I’m going to take some good advice and separate my themes into ‘modules’. First comes polishing the mechanics and refining the character creation system. It reads a lot easier to understand now but also seems a little shallow as well.
To help with that i’m going to work on developing a list of characters (original or borrowed with permission) to stand as examples of what players can build in the system. Preferably of more extreme and challenging examples that can help me find any conceptual holes and decide the difference between game affecting attributes and good old fashioned flavor text.
What I will do is work up a set of 3 pieces involving 2 characters developed form the list below and/or suggestions from you folks. These images may well end up being cover pics for the separate modules. SO what I would like from you, the readers and potential future players is to vote, chime in or make suggestions on preferred characters/pairings.
FANTASY
Humanoid Monster - Demon, Animal Monster - Dark Unicorn, Slime Monster - MOA Slime
Hero - Knight, Commoner - Nun, Legend - Queen
MODERN
Humanoid Monster - Vampire, Animal Monster - Werewolf, Slime Monster - Plant Creature
Hero - Police Officer, Commoner - Student, Legend - Nurse
SCI-FI

Again the idea here is that if i have some visible examples for people to work with, it ought to be easier for them to relate to the themes, rules and creation mechanics that goes with them. Each character will have a sheet built up to go with them. Then when i release the reworked character creation system for play testing folks will have examples available for comparison.
I still have it in my head that the MonBuilder system can handle all but the most extreme or convoluted characters/creatures. If anyone wants to test that claim, by all means, suggest a character for review and I should be able to tell pretty quickly.

Okay so right now, Nun and Alien Princess are looking to be pretty popular, with nurse and policewoman tied in the Modern setting
I would say slime is the most popular monster but the odds are kinda stacked in that monster types favor, so can't count that yet.
Common characters like the nurse and the nun will definitely need some special spin on them i think, to make them just righty for what i have in mind.
Also it occurs to me, what may have been a good idea with this process is to actually post the current character/creature lists. Not necessarily all the stats but basically the bestiary. Then folks can pick and choose better or add their own ideas to the lists and see how they work out.
May also have been a good idea to list some of the game type concepts for setting ideas, but i'm thinking that might end up stifling some of the creativity, BUT what do i know XD

2014 Project: Monster Builder Complete (PLEASE Comment)
Posted 11 years agoRemember me talking about considering doing a big image collection or similar project next year? Well still no greater response other than “good luck with that” so let’s see if this breaks things loose.
My head has been stuck on my Monster Builder Ero-Game project. Now most of you probably don’t remember or never heard of it which is probably just as well.
nek0gami produced a set of build-a-beast images that were really inspirational for me as a way of making sex critters common place and not strictly for the realm of school girl locker rooms or 80s sic-fi movies.
Years ago (2009/2010) I decided to write an ero-video game that I would want to play. A sort of tentacle monster strategy RPG as it were. In the end that was of coarse just a puttering exercise until
nai-chan inspired me with her mock game screenshots. So I put more thought into it and figured, I like real things more than gag things so how's a bouts i make a tabletop game instead.
In the process of crunching all the numbers I realized that the system and mechanics would translate equally well or better into a paper-n-dice system. So I started posting bits and bobs on FA. Had a couple folks come up who wanted to play test it for me, made some more progress, then that was it. This project has been stuck in my head as something i want to finish because I still think that the system i wrote was solid and appropriate to the goal. Now having said that, I recently went back over my old docs and about wretched at how badly written and disjointed they were.
SO I decided to consider this as the big super duper uber pooper scooper project for next year. Finish Monster Builder and produce a complete comprehensive pdf or similar Game Manual. This would be a huge undertaking and would certainly involve me calling on other artists and folks that i know to help me. EIther with arting, editing, commentary or play testing so that when all is said and done we’ll have a premium book quality collection on our hands. And maybe even an actual book in our hands, i dunno yet.
Now naturally the only people who are going to be interested in this project are going to be RPG fans, Hentai fans, Monster movie fans and Smutties like me. But I know there are a whole lot of us out there so let’s have a look see.
There is still time for me to change my mind or for you to talk me out of it with a better idea before Jan 1 2014. Having said that, this system is also highly friendly to anthro character creation, even some of the craziest chimeric critters here on FA!
WHAT IS MONSTER BUILDER?
It is a paper and dice rpg system that allows the players to create characters and creatures based on the naughty monster genre. It uses a system similar to BESM where each stat or ability has meaningful game effect but is not specific to any one thing like DnD. For example if a character can fly, it doesn’t matter how they accomplish it or how they choose to explain or describe it, just how far and how fast.
Players can choose to build heroes, monsters, villains, beasts, kingdoms, lairs, dungeons, whatever they wish and customize them accordingly. The system keeps character strengths and development in balance for those of us who want some meaningful game play with our smut. Included are details, templates and suggestions for Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Modern settings. In its previous form it was able to accommodate all but the MOST amorphously alien lovecraftian super monsters accurately and efficiently. Talking to you anthro/furry/xeno/tentacle folks!
In the end it is an ero-combat/adventure game that is for highly creative people that should work simply and solid whether played online or offline. I am someone who loves using game systems to support character creation and my writing skills, so that’s the kind of person i’m making this game for. As well as the pervy gamer/dice-roller who can’t find that ‘just-righty’ thing.

