Con tour
General | Posted 12 years agoThis year's journey is almost at an end. I've been to Las Vegas for Las Pegasus Unicon, Seattle for Sakura Con, Los Angeles for Equestria L.A. and will be returning to Seattle for Everfree Northwest and PAX. It has been an interesting past 9 months as in that time I also attended last year's Everfree Northwest, Rainfurrest and Midwest Furfest.
I do not know what next year will bring, but it is something I need to already start considering.

Happy Birthday to me...
General | Posted 12 years agoNever all that fun when it lands on a weekday like this, it really will just be another day for me. That is alright, I had a nice little get-together with the family on Saturday. It was the first weekend in awhile where I did not have anywhere to be, so it was nice to just relax at home and visit with everyone while we watched movies and ate pizza. I did treat myself Sunday by going on and buying a couple Star Wars Lego sets I have been putting off, I will probably spend part of tonight, after work, building them. Oh, my brother also picked me up a copy of Bioshock Infinite, which I am loving this game so far and wish I had more free time to just sit and play. Sunday was also a meetup with some of the local bronies, the idea was to raid Build-A-Bear, which we did but only three people ended up building one of the pony plushies. I totally would have myself, however it appears that every store in the area was sold out of Rainbow Dash. Now, I do not necessarily have anything against Pinkie Pie, but she is not the one I went there for so I just passed, for now. Mind you, if they did have Dashie, I would of gotten them both. Oh well, I did at least get to pick up the Hot Topic Variant of issue #5 of the MLP:FIM comic, the one with Trixie and the Ursa on the cover.
Over all, it was just a very nice weekend and I am hoping for a nice quite night after work.

To Vegas or Bust!
General | Posted 13 years agoAll packed and heading to bed soon. I have an early flight to catch, so saying goodnight and goodbye now. To those I might also be heading that way, I will see you there.
Las Pegasus Unicon
General | Posted 13 years agoI'll be flying out Thursday morning. See who I will see.
MFF and beyond.
General | Posted 13 years agoI did a piss poor job with my supposed attempt to track and post my time at Midwest Furfest. How bad exactly? Well, that con was a week ago. I'm not going to go into full detail of my day to day activities during the con, but I will say that I did indeed have a good time. Having missed going to one of my favorite furry cons, Furry Weekend Atlanta, earlier this year do to poor scheduling at work and my growing disappointment in the local con, Rainfurrest, I wasn't really looking forward MFF. Being a fresh experience, a fairly well con and plenty of fellow bronies to hang out with I was genuinely surprised at how much fun I did end up happening and has me all that much more eager for the next pony convention I visit.
I have no real plans to return to this con, nor really any other furry convention. While there is a decent amount of bronies to keep things interesting, I have moved beyond the furry fandom at large and just consider it part of my over all geek culture background. Another factor is how much of my personal time I have been investing in the brony community, I honestly feel there is much good to be done there and want to do my part to help it grow and flourish.
Currently my next con will be Las Pagasus Unicon this coming February. I have my ticket and room is booked, still looking for potential room mates though. More than likely I will be signing up as a volunteer soon as I get there. EverfreeNW is still my local con and the one I am most invested in, with several trips planned to visit Seattle to help with getting things planned out as well as our fundraising efforts. EFNW is not till July and there is still EquestriaLA that I might attend, which is looking like might be in may. Still no word about when BronyCAN might be, but I just might try and get myself to Bronycon in August, still undecided and I am curious Midwestria as well. Though, no matter which cons I end up attending I plan to do my part and actually be involved with the behind the scenes rather than just be an attendee.
There are a few non-pony cons I want to attend, most of them in Seattle, or here in Portland, but we shall see if that is a possibility. More than just it being a time issue with my vacation days, but also having the money to travel will determine what I am able to do through out next year.

