Personal updates + new pattern release!
Posted 3 years agoHi everyone!!!
I am sorry for my absence, I figured I was overdue for an update somewhere since I have been spending less time online. I've been met with quite a few challenges this past year.
First I'll share the accomplishment!! then I'll share the other news.
I've still been active a few places online, posting art to https://t.me/MatricesArt and working hard posting goodies to my patreon https://www.patreon.com/Matrices those have been important outlets for me where I can share what I've been up to. I also still ship orders from my shop https://matrices.bigcartel.com/ every week, and my etsy shop is going strong https://www.etsy.com/shop/Matrices with patterns and premium tutorials that I've been working to release on a somewhat regular basis!!
My newest one I am extremely proud of, it is my cherished handpaw pattern that I have developed over the years. Its an extremely comfortable pattern with shaped digits (puffy and slim options!) and a book's worth of guidance on how to put it together. In time I may look into getting it published down the line as its own physical book perhaps, its 40-pages afterall! which might work out in a magazine sort of format. You can find and purchase the digital version of it here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/116980.....shaped-5-digit
Now for the other news --
In my hobby time I've been doing a LOT of hiking and spending time in the forest. At home casually learning Blender and Unity so I can enjoy playing VRChat. I am sorry for my absence from many group chats and convos on Telegram and my lack of participation in Twitter. Last year's December I had experienced an elbow injury, but this year I also managed to tear a ligament in that same arm in October. x_x The injury was minor but it was along my ring finger on my right hand. I had to wear an immobilizing brace and reduce a lot of my typing and spending-time-online, since I needed to aggressively rest my dominant hand. Which was extremely difficult, you don't realize how often you use your ring finger until you aren't supposed to move it. Ack.
I acknowledge that my break from typing and by extension the internet, did contribute to less frequency of contact with people I care a lot about. As well as missing the mark on some of my own goals I had really hoped to finish, missed sending out correspondence to my friends who reached out, and missed sending letters and surprises to my penpal folks who I miss a lot. But honestly -- healing was important and resting my arm worked so well!!! The rest period also resolved the lingering tingling that I kept experiencing from last year's elbow injury. I'm really excited both issues are feeling much better now! I'm still trying to be careful about how much time I spend typing and making sure I take frequent breaks, too.
I sadly have some even less good news, this time about my doggy Turbo. He is just not doing well lately. This year his old age caught up with him quite quickly. He is 14 now. He started exhibiting and after several vet visits he was subsequently diagnosed with quite a few things happening to him. The biggie has been Canine Cognitive Decline (aka dog dementia) which has been quite disruptive. We have figured out a routine for him now, but many sleepless nights have happened trying to help him through his "night weirds" before we could get to that point (though he still wakes us up a few times in the night). More recently he has been also seeing the vet over a nasty tumor we'd like to get removed and some heart disease symptoms (a worryingly low heartbeat) preventing that. The heart stuff is preventing him from having safe surgery for the concerning lumps he needs removed and we have a test with the vet coming up to see if a treatment can sustain his heartbeat thru the potential surgery. So stuff is a bit scary for our lil pal right now. Our goal is to keep him comfortable and make sure he still has good quality of life. So a lot of my energy has been dedicated to cherishing the remaining time I have left with our favorite and only dog. :'(
Anyways, I hope that fills the gaps in what happened and where I went for a while. Thanks for thinking of me, still faving and commenting on my work, mentioning me. Its extremely treasured even if I haven't been able to reach out for reply as often as I have done in the past.
I wish everyone an awesome day, and happy crafting!

Incoming Older Art!! +Updates
Posted 5 years agoHi everyone!
I appreciate your patience with me since I have not keeping up with online social spaces in recent times. I'll admit I'm not having a great time in our new Covid affected world, lol.
I have still been creating art, and posting it primarily to a Telegram Channel found here: https://t.me/MatricesArt
Feel free to sub, it is not a chat, just a place to see my art!