So is this game about fighting monster?
It includes that and is heavily geared towards those types of scenarios. But as with all good RPGs, even the main theme is just an option .
So do players play as rape monsters then? or are they trying to survive one?
Either/Or. The game hinges around the character creation and interaction systems. Players can play as good or evil monsters/heroes in any combination they can come up with. I made it with the intention of remaining balanced regardless of who plays as what, while leaving room for players to modify as desired for difficulty.
How does this relate to FA and it's members?
I created a system for artists that can be made as dull/vibrant, sexual/subdued, violent/peaceful as people want. I see some ideas like Fantasy Genesis and know that there are people out there with the same thought, on combining artistic creativity with a gaming experience. Mine goes in a route naturally rooted in my own interests.

Questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, art for the chapters and bestiary, play testers to confirm or deny the system i have created is as solid and balanced as i think it is.
What happened to the previous posts you made?
I pulled those off. they got little to no response and most of what went into those documents was actually not very user friendly at all. So they would just add to the confusion for anybody now who wasn't a play tester before.
You said you wanted to sell this, how much?
Too early for me to say really, i'm not sure what would be most efficient yet. But i am pretty certain that, after months of work, editing, artwork from other artists and play testing, i will have invested way way more than any return I would receive before people start ripping it.
Since all there is now is your brainstorming and Slime Creature, when are we going to start seeing results we can actually understand?
Not until Jan 2014, where i hope to have lists made and start creating example entries based on known characters (on and off FA). These starting lists will include things like game type suggestions and Bestiary/Warchest entries.
I imagine that doing this whole thing up right is going to take a very long time, all 2014 potentially. So those folks who are interested will probably forget about it quickly enough

The system is written already, the hard work is already done, I have the diamond. This is a matter of cutting it, polishing, placing it in a gorgeous ring and marrying it to the players' shapely/fuzzy/slimy dice throwing finger.

Posted 12 years agoSo i’m thinking about producing various image sets as i am currently better with singular images than i am with comic pages. My thinking is to make 1 pic with alternates a month over the course of a year, leading to 12-24 images give or take then selling the set. It’s a pretty common practice and I’m wondering if it will suit me.
Thing is I have so many ideas and concepts and only so many hours in a day and too little of what i want to have done has gotten where I wanted it. So i’m thinking focusing on one thing regularly should get it all worked out. The hope also is that it will draw more attention and better results to my OCs and all that happy fun stuff.
I’ll probably end up putting a poll out to gauge my watchers opinions soon. If this works out well i’d like to think it’d finally get me to the point where i can start producing some art books and prints the way i always wanted to.
The particulars of hosting and ripping and all that jazz is not lost on me. Just brainstorming right now.
I imagine i’ll end up testing this out with one of my OCs, probably BoVyne or the Drowess. But i’ll put it out there to my watchers and see what happens.

