Fun fact about me
Did you know I make a journal entry once every 3 years on average? I guess it's time.Fun fact about you
If you remember me - wow you're old! But then again congrats on being still around and kicking, yay for you.Not so fun fact about Flash
So, the Flash apocalypse finally happened. It's been scheduled for a couple of years now, but I never really put much thought into it in regards to my works here on FA. The days since I had time to make Flash porn are long gone; I also realized how pitiful my drawing skills were and how they were not improving overtime, so I really didn't think much of the whole thing. And here we are in 2021. Most of my Flash porn is ruined and lost forever - oh well, maybe that's for the best, major part of that stuff was really crappy anyway. You can still access it all in theory, instead of deleting I moved it to an appropriate folder in the gallery, but like I said - most of that stuff is totally useless and broken now, especially wherever I used masking layers or a specific movie-clip based way to control the flow of the animation. I can't really do anything about those.Is this loss?
Kinda. I mean I'm not super happy about it. I've learned a lot while working on those silly things. Those animations and games were mostly of embarrassing quality, let's be honest, but still it was something I made and thus it felt personal. But like with all the loss in life, there is time of grief and time to move on. And I'm moving on.So... will I post stuff?
I'll be honest: it's not likely. My life was busy in my younger days and now - over 13 years after joining this website - I can hardly imagine myself finding the time to do anything worth posting. So if you're looking to trim down your watch list - I won't hold a grudge against you if you unfollow me now.I might still post art that I've gotten from others - as gifts or commissions - but like I said, it's rather unlikely I will post my own work here.

I've stepped away from the furry community as a whole; I limited my contacts to a handful of friends. I still consider myself a furry, but not necessarily a part of the community.Not sure if I have anything more to add here.
Fox and I
Hey so other news, I've changed my fursona. Oh boy oh boy this might turn into a longer rant. A fox was with me for a nice couple of years and the more time has passed the more I understood how mismatched choice it was. Marvin the fox was a character I created to deal with numerous problems of - well - mental nature. Bright colors, tight revealing clothes, gay to the brim. More gay than I ever was or - probably - wanted to be. Exaggerated in a comical way. Was it someone I desired to be? Or maybe a completely opposite side of the spectrum of who I was?I can already tell it's going to be a long rant. tldr: me no good fox
Without going into personal details here, I had some rather unpleasant experiences that were direct results of some of my terrible life choices tied to me trying to pursue that other personality, someone that I never truly was and - as it turned out - never really wanted to be.Shame it took so long to realize simple stuff like that. Then again, we all learn from our mistakes and grow as people.
And no, I wouldn't say fox was a mistake as a whole; I needed that. He was the counterweight, a mental relief, a way to escape. Not sure if I can find the right words to describe it. It worked, it kept me sane (to some degree). I think the problem started once that "fox personality" started trying to become more than just a background and didn't find enough space to fit. It's like with roleplaying games - if you're smart and try to play a dumb character it's fine, but rarely works the other way.
Sheesh, why am I even writing all this stuff.
Anyway, the fox is not my main anymore.
I've decided to join the ranks of the ungulates.
"Decided" is a bad word here; it just came naturally, I think. Sometimes you just feel the direction you want to follow, without even fully knowing why, right?
Why a horse
You're going to be mistaken if you say "because huge cock lol". And I'm going to sound cliché if I say "no, it's the personality". But of the two of us, I am the one that knows what's in my head so there were are.There is a whole set of layers of traits that just fit me much better and I feel more comfortable without pretending to be someone else. It's a lot of... relief? Alright, so what traits? I won't deny it's otherwise: I'm pretty easily intimidated (or dominated) and it's not difficult to scare me away. I run away more often than I fight back. Horses forgive but don't forget. Horses must feel safe - and I can't stress this enough, I can't think straight for shit if there is literately anything that upsets me at any time. Horses are stubborn and sometimes straight out mean. They can become self-destructive while trying to overcome their own weaknesses. They can be social but also can keep to themselves.
Yeah, I guess there is also a matter of physicality: I realize that my "twink days" are long gone and while I actually managed to lose some (a lot?) of weight and try to keep myself in nice shape, I gained some (not much but still) muscle and I feel like a heavy-hooved horse is a better fit for a middle-aged man I am.
There is more, but it would get more personal; and it already got far more personal (and lengthy) than I anticipated. So let's leave it at that.