I am also active with my patreon, https://patreon.com/matrices I am still diligently making new fursuit and cosplay tutorial content! Current progress is on a 5-digit puffy paw pattern that is what I have used for many projects in the past (same one you see in my gallery here!) Its almost ready to release, I spend a lot of time writing thorough step-by-step instructions with photos, and that part simply takes the longest.
I recently have released 2 premium tutorials on my etsy, one on ALL the in's and outs of shaving faux fur: https://www.etsy.com/listing/830787.....-a-close-shave
and another on free-form patterning of a fursuit head so you can repeat the same shapes in foam over and over! https://www.etsy.com/listing/777017.....orm-patterning
For now, I want to spend some time updating my art gallery however!! -- and so this journal serves to hopefully let y'all know I will be posting some older art from as long ago as 2016 and as recent as this month!! I plan to post older stuff first though. Stuff that (I dont THINK) hasn't appeared here on my FA yet, but was definitely posted elsewhere. Descriptions will likely be minimal to save time since I have a LOT to post!! And tbh I am not sure if I am ready to track down the Social Medias or Usernames of everyone the characters belong to at this time, but I may go back and tag them at a later time in the future.
Enjoy the art! Have an awesome day!

Where to find more of my work!
Posted 6 years agoDon't worry! I still plan to post to FA! I just thought it would be smart to have a place besides my profile to post a little update on where to find more of my work!
I primarily post literally all of my updates (down to as-I-am-working-on-them!) right to my Trello Queue:
https://trello.com/b/Rmlp7JTU/matrices-net-queue
My trello also includes a finished history of every single project piece I work on & complete, organized by year! Even little doodles and appointments I make. So its a fun way to keep up with the work I have planned and the work I am actively completing and have completed! I also maintain a section that is the most up to-date on if I am open or closed for new projects! (featured in the top left corner!)
I am most active socially on Twitter!
https://twitter.com/RaisedbyDogs
While I post many of the new artwork and the tutorials I make as soon as they are released to the public there, I like retweeting other tutorials I come across! I also post fun slice-of-life stuff like if my dog will take a piece of food I offer him or not. haha.
If you want tutorials before they are released to the public check out my Patreon!
https://www.patreon.com/Matrices
Everything tutorial-related gets posted there first! You can also grab a few other things there before the public can see, and your contribution also helps keep my already 80+ fursuit & craft related tutorials updated and available for everyone to enjoy! You don't have to participate big to be appreciated, even $1 helps!
My website is http://www.Matrices.net and everything tutorial related gets organized there up on the tutorials page. And I keep descriptions of all of my characters there too!
If you want to see where else I might be active, feel free to contact me! I keep all of my contact info here:

Preorder for a body pillow with my art! Ends 4/20
Posted 8 years agoI'm really excited to be doing my first preorder! I have been creating a front-and-back illustration of my character Bonk for a sfw dakimakura-style body pillowcase! I have typed up all the details for a preorder page on my website, and if you like my cute art and love to collect things like this you can find more information on this pre-order here:
http://matrices.net/preorder.htm
I will be sending invoices to interested parties, and all invoices for this preorder will need to be paid by April 20 2017 to be able to participate & acquire the pillow case!
Pass on the link to your friends who might enjoy this project! I can also send these out with a message from you if you decide to get one for a friend as a gift.
Turnaround time for production to delivery to me is 8 - 20 days. I will pack and deliver once received within 7 days. And shipping speed will depend on your country and proximity to Washington State, packages will be sent via First Class Mail or First Class International with tracking.

Telegram Chat: The WIP Zone
Posted 9 years agoI'd like to invite you to the ongoing public Telegram chat for staying inspired on our projects and sharing all kinds of sewing, making, sculpting, craft, costume work, and other project WIPs! All skill levels from professional maker to beginner are welcome to exchange ideas.
While all sorts of WIPs are welcome the chat topic often leans heavily towards building fursuits.