MOA has MOVED

Moved to a new place. Finally have the workstation fully reconfigured up and running. It appears to be running the same as before, though my desktop's bluetooth module picked yesterday to burn out so today I went and bought a USB Bluetooth adaptor and it APPEARS to be working perfectly. Still lots more to do, bigger and more important things still to come here soon BUT I now have the comfort of getting back to regular contact and work with folks.
The new neighbors have been just fine, pleasant folks that i'm sure i'll get to know in time. The area is nice and quiet and the place is very "me" thus far. Which is great since this entire experience that should have been wonderful and liberating has been surrounded by more people trying to piss on my parade.
But fuck'em, i'm doing just dandy here. Once i iron out a couple more things I'll put up a Livestream party and those of you who give two shits can join me for some unwinding time! ^^
The Work
The last couple years has seen a terrible drop in my motivation and decimation of my focus and memory. The hope is that now that I am in a time and place that is just me and myself to worry about that i'll be able to get back to a proper work schedule.
There's a handful of folks whom i still owe work and it's way too late for an apology to be appropriate. I have an open ledger going so if i owe you work CONTACT ME HERE! I'll be going back through my records and contacting people on my own but that doesn't guarantee i won't miss or have forgotten somebody.
I'm going to get back into a truly regular work schedule and i have the infrastructure here to do it. I just have to organize it and go. I'm going to do my best to play catch up as quickly and efficiently as possible so there's no particular order involved.
The Drama
I really hate this persistent trend that life has shown of giving me a cookie and just as i'm enjoying it I get a great big shovel of steaming shit smashed into my back. Regardless of what anyone else may think, I do NOT deserve this constant betrayal and harassment.
But hey, if you actually cared or had anything to do with it you'd know what I'm talking about. But you don't so never mind. Just more burnable human trash.

Poll for MOAs Female watchers
Posted 12 years agookay this is a tad frustrating for me. I seem to have a wierd balance from my female fans.
I've been trying periodically to put together some imagery that i would think appeals more to my female viewers here and on DA and it really seems like i'm getting more response and attention from the M/M fans.
Now there's nothing WRONG with that but it's not the result I was anticipating. So I'm just going to ask the question and see what i get.
This is not "what to girls like" or "what do female furries like". This is me asking my female watchers specifically and exclusively what it is that they would like to see out of my gallery. No matter what it may be!
I'd like to think I TRY to appeal to my female watchers who at one point dominated my clientele. Either that is just no longer the case or I am out of touch. So PLEASE comment!
I'd also like to take a sort of roll call with my active fem fans. That way i don't get confused with the fems i'm a fan of and, yeah you get what i mean.

Posted 12 years agoI'll be getting my new Cintiq 22HD some time tomorrow. So provided it's not DEFECTIVE or I can't get an adapter I'll be streaming sometime in the afternoon. Exact time coming after i get the thing set up.

Posted 12 years agoSo I finally managed to find a store that can special order them, direct order is not an option for me in this case.
And I find myself leaning towards the 22HD. I have to wait until Monday before I know one way or another which one they can get in.
I have read a lot of reviews on the various cintiqs and most are feature focus or compare performance to previous models. So if someone here who reads this has any input on the Cintiq they would like to share, i'd like to hear from you.
13HD is a possibility, 24HD is too damn big, i have not yet liked Wacom's touch feature performance compared to other devices i already use in tandem, so I'm going to abstain from the Touch versions and keep my greasy mits OFF the screen.
After what i'm going through with the Galaxy Note, a protective screen cover is going to have to be JUST right otherwise i'll make my peace with scratching the screen.
I'll most likely end up hooking it up mostly to my laptop so i can use every program I have, Mac or PC, on it as needed. I know i need an adapter for these HD versions.
I am willing to accept that they heat up and I can live with the touch strips as i'll likely never use them with all the express keys it has.

