General | Posted 13 years agoGood morning to you all!
A couple days ago, I figured that I would try to construct a series of price reference guides. I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to start on it. But I digress; I hope that it's good enough to attract new clients nonetheless. It won't be fancy with textured backgrounds, ultra-stylized text, and whatnot (like Photoshop or Paint Tool SAI or anything like that). Remember, I have a little toy of a drawing program called Sketchbook Pro. It's good and efficient, but allows not much room to explore and stretch my legs, so to speak.
All that complaining aside, I have been able to get a better drawing pad: Wacom Bamboo Connect. It was $64.00 (lowest price I could find after days of searching. Found it on Amazon.com, and it was a better price than even Ebay!). Good news is that it also comes with a version of Corel, which is quite the program. Unfortunately I set aside the one I got with my current Wacom Bamboo Pen in favor for the simpler Sketchbook Pro (and then promptly lost the damn box). Needless to say, I was a newb back then. But Corel... darling... I need ya back!
Anyway, thanks for reading my entry! I'll probably update it weekly (for those of you who are all obsessed with what goes on in my life... >_> )
Haha, just kidding. Have a great day, everyone!

General | Posted 13 years agoIt's almost exactly four months since my last journal. Every time I see that, I feel like I've been so out-of-touch with, well... everything lately. However, I've climbed out of that emotional rut I seem to get into every year and I have some new art to show. Commissions are fairly steady at 2 or 3 at a time. It's a comfortable pace for me, and it keeps my turnaround at a usual decent pace.
I'm still trying to get into things like college and work so that I can move on in life, but so far things don't seem to be working out that way. Out of all the terrible things I could feel, the worst for me is feeling stagnant in life. Whatever happens though, at least I'll be able to do what I'm passionate about, which is making art. Especially for others.

General | Posted 14 years agoIt's been well over a month since my last journal... but why bother? No one seems to read them, but whatever.
I've been trying digital art a lot more nowadays. It's going well, but I feel limited by my program, which is not nearly as powerful as Photoshop, or even GIMP, for that matter. But it's user-friendly with a nice, self-explanatory layout of tools. It's called Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, by the way. However, I'll probably be installing GIMP as well. I'll try to put out more digital art, and there definitely will be visible improvement over time.

General | Posted 14 years agoWell, I'm finally getting out of my period of artistic hibernation (vis-a-vis commissions). Yes, I am opening five spots for commissions as of 11 December, 2011! I do sketches, line-art, grayscale, colored characters, full color pictures, reference pages, and even posters. Now I will be making digital sketches for added convenience, just $5 USD each! Contact me anytime at blade_fragon[at]hotmail.com or in a note within the website if you have any questions, or refer to my Commission Information on my home page. See you soon!

lelouch_utsukukitsu is in dire need of help as of late. Donations would be much appreciated, willing to write stories and do pictures for commissions. Here is a link to his journal:

Once again, any help given is much appreciated by both of us. Thank you!

General | Posted 14 years agoI'm on a dry spell for art right now. I can't seem to muster up the motivation to do much of anything art-wise and I'm even losing interest in video games (which I normally love). Am I becoming clinically depressed? I can't imagine how. There's no apparent reason for me to. Maybe it's some unresolved issues I need to pray about. In the meantime, whatever happens happens. I will be posting more art here that I have finished, if FA servers so choose to let me.

General | Posted 14 years agoIt's been almost a month since this site started being a jerk and not letting me upload my artwork. But I've decided to give another chance. I have a new browser, and even a new iPod Touch! That aside, I'm looking forward to the fall and winter months. It's always my favorite time of year.

General | Posted 14 years agoI can't believe the month's almost over... it went by so quickly O.O
Anyway, if you're wondering why I haven't posted anything else on here is because the server STILL won't let me. I'll keep trying, but I really am getting annoyed ._.

General | Posted 14 years agoOkay, I'm kinda freaking out... I can't submit artwork on here because of an Error 500, or something. This has been happening for the past two days! D8<
In the meantime, I will be updating my DA. If anyone has extra time to waste, they can go to deviantart.com/SlipstreamParhelion for some other arts of mine. See ya there (hopefully)!