The invite link can be found here: http://matrices.tumblr.com/post/133303553033/
To prevent spambots its periodically updated in that post, as it was updated recently, so if you have trouble getting into the chat feel free to ping me matrices on Telegram to be invited manually. :D
Please keep it SFW (since for a lot of us this IS our work!)
Please stay relatively on-topic (don't worry a little bit of off topic is fine)
Feel free to join/leave or invite other crafty friends at any time :D

Telegram Chat: The WIP Zone
Posted 10 years agoI made a Telegram chat room for those who like to share their WIPs for sewing/making/furry crafts/fursuit work and stay inspired. Sometimes the best thing to get motivated is other crafty and creative people also working on their cool things!
For the most part this chat is focused on fursuit/furry crafts but other projects are welcome too. Professional makers & hobbyists are both welcome!
Invite link: https://telegram.me/WIPzone
Please keep it SFW (since for a lot of us this IS our work!)
Please stay relatively on-topic (don't worry a little bit of off topic is fine, but if urged to stay on-topic please respect that)
Feel free to join/leave or invite other crafty friends at any time :D
Edit: We're over 600 members now and lots of activity!
Some tips I have to offer: http://matrices.tumblr.com/post/133.....egram-chat-for
After you join there will be a "shared media" portion of the community profile showing media that was shown during your time in the chat, you can easily look back on WIP pics, Ref images, and other images that were posted during your time watching the group, as well as "shared links" which may have some good links to supplies or guides, for example!
You can also search for messages, those in the group who have posted WIP pics in the past don't mind their projects being brought up again even if posted a bit ago, be sure to ping them use @ + their username (similar to twitter mentions) that way if they have the chat muted it will be able to alert them of your compliment/comment/etc. And long-press or right click > reply so it shows the context of your mention.
Its totally fine to drop in whenever, there's makers from all over the world, so there is activity throughout all time zones. :D

See you at RF! (I got a half table!!)
Posted 10 years agoI have some extremely excellent news for everyone! I've been a bit busy lately with trying to wrap up my commissions queue and getting P E R F E C T news about emerging from waiting list limbo and having the extremely graciously thank-able opportunity to acquire a half table space, sharing with
jillcostumes at Rainfurrest! So to say the least I have been having a busy time with some fairly last minute con prep!
I was going to be there only fri/sat, but with the good news I'm now able to justify a full stay and will be in the Dealer's den with some excellent products for your fursuiting needs!
I'll have comfortable low profile Balaclavas made by yours truly(I tried to double my stock of black this time but I'll still have fun colors/prints too)!
Vinyl Sticker designs (including Huskies, Pandas, Sabertooth kitties, "Wild Beast" and a Rainfurrest-edition of Washington State, as well as
Malameux's "Nasty Yiff" and "Dog or Die" designs!)
I'll have as many oversized working prop fursuit collars as I can manage to get made in time! These are different from what you find that others make! They are soft cushy fabric with just the right thickness to look right with a fursuit!
As well as a refurbished pair of to-the-knee feet and a few other fursuit parts, props, and goodies!!
See everyone there!! :D :D

New Fursuit Tutorials!
Posted 10 years agoI am very very excited to inform you all (if you haven't seen yet) that I posted 4 new tutorials plus some extra fursuit-making info on my Tumblr page! These were tutorials I formatted for handouts for teaching at conventions and I hadn't had a chance to update my website with the new content. They were originally formatted in a "handout" format with simplified images and with content found on my website and some new added info. I put them on Tumblr for ease in formatting.
http://matrices.tumblr.com/tagged/tutorial
You can find all of my tutorials under the #tutorial tag.
The tutorials include the following content:
Making a Tail
All About Fursuit Heads
Making a Fursuit Body
and Body Padding for a Fursuit
In between that I posted how to straighten crimped faux fur, and there's also quite a few other tutorials and Fursuit-making tips I have posted in that tag as well. I also included a bunch of common Fursuit-Related questions answered, which I plan to update periodically.
Please be aware that my tutorials were never intended as "how to start your fursuit business" or to complete your commissions! So please consider that when asking me questions.