Posted 12 years agoIt turns out my house (or rather myself specifically) has been targeted for robbery by someone i knew and did NOTHING to but trust and treat with respect. Death threats have been made against my friends and by proximity me as well.
Evidence is being assembled, police will get involved once paperwork is in, I/we are ARMED and reinforcing security measures in the house.
I’m a nice guy, i really am, but i swear I must be too nice cuz these last few years has just been people shitting all over me. And now my property, life and livelihood are being threatened for no more reason than I have a nice place with nice things in it and managed to piss off my ex REAL good. That and stupidity and misplaced hatred on the parts of others.
It’s quite possible i WOULD have been burglarized already, but my lucky stars have held out i guess. But that family bullshit i mentioned earlier isn’t even on my RADAR anymore! Posted 12 years agoSo it's tax season and it's all going wrong and only slightly working out in my favor.
The deadline is monday, i haven't submitted yet, I still can't find all my papers but i've found stacks of papers that i didn't even know i had.
I was already delayed with work and other stuff going on and now all this stuff combined into my losing a job, NOT HAPPY!
But the real kicker, the thing that caused all this, the thing that my instincts apparently saw coming, is family trouble, AGAIN.
So apparently my sister did her taxes wrong and made a lot of dumb decisions in the last two years and the IRS just took all her money (about 10,000$)
So she called me and asked me to fix it for her. She wants me to GIVE her the money she lost effectively out of my own pocket!
Now there is no love lost between us, and i'd be happy to tell her to take a flying leap but she has two small boys and it's not fair to punish the kids just because of her.
And if i say no at ANY point then I become the bad guy!
She was getting $2000 a month from our father just so she could pay rent and feed the kids since she refused to get a job and now effectively wants me to do the same thing!
I KNEW THIS WAS GONNA HAPPEN! And i told her not to do it but I knew she would never uphold that.
So I have a choice, I can tell her no and be the bad guy forever, adhering to my own principles and the agreement we had. OR I can give her what she wants, become an enabler, and still eventually have to say no in a couple months anyway! So I would get to be the good big brother/uncle for a little while and then be the bad guy again!
I really don't know what to do with it but there's a question that has been plaguing me.
How does she manage to burn through 2-300,000$ in less than two years and still have NOTHING to show for it? No new house like she wanted, no fancy car, no cool shit, just living in mediocre squallor neglecting her kids and now relying on her douchbag husband to pay her rent with his restaurant job.
So yeah, I'm late on a lot of stuff, i know, i'm sorry.
I likely just lost a job, so that's freeing up time again, but I'm angry and depressed about it, though i can only blame myself.
Gotta get my taxes in NOW or i'm gonna be in trouble so i'm in a panic.
My sister is doing her usual thing and putting me in a very inappropriate position and I'm rip roaringly furious about that.
I really don't know what to do in this situation except to bend over and take it, whatever it is i can do and still sleep at night.

Revival Stream Tonight?

No particular time, very loosey goosey. there's a lot of people i need to touch base with and i'd like to talk to them directly but so far no one's stepped up on their own. SO after this i'll have to start tracking them down one by one.
By the way folks, "it's a two way street" is no excuse for people to just sit around and not get involved when they know it's time to weigh in.
But any who! probably won't take any sketch commissions on this one. Will likely be working on existing ones instead. Mostly going to focus on whether or not the Procaster update is stable enough to handle my system.

Posted 13 years agoAs some of you have seen i'm finally on my way back to the waking world after what is likely the most crushing depression of my life. I'm seeing help and it's made a difference. It's doesn't help that we got screwed out of 10000$ by the last investment company but dad's estate is officially settled after about 2 years to the day. That now leaves me with selling the house and finding a new place to live next year. It's not going to be easy but its 3 things to deal with as opposed to 30.
I've started posting some new and old stuff including art from pals like
daigo and bigdad with more to come. There's still more folks i have to touch base with and i'm not back to 100% just yet so bear with me for a while longer please. And go check out their galleries for the reciprocation.
Livestream got the updates i needed to procaster so now I can stream again, so look forward to that in the near future. What I may end up doing is instead of big long sessions is doing shorter and more regular sessions to maybe simulate a regular work day. Any advice on the subject would be appreciated.

Right now I'm planning a pretty big update/overhaul to Monster Beach and hopefully make it as dynamic a place as I wanted. But right now I'm calling out to the fish-furs out there to help me with the idea of adding some fem-monsters to the fray in a way that will fit (yaay alliteration). So step up you shark, squid and jelly gurls!
I have a dense backlog of messages and submissions to check all over so if you've been looking for me just hang in there. If I have outstanding work or projects with you, step up as my memory has totally gone to shit on me in the last 2 years.
This is me, getting my life back bit by bit.

Posted 13 years agoAlrighty, so I have been out of town for the last week attending my mom's wedding (went fine)
I also took the time to hang out with my best bud and clear my head (went fine too, and it worked)
So I'm back home, feeling good, got the relief I needed and I am ready to live the dream once again!
So now what this means is that you're going to see me level up as a full time artist. My first priority is still Drowtales and with their new stuff going on I oughta have plenty to do. Manaworld is still going strong and I intend to continue to be a part of it. I have a fat backlog of commissions still outstanding and I will apologize once again to those of you who have waited patiently. My intention is to finish those at a steady pace and then cut down on my amount of regular commish work to devote more time to the comics. So for those of you who are still waiting on me, go ahead and touch base with me and we will get cracking. For those of you who have been waiting for an opportunity, so sorry, but from now on i will have to start denying note requests and open up slots when I have time. More of my side time is going to be spent working on projects with my friends and colleagues.
I will likely be revamping my blog as well as an art site rather than a defunct bio. I also intend to stream work more regularly, keeping me on a harder pace. This may also become the prime time for chance commissioners.
Also, chiggers suck, Glocks suck, Dark Knight rules, deal with it.