General | Posted 14 years agoA NOTICE TO ALL WHO CARE:
I finally updated my profile info (it still said that I was 17! It sure has been long overdue!) Anyway, I'm slowly working my way up to being able to take commissions again. Maybe I will do an art trade or two. In the meantime I have to worry about graduation and college admissions and stuff. Take care everyone, and I'll see you again soon!

Well, a lot has happened with me in the past few months. I'm nearing graduation, but I certainly don't feel as happy about it as I probably should. I apologize that I don't have anything positive to say, really. Nothing anyone would care about, at least. I'll try to make my next journal a happier one, though. See you then.

Wow, hard to believe it's been a month since my last journal. I've been really lazy... or just preoccupied. Depends on how you wanna think of me :p
A lot of things have happened this past month, such as my birthday and such. I've become a knife collector and look forward to getting a whole bunch more cool weapons in case of anything ^.=.^
Not really sure what else to talk about, so see you 'till next time--

I have not been online as much as I usually am lately. Been busy with other things. I have two new pieces of art that seem to be getting quite a bit of attention on my Facebook page, which is great. A lot of thought, patience and pain went into those pictures. I hate to have to part with them when I mail them to my client tomorrow... *sighs*

Well, it's time for another journal, I guess. The only noteworthy thing I can think of is that I saw part of "Alpha and Omega", part of "Red" and all of "Hereafter." They were all good movies, but Hereafter was excellent. Another great Clint Eastwood film! =D
I had a good time seeing those movies yesterday.
Lately I have not had much motivation for drawing. I seem to keep messing up and having to start over on the same pieces. I need some inspiration... TT.TT

Well, I'm kinda feeling really down lately. Stress in everyday life is making me sicker it seems. I had applied for a job recently--going to be my first one--I really look forward to making some steady income. *sighs* right now I feel like I'm gonna get nowhere in life, especially with my drawings. It seems no one is interested in purchasing commissions right now, and I'm considering closing down my website. Business has been too slow for it to even be worth the effort. Well, I'm gonna go play some video games and hope that Costco calls back...

Nothing much to say today, but I'm bored and I wanted to write a journal anyway :p
I think I'm just gonna catch up on drawing and finish some old pictures I started on. I want my paws to be nice and sore by the end of the day.

Well, I have finally made a Twitter account. It's going to be quite a challenge dividing my time between managing this account, a Facebook, a Twitter, my website, and all three of my email accounts. But I will somehow find a way. I always find a way ^w^
For those who are wondering, you can follow me at: twitter.com/ObaneMatsuki. Also, I want to give a BIG shout out and thanks in advance for everyone who follows me and I will correspond ASAP. :3

I have no notes.... retrospectively, it makes sense because I have made no notes. Because I have nothing to write. I'll just keep writing in my little old journal. That's... pretty much it. Oh, and I--never mind.

I fear that once again I must buy my own holiday gifts this year, LOL
It's not even noon yet and I feel like I've had a really long day. Now I must mail the last of my previous set commissions to a client so he can get it at least sometime next week. It's my first poster-size commission and it was a blast to make! If I can make a decent photo of it, I will post the picture after he receives it.

Well... I feel pretty good, but tired at the same time. I just made my own website and it's been pretty exciting! It took a really long time, though. Ugh... but Thanksgiving is coming up and I'm feeling inexplicably... just... down lately. I'm not having good feelings about tomorrow's celebration. At all. There is tension in the household that I would NOT like to be part of, but I cannot seem to escape it. Hopefully my art gets more attention on my website:

Well, like I had promised, I'm checking my FurAffinity page almost every day now. After over half a year of having this account, I have only 200 or so pageviews. Don't get me wrong--I appreciate the ones that I have, but... I don't know... a lot of time and pain and patience goes into making every one of these pictures, and I'd thought they'd get more attention. Oh, well. I'm just waiting until I can afford to create my own website--seems to be the only solution left, I suppose. Or make a Twitter, which I REALLY don't feel like doing.

Today has been especially painful... I don't know what's going on inside my torso, but it's NOT good... perhaps I'm pregnant? lol, jk x3
On the upside, I did finish a rather nice picture for my mate, WAY ahead of schedule. When I started, the draft sketch turned out so well that I became really enthusiastic about finishing :3
I haven't had that kind of non caffeine-induced motivation in months...
