Hello everyone, surprised to be hearing from me again huh?
First of all, I want to apologize yet *again* for the lack of updates, art and especially communication. It’s obviously not very appropriate for me to just disappear like that, and I do apologize greatly.

It’s been a pretty agonizing couple (read: massive amount) of months, and I’ve been doing so much that I haven’t been taking the time to draw at all. It’s been *that* bad.
If you don’t already know, my mother has Rheumatoid Arthritis, and is currently bed-ridden. She’s been so for over 6 months now, and I’ve been having to take care of her pretty much every day. She doesn’t make things easier for me either, and I’ve been struggling at a lot of other things I need to be doing because of it, hence the massive dry spot in art.

My depression hasn’t been doing me any favors either, and with that and the fact that I have to take care of my mother constantly every day with no breaks and practically no time to myself, ‘ve basically thrown a lot of projects and my art-making to the wayside. It’s hard, like…. Really hard. Because I’m too occupied with this care situation, my mind (and body :/) immediately throws out being able to draw or work on things because getting in the mood to draw requires a hell of a lot of focus for me, and I obviously can’t have that when I have to constantly get up to give someone water, or food, or some late night snack because they can’t get up and do it themselves (can you tell I’m pissed?)

I guess you could say that I’ve been on a uhhh… mandatory hiatus? That I’d like to return from.

Fortunately, lately things have been…. easing up, kinda. And with that and my motivation to draw in full effect, I may get back into drawing soon. *Maybe*. I very, *very* much cannot say when I’ll be returning or when I’ll be posting art again, but I do have some plans in place for when I do.
For starters, I won’t be opening for commissions until I can fully invest myself in doing art, and can actually have a consistent upload and art schedule. I’m already months late on 2 art trades, so taking commissions for money while I’m in the garbage (read: landfill fire) mental-state I’m in right now would be extraordinarily irresponsible and pretty stupid lol, so that’ll be way later. My plan is it ease into doing art first with personal pieces. I have some projects I’d like to get back to, especially with my personal species, and since I don’t want to work on the art trades and other pieces I owe others just yet (because I want them to actually look good), I figured the personal pieces I have on the backburner will be a great warmup.

After that, I’ll start on the trades, then prepare for a few commissions and see how that goes. We’ll see how that goes, and if all goes well, maybe I’ll open up for a few more!
As per the usual, I’d like to extend a gargantuan thank you to everyone who’s been supporting me so far, especially with you guys’ unbridled patience for my dumbass lol. I’m working as hard as I can, and I cannot *wait* to finally get back into drawing again and posting content for you guys to enjoy.

But hello everyone! It's me. I'm keeping this short because there's not a whole lot to say [This ended up not happening lmfao sorry!!], but I'm just gonna talk a little bit about me plans for this month.

Rn I'm focusing on trades I owe. I have 2 that are due on my end (ones overdue but y'know, lifes getting in the way*), and making way for commissions which I'm aiming to start opening in September. I luckily only have 3 trades to do, which I should be able to knock 2 out this month and start the next one near the end. That's my plan anyway.
*Will talk about that in a sec.

And I'm also kind of deciding that I'm gonna be a little less active on Twitter. I'm a bit of a mess rn, and my life is upside down, and I don't want that to infect the tweets I make, and plus I'm starting to not be happy with my personal twitter anymore. I'm even thinking about just making a new personal twitter entirely because the old one is just kinda dead to me and I wanna refresh myself a bit. I'll talk more about that when I'm more concrete with my decisions, but for now, don't worry.

Now about the *, to give you a bit of a scope on what's going on in my personal life, my mothers borderline crippled because of her arthritis. She's in bed all day everyday because she can barely (and I do mean baaaarrrreeelllyyy) move at all. I have to run errands for her, make food for her, give her the meds she needs (which aren't working tbh.) etc, etc. She kinda eats up all my energy and time because I already have low energy anyway thans to my depression, and having to get up and care for her every hour practically leaves me exhausted and not wanting to do anything else. If you've been in calls with me, this is why I go brb every few minutes. It's cause of her.