I do not run a Pateron, but if you like my work, know you can always donate via "Contact Me" on my website, http://www.matrices.net I've had a few wonderful donors throughout the years whom I cannot thank enough.
In addition to new tutorials, I also have new balaclavas available in my etsy shop! Several new colors are ready to ship! I also finished up adding some handpaws and sticker designs that I have been meaning to list. Take a look!
https://www.etsy.com/shop/Matrices
I do accept international orders for the things I sell on etsy! Please select "Request Custom Order" to get a custom shipping quote if you are outside the USA. Please include details on which products you'd like, and how many. Etsy is not smart about its shipping profiles and I can provide an accurate custom tailored shipping quote for your country in that way.
Matrices.net has also been updated slightly, to reflect new stuff can also be found on tumblr.

Stuff for Sale! Supplies/Toys/Other stuff!
Posted 10 years agoHI everyone!
I have quite a bit of stuff for sale, I recently reorganized my fursuit/craft room and found some stuff I don't think I will use anymore. If it goes unclaimed by the end of the week I will be donating some things to a local furry event raffle (When Furballs Strike) or my local thrift store that benefits a doggy & kitty shelter where I live.
I am taking OFFERS on these items, basically the best offer gets the item(s) they choose. In this case it is not first come first serve to allow time for offers to be made. Shipping is separate and will be calculated based on the items you select. I am HAPPY TO HAGGLE! So don't be afraid to change your offer if you want an item. I am located in WA state, and do not mind bringing some items to WFS for pick up there, but priority will be given tho those who have paid in advance.
There IS a browse-able gallery of these items here, but please note some items from this gallery may have already been sold or partitioned out

The typed list below will be the most accurate of what's remaining!
This is all that is left:
~~~~FABRIC:
http://i.imgur.com/qNiTnnq.jpg
White Bunny Fur Originally from Hancock fabrics, very similar/same as Cubby. 2 yards (1 yard complete with ~5 inches of a pattern taken from the bottom of the 2nd half) comes with an extra small remnant. Medium quality fur. Shipping will be ~$20
https://i.imgur.com/7so0lxY.jpg
Brown Plush Fur, Very short pile fur. Around half of a yard's length plus a little extra. Medium quality fur, backing is a little rough feeling and tends to curl up.
https://i.imgur.com/IDe3fa2.jpg
Marble Vinyl Remnant. Vintage fabric! Would make some unique paw pads and features for sure! Brown marbling with black and cream throughout (think smoke-themed character? character that matches a bowling ball, lol). Definitely vintage and has slight discoloration on the backing. Tall part is 3 feet
https://i.imgur.com/qPJU7s2.jpg
Pink vinyl with a felt backing, Has a slight texture to the vinyl. Length is around 5ft. The bit of creasing from storage may be able to be steamed out. If used for paw pads edges would need satin stitched to prevent felt backing from showing.
https://i.imgur.com/262NgGW.jpg
Purple Spotted Textured Velour, Around a yard uncut plus some extra attached remnant that extends approx another 3 feet. Plush/Velour textured with an S-wave pattern within the pile. Would make a good liner! Could use a wash to get rid of a closet-scent since it has been stored for about 13+ years (This is from my pre-fursuiting craft days, haha)
https://i.imgur.com/rgJzwW6.jpg
Purple mottled blizzard fleece remnant. About 4.5 feet long piece.
~~~~CRAFTING STUFF:
https://i.imgur.com/5lyzve0.jpg
25 lb of white ceramics clay. Fires at cone 06, can only ship to USA via a flat rate box.
