Posted 13 years agoI should have made a journal about this before, but forgot to do so. Anyways, I'm heading off to Atlanta for the YCS tournament there with my team. I don't know if I'm gonna do good or not, but we'll know when I get there.

Reports from April 3th Local Tournament.
Posted 14 years agoI could have post this last night, but after the tourney, I went to one of my friends place and stay there close to midnight. And when I got home, I was too tired to do this and went straight to bed.
Anyways, here's the duels of yesterday tournament.
Round One:

In the first round, I was up against a Six Samurai player, and, unfortunately, I got my butt handed to me. God, I hate playing against these deck. So annoying.

In the second round, I had to duel with a teammate in my team. We were both playing with machina decks, but he's a little different for he also uses karakuri and plant in his deck.

Third round and I'm having to duel against my own brother. *Gasp* D8
He used a frog variety of the monarchs, since it's popular these days. I only got one match recorded, because I wanted to be sure that I had room on my phone's SD card. But, in the end, I manage to win the second and third matches.

I made it to the Top 8, barely, and now dueling once again my teammate from Round Two. Unfortunately I didn't a god hand like in the first match in round two or got a decent hand in the second match, and I gotten bad hand in both matches. Because of that, I lost. There were a few errors I made that the judge and my friend allowed me to correct, but the outcome was the same.
Place in the Tournament: 8th place
So this time I got in 8th place. ever thou that I didn't get far, it was still pretty cool that I made it to the Top 8.
And this ends the report of April 3th Local Tournament. Now I'm thinking of making a new deck to play. My mind is on the "Fabled" arch-type right now, since I got a good amount of them and the support for them too. I mean Machina is awesome, but I've been playing it since couple weeks after the structure deck came out. And I'm sick and tired of Blackwing too, so I'm not going back to them (And beside, the current format isn't really doing any good with them anyways).

Back from YCS
Posted 14 years agoActually, I got home yesterday, but I was too tired to do anything and went straight to bed. So sorry for the delayed "I'm back" journal.
Back to the topic, I had a blast! Not including the six hour drive to Charlotte, SV, but a blast. When I got there, I was expecting little over hundred players there, but I was wrong. There were 40,000 players at the tournament! D8
I was overwhelmed at the number, but of course it was my very first time entering a big event and it was a championship tourney, so that makes sense. Like I'd said before, in a late journal, I'd ran Six Samurai, and did great in the first round. But at the second round and after that, I didn't do so well because of one major problem..., BAD HANDS!!! I couldn't get a decent hand in almost any duels, expect for a few duels, and at the time I'd start drawing good cards, it would be too late and my opponents would had something waiting for me. Solemn Judgment/Warnings, Bottomless Trap Hole, Effect Veilers, Thunder Kings, etc. So I had a bad case of luck with me. And it was the same with my older brother and all but one of my teammates.
And I have may overspent too. Before I left, I had two-hundred dollars in my wallet and when I got home, it's empty. o_o
Overall, I had fun. Lots and Lots of fun. Made friends, gotten cards, dueled other players, and even got some of my duels on the video camera in my phone. I'll be upload those sometime today. And I got some of my cards signed too. You can see them in my gallery.

Posted 14 years agoToday's the big day that the YCS tournament begin and I'm on my way. I am so nervous because this well be my very first huge tourney entry ever. I did a lot of local tourney in the past, but this is nothing compare to them. In my team, I'm gonna be using a Six-Samurai deck.

LET THE INFERNO BEGIN!!!
Posted 15 years agoI now have Dante's Inferno and playing it right now! And loving it too!
So far, no death and just beat the second boss, nearly died tho, and I'm being a holy bastard. My Holy level is already at three and I've Absolved all the damned soul I've come across, but I feel that I'm gonna Punish someone in the future.
That's it for now. I'm off to continue my battles down in Hell!
