Work ended for the summer, thank GOD. I absolutely love my job but working full time while in college is soul sucking af!!!!
Theres barely been time to exist outside of the work/college grind since January, because i started full time to save up more money x__x

I miss drawing so much. holy moly. its been literal months since ive drawn anything new

I have one commission left on my queue that's way overdue, but all i gotta do is finish coloring/rendering it.
Theres a bunch of little things i want to draw for myself/friends and update my sona sheet. It's a decade old now??!!
Also still want to get an animated icon too...Just...... do whatever!!! (while i have a little more free time until the fall)
I'm in summer classes and going thru finals hell atm, but at least i dont have to work during it (otherwise id really be in hell lmaooo)
I'll be graduating in December and then its onto university for 2 more years. Not sure how much that'll allow me to be online, but ill try bc i really do miss interacting with folks and drawing for fun

Getting back into the swing of things has been successful! I'm opening 3 more commission slots, Im aiming to take no more than 2 weeks to complete each one.

My goal afterwards is to work on animation examples for commissions! I'll open 3 slots for those, they will range from icons to full body simple animations until I get better at them.

I recently went to TFF and decided its been a long enough time to gently use social media again.
I stayed away for the sake of my mental health and focusing strictly on getting my life in order. Things are going really well for me now, but I miss talking to folks online and drawing!!

Howdy folks, i hope you’ve been doing well!

I dont want to get into too many details on whats been happening to cause my disappearance, for the sake of privacy.

In a nutshell, back in October i had a health crisis situation. I sent out notices the best i could during the time, but a lot was happening that i wasn’t able to handle. I started receiving treatment in November, and was advised by my doctors to stay offline during my intensive recovery to keep stress levels down. I made a post on Twitter letting folks know id be away for awhile, but i didnt have the chance to do so here. I am still recovering, and it will take me some more time- so please continue to be patient with me for the next few months.

I’m still taking every day at a time, working on health related issues. I will be trying my absolute best to respond to notes/dms on twitter/discord messages. And to the few folks that i have on my commission queue, i have gently resumed work on your pieces, and plan to open commissions again in the future. My goal for the upcoming months is to take in 1-2 at a time so i wont become overwhelmed as i continue my recovery.

Hey guys, i hope you’re having a better time than i am right now. Vent journal because i am Very Stressed™️

So Vani, Pho and i just got back from our roadtrip to sell at FWA this morning. I only had a good time because of them, and seeing friends I normally dont get to hang out with.

FWA was so drastically different from last year. i was in the dealer’s den with Pho n Vani for a day, then the artist alley most of the days with Neaa and one day with Geeki. I literally did not reach $40 in sales the entire weekend. I know it was a hard con for sales for a lot of people, but...jfc....$38 in 3 full days of selling really...stung.

It definitely hurt a lot because i invested in making merch, and getting to the con itself...but the real blow was to my self worth in art. Im super discouraged and want to take a break because of how bummed out i am over this....but its my main source of income until someone hires me..
Being a struggling artist is the worst. Just continuously stressing out every day because of zero security. I never know if ill be able to make money or not every month since im just ok at what i do, and don’t have a lot of followers to make more sales. I cant afford health insurance, basic needs like my dog needing his shots this month, i need to pay bills, i need to eat...Vani was kind and paid for me to eat this weekend, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to afford to...

Oh and on top of being in the red because of this con, someone thought it’d be super nice to steal my card info and take what little money i had left out my bank account :’) I called and filed fraudulent claims so it’ll be returned in a week, but i had a bill due yesterday that i couldn't pay for because of it.

Im just.

So tired.

Of this never ending cycle.

Ive been putting in job apps but its been 6 months of this now...

I just hope things change for the better soon..

The question to my watchers: what kinds of adopts or offers (like ych etc) do you want to see from me? Im still trying to figure out what to do for a steadier income while i continue searching for a part/full time job. I hate having to rely on this alone for a means of living right now, but i have no other choice. I really want to start working on art for my personal enjoyment again, like comics of my own characters, drawing things for friends, making fan art/merch for cons, and just exploring with painting and what not..i feel creatively constipated with how things are now.

But freelance work is all i have until i do find a sturdy job, and its been very stressful...

Been considering ko-fi gold or patreon but i have no idea what people want to see from me? Im still a new artist to the scene with a lot of growing to do..im lucky to have been noticed even slightly, i feel like i have so much to learn. Which is great!! But. Its at times like these where i feel bummed about the content i create because its not good enough, or its not reaching? Streams have been more dead than they used to be, commissions have slowed significantly, and adopts are hard to sell at all. Im overthinking and feeling down, any constructive feedback would be appreciated greatly. y__y Thank you

I'm finally settled in at my new place in Philadelphia with rad roomies!! <3

Currently waiting on a callback from a job, so until then im going to be doing commissions. I've got 6 pieces left on my queue- will open more/take in stream commissions once im finished with them.