~~~~OTHER STUFF:
https://i.imgur.com/Q8xsYox.jpg
DOG COSTUME! Turbo's Halloween costume I made for him one year. Corn cob and husk are made of fleece with nylon straps for neck and belly. Butter pat is worn on the head and has a soft elastic piece to go gently around neck (please reward any critter you subject this to with lots of treats!!) Leash opening in the top. Comes with some free husky fur (sorry about that!!)
https://i.imgur.com/ot2C42v.jpg
Dog-Opoly, a monopoly clone board game. I never got the chance to play this, so its totally like new! I think its like monopoly but dogs?
https://i.imgur.com/ENLlXdx.jpg
Conifur Cup trophy. You won it, you won the Conifur Cup! You didn't know it but you were there and won the fursuit games of a 2005 defunct furry convention. Way to go!
"The Wet Set" 1981 vintage tiger float. Has cute googly eyes.
Back from Furlandia!
Posted 10 years agoI am back from Furlandia! It was a small event, and I thought it was really fun! I had an absolutely wonderful time and I loved seeing Portland and it was nice to meet everyone who came!! It was great to fursuit with new and old friends and I loved the time I got to spend with everyone who stopped by my table!
I will be at When Furballs Strike in June, but beside that I'm still deciding what my next event will be! In the mean time I will be slowly bringing back up my etsy shop with the stock remaining from Furlandia, and my current commission queue is still taking priority -- so as I release new photos of my work, keep in mind I will be trying to get my queue down to only a few things before I take on more projects, for more information on that please see this journal!
Thank you so much everyone!
Back from BLFC! (I will be at Furlandia this weekend)
Posted 10 years agoHi everyone!
I wanted to post a little bit about BLFC and get a bit of feedback on my table display if you saw me in the Marketplace! I want to change up my table display for future events, and want to get feedback from clients and customers who stopped by. (Regardless of weather you purchased anything or not.)
Regarding vinyl stickers, I tried a new display for them, and I am not sure how effective it was. I used a notebook binder to display them in all the sizes available with the price in the bottom corner. I may switch back to a vertical display, though.
* Did you notice the display or did you know about it from previous advertisement?
I also made some fliers to advertise my table location, did you see them? or did you know about what I had from previous advertisement?
Thank you for your feedback!! :D I'll be at Furlandia this weekend in Portland! I also still have 1 bed spot in my room with Airless & QUERTYDragon. So get in touch, if you still are looking for a room! Fri-Sun.
PUPdate - When will I open?
Posted 10 years agoHi everyone!
I just want to leave an update for those of you interested in my work! I am very flattered and appreciative of all the custom work requests I get and I am thankful to everyone who takes the time to note or email me. I get a few questions here and there about when will I open for projects next, and I want to take the time to update that status.
At this time I am working through my current queue and will be working hard to finish these works for my current clients before I take on any additional projects.
I understand that this might be a long time to wait, ..or it might not be! At this time I am not prepared to gain the added stress of a looming waiting list. So to give those interested an idea of how close or far I am from the next spots I have, I have a public queue available for viewing here: https://trello.com/b/Rmlp7JTU/matrices-net-queue
Once that list of projects in the "to do" and "in progress" columns are moved to the "done" category I will be prepared to open again for new ones! :D
I want to make sure that my full attention is given to my current clients, so I will not be able to offer price quotes or estimates at this time. If you have a question about your current project with me, or are interested in a status update, feel free to get in touch with me at any time!
I will be attending BLFC in Nevada and Furlandia in Oregon where I will be taking some at-con conbadge projects and selling merchandise! No take-home work will be available however, since I cannot allow it to impede on the progress of current projects. Thanks for understanding, I'm looking forward to seeing you there!!!
Open for Projects! Submit your idea!
Posted 10 years agoHello!
I am happy to announce that I am now accepting project ideas for projects you would like me to create for you!
The form to submit your ideas is available here from now until the end of the month
Projects are not going to be selected on a first come first serve basis. So you know what to expect if you want to submit your idea, please know:
*Projects will be selected based on what is a best fit for my artistic style and ability, and that I think I can accomplish within your specified budget and time frame.
*Preference will be given to projects that match my artistic style, since I will excel at those the most.
*Ensure that any files shared only feature content that is "Safe for Work"
*And as a small reminder, I do not make client-designed fursuit heads on commission. I only make and sell them at auction. So if you are a fan of my fursuit heads, please keep on the lookout for auction announcements on my social media pages over the course of the year, thank you for understanding!
