News regarding the Midnight Fox project
General | Posted 5 years agoHey so my current passion project, "Midnight Fox" it might be on hold for a while so me and my co-writers, JW Edwards and Beth can work out some of the stumbling blocks we came across.
For one, Midnight Fox might not be a fox anymore because the name "Midnight Fox" is already an existing property as it was the name of a novel by Betsy Byars released in the early 1970s. So essentially the story would remain the same but I don't know if we can use the name or keep the character Reed a fox.
Two, we also contemplated that while foxes are very popular in the community, they also have been overused in the media and done to death. (I'm looking at you Disney).
Plus I do admit that Scottytheman 's Ray Fox was a direct inspiration for Midnight Fox, I also didn't want to make it look like I'm ripping him off.
I'm not shelving the project entirely, because we worked so hard writing majority of the manuscript for the graphic novel, and like I said this was a passion project of mine that I really hope to get off the ground someday.

What if Shane Black wrote and/or directed a Die Hard sequ...
General | Posted 5 years agoIt's almost that time of year again, where we watch some of our favorite holiday specials.
What's your favorite? Mine is Lethal Weapon and the first two Die Hard movies.
So the purpose of this post is what if one of my favorite writers, Shane Black (the mind who gave us Lethal Weapon) wrote and directed a Die Hard sequel in the 80s or 90s? Well in my opinion it seems right up his alley, considering most of the movies are set at Christmas and Die Hard is the definitive Christmas action movie.
Well to start off the movie would (obviously) be set at Christmas and in Los Angeles CA. John McClane being somewhat of a celebrity after his adventures at the Nakatomi skyscraper and the Washington D.C. airport. Also considering most of Black's movies are buddy movies, maybe John would team up with a partner, like Sgt. Al Powell from the first movie joining him on his new case or maybe a new and younger police officer who idolizes McClane.
I mean it's just a theory but it's fun to speculate. What do you guys think?

It has not been a good week for me
General | Posted 5 years agoEnough said.
The World is just unfair
General | Posted 5 years agoSo I’m a little pissed because I just realized I was kicked out of a Discord group for a very stupid reason and they kept grilling me, making me sound like a monster when in actuality I did nothing wrong. They made me feel guilty for nothing.
My advice is don’t explode and make such a big deal over something so minor, OK?

The Lost Dirty Harry/Die Hard film
General | Posted 6 years agoThe 1988 action movie "Die Hard" was based on the 1975 novel, "Nothing Lasts Forever".
Rumor has it that when Clint Eastwood was making it big as a director, he bought the film rights to the novel in the mid-80s and wanted to make his own version that would have been more true to the book. However it never seen the light of day.
Even though the script seemed like less "crawling through vents, action fighting 80's cop movie fun", it seemed more like "modern western gritty thriller" or "Dirty Harry in a skyscraper".
Though the movie never went into production, I would honestly like to see Clint's take on it.
Even if it just seemed like an old man walking into a building held hostage and blowing terrorist away with his .44 Magnum. XD

I saw Avengers: Endgame (Don't worry no Spoilers).
General | Posted 6 years agoWell on Monday I saw Avengers: Endgame and I honestly think its the best Marvel has to offer.
Like this is a perfect way to wrap up the MCU. (OK we still have that Spider-Man movie coming up but still). I really liked Endgame because of a variety of reasons. I mean one it's awesome seeing Hawkeye join the Avengers again because it kind of was a buzz kill that he wasn't in Infinity War. Also it's great to see Ant-Man finally join the Avengers, I mean ever since I saw Captain America: Civil War I just really wanted to see Ant-Man fight along side with them.
He's probably my favorite after Captain America.
Rocket Raccoon was great in the movie too. I mean it's kind of hilarious seeing him being a total smart ass to the team. Plus Thor has his own funny moments in the movie as well. And Captain America defiantly proves why he is the most worthy leader of the Avengers. Because no other character has patriotic heart and and courage than Steve Rogers. It's sad that this maybe Chris Evans last time being Cap.
A few other things I loved about this film is the epic climatic battle with Thanos, (I almost cried tears of joy seeing it) and Stan Lee's (final) cameo. (Rest in Peace Stan)
So yeah, Avengers Endgame. GO SEE THIS FUCKING AMAZING MOVIE!!!