Misadventures at MFF Day 1
General | Posted 13 years agoMy flight out Portland was on time and I made into Chicago as planned. I was so hungry and felt a need for a drink, but ignored all the vendors as best I could to press on the long journey to the O'Hare's baggage claim. One I retrieved my belongings I found my way to a shuttle to take me to the hotel, one that would prove to be filled with furries.
Once at the hotel I met up with the others I am staying with so I could drop off my bags then we all went down to get something to eat. After a simple meal I made way down to pre-reg, one less hassle I will have to deal with tomorrow. There are a few planned events for tonight, but I am pretty worn out right now and am going to at least take a nap, though I doubt my night is over and still have the weekend to look forward to.

MLP:FiM Season 3 Premier
General | Posted 13 years agoI am so very bad about updating my journals.
Took off from work early on Friday to catch the bus up to Seattle and met up with the local bronies up there for a fun night on the town. Not even fully sure when we made it over to a Ryan's place with Josh and Matt crash, someone said we did not get to bed till almost 5am. Despite that, I still woke up feeling pretty good and after a quick breakfast stop at Jack in the Box we got something set up to stream the premier, took us awhile but eventually got it working.
While tempted to post my review of the episodes with all the heated debates popping up, what I will say is that while I also did feel a little disappointed that King Sombra was not more fleshed out as a character, rather than being more like the personification of darkness and fear, I still loved everything over all.
After the premier we decided it was time to part ways, saying thanks and goodbye to Ryan. Josh was nice enough to give Matt and I a ride over to our hotel, since we were still staying another night, but Josh had other plans with some local friends. It was nice to finally get a shower, I will say that right now. After getting settled and cleaned up, we went and got a quick dinner at the near by Denny's before heading on over to Redclaw's, who was having his own premier party.
I have to say that Red's party was the most fun I had all weekend, truly was the highlight and glad I went. His place was a lot larger than I was expecting, and my eyes went wide at the professional looking bar. Matt had done his fair share of drinking Friday night, though I had gotten to the gathering late so did not have quite as much, but boy howdy did I make it up Saturday. So as songs, remixes, episodes of Magic is Witchcraft and finally last season's finally played I had very few moments were a drink was not in hand as I mingled around, meeting new faces but also saying some friends like Max Coyote and Talryk, aka Cloud Chaser.
By the time of the premier I was pretty damn wasted and I think that I was even more emotionally than when it ran in the morning and I loved it all still the same. It was getting on the late side when everything was said and done and even though the party was still going for a little longer, Matt and I needed to say our goodbyes and catch the train back to our hotel room, which we did not last very long before crashing hard.
Sunday morning was pretty simple, we cleaned up, packed and got some breakfast before checking out. I had my bus to catch downtown and Matt had one to catch to take him out to Everett, as there was an after party up there at the AFK Tavern. As the train came to my stop we parted ways and I made my way back to Portland. No matter how much fun I ever have on any of my trips, it is always nice to come back home and sleep in my own bed.
Till next time, stay brony my friends.

Random Pony OC Creation
General | Posted 13 years agoHello everypony,
I have been feeling the itch to make some random OC’s. What I would like is for you all to name any job, career, hobby or pastime and I will create a pony based on that using the pony creator. After I have a few I’ll have people vote for their favorite and commission an artist to bring them to life.
I am considering putting any OC’s made for this up for adoption, if anyone finds they particularly like a design. Once the pony is yours, you

Possible Con schedule for 2013
General | Posted 13 years agoThe end of the year is drawing close and I will be able to submit vacation requests for next year soon. I've been keeping on eye on some possible conventions I might want to attend, trying to keep it mostly to those on the west coat area, or at least close by.
I probably wont go to all of these, but these are the cons I want to attend for next year. Part of the decision will be what time I can get off, if I can find roommate for the hotels and when then heck BronyCAN will actually be held. I would like to help staff the con, but I really need to know when it will be so I can get the time off ahead of time, just like with Everfree.