*The form will be open for about a week and a half time span -- if demand exceeds my ability to respond to all of the requests I may have to close the form early in the interests of keeping a short turnaround time for my clients.
I have pricing for my work available here:
http://matrices.net/pricing.asp
To get an idea of your costs, add up the features you'd like it to include and that will be a general estimate, please allow extra in your budget for markings or unique characteristics that you request.
For hourly rate projects, specify a budget -- I understand that the Furry Fandom is not used to commonly working with budgets, but each project is so unique (varying from small props to fursuit bodysuit designs) it is a professional way to approach weather I can determine if there is enough funding to purchase materials and still be paid appropriately for my time and experience on a project. It also allows a stopping point where I can ask if you desire extra features if it is in your budget. The budget is not the price you are set to pay, it is the cost you do not want your project to exceed. I use a timer to keep track of hours on projects and keep track of the time spent on each step in the process.
Conbadges are available during this opening! I have some examples of the $40 full color level
Project Openings soon!
Posted 10 years agoJust another small reminder that I will be having a public opening for project commissions, including badges, fursuit props, fursuit parts (not heads) and many of the other things that I make!
The opening will take place January 20th and the form will be available until the end of January (about a week and a half time span -- if demand exceeds my ability to respond to all of the requests I may have to close the form early in the interests of keeping a short turnaround time for my clients). It is NOT first come first serve, this will be my first time publicly opening this way so I hope to make it a smooth process for everyone! I will not be able to accept every project that comes my way.
Who do you hang out with?
Anyone I possibly can! :D
Gender
girldog
Relationship Status
around 10 years with malameux
How old are you?
30????
How tall are you?
5'5"
Are you an Artist?
Yes!
Do you have a sketchbook?
Nah, I'll draw in your sketchbook for dollars, though!
Are you a Fursuiter?
YES
Which Fursuits will you bring?
Not sure! Mukilteo, Matrices, Chelan, and Kuiper are who I'm gunna try to squeeze in. Beef Jerky is staying home because he'sat the vet being re-built.
Can I ask to wear one of your suits?
Sure! Matrices will be the only one I probably won't loan out. Chelan's hard to wear but she's still fun if you can fit in her head.
Would you wear one of my fursuits?
Yea!
Attending parties?
Maybe!
Do you drink?
Nope, only prefer regular beverages.
Can I buy you a drink?
Water, soda or coffee for me! (nothing alcoholic). My favorite is a Caramel Macchiato!
Do you smoke?
Nope
Are you attending any panels?
Definitely the fursuit parade and possibly a few things here and there if I can make it.
Stage or public performance?
Nah, not this year!
How do I identify my self to you?
Tell me your name! Pronounce it clearly, and I can be quite bad with faces/names so feel free to remind me if we've met in the past! :D pleeeeease don't be weird or make it awkward if I can't remember your name. I can weirdly remember conversations and situations with folks even from years ago but really honestly struggle with names.
Rules of engagement (physical contact)?
If you aren't sure -- ASK! I like hugs and in-character interactions while in fursuit. All my characters are g-rated. When at my dealer's table please be considerate to me and those around you and don't talk about "TMI" or "NSFW" stuff, especially if we've never held a conversation before!!
How can I find you?
I will be at my dealer's table in the dealer's room! Find the green-themed Matrices.net table, the brown haired girl is me! I also like to wear badges and stuff, so I won't make it hard to figure out who I am. If in fursuit please call me by my Fursuit character's name I'll be in-character!
Can I talk to you?
I love talking to everyone. You will probably notice I'll initiate conversation a lot, too! I am a talker, though if I politely excuse myself, let me go I probably have a thing to do!
Can I give you lots of money?
I love money. I will happily trade money for all kinds of things I made or if you want to put it towards a drawing from me. :D
Can I give you stuff?