Horse Slave update(s)
Posted 13 years agoFor anyone who has already seen my latest Flash: I've done some updates in it!
You can now chose between human/horse style nose, character blinks and some glitches were removed.
If you want to take another look at it: make sure to check version number.
The first version didn't have a version number visible, new ones have a number in bottom right corner - so if it's not there you need to clear your cache and refresh.
There might be some other updates for this Flash if it's needed :)

Everything was fine and life was very good for the farmer, except for one thing: someone was stilling chickens from his hen house during the nighttime.
This was happening almost every night, over and over again.
One day farmer said: "Enough of this!", and decided to hide in his hen house for the night to see who was stealing the chickens.
He waited patiently until a smart little fox showed up.

The BIG important news is - I've moved and now I'm living with my boyfriend Arti, so BIG YAY for me! ^___^ or should I say - "for us" o,o

Any furry browser-based games out there?
Posted 15 years agoI was wondering if there are any kind of furry-themed browser-based games out there.
Now to make things clear, browser-based game is not a Flash game. I mean it may have Flash elements but that's not just that.
A browser-based game is a turn based multiplayer game that takes ages to play, where you build your town/exp your character and then get owned by a random no-life player that has been playing this game since our Solar system was formed.
Anyway the main advantage of those games is that you don't have to spend your entire time with it and still get involved somehow. You know, you just sit back and relax/work/learn and every 10 or so minutes you alt+tab to the game and click the "go exploring" or "build structure" button.
The good examples of browser-based games are: Ogame or Farmville (I guess, I never played it but since it's on Facebook it's browser based I guess).
Well it would seem that browser games cover every possible idea - space colonization, tribe wars, vampires, mechas, mafia wars - and so on. So I was just wondering... is there some kind of furry game like that? Please skip Bitefight - let's not talk about Bitefight.
I've been playing Dino RPG (http://en.dinorpg.com/) but it's more like neopets or pokemon rather than furry.
It would be fun to play something where you can chose an antrho-race... Or perhaps a game made by someone inside furry community, dedicated for furries?
Again - I'm asking for browser based games, skip all MUDs, WoW and Second Life stuff - I don't have much time for my First Life, not to mention any Second one.

# Visible penises may be retractable/sheathed, but must otherwise appear human.
It's not very clear to me... Can one upload furry stuff there or not? O_o I saw some artists from FA there but I've also heard about y!Gallery banning lots of users, including
anthony2008 (well OK he is not banned any longer). So... "appear human" means no horse cocks or what :< ?

Posted 16 years agoSo yeah... my last journal was like "Happy Halloween" so it's time to change it I guess :P
Anyway... I've been a bit absent lately. Same reason as always - lack of time. Sometimes I feel like I'm living my life in a Fast Forward mode, damn I wish I could just sit and do nothing for a while :P
Well... to tell the truth, I did. I spent a lovely whole week with my boyfriend and some of our friends. We've rented a house in a remote location and had lots of time for ourselves. We were playing board games, RPG, Dance Dance Revolution, Singstar, etc. By the way, one of my friends is a girl (YES A FEMALE! 8D) who is an extreme yaoi fangirl. So imagine her sneaking to watch me and my boyfriend kissing, with a wide smile on here face. Oh boy... It was weird :p I'm telling you some yaoi fans love gayness more than most of gays do :P
Do you have some similar funny or maybe annoying experience with yaoi fangirls? What do you think about them? ^^
So it was great fun, but also it was a tiring trip and I came back rather exhausted instead of rested ^_^"
So I've decided to have a lazy week away from everything. Unfortunately, there's a price to pay for that - all my school projects are way behind schedules and now I'm rushing to finish them on time. That's why there are no more Dancing Avatar commissions at the moment, and that's why I haven't yet finished my next Flash.
I'm hoping to have some more free time in a two or three weeks, when semester ends.