WELCOME to Monster Beach (SECRET 1 revealed)
Posted 13 years agoSome of you folks have heard me talk about Monster Beach, a theme series starring my goldie dread babe B.B. Dread. It focuses on beach babes being surprised by sea monsters. I have been building a body of work with Darker Eve (Alpha Eve Design) featuring bikini babes being enjoyed on the beach. That collection has grown and developed to the point where I am ready to start posting pieces that have yet to see the light of day and formally extend the invitation to my fans and friends to come on down and bring themselves and their OCs for some fun! I also welcome constructive ideas and contributions to build the concept and collection into something solid and easy to access for fans and collaborators.
This concept was not built to be a furry/anthro inclusive theme but everyone is welcome! It is also built around aquatic monsters and busty babes. It follows a pattern we here at FA ought to all be familiar with by now. So I don't think it offers anything particularly unique or distinct, just a setting of time and place and an established group of my characters.
There are secrets here that have yet to be uncovered. When and if people contribute to the project these secrets may be revealed and new ones may also be unlocked.
TIME
Non-specific modern to near future. So far most all the pics produced occur during the day under bright clear weather. MonBeach is capable of experiencing all weather types so it seems surprising more pieces don't take place at night.
PLACE
Non-specific tropical beach. The beach itself is relatively small and secluded allowing visitors a more quiet and intimate environment, as opposed to typical massive public beaches.
- Hotel: An expensive but under used resort hotel sits on the beach overlooking the entire area. There are some mysterious goings on at this hotel likely connecting to the nature of Monster Beach.

- Life Guard Shack: Like any good beach scenario a life guard is always on duty. Though one must wonder what a life guard at a place like MonBeach would be like!

- Beach: A short stretch of white sand offers plenty of room to run around and play, swim and relax. The beach features several platforms for visitors to spread out on under palm trees and awnings offering plenty of shade. There is a small pier for docking of small to medium sized boats and fishing.

PEOPLE
MonBeach has a small cast of permanent characters that are always available. These characters are still in development with room for more in the future.
- MOA: Yours truly is a beach bum type rolling in his custom micro van. As you might figure he's a nice guy that spends a lot of time taking photos and painting.
UNLOCKED = MOA has a monster form. In this shape he absorbs the sexual energy from his victims. He'll usually try to ceremoniously schmooze and seduce his snacks but is not beyond rudely grabbing them off the street. (This absorption is direct energy transfer. It does no damage to the victim except knocking them unconscious with potential minor memory loss and dehydration, no worse than a hangover)

- B. B. Dread: Beach babe for life and one of the BSP sisters. She spends all her time at MonBeach and might be called the air headed but lovely welcome wagon. Always ready to play or do shots she is prone to narcolepsy and is usually running at full speed or napping in total oblivion. Her sisters don't enjoy the beach as much as she does but they still show up on occasion to party and relax.

- Hotel Staff: Undeveloped, the charismatic host of MonBeach resort hotel is an intelligent and pleasant individual who is always smiling and somehow always around. The courtesy staff is a maid and butler pair who tend to the hotel patrons. They are quiet and diligent compared to their boss but like the manager they always seem to be around just when you need them...or even when you don't...

- Life Guards: Undeveloped, 1 male + 1 female. The hunky and chesty life guards can always be found at their shack partying and watching the area through their oversized binoculars. They tend to tag team their shifts between sun up and sun down. The music is always playing loud and there's usually a couple of party guys n girls stretched out in the shade drinking or playing typical beach games.

MONSTERS
The creatures that lurk under the sand and spray are based on real ocean animals. I pursued the adaptation of the usual critters as well as some unusual ones. The beach monsters are not a collection of anthro/furry "pretty" characters that we are used to seeing here on FA. These are monstrous animals that are prone to the occasional rampage. One might think of these monsters like a really big dogs that insist on humping your leg and won't go away. (no death or gore here folks, treat this like a parody)
I have broken up the current list of existing ideas and critters into types. It does not really help to have a large collection of critters running around or to adapt every possible creature under the sun. HOWEVER i know some of you folks have some amazing ideas that could make this setting awesome.