Yes! I love stickers (i'm going to try to remember to pack some this year), I also love snacks, and I love to display and show friends any art I receive.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Hugs are a go!
Snuggles are a no!
Can I come to dinner with you?
I usually prefer small dinners rather than big ol' furry group dinners. So I will invite you in-person if you are welcome to join.
Can I invite you to dinner?
I love being invited! I may not go if its a big giant 10+person dinner however. I really appreciate and strive for one-on-one time. So dinner is a better experience that way!
Can I hang out with you?
Sure! I playing a lot of cons by ear so I can dedicate some of my free time to hanging out with folks and having a good time!
Can I take your picture?
Yes! I've got many fursuit characters that love photographs! Also I don't mind pics in person, too. Just ask so I'm ready!
How do I know if you're not looking to socialize (angry, busy or upset)?
I'll let you know! I'm unambiguous, and will let you know directly what's up if there is anything :D
Personality Type?
Outgoing, talkative, helpful.
What's your goal for the con this year?
FURSUIT! And to hopefully sell everything I made for my Dealer's Table! :D :D
Are you an Artist?
Yes!
Do you have a sketchbook?
Nah, I'll draw in your sketchbook for dollars, though!
Are you a Fursuiter?
YES
Which Fursuits will you bring?
Not sure! Mukilteo, Matrices, Chelan, and Kuiper are who I'm gunna try to squeeze in. Beef Jerky is staying home because he's
Can I ask to wear one of your suits?
Sure! Matrices will be the only one I probably won't loan out. Chelan's hard to wear but she's still fun if you can fit in her head.
Would you wear one of my fursuits?
Yea!
Attending parties?
Maybe!
Do you drink?
Nope, only prefer regular beverages.
Can I buy you a drink?
Water, soda or coffee for me! (nothing alcoholic). My favorite is a Caramel Macchiato!
Do you smoke?
Nope
Are you attending any panels?
Definitely the fursuit parade and possibly a few things here and there if I can make it.
Stage or public performance?
Nah, not this year!
How do I identify my self to you?
Tell me your name! Pronounce it clearly, and I can be quite bad with faces/names so feel free to remind me if we've met in the past! :D pleeeeease don't be weird or make it awkward if I can't remember your name. I can weirdly remember conversations and situations with folks even from years ago but really honestly struggle with names.
Rules of engagement (physical contact)?
If you aren't sure -- ASK! I like hugs and in-character interactions while in fursuit. All my characters are g-rated. When at my dealer's table please be considerate to me and those around you and don't talk about "TMI" or "NSFW" stuff, especially if we've never held a conversation before!!
How can I find you?
I will be at my dealer's table in the dealer's room! Find the green-themed Matrices.net table, the brown haired girl is me! I also like to wear badges and stuff, so I won't make it hard to figure out who I am. If in fursuit please call me by my Fursuit character's name I'll be in-character!
Can I talk to you?
I love talking to everyone. You will probably notice I'll initiate conversation a lot, too! I am a talker, though if I politely excuse myself, let me go I probably have a thing to do!
Can I give you lots of money?
I love money. I will happily trade money for all kinds of things I made or if you want to put it towards a drawing from me. :D
Can I give you stuff?
Yes! I love stickers (i'm going to try to remember to pack some this year), I also love snacks, and I love to display and show friends any art I receive.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Hugs are a go!
Snuggles are a no!
Can I come to dinner with you?
I usually prefer small dinners rather than big ol' furry group dinners. So I will invite you in-person if you are welcome to join.
Can I invite you to dinner?
I love being invited! I may not go if its a big giant 10+person dinner however. I really appreciate and strive for one-on-one time. So dinner is a better experience that way!
Can I hang out with you?
Sure! I playing a lot of cons by ear so I can dedicate some of my free time to hanging out with folks and having a good time!
Can I take your picture?
Yes! I've got many fursuit characters that love photographs! Also I don't mind pics in person, too. Just ask so I'm ready!
How do I know if you're not looking to socialize (angry, busy or upset)?
