Shop Updates: My New pins are really cutting it close ;_:
Posted 7 months agoI had The Sun Dragon Pin in the works since last month, but they might be delayed until after de minimis is lifted and my heart is breaking at the thought of them getting caught in customs behind a 145+% paywall. Everyone wish me luck! Maybe they can eek through! 😭
On another note: Working on a small shop update, So Stay tuned for that!

Happy new year!
Posted 10 months agoHi!
I decided to write out a little letter for the start of the new year.
Happy New Year!
2024 is finally over and I’m really excited about 2025!
There were some great things about 2024. I improved my convention booth setup and focused on making merch that felt more cohesive and thoughtful, tried to do interesting and new things with each design, and got the chance to work on some projects that had been on my mind. I think the attention paid off and it gives me a lot of hope that i’m making decisions in the right direction.
Each convention was also amazing. I got to see old friends and make new ones. I got to meet a lot of amazing people! The inspiration I leave conventions with is absolutely unrivaled and I can’t wait to attend more.
In the Fall, I also had the opportunity to teach again. While I love being an art gremlin in my office, It was really nice to get out and share that knowledge with others each week.
In 2025, I want to make more art. Balancing the Business side of it, deadlines, personal projects, commissions, a new part-time (seasonal) job, and travel got to be very complicated, especially in the latter half of the year and I definitely let some stuff slow down. It definitely pushed the limits of the structures I use to keep on top of things. I miss posting more regularly and being more “here”. Stepping away from socials certainly helped in some regards, But I want to get back to more consistent commissions. There is just so much I want to do and each year it feels like I get just a little better at some part of it and learn where else I need to improve! :D
The one last note I want to end on is that I am so grateful for the patience and support I have had this year. It makes me want to keep going and keep doing more and growing!
Thank you for being amazing! I wish everyone a peaceful 2025.

General Updates and such
Posted 11 months agoHi, All! I hope the holiday season is treating you well!
I have to apologize for dropping off the face of the internet. My schedule has been a little wonky trying to balance things lately. One of my temporary jobs is coming to an (hopefully temporary) end soon though and I should become more active again after that. It's been a heck of a half of a year and I'm really excited to have the space to get to focus more on getting coms and artwork out there.

Moving Update
Posted a year agoComputer is up and working now. Still a lot to unpack and work on but the major spaces are functional and I can start back working between today and tomorrow.
Lux (my kitty) is getting cozy as well and being such a brave boy. I'm exausted and can't wait to just be sitting in one place and making art again T-T

End of Month Update
Posted a year agoAlmost a week and half left until move day. I apologize for delays and slowdowns. Several things happened all at once (nothing bad, just needing attention). Office is all packed (save for computer) and so are most non-essential items. Hoping to get the keys a hair early to pre-move tech and bones.
SHOP UPDATE
Posted a year agoBACK FROM ANTHROCON • UPDATES AND NEWS
Posted a year agoHello All!
I am back home from AC and will be resting today. I had an amazing time and am so grateful for the amazing staff and the people I got to meet and share time with!
After resting up some I'll be resuming commissions and starting the hard badge coms that were placed over the weekend. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns :)
In other news, I am also moving at the end of this month and things will get hectic closer to the move date. I ask that you bare with me when the time comes!
Through December, Commission opening announcements will slow down again to a crawl or close entirely as I will be teaching and will also possibly have my hands full with another project. My goal however is to keep updating more consistently through all of it as much as I can!
With that said, I am aiming for an Online Shop update and opening on July 15th. I am revising both my Etsy and my Home website shop with the new products and stock.
I have also made a Discord for direct announcements. I have been very much enjoying having a dedicated space on Telegram that isn't capped by a character limit so harshly! But since not everyone uses Telegram I made a small server on Discord to act as another space to broadcast announcements. There really isn't anything in there right now but I figured now is as good a time as any to make it an option. You can go HERE to join the server!