It's been a slow couple of months and quite frankly I just want a break, but I can't because of her, so I'm just kinda wasting away here. I try to push myself to draw, and do productive things, but god it's been hard. So if you're wondering when I'll be posting again, just know that's what's kind of in the way rn. I'l be working as hard as I possibly can, but I can't make any promises. It's rough and I've had several breakdowns.

Anyways, enough sad shit. Here's hoping I can make some art soon! And I apologize for the depressing update. Ik things will get better soon for me, I'm hoping they do anyway.

So, hey everyone, Marble here as usual lol (really wonder why I introduce myself like that). Anyways I'm here to deliver a pretty hefty amount of news for this update. Nothing bad, depressing or major (except for one thing), so don't worry.

First I want to explain why I've been so desolate the past few months. There has been a lot going on with my life both online and irl, and it's been taking heavy hits on my mental energy and capabilities like a motherfucker. I've been very stressed, having to deal with a lot of issues and drama popping up in my friend circles, as well as kinda sorta falling apart financially. I thought that the best way to cope with this was to start drawing, and that's why I started making plans to do all these things like requests and art trades.
This became a big mistake because I obviously wasn't mentally up for the task of doing art at all, let alone trades at the time (still aren't tbqh) and therefor bit off more than I could chew.
This resulted in me making trades with mutuals and taking months to even finish parts of a sketch for my part, having little to absolutely NO energy to start drawing at all for long weeks at a time, and so overwhelmed that the only thing I'd be able to do is sleep and play videogames.

It took me now (read: a few days ago) to kinda realize that the matters I have to deal with need to be dealt with first, and that I need to pace myself and tackle each individual matter one at a time. That's why I'll be a little quiet this month and you may not see some art from me.

However I do have plans to draw. The first thing I wanna do is draw some personal pieces for myself. Not only because I'd like to destress a bit while I deal with these matters, and it's a perfect time to actually draw the character concepts I had boiling/cooking in my brain for awhile, but it'll also help me get back into the swing of drawing and improve on some of my faults to better prepare for things like trades and commissions.

The species project is still being worked on, but I've decided to wait to release the species when the encyclopedia is finished, which will be awhile.

On the topic of commissions, that's where the whole financial bit comes in. I'm gonna push to open up commissions in the middle of this month because I, unfortunately, am running dangerously low on food, and I also need things like an air conditioner in my room because literally all summer so far has just been me being cooked in my own room like a pie in an over-heated oven. It's so goddamn miserable in here lmfao (thats another reason why I haven't been able to draw).
I'm gonna try and get the trades and personal pieces done first, then finish the preparations for said comms and open up. Thanks to a extraordinarily wonderful friend of mine, I have a working Paypal now, and can finally open up things like my kofi with a proper payment, which means I can actually accept donations! I'll see about opening up shinies later as well, but for now, I'll be updating my kofi to be able to accept donations (and maybe even themed kofi comms.!).
Requests that I owe will be pushed to August provided I get everything I need to done this month.

Lastly, I'd like to make a huge, thorough apology for...basically being shitty with empty promises and such. It wasn't ever my intention to just keep making plans only to fail at following through, and I'm working towards actually being able to follow through with the plans I make. I'll try not to let you all down again.

And to everyone who's been patient, kind, respectful, encouraging and overall super supportive of my slow ass, thank you all so very much. You all make me very happy and life wouldn't be nearly as fun or worthwhile without y'all! Again, thank you, and from the bottom of my heart,I love you very much.

Hello hello everyone! Happy May 3rd!!

I'm 2 days late and 2 dollars short on getting this update on the first, was literally writing this and had to do fuckin errands all day and other shit so there's that, but either way, here's Mays update!