Am I falling in love?
General | Posted 13 years agoI do believe I am. (^///^) I found a pretty pink pony I care deeply for and am very attracted to. She seems to feel the same way so I am banking on this being more than a passing crush. We are both a little scared, having been hurt in the past and even though our desires are pushing us to move quickly into the relationship, we have talked and are doing our best to take things slow.
I so hope I get to see her soon, she only lives a few hours away. I want to hold and love on my special pony more than anything I am in no rush for more.

Got it bad and crushing hard on a very sweet, talented, smart and sexy girl. There is no real logic or reason behind it I have no idea if it is wise to pursue a relationship, all I know is that I cannot get her off my mind and the thought her makes my heart race and head feel light. In some sense I feel like she is a kindred spirit, but having known what she has and is going through and I do not want to be a disruption in her life, to be distraction from the hard work she is putting into better her life.
I want to keep getting to know her, to keep getting closer and for now I just want to be a good friend. If anything more comes from it, it will happen on its own and naturally, as it should be. There are no expectations and I feel like I would be okay if all we ever are is friends, just that I know I like her a lot and feelings are growing. At least I have let her know how I feel and she has not pushed me away, so that is good at least. ^_^

Rainfurrest 2012 Report
General | Posted 13 years agoI had intended to give a little update each evening as things winded down, but usually ended up relaxing and using my tablet to watch shows till I passed out rather than browsing and posing journals. Going to do my best to recall what I did from day to day.
Day 2
This would of been Friday, believe I got up around 8 and rolled out or bed right into the shower to help wake me up. Decided to go ahead and get dressed up in my Victorian suit before heading over to Denny's for breakfast. They were pretty busy, but I got sat down right away and received my meal pretty soon after ordering, which made me happy cause I was pretty hungry. I had gone along, but there were a lot of other furs about and I bumped into
Rhari and
Fever.low that were on there way out right about when I was as well so we headed back to the hotel together. They happen to be heading towards a panel so I followed along, was the meet the board panel and was mostly some Q&A, was informative in some aspects but there was one guy there that had is own agenda he kept pushing that was not all that productive and started to get annoying. Part of the discussions going on was the future of the con and how it might it expand and just how large we wanted it to go, most of us all agreed that bigger is not better and that we don't really want it to ever reach the capacity of FC and AC and that RF works better as medium sized con in a moderate location rather than overblown and spread out over a large facility, but this one guy kept trying push that we run things like an anime convention and keep pushing to be as large as we could get, none of us could convince him that was a terrible idea.
Moving on from that panel I snuck on over to the dealers area to see what new artists had arrived and say good morning to those over there I knew. I ended up snagging a nice original from Katie-W (though those here may know here under a different name) specifically the Sapphire Shores listed here. I also ended up commissioning
Temrin nice little pony badge that I will scan and post later on today. After some browsing and chatting I made my way form the dealer room for a quick visit to the Patron Lounge before making my way back to my room so I could get changed for the Nerf War. I had bought a new gun, again, just for this event. This has always been one of my favorite things to do as this con and had a blast like usual, unfortunately there was a minor accident and we had to end things early. Someone scrapped their knee on the carpet and made a pretty sizable blood stain, even after clean up I could some of the stain a couple days later.
