Yeah, you heard that right folks.
I'm considering scrapping "Ash & Blake" a comic book project I was so ambitious to start after Midnight Fox. Mostly because what started as a comic book version of an 80s throwback buddy cop movie, turned into a mess. Like I was having a hard time writing the characters and their motivations/personalities and I kept changing the plot to make something that made more sense.
Regardless, the leads still came off as flat, and I focused too much on the story than having them developed.

So I might just shelve the project. Though I still hope one day I could do a buddy cop comic book with a GTA: Vice City vibe, but I need to learn how to write first.

Today I went to see the film, "Silent Night", John Woo's first Hollywood film since the early 2000's.

And ya know I actually really liked it. Okay, I will admit that the plot i kind of bare bones, and the premise is just a formulaic vigilante revenge tale that was likely ripped from a Punisher graphic novel, but I think it's a very inventive film.

I think the producers didn't want to make another John Wick but they also wanted to take it a step further than Die Hard's John McClane, with Joel Kinnaman's character, Brian Godlock as Godlock is an average dude who after a traumatic event begins to train himself to exact his revenge, learning to fight through YouTube videos, equipping himself with a Mossberg 500 and Beretta 92FS and learning to drive a Mustang like Steve McQueen.

Basically, Joel Kinnaman is supposed to be anything but an ex-marine, police officer or a terminator, but learns to be an action hero throughout the film, which i think is better than any superhero origin ever.

Anyway I think Silent Night is a decent picture and despite it's recycled plot, it still manages to be creative and hopefully it will be right up there with Christmas classics like Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Batman Returns.

So yesterday was my birthday, and boy did it really suck.

For starters my birthday was on Thanksgiving and as usual I had to play second banana to the holiday, and I couldn't do much because places are closed. My sister and her husband even filled the house with their friends from work, and I felt really uncomfortable because I didn't know anybody nor did I have anyone to talk to. It also made me feel really lonely cause it was just rubbing it in on how I'm still single nor do I have any friends of my own to bring to Thanksgiving.

Things were also kind of tense because earlier this week, my parents had an argument and were shouting at each other.

So yeah my birthday and thanksgiving sucked and I hate the fact that I've been alive for 27 years.

So I found out that insurance screwed me over and I had to pay a $320 dentist bill.

So I'm taking some commissions to help tide me over until I get paid on Friday.

That's right! The one movie everyone is so hyped up about did not impress me at all. Instead it gave me a huge ass headache.

it's just a really boring movie with weak storytelling, poorly developed characters, insane amount of exposition dumping, and terrible pacing.

If you guys like the movie, that's cool. I'm probably just not into these "sophisticated" drama films.
I don't find them entertaining.

So I spent $400 on a suit, got a haircut that I really hate, and a tie that I like but not allowed to wear.

It’s official. My baby sister thinks her only brother is not good enough to be apart of her wedding on Sunday.