So I wanna start off by saying that this month you're probably gonna be a liiiitle disappointed if you're a fan of my more original works, as this whole month will be dedicated to the things I owe other people. Things like unfinished gift art, art trades, requests, that's all gonna be handled this month. This is for a lot of reasons. The biggest one is that I wanna start showing my appreciation for all my friends, that and I'm also kind of tired of this fuckin backlog that I got lmfao.

Another reason is because I'm making way for June and July, which are gonna be 2 months that I'm dedicating to a personal project I've been kind of neglecting for like....a good while now. I'm not gonna tell too much, but essentially I've been working on preparations and fixings to make a long personal species of mine available to the public! There's also a massive encyclopedia I'm writing to go along with it, since there's a lot that this species entails, such as a whole-ass world, lots of different natural and artificial races, story beats, locations etc., so it's gonna take me a bit to but hopefully I'll be able to get a good chunk done in the next couple of months. Here's hoping lmfao.

That's about everything tbh. A little commission update, I'm still not too particularly ready to open up for commissions yet, but I do have a site that's nearly finished being set up. There's some important stuff that I'll be making a separate journal about, but we'll get there later.

I'm tired, and I know y'all are probably tired too, of me posting update journals and not following through.

In all seriousness, I do apologize if you're keeping up with my journals expecting art from me, only to get basically nothing. Truth be told I've been doing kinda terrible lately. A lot of things have been going on since the last update, such as me having to deal with a close friend ditching me, this current pandemic, issues relating to family etc. I took a hiatus in February because I really needed a social break to sort myself out and attend to some personal matters, and I had forgotten to update my FA to let you all know, and I'm sorry.

However I'm back and I'm planning on some stuff for mostly April, since March is almost through I guess lol.

First I wanna say that, while I didn't necessarily wanted to post them right now, I'm gonna put some character profile art and character related pieces I made awhile back in my gallery. They're kind of old, but since it's more focused on the character rather than the art itself, I'm not too worried about it. I do wanna provide a heads-up though!
These characters of mine are tied to lore that I haven't finished or posted yet. As such they won't have a description or anything until the lore itself is posted. So don't get confused when you see "Oh this character has no bio yet" or something. They have one, it's just a secret for now.

As for what's in store, I have a bunch of requests that I'm gonna be starting on over the month of April. There's like, what, 6? that I'll be starting on. Once they're done, I'll finally be able to start on commissions! I have some special commission plans in store, and I cannot wait to share them!

I'm gonna try to be more active art-wise. I want to get better at posting regularly, as well as improving my art in places and branching out. Once again I'd like to apologize for the huge absence, and will promise to try harder.

.....so that was a fuckin' lie.

What had ended up happening is that I had planned on doing a lot of personal art and projects for the month of January, because it was my birthday month and I was gonna work hard and all that. But I guess that I was so stressed out about a lot of personal things, that I didn't really get anything done that entire month and just rested myself, chilled out and hung with friends and family.

This month will be different however! Now that I've rested myself, I'm going to immediately get back to work on art, and try to churn out as much content as I can. I owe a lot of requests, and once I finish a good chunk of them, I'll be posting all the work from Twitter onto here!
However, I am DEATHLY slow at delivering/making art. It's been a curse I've had for many years, and a habit I'm working towards breaking. I will be slow, so please be patient with me regarding content!

I'd like to thank everyone for being extra patient with me, and for a whopping 16 total watchers! You guys are simply splendid people, and I thank you so much for watching me, even if I haven't made any content yet.

Good afternoon everyone! Idk if folks really read journals buuuut I just wanna post a small update for this FA since It is SUUUPER dead right now!!

Just wanna say that I am planning on filling this FA with content! It's not a mega priority since I have Twitter as well as Pillowfort to update too, but I will upload here, I promise!

I'm kind of waiting until I have a liiiiittle more art made to upload here. I have about, 2 pieces made but those are just character art at the moment, but I'm hoping to churn out some requests this week!