Once the Nerf event was over I decided to go take a dip in the pool, it was nice warm and sunny day so I wanted to take advantage of that before it started to get dark. The water was real nice as well, was actually a little warm and felt quite nice. Sadly others did not seem to have the same idea as I did so for awhile I had the pool to myself, which was kind of nice but i did like it better when others showed up to chat with. After awhile I made my way to the hot tub to soak and loosen up some soar muscles where even a few more showed up, I do tell you time can sure fly in such a situation, but luckily I had the forethought to check the time now and then. I made sure to leave early enough so I could get back to my room in time to take another shower and get dressed for the Guest of Honor dinner.
It does come in handy know so many in the furry community I suppose, always bound to run into people I know to talk with to help pass the time waiting in line. This dinner was not much different from the others in the past, though the meal this year was much better than last year. We got a little gibber jabber from those on the board while we ate and drank, I had beef this year since the chicken I had last year as out right nasty. I enjoyed most of the meal, but the salad was a bit funky, the red lettuce is a bit bitter and I had bitter foods. The desert was especially good, some cheese cake that had a nice hint of lemon to it served some local berries. There was not too much going on for me after that so I just hung out in the lounge for the rest of the night before heading back to my room for the night. Oh, my other roomie ended up showing up that night. He had intended to be there in the morning, but the poor guy missed his flight.
Day 3
We are on to Saturday now, probably when the con was fully at its peek but even with all the bodies around did not feel all that crowded. Per tradition, I got got myself up nice and early so I could make my way down for cartoons and cereal, still in my pjs and hair a mess. Did not really care for what they were showing on the projector so ended up watching SonicAM on my tablet, I do love having Netflix on the go. Though I had a small bowl of cereal, I was in the mood for something else after awhile so packed up and went up to the lounge for a some pancakes and french toast as we continued to watch cartoons up there. I was up there for quite awhile, but I can only go so long before the fact I have not taken a shower yet starts to make me twitch.
So after a nice little clean up and getting dressed back up in my suit I had planned to make my way over to the teriyaki place for some lunch, but to my and that of many others' disappointment the place was closed for the day, not meant to open up again till dinner. So I trekked on back back to the hotel and decided to give the restaurant there a try. The food was actually pretty good, but sure was expensive especially for the portions. Lesson learned there for when I return, though would not mind eating there again with group of people that than by my lonesome. I did a little wondering around after that as I waited for the parade to get going, was interesting watching the crowds settle into place as they waited as well.
I am not sure how long the parade lasted from beginning to end, but from where I was standing it took about 15 minutes for all the suiters to pass on by. Saw a lot I recognize, but there are always, of course, a few new suits I get to see and always very fascinating. I have contemplated getting a suit a few times, but the one thing I am afraid I could never do is wear a head for very long. Claustrophobia really sucks at times. With the parade over I made my way over to the Ice Cream Social, where again I found some familiar faces to chit chat with as we gathered around for a nice treat. While there I found out that there was a bit of a dare put out to the suiters to try and eat some ice cream while fully suit, got a recording of one that was able to pull it off without getting even a drop on their suit.
It was back to the room again to dress down and go for another swim, this time there were quite a few more out taking advantage of the pool and hot tub, it was quite the nice little distraction. I would of loved to of stayed longer, but I needed to get back to the room and dressed into something a little more appropriate for making my way over to the variety show. I was done with my suit at this time so just dressed casually. Truly I ran into a situation where it shows how much it pays to be a patron, there was quite the long line by the time I made it over to the main theater, however I got to skip right on to the front. The show itself was nice, some performances better than others but over all the whole thing felt a little short.
