I went to a museum yesterday and they had a lot of sunfish stuff and recently a sunfish stranded here and they are preserving it. They are harmless but so creepy to me XD

Posted 2 years agoIt's my 30th birthday today, it always sounds like a big deal but overall it really isn't. At least it's nice to look back and see how much I've grown and one thing is certainly true; some things really do get better/easier as you get older.
I still struggle with a lot of things and one of the hardest things has been to accept and understand myself (my neurospicyness being the biggest one and all the mental and pyshical symptoms that are connected to that).
I've carried a lot of grief from feeling misunderstood and I realize it was mostly because I didn't understand myself and it has made me feel so shameful, wrong and out of place. I've rejected so many parts of myself just to conform to a 'normalcy' that doesn't even exist.
This 'me' has been longing to be seen and loved and I'm slowly learning to embrace all these parts of her, bit by bit to be able to feel at home in myself, and to continue to celebrate the Weird and Wonderful in everything.

Posted 3 years agoSo I have subclinical hypothyroidism for now. (my TSH levels are 11 and it should be in the 0.4 - 4.0 range ) I'll have another bloodtest in a few weeks... I am a bit worried and I'm trying to put more iodine rich food in my diet. Anyone here with (subclinical) hypothyroidism willing to share their experience? Do you take meds? What else do you keep in mind?

Posted 3 years agoEven when Twitter turns into shit (i mean it already was but you know...it still gets worse apparently xD) at least there is still FA, which is much better for my overstimulated anxiety filled brain. I don't get much traffic here anymore since my art went in different directions from my more typical anthro based work, but I still feel at home.
I truly hope FA won't change. Some people complain that it looks outdated, but it functions exactly as it should and it is much more manageable than social media ever will.

Posted 6 years agoLiving for comments and faves won't make you happy, especially when all the lovely feedback you do receive is still not enough, I know it's like a drug, but complaining won't solve anything. Make art because it makes YOU feel happy!

With these commissions I will have artistic freedom so I can experiment with backgrounds and ideas. I don't mind drawing tasteful nudes and pinups. I have a soft spot for romantic scenes.