Portrait commissions have been filled up for now!
Posted a year agoAll portrait slots have been filled! Thank you everyone who shared, boosted, or responded to the posts. Be looking forward to progress being shown on my Telegram channel and on Bluesky~!
For more direct updates on com openings and new artwork and goodies I do recommend joining my Telegram channel HERE. Announcements will always be made across the board but I like having a direct feed for all kinds of stuff (WIPS, news, updates, maybe an occasional cat pic, work in progress on personal projects and merch, etc)!

Pin Pre-orders and Com News
Posted a year agoHey There! Some News and Updates here for you!
I'm opening Pre-orders for my Starbinder pin! I got a progress pic from the manu and they are looking so lovely, even before the gold finish!
See here!
> POST
You can claim one Here
> LINK
-The pin is sizeable at 2.5 inches for the base piece, not including the dangling star features.
-The blue in the mane area is translucent
-The purple in the main and the yellow of the stars, orbs, and eyes all glow in the dark!
They are still being made but I'm hoping to have them in hand for July, so They should ship out after AC if that's the case. ((or you can talk to me about pickup at AC but that's dependent on when they arrive)
I'll be making a custom backing card for them with her story.
I'm running a Pre-order deal on them for $30 (instead of $35) to help re-coup costs and give people a chance to call dibs on one before they even make it to the table if they wish XD
I have just a little more work to do before opening coms publically again but when I do I want them to be my main focus. I'll be wrapping up a project tonight and working on getting the examples together.
Most likely I will be opening Sketch coms first to get back into the swing of things after this project. This past couple of months has been a little hard to get back on top of but i'm almost there. I'm SOO excited to open for coms again.
I have also been thinking about opening traditional pieces for Pickup for Anthrocon. These would likely be Acrylic painted coms but I'm so itching to do some traditional work and rest my eyes from the screen for a little. I haven't posted much traditional work here, if any at all, but I really do like working with acrylic paint and would love to flex those muscles more! I'll try and get some examples done of what those look like and you'll have to let me know if it's of interest.
I don't really Plug my Shop a ton but I am working on getting all the listings straightened out, If you'd like to take a look at things so far it's here
> SHOP
I tend to forget if I don't post about it, people probably won't just find it lol. I have some things up on Etsy as well but It's not as up-to-date as my website shop.
I've been working really hard this year to make and design new things to bring to conventions. some of it IS definitely a waiting game. If there are things You would like to see. I am always open to hearing people out in the comments. :)

My Com Queue has been cleared!
Posted a year agoIt's been a bit since I've been truly open for commissions! I've completed the ongoing queue and I'm getting ready for a big reset! Unfortunately I have to leave town this weekend so Biggy commission openings are being postponed, I might take some small ones though so watch for that if interested!
If you are on the waitlist for a high detail painted piece of any kind I will reach out after I return.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Posted 2 years agoWishing Everyone a good "Year of the Dragon!"
I'm hoping that this year gears up to be a good one. I'm excited to see what this year brings.
2023 was full of new beginnings, failures, and successes but It was an enlightening year of growth and learning all the same!
I don't really do resolutions, the stakes for them aren't fair in my opinion but this year has seeded many new goals and desires!
Here's some of mine:
It was my first time showing at cons regularly, and I want to take what I've what I've learned and use it to inspire new work, new directions, and better balance in the new year!
I miss doing commissions more regularly and hope to do more in the next year!
I also want to expand on my OC's and their lore and some soft world-building in my personal works.
I started taking small steps to strengthen my traditional art skills again and took steps to learn skills in other mediums behind the scenes.
I want that to continue into this new year.
I want to get back on top of posting here and some other socials and work on my online shop some more too! I've tried to take strides to catch up on posting and being more active
My stake-less NEW YEARS RESOLUTION FOR FUNSIES? : Try 5 new fruits I have never had before!
If you have a fun "Resolution" or end-of-year insights of your own I'd love to hear it!