I had intended to waste another night away in the lounge, but they were getting ready for an awards ceremony, so I just headed back to my room, ordered a pizza and put on some shows to watch. It was quite the relaxing evening and ended up falling a sleep much earlier than previously, which I really needed.
Day 4
Here comes Sunday, the last day of the con. A bit of the morning was getting things packed up some so it would be easier getting out once check out had come and gone. After getting cleaned and dressed I headed over to the lounge once again so I could snag warm breakfast, this place really helps keep my food budget in check and is another good reason why people should bother being a Patron, if they have the money to spare. Much of today was doing some last rounds and saying goodbye to folks and finding out when I might see them again, at whichever con we might again cross paths.
It was not long till I had to get fully checked out of the room, but before then I snagged some leftover pizza for lunch, not sure why but I was feeling rather ravenous and ate quite a bit more than I usually would have. Once nice thing I have learned from all my travels is that even though I am checked out of my room, I don't need to haul my bags around with me everywhere I go till it is actually time to head on home. The front desk is more than happy to hold on to my bags for me, till I am ready to leave. Once that was taken care of it was more wondering around the hotel, making some goodbyes as I waited for what would be the last panel I would attend.
It was kind of a nice way to end the con really and was something I was very much looking forward to, the My Little Pony Party. It was nice to sit and talk with some folks I had not really had the chance to see since Everyfree. As the episodes ran I found my way over to members of the EFNW board that were there discussing how we would utilize the hotel for next year for our own means. After a couple eps of the show we introduced the crowed to Friendship is witchcraft then gave some folks a chance to come and tell their story of how they got into the fandom. My story is not all that exciting, but one I still enjoy sharing. After that a nice little announcement from
Markarian and the board about the date and location of Everfree next year, which will of course be over 4th of July weekend at the very same Hilton that Rainfurrest is now.
I helped a little bit with clean up and we did a little walking and talking, as there was still very much shop to discuss in regards and Everfree and what role I might be able to play. Would of loved to have kept following them around, but I was not about to crash their dinner plans and at this point I needed to get going so I would not miss my bus home. I said the last of my goodbyes and grabbed my things and made my way out for the very long trip home, getting in last night where, as always, it was very nice to sleep in my own bed. I have actually spent quite a lot of my time writing this all up and even though I have no idea if anyone is going to bother reading I have found it fun to share my adventures to those interested.
I am not sure if I will return to Rainfurrest next year or not, those who may know me under another name from that fandom I have not made it any secret over the past few years that I have been slowly pulling away from furry and more and more the Brony fandom is starting to take over a lot of my spare time. Thankfully I get to see some familiar faces either way and regardless I have gotten to meet some wonderful people have no regrets. My next and final con this year will be a furry one, Midwest Furfest in Chicago, that will be come November. Where I go from there I am not entirely sure, I am still figuring out what exactly will do next year, really only Everfree is a certainty. I had plans to attend FC, but those already cancelled, a friend has invited me to attend Furry Fiesta, but I am not sure I will be able to make it. To be honest, I am trying to limit my cons to those a little closer by along the west coast, so cons like Emerald City Comicon, Sakuracon and Northwest Wonderfest are in consideration as well as possibly the new pony con BronyCAN that is starting up and looking for staff.
I will get it all figured out eventually, in part it is hard to say goodbye to a part of my life, but I also feel it is time to move on to other things. It is time for a new adventure.

