So much going on this month! I've got a personal trip to Quebec on the 10th, and then a couple of conventions.

March 1--CAPCon! It will be my first time there. Karis (of Karis's Playground) will be there with me selling comics in the Market. If you're preparing to get a badge (or other commission) it helps a whole lot if you have a picture of your character on your phone for me to look at (rather than depending on the wi-fi to look it up while you're talking with me). And if you have an idea in mind, I'd love to hear it, or I can help you decide. If it involves video games in any way (costumes, consoles, etc.) I WILL NEED a specific reference, because I don't play video games myself.

I'll be available for badges and 8x10 sketches (in pencil, ink, or colour).
Some notes to keep in mind, so you can be kind to us artists!:

1) Have your character ref handy for us to view when you come for a commission, either a hardcopy or on your device (previous art is okay! doesn't need to be an official ref sheet). It makes things go ever so much smoothly!

2) We're not gamers, so we don't have any clue what your awesome costume looks like from your favourite video game. Please have ref pics ready to show us (instead of asking us to look it up on the internet).

3) Adding as much detail as you can think of may seem like an awesome idea, but it often ends up looking really cluttered on the page. It's best to focus on a particular idea. At the very least, be prepared to pay extra for details, as they take us a lot longer to draw (and to make sure we've got all the details right).

4) Our time is very limited at a convention, so while we may love to chat with you, we may not have the time to hear your character's backstory, or how they got their scar and when. We still love drawing your character :)

Whew, BLFC was a whirlwind! Arrived after midnight on Thursday, and left at 4:30 am on Monday. It was a great con, though—thanks so much to everyone who stopped by my table!

My next convention is coming up shortly: FurEh! In Edmonton is June 14-16. I’m taking ore-orders now for badges and sketches.
Then Anthrocon is coming up July 5-7 (my birthday weekend!). I’m taking pre-orders for AC as well, but I’ll give precedence to FurEh orders.

I’ll be taking a family vacation after AC, so with all the busyness, I’m closed for regular commissions for now. Actually, I’ll probably still take your commission if you email me and ask nicely, but I can’t say exactly when it will be done ;)