- Tentacles: Creatures that reach and grasp with their wiggly appendages. You know what tentacles are good for and the ocean is full of tentacular critters.
+ The Giant Octopus is the most commonly seen monster on the beach. It prefers to work alone and is hard to escape. Its relatives the squid, cuttlefish, nautilus and similar creatures like jellyfish, anemone and barnacles rely on their tentacles.

- Humanoid: Creatures that have humanoid arms and legs and walk upright. Every one of you know perfectly well how these guys work.
+ The Shark Man is a predatory critter and possibly the most intelligent and close to human. He usually spends his time in the water and is rarely found sleeping. He looks scary to most folks but usually leaves them alone. He is prone to fits of curiosity and highly energetic but short lived frenzies. His buddy the Saltwater Crocodile is rarely ever seen but is considered to be very peaceful and mellow.
(I had hoped to make a whale or dolphin character but I haven't found a good way to do it that wouldn't make it look like Tidal Whale (Mega Man) or shark man with a different head.)

- Slime: Creatures with amorphous or otherwise squishy bodies. These critters are those who like goo and soft vore (emphasis on the soft) themes.
+ I was very surprised with how beautiful Sea Slugs are. These critters are docile and slow moving and make for fun little beach pals. A giant Sea Snail skirts the water and has a shell so big people can just crawl around inside it. There is also a Giant Clam of monstrous size of shore that is supposed to be exceptionally beautiful and uses powerful suction to build up its ever growing pearl. There is also a massive Starfish slowly lurking in the water that holds no threat to visitors but is often mistaken for boulders and upheaves rocks and sandbars.

- Shell: Creatures like crustaceans and insects that have a hard exoskeleton. These might be considered the most difficult and alien critters to work with.
+ Giant Sea Lice are aggressive and annoying creatures that tend to come in waves along with Horseshoe Crabs and Blue Lobsters. Hermit Crabs wait buried in the sand like land mines waiting in their shells. There's rumor of a monster Giant Lobster that hunts the beach at night.

- Other: Animals that do not fit into the above categories.
+ Sea snakes, turtles, mammals and birds have a lot of potential for this situation but I have not developed or found a good adaptation for MonBeach.

This concept was not built to be a furry/anthro inclusive theme but everyone is welcome! It is also built around aquatic monsters and busty babes. It follows a pattern we here at FA ought to all be familiar with by now. So I don't think it offers anything particularly unique or distinct, just a setting of time and place and an established group of my characters.
There are secrets here that have yet to be uncovered. When and if people contribute to the project these secrets may be revealed and new ones may also be unlocked.
TIME
Non-specific modern to near future. So far most all the pics produced occur during the day under bright clear weather. MonBeach is capable of experiencing all weather types so it seems surprising more pieces don't take place at night.
PLACE
Non-specific tropical beach. The beach itself is relatively small and secluded allowing visitors a more quiet and intimate environment, as opposed to typical massive public beaches.
- Hotel: An expensive but under used resort hotel sits on the beach overlooking the entire area. There are some mysterious goings on at this hotel likely connecting to the nature of Monster Beach.

- Life Guard Shack: Like any good beach scenario a life guard is always on duty. Though one must wonder what a life guard at a place like MonBeach would be like!

- Beach: A short stretch of white sand offers plenty of room to run around and play, swim and relax. The beach features several platforms for visitors to spread out on under palm trees and awnings offering plenty of shade. There is a small pier for docking of small to medium sized boats and fishing.

PEOPLE
MonBeach has a small cast of permanent characters that are always available. These characters are still in development with room for more in the future.
- MOA: Yours truly is a beach bum type rolling in his custom micro van. As you might figure he's a nice guy that spends a lot of time taking photos and painting.
UNLOCKED = MOA has a monster form. In this shape he absorbs the sexual energy from his victims. He'll usually try to ceremoniously schmooze and seduce his snacks but is not beyond rudely grabbing them off the street. (This absorption is direct energy transfer. It does no damage to the victim except knocking them unconscious with potential minor memory loss and dehydration, no worse than a hangover)

- B. B. Dread: Beach babe for life and one of the BSP sisters. She spends all her time at MonBeach and might be called the air headed but lovely welcome wagon. Always ready to play or do shots she is prone to narcolepsy and is usually running at full speed or napping in total oblivion. Her sisters don't enjoy the beach as much as she does but they still show up on occasion to party and relax.