After that a nice little announcement from
Markarian and the board about the date and location of Everfree next year, which will of course be over 4th of July weekend at the very same Hilton that Rainfurrest is now.I helped a little bit with clean up and we did a little walking and talking, as there was still very much shop to discuss in regards and Everfree and what role I might be able to play.

RF Day 1
General | Posted 13 years agoWas nice to sleep in a little, but still woke up to give myself plenty of time in the morning to finish up any last minute packing, grab some breakfast and relax a little before heading out of the house. Left right around the time I planned to give myself plenty of time to drag my over-sized luggage up the street to the bus stop, making sure I arrived a little earlier than when the bus was scheduled, just in case they ran early. For how much people have issues with buses running late, it is worse when they run early, because you are then stuck waiting for the next one which always seems to be running late as it is.
Made it downtown on the bus just as I expected to and that was including a delay on the bride, I think it much of been up for a ship passing by, I could not really see but would of been the first time that has happened to me in the 5 years I have been commuting downtown. There was a small snafu with the next bus stop I had to go to, some other local charter was parked in the designate spot for the Bolt Bus, which is marked. It caused a little bit of confusion, though I was more concerned what was going to happen once my bus arrived since there was little room with the other bus in the way. Once the Bolt Bus arrived, the driver was clearly unhappy and tried to get the other driver to move, since he was technically illegally parked, but the guy refused and was a bit of an ass about it. Both of them ended up calling up their bosses explaining the situation as they did they only thing they really could do and load up their passengers. What caused the biggest issue with all of this as now my bus was blocking the driveway of the hotel we were next to, which pissed off a lot of people and caused both the security and what might of been some manager, but there was really nothing my driver could do because the other driver was blocking his spot. It all did not really last that long, we got aboard and out of the way in 15 minutes or so, but people will make a fuss over even the slightest little inconvenience.
Hitting the road out of Portland I got to enjoy the beautiful day and scenery. What was kind of fun was pumping into a girl the was heading up to Seattle to vising one of her partners that happened to be your typical geek into anime, manga, gaming and of course, ponies. Actually it was my Derpy bag that caught her attention and us talking, so that helped eat up some time, but I also had my tablet with me and spent sometime watching anime, also did a bit of tweeting on my phone. Over all the time passed relatively quickly and we actually ended up in Seattle 20 minutes ahead of schedule.
Off from the bus it was right onto the Seattle's light rail, which I did not have to wait very long for and made some decent time out to the hotel, I would say I was all checked in and settled a lot earlier than I planned. I headed right over to registration once dropping off my things in the room and to my surprise there was no line, yet there was one starting to form just as I was leaving. With little to do and the dealer room closing in an hour I headed over there just to see if I recognized anyway. I ended up bumping
MaxCoyote and he invited me out to get dinner once the dealer room was all closed.
Bit of a mishap at the restaurant we went to, we ended up waiting awhile for others to show up before ordering and what should of been only a 10 minute wait or so for our food after that ended up being over a 20 minute wait. It also seemed several at the table misjudged how much time they had and had to leave early to get to a panel, poor Max did not even get to have any dinner. Those of us with the free time stayed and at what we ordered, I was not overly impressed with the food and did not feel was worth what I payed. I could of gone someone I liked a lot more and paid a lot less.
After dinner I headed up to the Patron lounge to just relax and hang out, as well as satiate my sweet tooth. Met a lot of nice folks up there, some familiar faces and some new. I am not even going to try and list off all the names of people I come across at this con because it is a lot and I am horrible with names. There was some sort of book launch going on in the lounge as well that I got to witness, with the con chair showing up briefly. After awhile I decided to head back to my room to finish off the day and get some things unpacked then relaxed and watched a show to test out out Netflix looks going from my tablet to the hotel TV.
One of my room mates is here and doing his own thing, man he has a lot of stuff and it is taking up a lot of space in the room. I cannot say I am exactly happy about that, but only because it is a cluttered mess not from it being any form of inconvenience. As long as we have room for the third person joining us tomorrow for their things and a place to sleep, things will be fine. That was pretty much my Thursday, it is officially Friday now and there are still con events going on, the dance and private parties, but I will probably try and get some sleep soon so I am fresh for day 2.

Rainfurrest or bust
General | Posted 13 years agoI am getting much of my packing taken care of tonight so I don't have as much to worry about tomorrow. Even then, I have lots of time to just relax tomorrow morning. The Bolt Bus is not set to leave to 12:30 PM, getting me up to Seattle just before 4PM to the hotel closer to 5PM. I'll end up missing opening ceremonies, but that is alright, I ended up getting a pretty decent ticket price by choosing this departure. Thought the bus is not heading out till the afternoon, I still have to get myself downtown to catch the bus in the first place, which will mean leaving before 11AM to catch the Trimet bus, unless I can convince someone to give me a ride, which is always possible.
I am going to get back to packing and will do an update once I hit the road. Wish I was not so terrible at packing, I always want to bring way too much stuff than I actually need, which means hauling around large, cumbersome, luggage. Oh well, I will get it all figured out. If it was just the cloths and stuff I might not have an issue, but I also have to fit in all the Nerf gear I plan to bring, which I seem to have more of every year. Going to rectify that by giving away a couple of my guns during this year's Nerf war, I only really need the one I just bought, the rest can find a nice new home. Think I will leave the swords behind this time, they were only really useful during the Zombie match.

Pre-registration for EverfreeNW 2013 is now OPEN!
General | Posted 13 years agoRainfurrest Room Update
General | Posted 13 years agoJust got a phone call from one of the people planning to stay with me during the con, do to some circumstances I will not get into they are no longer able to attend the convention. This now puts us at only two people staying in the room, for now, including myself.
If there is anyone out there still looking for a place to stay during Rainfurrest, I have room for two more now. I will be arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday. As it stands we only have a room with a single king bed, but I am working on getting us upgraded to a room with two beds, I will know for sure come check in.