The Thing about modern Metal bands.
General | Posted 7 years agoI have been excepted in an inner circle of Metalheads. But from what I have noticed there is a theme on which modern subgenre is the most defining sound of the current millennium, Black Metal and Doom Metal.
See people believe that Black metal and some Death metal is the most dominant because it it takes Heavy Metal to the extreme as well as help the genre retreat back underground as well as keeping the scene from becoming a trendy commercialized fad.
Doom Metal has also been the most unique genre of the new millennium. What I like about it is how it shows respect to the earliest bands with their fascination with weed and the occult. Some of the new bands that I like sound alot similar to Black Sabbath, albeit with a more slower and heavier sound.

Why I think the Spider-Man reboot is better
General | Posted 7 years agoNow before I get started this is not a hate/attack on people who liked the original Sam Rami trilogy, this is just my thoughts and opinions on the films of the popular Marvel Comics Super hero.
1. The Web Shooters.
The Sam Rami films did not go into detail about Peter Parker. I mean the most annoying thing was how people think Spider-Man can shoot webs on his own. I mean in the comic books he does wear a web slinger gadget on his wrist, which they actually got right in the Reboot and the MCU. Even Stan Lee commented on it saying how much better the mechanical web shooters on his wrist. saying it would make the story more interesting, if either of them broke or ran out of ammo. So the Reboot was a little more true to the original comics.
2. The Female Lead.
I'm just gonna say it, MARY FUCKING JANE SUCKS!!!!! I mean she was just their to be constant damsel in distress, or make Spider-Man look good. She is not a character at all, she's just a character's girlfriend. Gwen Stacy was way better than stupid broad, because Gwen actually has a brain, she's not there to be eye candy, she actually does help Peter when it comes to fighting the bad guys, not just to sit on the side lines giving support or saying stupid phases like "Go get 'em, Tiger". I mean Gwen actually is an interesting character. Plus the romance between Mary Jane and Peter in the old films was too forced, as if they were trying way too hard. I could even go as far as saying Gwen and Peter are down right adorable. I know it was a little upsetting to see Gwen get killed off in the sequel, but it was only staying true to the comic books.
3. Tobey Maguire was nothing but a cry baby.
Yeah Maguire makes Spider-Man look like a sissy. I know I know, even grown men cry too because being sad is an emotion and I will admit even I shed some tears at my weakest moments. But Maguire just cries almost all the time in those movies. I'll bet if he was in Infinity War, he would probably cry and plead for mercy if he came face to face with Thanos.
I mean Andrew Garfield was better because he actually just sucks it up and take it like a man. Like we don't wanna see Spider-Man sob his way through a battle, we want to see him come out on top like the confident and triumphant super hero he really is. I mean no offense to any of you who are fans of Tobey "Mag-Cryer".
4. Spider-Man 3 nearly ruined Venom for me.
There was a time when I thought Venom was the most bad ass villain in the comic books. Like Eddie Brock was the buff jock like vengeful bad guy. The comic books portray the oppression, pain and anger he goes through, that will motivate him to become the villain/anti-hero we all know and love. But then Spider-Man 3 happened, and Like Tobey Maguire, Topher Grace made the character look like a total pansy with his cry baby moments.
I am really hoping Tom Hardy will do Eddie Brock/Venom justice in the upcoming Venom movie, coming out this October.
5. The Reboot stays true to the comic book.
Because in the original comics, Peter Parker was an average teenager, going through typical high school drama. Gwen was Peter's first love interest, Uncle Ben was actually a decent father figure instead of being there to be grandfatherly, the web shooters, just everything.
I mean if you are adapting a comic book into a movie, please actually try and stay true to the original source please.
Anyway that's all I have to say. Thank you.

Good News and Bad News
General | Posted 7 years agoGood News is I went to the dentist and they said I have healed well enough to have the stitches, so I also might go back to work this month, and maybe eat normally again without having to cut my food into really small portions.
the Bad news is my insurance didn't cover my bill today, and they completely cleaned out my account. So I'm gonna have to start charging commissions at full price, maybe even higher. Just until I go back to work that is.
So if you guys wanna buy a commission send me a note please.

My Ophidiophobia
General | Posted 8 years agoFor anyone who doesn't know, I have a horrible phobia of snakes. It started when I was 8 years old and me and dad went camping by the creek, and a giant diamondback rattlesnake slithered towards me while we were packing up the jeep.
And my dad kept tossing rocks at it, so he could take a photo of it, only to have it irritated and hiss loudly.
Ever since then I never wanted to go out hiking unless me or Dad have our guns, because where I'm from, snakes are literally every where. :(
