General | Posted 2 years agoLet's say i were to do a couple expansion themed YCHs? One themed around bewbs and the other around rumps? Not 100% sure on the price yet. Would you be interesting in purchasing one?
My Stance on AI
General | Posted 2 years agoSo i wanna make this clear from the beginning. I don't have any issues with AI artwork so long as its properly tagged and labeled as such.
My number 1 issue is seeing artists using AI to generate and post hundreds of images and not labeling or disclosing a single one as AI art. Its deceitful and you know what you're doing. Moreover i keep seeing more and more people selling AI commissions for dirt cheap and still not disclosing that its AI generated. I have NOTHING against legally making money, a ballers gotta eat, but you need to be transparent about your product.
I see AI as a powerful tool, especially as it continues to be refined. Its a great tool especially for learning new skills like programming, writing, even art if used in a constructive way and used to AID the creative process.
The problem is we have people who are using AI to REPLACE the creative process instead of aiding it. The comparison i like to make is with pizza.
Using AI to generate images and posting them as if you did the work is the same thing as ordering a pizza and saying you cooked it. Sure, you went through the effort to order it, and you even paid for it, but you didn't make it. However you still threw the box it came in away and told all your dinner guests you made it. Its even more deceitful when you charge people for that pizza without telling them you ordered out.
You can't cook. Fine, what is wrong with telling the truth about it? "Sorry guys, I'm a lousy cook, but hey, i ordered Dominos!". Far less people would judge you if you were open about your terrible cooking skills.
I know what some people will say. "Well, if i disclose its AI art, no one will like it or support me!". Yes, there is currently a stigma with AI art or even using AI in your process. However, you don't remove stigma by manipulating and lying to people. You remove stigma by being open and honest about what you are doing. You remove stigma by showing people the good that can come from what you are doing. The idea that you can get around stigma by using deceit and lies is just absurd and its immoral.
Using AI isn't illegal, so why do you feel the need to hide it? Its because you are aware of the stigma and you want a fast track to success and engagement in your content. I'm always for working smarter not harder, but not if it means lying and manipulating your customers.
I am not against AI or the use of it in the creative process. I just see it as another tool in the tool box that has the potential to make our lives easier and with the right use, it can streamline the creative process and allow us to make bigger and better things faster and more efficiently. However, i am against lying and manipulation. If you aren't being transparent about what you are doing, you are part of the problem and you are the reason why the stigma continues to grow.

General | Posted 2 years agoFor anyone curious, i typically wont be doing anymore subscribe star releases of commissions i get hired for unless its a special project. Commissions will typically be publicly released shortly after the job is done.
Whereas personal projects and the like will be released to SS first.

General | Posted 3 years agoOh yea, forgot to mention. Found out the other day that i lost 40 pounds. Guess cutting back and walking more often has helped. Not to mention, budgeting my food bill since quitting my job probably played a role as well.
Im almost under 300. Now i know that still sounds like a lot but, for the record, like 140 of that is in my penis.