Rainfurrest Room Share
General | Posted 13 years agoI shall break down the situation as it is, so that anyone interested knows what to expect.
Currently I have a room booked at the main convention hotel, the Hilton. I booked a little late so was only able to secure a single king bed, but am trying to see about getting upgraded to a room with two beds once I check in. Now, I will be checking in Thursday afternoon, but will be checking out Sunday. Just to reiterate that, I am not staying till the Monday after the con, I am leaving Sunday.
At this point in time, including myself, there are three of us set to stay in the room, but if we have room for one more. If we are able to get four people total in the room, I would only be asking for $104 from everyone to cover the three night stay. Now for a few ground rooms.
No Minors
No smoking (Really thought this was a gimme, but someone asked.)
Bring as much booze as you like.
No late night room parties. (I rarely visit the room during the day, but when I come back in the evening it is to sleep.)
If you wish to have some privacy in the room, for whatever reason, give a little forewarning.
That is about it, I expect everyone in the room to be an adult, to be have as such and are responsible for themselves, just be courteous that others are staying in the room with you.

Convention tour
General | Posted 13 years agoTo be honest, I have not fully recovered from EverfreeNW, but I should get off my lazy tail and start getting ready for my convention stop.
Next up on the list is Rainfurrest, taking me back to Seattle. Not that much to do really, but do need to book my bus soon. More importantly I need to get ahold of those I am suppose room with to make sure we are still a go and still need to find another to join us. Rather be going to Canterlot Gardens, but is the same weekend and I planned RF months ago.
Kind of wish I was going to EquestriaLA, but could not justify the cost of travel for only one day. What comes after RF is Midwest Furfeast. Really nothing to do for that, plane is booked and hotel taken care of, just have to show up.
That is it for this year, need to get next year figured out. So far Furry Fiesta is looking to be following MFF.

EverfreeNW Aftermath and PCD
General | Posted 13 years agoI really do know what to say. For those that were there, it just goes without saying, you know how awesome it was. Even those that caught the streams, you know some of the wonderful events and people that were at this con. I honestly do not feel any need to give a break down, because there are enough of them out there already that people should have a fairly good idea of the good, the bad and the OMFG incredible.
I was laughing and cheering most of my time there and that is not even just from the panels and events, but from just all the wonderful people I got to meet and hangout with. You have no idea how much I needed something like this, even if was just a few short days it is a vacation I will not soon forget. I really wish I could of stayed till Monday, but because of work I had to run out right after Closing Ceremonies, for which I am grateful I could at least see to the end.
Not afraid to admit, post con depression hit me hard and fast soon as I left the hotel so I could catch my ride home. I was fighting tears the whole way, I really did not want to leave. I know that I will still get to see a lot of the friends I have made through the this convention, both the lead up and those I met there for the first time, but still. Even just thinking about it all I find myself getting chocked up, mind you they are not fully tears of sadness but a mix longing and joy. It was like having to say goodbye to someone I love dearly, because it was.
I love all of you, you are my family. Brohoof!
God.. tearing up...
Look a moose!

To Seaddle or Bust!
General | Posted 13 years agoWelp... I have most of my packing done for tomorrow, I will finish up the last few items in the morning. This is going to be an interesting juggle, because I have to haul everything down to work with me in the morning. Going to go to bed soon and try my best to get some sleep, so ramped up for the con with mind going a millions miles a minute it might be difficult to crash. I'll get up a little earlier than norm so I can finish what I need to and insure that I catch my bus to work, leaving a little early since I have so much to drag down the street with me.
Once work is all said and done I am off to catch another bus, but rather than the bus back home I will be on the bus that will take me to EverfeeNW. Not expecting any hitches, at least not any more, on getting myself up there. Everything is staged, planned and scheduled, now it all a matter of time. Time to prepare and time to keep, so that I wont miss even one beat. I am, The Master, after all.
See everypony there!