Facing the fact that I would disappoint about 50% of the people interested in getting a dancing avatar I've decided to expand the number of slots to 10.
All the slots are already taken, coz I put there people who were PMing me yesterday.
So if you sent me a message about an avatar yesterday, check the list now.
Be noticed, making so many avatars will take me at least 2 weeks so you have to be patient.

Ever heard of Steve Conte? Erm... no? The Seatbelts? Does it ring any bell to you?
Well The Seatbelts was a Japanese blues and jazz band led by Yoko Kanno, created to record a soundtrack for Cowboy Bebop anime series. Steve Conte was a guest vocalist in that band and together they've produced some really wonderful music.
I like it so much that I can say without any doubts that Steve Conte singing anime songs is the best thing I've ever heard.
Funny thing is, I've never heard any of his "regular" songs and I did hear only very few anime songs of his at all. But well I just love what I've heard.
So today I just had this random thought to share it with you. If you are interested, just follow the youtube links :)

This is my FAV SONG EVER. It's just a masterpiece for me and I absolutely love it. I get this strange but positive feeling of comfort every time I listen to it. It's just so warm and full of hope! I also used to listen it when I was doing some jogging few years ago and I think it's really good for running.
Honestly, I think this piece has found a very special place in my heart and it's never going to leave it.

Another great piece. This one is more sad and thoughtful. It's like you've done something wrong and you try to say sorry, but the person doesn't actually want to listen. But in the end of the song it seems that there's still hope.
I like the way the phrase "If only I could call the rain to melt and wash away the pain you feel I would" is being sung.

This one is from one of the Ghost in the Shell series (not the movies). Actually I've never seen it but I just randomly found the song few years ago. It reminds me of the person I love since I was listening to that piece quite often when we were building our relationship. I also remember there was lots of snow back then.

This is very, very, very moody and thoughtful piece. As it starts with slow notes it builds a sad atmosphere of lost hopes... Only to blow at 3:10 with a Grande Finale that will make you cry. I'm not an emo person but this song just squeezes tears out of me sometimes.

Quite unique song, presenting only an acoustic guitar and Steve Conte singing. He sings about some people wanting more and more, that never reach satisfaction with anything and people that don't have much but just love what they got. I like this philosophy of life.

This one may be hard to listen to some of you - it has nothing but a church organs, electric guitar and lyrics. There is also a version with a female voice singing. You can mix Conte's and the other version together and have them singing in duet! I did it once and it sounded really good.
As I recall this song it reminds me of "The Dark Tower" novels by Stephen King. I just used to listen to the Rain while reading sometimes and it now just sticks to my mind as a "Gunslinger's theme". I think it fits very well, regarding the fact that Spike from Cowboy Bebop was kinda gunslinger.
There is a huge blank space between number 6 and 7 in this list. I just happen to love all 1-6 songs listed here. The rest... well I like them also, but I don't listen to them very often.

Ever heard of Steve Conte? Erm... no? The Seatbelts? Does it ring any bell to you?
Well The Seatbelts was a Japanese blues and jazz band led by Yoko Kanno, created to record a soundtrack for Cowboy Bebop anime series. Steve Conte was a guest vocalist in that band and together they've produced some really wonderful music.
I like it so much that I can say without any doubts that Steve Conte singing anime songs is the best thing I've ever heard.
Funny thing is, I've never heard any of his "regular" songs and I did hear only very few anime songs of his at all. But well I just love what I've heard.
So today I just had this random thought to share it with you. If you are interested, just follow the youtube links :)

This is my FAV SONG EVER. It's just a masterpiece for me and I absolutely love it. I get this strange but positive feeling of comfort every time I listen to it. It's just so warm and full of hope! I also used to listen it when I was doing some jogging few years ago and I think it's really good for running.
Honestly, I think this piece has found a very special place in my heart and it's never going to leave it.

