First steps on FA
General | Posted 4 years agoSo, today has concluded my first day on FA since I created my account.
Typically, I've been spending the majority of my day browsing the artwork that has been displayed by the various artists that make up this large and wide-ranging community. Although, I admit I did so in SFW mode. Nothing against those who prefer NSFW mode, but I'm just not here for that; I'm happily married with a wife I love and adore, so feel no need to go into that sphere.
During my time browsing, I commented on a piece by CountryhumanscreatorGraceMC: . It featured a lovely illustration of Russia in a Tsarist Military Uniform, perfectly done and well researched, I praised the piece. (part of this journal has been edited by myself on recommendation from FA administration) I now 'watch' Grace and have praised her artwork on her own page. Lesson Learnt!
Whilst also browsing the pieces of art and commenting on some I liked, I became aware of a 'nudity' about my own profile, in that I had neglected to add any details of myself or my fursona. The most abrasive part being a default paint-pot as a profile Icon. I have since been spending rest of the day looking for an artist who could make one in the style I most enjoy.
I'm pleased to say that I have found one and in the process of discussing the commission for the piece.
A lovely, promising, first step on my FA Journey.

First post! About Me & my fursona!
General | Posted 4 years agoHi anyone who reads this,
My name is MarquisAlex, but in real life, I am also known as "Wolf" or "Wolfie" by my wife and friends. :)
I've been married since 10-10-2020 during a small break between UK lockdowns and been happily married ever since.
I have a deep love of history, I'm somewhat of a History Polymath, reading widely on any sphere, from military to medicine, dark age to present day. My favourite period happens to be 19th century world history. My favourite field being financial history.
I happen to have a rare form of colour-blindness, known as Scotopic sensitivity, meaning I see colours at different speeds.
Depending on the colour, which can be fast at opposing ends of the spectrum, and slower in the middle, I need a little more time than others to adjust my vision. But not by much, especially with a colour filter.
I also suffer from a weaker left eye, which has often led to a small joke that a require a pink lensed monacle from the opticians!
I relate on a personal level as a furry, but keep up societal standards, despite my own personal feelings on the matter.
So what's my fursona?
Have a guess.
Yep, it's an intellectually dressed Anthro Wolf with rose-tinted monacle! Specifically a Northwestern Wolf, with brown eyes and a somewhat wry grin
Hope to see comments soon. :)
