variations and stories in a certain universe. I hardly think them out, and it's usually the picture that drives the story, and not the story dictating what the picture will look like. In the case of SSS, I wanted to draw Fox wearing undies and an undershirt, familiar fare for those that follow me on tumblr.
Well I happen to really like how it came out, so while drawing the background, a story starts to form and questions come up. Why is he wearing that, why does he look a bit embarrassed? So then I'm all like, well let's say he opened a door, and some one he didn't expect is there. Wolf fits the bill, so I drew him.
As the story progressed, it became Wolf misinterpreting what Fox is saying, and ends up making himself more comfortable, in turn making Fox more uncomfortable. Then a series of events happens, where suddenly the tables have turned and Fox decides to take control of the situation and Wolf is gonna let him, cause he's into that kind of stuff.
From a story point of view, it's a mess, and really not at all well thought out. I started throwing in kinks that I happen to like that would've been better off not present, like the tying the arms behind the back and bondage. I needed to stick with a kink, namely the powerplay roleplay and toys, and roll with that to keep it consistent. I also never really call the characters by name, sort of a way to keep it ambiguous that it's an AU.
The drawings are better though. I really tried playing with perspective and different viewing angles for the shots. The background is minimal, because I don't like drawing backgrounds, but I think the color mood really helped.
It's also the series that gave me a massive push in followers on Tumblr, and to date is still my most popular picture series. I left the ending a bit open for the chance at a sequel, but I've got other stuff I want to do.

Posted 10 years agoI'm gonna use this space to do my own little blog post about my thoughts on the recently uploaded picture series, Geki Sex Ed.
The idea came from when we had finished watching the series, Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger, in the stream I do nightly. Of course being a shipping bunch, the stream shipped several characters together. I had also done up some drawings of the characters as anthro versions of their spirit beast. So, there was a yaoi moment, and the stream wanted to see Jan and Retsu having fun times with each other.
Story-wise, there's really not much there. I hadn't put in a lot of thought into it, only adding dialog between the two of them to move the plot along. It's a bit weird since Jan is so innocent, and 'corrupting' him might feel weird, but there's a twist at the end where he's not as innocent as he seems.
Drawing-wise, I really like the stripping scenes and undies scenes personally, so that was a motivating factor for me. The rest of the pics allowed me to try out different perspectives and positions. I can see where I didn't put in as much detail (especially in the dicks), and places that need improvement, which I hopefully do by the next picture series.
Overall, I think it was satisfactory.

Regarding Requests and Commissions
Posted 10 years agoHey y'all, just an update on if I do commissions or requests, and the answer is that I do not do commissions at this time. I will not rule it out in the future, but as of writing this, I am not planning to take commissions.
Requests on the other hand, are of a different matter. If you follow me on Tumblr, you'd know that I stream pretty much every night, but it's usually working on my own projects and stuff for me. But every few weeks I'll hold request raffles, where I pick viewers at random to give them a free pic.

In regards to art-trades, I don't get many requests for these, because of that, that would be taken on a case by case basis.
I hope that clears things up.

Hello FurAffinity!
Posted 10 years agoAllow me to introduce myself; I go by the name of Fuze, and while that name seems to be different from the name of my account, it is because this account came first back before when I was merely a fan and observer. But during the summer of '12, I had picked up a digital pen and started down this journey of fan art and debauchery, and took up the artist handle of Fuze. My tumblr page may say, fuzebox.tumblr.com, but that is so that I am not confused with the drink of the same name.
As the new year is upon us, it is time for new resolutions to be made. One of which, is to branch out from my first home of Tumblr to a site that may provide a better gallery viewing experience and so that other folks who may be interested in my work can find me.
I look forward to hopefully keeping this site updated with works that I'm particularly happy with and updates with my current projects.
