I'm happy you've all been enjoying Goof Troop: Laundry Day! I know many of you are subscribed to me specifically for updates to it, so here's the lo-down on how it's coming behind the scenes.

-I currently have 20 pages completed and uploaded.
-I have 35 pages sketched and scripted.
-I intend for the comic to be about 50-60 pages in length. This is longer than I intended, but it's what works for my style of storytelling.
-I plan on prioritizing page sketches over the following months. Progress on finalized pages will slow slightly until all sketches are completed. Page sketches will be posted for $5 supporters to enjoy.

I'm still accepting financial support for this comic. Backers will get to see new content before anyone else, and will be credited in a dedicated page at the comic's end. Message me if you're interested.

Aside from the speech bubbles needing a visibility upgrade, I've noticed various errors I feel I should fix before moving forward. I'll make sure this is the last edit of the early chapters. I know for sure what this story is supposed to be now and I want the early chapters to reflect that newfound confidence.

Nothing bad happened to me, but I just felt hopeless. Just for a little bit. A lot of existential pain packed into a small moment. It happens to everyone, and I get the feeling it wasn't just me. Must've just been something in the air.

But I turned that pain into drive to get my work done, and I made some amazing stuff, despite most of the day being a wash. I love my job, and I could not be happier to have so many people rooting for me and my success. I hope to meet everyone's expectations.

I can't wait to share what I have this month with everyone, both with free users and members.

I had no idea this comic would take so long, but that's what bills, lack of planning, and being overall inexperienced in the production of comics gets you.

If you want to know why it took so long, here are some bullet points.

-I came up with a new art style that will allow me to work on pages much quicker while preserving the story's tone. It took me a while to commit to it.
-Echidna Nights and other commissions got in the way. Death's Metal isn't exactly a money maker yet.
-Procrastination born of fear. This is my passion project. Easy to get stage fright. But I'm almost 30 years old. I'm done waiting.

The pages will be uploaded soon, over the course of a week. I hope it's worth the wait. Chapter 5 will not take nearly as long, I promise.

Don't worry about the Death's Metal Patreon for now. When I can, I'm going to retool it to make Death's Metal more profitable for me.