Another great piece. This one is more sad and thoughtful. It's like you've done something wrong and you try to say sorry, but the person doesn't actually want to listen. But in the end of the song it seems that there's still hope.
I like the way the phrase "If only I could call the rain to melt and wash away the pain you feel I would" is being sung.

This one is from one of the Ghost in the Shell series (not the movies). Actually I've never seen it but I just randomly found the song few years ago. It reminds me of the person I love since I was listening to that piece quite often when we were building our relationship. I also remember there was lots of snow back then.

This is very, very, very moody and thoughtful piece. As it starts with slow notes it builds a sad atmosphere of lost hopes... Only to blow at 3:10 with a Grande Finale that will make you cry. I'm not an emo person but this song just squeezes tears out of me sometimes.

Recent things in my life - some boring stuff about me

Anyway. For the last 3 weeks I've been working for some local web developing company. It's not a regular job, more like an apprenticeship. I mean it's a job practice that is required by a university, so you have to work usually 1 or 2 months and usually for free just to have proper papers and be able to graduate in the future.
Of course if you are a really good student you can find yourself a big company that will offer you a long-term apprenticeship that is well paid.
The company I work for is not paying me, unfortunately, but I don't care since it's one month job anyway. So I'm working there as a... oh go ahead and guess :P
Flash programmer, yay ^^ And it kicks ass. I totally love it, I feel that I'm doing something that really brings me satisfaction.
The worst thing is the way to and back from that place. It takes me 1.5 h to get there, and another 1.5 hour (+ traffic jams) to get back home. It's a full time job so to sum it all up the whole thing consumes about 11-12 hours every day.
Because of that I don't really have much free time so don't expect any new Flashes from me this month. When I come home I'm too exhausted to deal with anything that requires intense brain activity :P
For the other news. I'm probably going to quit my other job, which is more like a part-time job, but that's a longer story.
The job is about looking after some computer related stuff and just making sure that everything is working there fine. So theoretically it's a great job, you just have to sit at home, check via the Internet if everything is fine, only from time to time you have to actually do something like change or add something... and you get some money for that.
But thats a theory. The truth is that the Internet control program breaks every time you need it, you have to go there (no bus tickets or car fuel refund), find a reason and fix it. Everybody blame you if something is not working, even if it's just software's or hardware's failure. You are responsible for a lot more things than they've told you that you'll be. You constantly grumble about things not being done as they should and you have to do them yourself even if it exceeds your responsibilities but you need to do it in order to do your normal job.
I've been working there for almost a year now and I became kind of emotionally connected to the system I've been overseeing. You know, I feel responsible for it, I treat it like something that belongs to me (although it doesn't). So the decision about quiting wasn't easy despite the fact that this work costs me lots of nerves and stress and isn't paid very well.
Anyway I've been asked to think it over and I'm going to... but probably I won't change my mind.
That means less money for me but more time that I can use to master my flash skillz :P or to go out and have a life :P
OMG that's a long journal. If you are still reading my crippled English grammar - congratulations you've unlocked a Patient Fan Achievement :P
OK, last one thing before I go to sleep (2:10 AM here). If you are using MS Windows, would you be interested in having a screen saver made of my most recent Flash (Petting Arthien - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2503593) ?

Of course swf files are scalable... But if you scale them in wrong proportions, odd things may happen. Usually empty bars will appear on the sides or up/bottom.
For example think of vertically-oriented flashes. If it was 300x600 it'll now be 200x400 with two 200px wide blank bars - one on each side.
Moreover, some flashes may have objects that move across the screen from one side to another, appearing and disappearing by scene's edges. But when the flash is scaled with wrong proportions, the object may be seen when it shouldn't be.
My animations are usually sized 640x480. It's not that bad, huh? But look at that: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1761286 :/