- Hotel Staff: Undeveloped, the charismatic host of MonBeach resort hotel is an intelligent and pleasant individual who is always smiling and somehow always around. The courtesy staff is a maid and butler pair who tend to the hotel patrons. They are quiet and diligent compared to their boss but like the manager they always seem to be around just when you need them...or even when you don't...

- Life Guards: Undeveloped, 1 male + 1 female. The hunky and chesty life guards can always be found at their shack partying and watching the area through their oversized binoculars. They tend to tag team their shifts between sun up and sun down. The music is always playing loud and there's usually a couple of party guys n girls stretched out in the shade drinking or playing typical beach games.

MONSTERS
The creatures that lurk under the sand and spray are based on real ocean animals. I pursued the adaptation of the usual critters as well as some unusual ones. The beach monsters are not a collection of anthro/furry "pretty" characters that we are used to seeing here on FA. These are monstrous animals that are prone to the occasional rampage. One might think of these monsters like a really big dogs that insist on humping your leg and won't go away. (no death or gore here folks, treat this like a parody)
I have broken up the current list of existing ideas and critters into types. It does not really help to have a large collection of critters running around or to adapt every possible creature under the sun. HOWEVER i know some of you folks have some amazing ideas that could make this setting awesome.

- Tentacles: Creatures that reach and grasp with their wiggly appendages. You know what tentacles are good for and the ocean is full of tentacular critters.
+ The Giant Octopus is the most commonly seen monster on the beach. It prefers to work alone and is hard to escape. Its relatives the squid, cuttlefish, nautilus and similar creatures like jellyfish, anemone and barnacles rely on their tentacles.

- Humanoid: Creatures that have humanoid arms and legs and walk upright. Every one of you know perfectly well how these guys work.
+ The Shark Man is a predatory critter and possibly the most intelligent and close to human. He usually spends his time in the water and is rarely found sleeping. He looks scary to most folks but usually leaves them alone. He is prone to fits of curiosity and highly energetic but short lived frenzies. His buddy the Saltwater Crocodile is rarely ever seen but is considered to be very peaceful and mellow.
(I had hoped to make a whale or dolphin character but I haven't found a good way to do it that wouldn't make it look like Tidal Whale (Mega Man) or shark man with a different head.)

- Slime: Creatures with amorphous or otherwise squishy bodies. These critters are those who like goo and soft vore (emphasis on the soft) themes.
+ I was very surprised with how beautiful Sea Slugs are. These critters are docile and slow moving and make for fun little beach pals. A giant Sea Snail skirts the water and has a shell so big people can just crawl around inside it. There is also a Giant Clam of monstrous size of shore that is supposed to be exceptionally beautiful and uses powerful suction to build up its ever growing pearl. There is also a massive Starfish slowly lurking in the water that holds no threat to visitors but is often mistaken for boulders and upheaves rocks and sandbars.

- Shell: Creatures like crustaceans and insects that have a hard exoskeleton. These might be considered the most difficult and alien critters to work with.
+ Giant Sea Lice are aggressive and annoying creatures that tend to come in waves along with Horseshoe Crabs and Blue Lobsters. Hermit Crabs wait buried in the sand like land mines waiting in their shells. There's rumor of a monster Giant Lobster that hunts the beach at night.

- Other: Animals that do not fit into the above categories.
+ Sea snakes, turtles, mammals and birds have a lot of potential for this situation but I have not developed or found a good adaptation for MonBeach.

I installed windows onto my MacBook. Now I have both OS and can use everything under the sun.
- I tell ya, OS X is so much smoother and shinier and cooperative with the things I want to do. Windows feels clunky and disjointed on this big fancy setup I built. But that will hopefully change.
Got Open Canvas Back
- Will be nice to have a simple solid sketching program again that's not clunky like sketchbook. Haven't done an OC network session in a long while but hopefully I can get that goin again
Downloaded SAI (trial)
- Seems to be similar to OC in a lot of ways, gotta put it through its paces before the trial runs out. Seems to make my strokes longer than i intend BUT that may work to my advantage!
Discovered Flockdraw
- Thanks to goo master
modeseven I found this new okekai type program. Offers modifications that I have not yet fully explored. Does not seem to offer pressure sensetivity or layers BUT I have not looked at it in its entirety.