I'll let you know! I'm unambiguous, and will let you know directly what's up if there is anything :D
Personality Type?
Outgoing, talkative, helpful.
What's your goal for the con this year?
FURSUIT! And to hopefully sell everything I made for my Dealer's Table! :D :D
Save Up Your Ideas --Project Ideas accepted starting mid-Jan
Posted 10 years agoSince I have had quite a bit of demand I need to try and streamline my process a little bit. Before I just operated primarily via word-of-mouth and really that's been doing well for me, but I think I need to try a different approach this upcoming 2015.
I'm going to try a public commission opening by making a project idea form available after I get back from FC in January
You'll be able to use that to submit your project idea, be it a drawing/badge, a sewn item, or a refurbishing project. And I will be able to have the information I need up front to be able to let you know if I can accomplish your project with the budget you give me or calculate a price if one is able to be given.
This will be my first time publicly opening this way so I hope to make it a smooth process for everyone! I will not be able to accept every project that comes my way, so you know what to expect when it comes time to submit your idea, please know:
* Projects will be selected based on what is a best fit for my style and ability and that I think I can accomplish within your specified budget and time frame.
* Preference will be given to projects that match my artistic style, since I will excel at those the most.
* Ensure that any files shared only feature content that could unquestionably be considered "Safe For Work."
As a small reminder, I do not make client-designed fursuit heads on commission, I only make and sell them at auction. If you are a fan of my fursuit heads, keep on the lookout for auction announcements over the course of the year! Thank you for understanding!
In the time leading up to my opening, I'll be updating my website to be more concise as well as make the project pricing be available in one place rather than scattered all over like it is now. So please be patient as I get these things updated in advance. I will be announcing this opening via Twitter and FA primarily, so please check back. The form will be up for a duration of time that will allow for sufficient time to submit your project's idea, no need to rush it will not be first come first served. I will post an announcement later when I have all of that determined.
I'm looking forward to bringing your projects to life! Thank you for your interest in the things I create!
Pricing Updated!
Posted 11 years agoHi everyone!
My etsy is now restocked with stickers and balaclavas and collars! I've been working hard on some client projects, and now I'm slowly getting back up-to-date on emails. In an effort to help me and potential clients out I thought I'd take the necessary time to streamline a bit and have updated my pricing page with illustrated product visuals as well as more clarity in the pricing for available options.
My pricing can be found here: http://www.matrices.net/pricing.asp
My etsy shop can be found here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/matrices
Unfortunately I am not able to reopen for commissions again until I am confidently caught up on emails and getting in touch with the folks whom expressed commission interest before and during Rainfurrest. So please save up those project idea emails for a little later, I will likely make my announcement on Twitter.
In the mean time, I am rather excited because this new pricing clarification, this will help me when time comes for the those patiently awaiting replies on project pricing. Thanks for your patience!
Back from Rainfurrest -- Etsy restock SOON!
Posted 11 years agoHello everyone!
Gosh I had so much fun at Rainfurrest, I did well this year dealing in the dealer's den and I was able to escape and host one panel as well as attend the parade, ice cream social, and some of the art jams.
If you had the chance to capture a photo of one of my fursuit characters -- Luckyyyyy!! I was only out a few times and didn't nearly fursuit as much as I had in the past. I would love to see your pics! Chelan went out Thursday, Mukilteo and Binturong went out friday for the dance, Beef Jerky was only out for the fursuit parade with Binturong. And
malameux and I didn't get a chance to suit at all Sunday.
I have just a few leftover balaclavas and collars that I will be stocking on my etsy shop once I get my client emails sent out and my left over merchandise organized and unpacked. All the footpaws I brought along sold, though despite much admiration, the hooves I had on display didn't sell at the event but I got so many wonderful compliments on how comfortable they were. They will be in my etsy shop for sale soon.
It was such a pleasure to see everyone again this year, and I was grateful for the opportunities I had to chat with everyone who used my tutorials to make their incredible creations!!
Thank you everyone for a wonderful event!