General Update -- Delays
Posted 3 years agoHello Everyone!
It's been a really hectic week or so but I'm finally out of the woods, I'm sorry for the dead-air on socials; A pretty draining array of events blind-sided me and did a number on my schedule. I'll be catching up on all communications this weekend/early next week.
I'm just happy to be back in my natural habitat. Lol

JANUARY UPDATES: Commissions, New website, etc
Posted 4 years agoHi Everyone! I think just about all the Gallery is up to date or close to it! It's around time I say Happy New Year! It's 2022 and I hope you all had a good (Or at least Peaceful) Holiday season.
I've taken some time to start to organize myself and my goals for the new year and so I'll get to it and make some announcements now!
Personal Updates:
I have a V-tube model now thanks to my beloved partner who handled all the modeling and rigging and did a splendid job rolling with all my critique. I want to stream more art and low-key games with it! It's so ridiculously cute! I'll find a way to make sure to make good use of it and get updates on that to anyone interested.
I'm making small attempts to get back into traditional artwork for a change of pace in a personal capacity. I do a lot of crafts but haven't painted with a physical medium in years. It's funny how all the ideas of how to do something are there but the actual skill can be neglected and I think there is a lot to get out of exploring that skill again.
Website Update
There is a big update to my website~! I made a new one. The platform I was using before was not something that would be able to grow much farther beyond what I had. I have made a decision that I simply want things to be more centralized moving forward. This change is going to let me manage an online store when I'm ready for it. I think the only thing that will remain connected as a PoD is my INPRNT shop because they just have better tools for quality prints than I have at the moment but I want the option to manage a space for traditional work I'd like to do or other things I want to try down the line.
If anyone happens to use the website when it launches and experiences any issue with it, Let me know. The URL will be the same. My current website will be offline for now. If you need me, reach out to me at matchapeachesart@gmail.com
Commission Updates
Commission prices are being updated for the new year. These changes should allow for a higher quality and attention to areas I feel it is needed in. I'll be slowly reintroducing the Commission types as the month goes on. I want to stress test the website a little and make sure the forms are linked up to my email properly when the site launches. I'm adjusting things like the full-body commissions and the sketches which just need more time to get updated, clear examples. Square Icons will be coming back with more options.
Full illustrations will return when my current ones are finished.
I am making updates on how I manage the queue. I have been finding it is very hard for me to focus on up to 10 pieces simultaneously when each needs different levels of time and attention. My plan moving forward is to work on 2 or 3 at a time (depending) and collect payment for the next in the queue as the previous works finish. Essentially, I've not been treating the queue as a queue and it quickly falls out of order during the month, nor can I complete certain projects at the same rate as others. I have spoken to some and come to the conclusion that I am, in fact, not a printer, much to my own dismay, and need better ways of managing my workload and this change will be made in order to deal with that.
I'm going to move my primary mode of communications for Commissions to E-mail. It is more centralized and easier to keep commission discussions and business inquiries in a single place where I can more consistently transfer files and keep track of the communications. If, for whatever reason, this does not work for you, we can talk about it but for the majority, I hope to move to E-mail communications.
Anyone on my waitlist will be updated prior to the opening announcement on Twitter and here, as has been the case.
That is all the news for now!
I have a lot of hope going into the new year and wish you all a good night! I'll be back with more updates as time goes on so be on the lookout!

Announcement: Changes to Commissions and operations
Posted 4 years agoHey!
I want to casually drop in with some updates and some news about my whereabouts and upcoming business-type things.
I've been seemingly inactive for some time just on account of a slower-moving queue and some commercial projects that came as a pleasant surprise. While I make progress on the current stack of commissions I haven't been taking on any new projects and it's given me some time to think about my current workflow and the operation of my commissions and think about how I can make things better for myself and commissioners in the future.
I take a lot of pride in the quality of my work and getting to paint a lot of really cool characters and don't want that to suffer in the slightest. Some of the changes have been a long time coming and some are more just cool updates and insights on what's up.
For one, I'm likely going to move to an E-mail only communication structure for active commissions after this current queue. I'll still take questions/initial inquiries across platforms but this is going to streamline communication on active commissions into one place moving forward. One of the many issues I've come to recognize is that my communication is spread across maybe 3 to 5 places and it gets tedious keeping track of who is on what platform. E-mail communication is probably the best equipped to handle business topics and I already handle some of them that way.
Another new update is that my website will be getting a face-lift! I'm moving to a new platform, one that has more opportunities to scale. I've been wanting to work on merch and prints for some time and would prefer to have them and commission services accessible via one location. The current platform I'm using is strictly built as a portfolio site and can't accommodate such changes very fluidly.
Another interest of mine that I would like to work up to is to start making some adoptable character designs. I eventually want to test the waters with a couple of designs of my own and see where it goes!
All in all, I've been working up to trying to stream art again and trying to consider if I want to further make use of platforms like Ko-Fi and Patreon and make some changes to the queue structure I've been using. But I'm not settled on any one direction in those regards and I won't be until I've set a clear plan in place to make them worthwhile.
I've been hanging onto a lot of work from this queue, So in time, you'll see my gallery start to update again with some new really exciting pieces!