Posted 13 years agoSo this week started off with my girlfriend who i haven't spoken to in a month, calling my roommate about bringing some stuff to her. Skipping the details this "good girl" who was "so very happy" with me turned round as a conniving bitch and just laughed down her nose at me like a goddam anime cliche.
But today I get back in the door after an airsoft game and i find my roommates gone, along with their stuff and no info or sign of the money they owe me.
So it LOOKS like they just fucking cut and ran while i was out. My stuff all seems to be here and undamaged and I;m inclined to take the hit for getting my house back in one piece. But that basically means i've put up a whole family for a year more or less for free. I've been saying all month that i am too fucking nice and this really is the last straw.
Nice MOA is done. Not wasting my time or my money anymore.

Planning Livestream, Suggestions and requests welcome/needed
Posted 13 years agoSo i'm planning on doing an official live stream session later this week. I'm still getting used to the thing so I'm gonna throw this out there for you folks to help me out. I haven't decided on an exact time or date just yet, but I'd expect sometime later in the week or weekend.
Right now I'm considering themes and ideas for what to build the stream about. Here's some ideas:
Original sketches, limited requests.
Sale Sketches, paid requests. (NOT AT THIS TIME)
Color roughs, working on existing images, no requests
Finished colors, working on existing images, no requests (NOT AT THIS TIME)

LEVEL 5 Reached! New Equipment
Posted 13 years agoOk for those of you who ave cared to follow me, I have been on a rapid upgrade process for the last year.
In the last 48 hours i have added an Intuos 5 M and Photoshop CS5 to my MacBook Pro. I also added a Bamboo 2 in there, but i think i may have broke it a little ^^;
The previous upgrades have caused a significant amount of downtime, but these 2 new 5's should actually speed things up, especially in terms of coloring.
Sketchbook Pro is a nice drawing program but it's a tad clunky for my tastes. Can't make full use of my brushes or my tablet. So BACK to Photoshop we go!
As for the Intuos 5 M vs the large Bamboo 2, it's proven to be a competition of size first, quality second. For $200 more i only got a little bit more active area and got a larger footprint, which i don't really like. BUT having more express keys, the wheel and touch gestures (still a wonky thing) speeds things up a lot. Also, the Intuos is made more solidly, has better flow and features superior shielding against electrical interference. That last part is an important bit for you laptop folks out there.
It does however use the finest tipped stylus I have ever used, and that made me a little wary. But it comes with a whole batch of different and replacement nibs, so I was able to swap in a compressed felt nib and go.
So for those of you waiting on stuff from me, especially colors, hang in there, stuff is only gonna get better now ^^

There are still several scenes and effects i REALLY like considering my skill at the time, but the rest just pisses me off.
Oh and don't try to correct me on any of my choices of weapons, tech or setting. The facts are factual and the fiction is plausible. Your coffee table edition of Jane's and a few visits to sci-fact/fiction doesn't qualify you for squat.

New MacBook+Bamboo and some updated sketches
Posted 13 years agoOk folks, so my netbook was finally breaking down on me (my main digital sketch device up till now) and after confirming the iPad was NOT gonna win as a replacement (please WACOM, bring us the pressure sensitive tablet PC) I did the right thing and bought a full size laptop.
Now I will never claim to be a member of the Mac family, but now that my netbook has died, all my computer devices are apple products. I am a little ashamed, but I'll learn to live with it. Now I have added a MacBook Pro to the list.
Now, i couldn't get the 15in with the hi-res anti-glare screen. But I made sure to max out the RAM right out the gate (saved $140 by not having apple do it XP ). And this baby is flying. It's also a firkin SPACE HEATER!
I had been using the bamboo P&T for my sketching up till now, and i had been paying serious thought to the newer generation Bamboos. I was kind of iffy about them but after a hands on spec comparison i am VERY HAPPY that i did get the new model ^^
For you folks who miss the roughness of graphite on paper, THIS one is the closest i myself have ever found, and it's nice and precise and everything!
Right now i'm using Sketchbook Pro. I got a little bit of training with it on the iPad but you really can't compare the two. Now, it's bigger than Open Canvas of coarse, but that just means i've lost time getting it all set up. It's a love hate relationship right now.
I still need to get photoshop on here.
But i will tell ya, after working out my own tool set, i really have gotten faster and better sketch results with this setup ^^