I'm [Almost] Back
Posted 4 years agoHello everyone who reads journals!
This past month has been a bit of a bumpy road and for that, I apologize. Especially as it's meant that this account hasn't received any updates on new commission openings or Artwork uploads.
The month of July was very busy for personal matters I do not care to go into detail about and culminated in me entering August with the Plague. 🙃 Having been vaccinated, The time spent being sick was milder and shorter but still very stressful and put even more strain on my schedule. The rest of August, I dedicated myself to catching up on the works I've fallen behind on instead of taking on new pieces. I'm not going to bore you with more details but I'm working hard to make sure the comeback in September is as strong as ever. I really do apologize for leaving this account in such a frozen way.
I plan to have more updates on Commission openings in early September and maybe a couple of other fun and/or interesting new things To try! As always, My Notes and e-mail are open to questions. Feel free to leave comments! I'll try my best to respond to anything here.
If you're on a waitlist: I haven't forgotten about you, but this month has been a nightmare in getting things back to a manageable place, I will be reaching out to you first thing before announcements go live in September where availability allows. Full illustration projects will take longer to open this coming month while I focus on the remaining illustration projects I currently have open. Thank you for your patience. You are always more than welcome to reach out to me with questions/whereabouts.

JUNE COMS UPDATE!
Posted 4 years agoHi, all!
I wanted to throw down another update regarding Commissions here today!
【June Sketch Commissions are open】
I've opened up Sketch commissions currently and have 6 more slots available for them! (2 available for Colored sketches and 4 for B&W sketches but that's pretty flexible so just note or email with questions). I just got settled in and wanted to pace out the commissions for the month. :) I'll be opening slots for a few Detailed portraits and Fullbody illustrations next week. Feel free to Note me about any kind of commissions at all, though. I'm always able to talk/answer questions!
Form is Here
【INPRNT is OPEN】
I have an inprnt store I opened. If you have ideas for cool prints or any works you'd like to e on the store let me know! I'll be adding to it myself but I'm always open to suggestions! I haven't drawn any pokemon in a while .... 🤔
【Price Changes】
If you've gotten a commission from me before, you might notice the pricing bracket looks a little different now.
I've been doing Commissions full time for about a year and I've learned a lot. I've also grown a lot through commissions. When I started I wanted to make sure my prices were fair for my inexperience with commissions and, I have to admit, that my prices were based on "instinct" more than any real numbers at all. When I moved, I moved to a place with a higher cost of living and had to sit down and really crunch numbers, in part, because I noticed I already had to take on a pretty steep amount of commissions to make ends meet as is. I was unable to really focus on maintaining much of anything else and the idea of taking on more a month was super daunting for the amount of time I wanted to spend on them and the level of quality I wanted to achieve with them.
As a result, I took some time off to focus on moving and in that time, I also put on my accounting hat. I ran the numbers for how long things took me to do (Realistically, not just how long I WANT them to take), how much I would need to make in order to maintain myself and my business and how much I could feasibly take on without burning myself out and did the math. This is where the new prices are coming from. I want to be able to accomplish a certain Level of quality with my work moving forward and I cannot do that if I'm burning myself out to put food on the table. I truly enjoy working on commissions and in order to keep enjoying it, It needs to be done within a sustainable framework. It means setting more realistic goals and boundaries for myself.
In the end the changes will benefit those commissioning me as well as myself. It means I'll be taking on more varied types of commissions and be able to focus on them in a way that will positively impact the quality of work. It will mean that I have more time and energy to manage other fun things like livestreaming, speedpaint videos and other kinds of interactions and pursuits and to polish my skill/technique further!
I'm always open to talk to anyone who has questions or simply wants to discuss things. I also invite anyone to comment as well with thoughts and opinions. ^^ (Spam will be removed but, you know what I mean.)

NEWS & UPDATES :【WE MOVED】
Posted 4 years agoHello! It's time for a June Update now that we are here!
So as of the last journal, you may be aware that my partner and I were in the process of moving and so I closed up shop for a while to finish out the bulk of the remaining April queue and to focus on that. Well, We got all moved and are settling in to the new place just fine. That being said the actual move was pretty turbulent. In fact, It was so comically unlucky that the retelling becomes a stand-up comedy act. lol In short, I can tell you now that General insurance through UHaul does not cover vandalism... maybe I'll tell the full story sometime, it's quite a trip. We are still settling in and getting things unpacked and likely will be for a bit.
【commission updates】
I was scheduled to open commissions again in June. That is still underway but I have some things I need to hash out first. A big thing about this move is that the cost of living is higher and I have to accommodate new expenses so I need to go into accounting mode and crunch some numbers. This is going to change the cost of my commission work. I've been spending the past year building this into a business of my own and in order to keep doing this thing I truly enjoy doing for people I need to make sure it remains sustainable. I'll have more news on this later. Most likely what will happen is that later this week or next I will be soft-opening commissions in limited quantities and types while I establish myself in my new place. I'll have further news on the price changes later down the line.
【inprnt store open】
As part of the changes, I'm making I'm moving my prints off of Etsy. I'm no longer near the local print shop I used to do them myself So I've set up an INPRNT store. I'm getting some prints established on there but if there are any works in particular you would like to see in the store. Let me know and I'll put them on right away for you. Just comment or note me. I'll gladly take suggestions or requests on anything you believe would be a good subject for a print or poster.
The link is here right now but check back as It will take some time for me to get them all up there.
INPRNT link
That is about all for news so far. Feel free to note me anytime during this time if you need me!

MAY UPDATE! [moving, commissions, and more]
Posted 4 years agoHi, all!
This month is going to be a little different for commissions so I wanted to put out a sort of newsletter update about everything going on in case it's of interest or anyone is wondering when the next form for coms will open up.
April Queue is in progress. Anyone who has open commission projects with me should have Trello for updates but you're welcome to talk to me personally as well if there are any concerns. I'm putting a priority on finishing the last of the creative freedom coms this week and making sure I can work steadily on anything else open throughout the rest of the month so don't worry if you have a commission open with me. You will be taken care of before anything else and I super apologize for the disruption in the schedule.
The exciting news is that I'm moving! It is not the biggest move but will put us in a different location. The market is particularly fierce for rentals right now and took a ton of energy out of both my partner and me. We finally did find a very nice little place late last week but never anticipated the sheer amount of time, energy, and competition it would take us. Last month was a whirlwind of searching, applications, rejections, and paperwork but it's finally over! We'll be moving at the end of the month.
That segues into my NEXT news update: I'm taking the rest of the month off from taking on commissions. After some thought and a talk with my partner we decided it would be the best thing to do. With the stress of the apartment hunt, last month and the move looming overhead some time away will give me a chance to take care of other facets of my personal work. This will also give me chance to reevaluate and restructure parts of my commissions before I open them again to accommodate new costs of living and adjust the process to be more sustainable for the future because I'd like to keep doing this as a job. :)
I'll be preparing to re-open coms for June!
In other news, I've also been hoping to move some work of mine over to Inprnt this month. I currently have an Etsy for print orders when they come but since I will be losing my preferred local print shop when I move, I think Inprnt is will be a much better solution. I can still keep a small stock on hand but I think this will also benefit international buyers and offer more options than I can alone. I'll be sure to keep updates coming on that front. I'm always open to requests and poster ideas you'd love to see as a print so feel free to comment with ideas or note me!
