Just wanted to check in after my last journal - I’m doing a lot better and finally starting to feel like myself again. If all goes well, I should be properly back to drawing as of this weekend, and my regular-ish schedule should start settling back in shortly after.

Commissions are still open, and I’ll be easing back into replies and progress at a more consistent pace. Thank you so much for being patient with me while I got my footing again - genuinely, it helped more than you know.

I won’t go into too many health details, but I am still working. Welcome to share more context, I don't get to yap about it too much. More or less, I just need breaks sometimes, so replies or progress might be a little slower here and there. Still going strong!

Just to preface, I truly cannot make this up. Tonight we had a large chargeback come through. It was unrelated to artwork and tied to a physical item sale, but the timing was… not great, especially when I’m already needing to line up more commission work to cover meds this weekend. They appear to be searching usernames from comments on my FA posts (such as people claiming YCHs or commissions) and then reaching out directly while pretending to be me.

Please note:

- I will never message you first on Discord or any other platform not listed in my FA bio

- I only share my Discord, Telegram, or email after initial contact has been made through FA notes

- If someone messages you claiming to be me without prior FA contact, it is not me!

- I have made a placeholder Discord account under the username MawsJaws to prevent further misuse of the name

- If you receive a message from someone impersonating me, please report the account

- If they provided a PayPal email, please report that as well

Just wanted to post a general update! Things are going well - I’m just a little under the weather as I type this, but still chipping away at everything.

I’ve been working nonstop behind the scenes, finishing pieces and catching up on my queue. I know I’ve been posting a LOT of YCHs lately, which might look like I’m ignoring other work, but I promise that’s not the case at all. YCHs are helping me keep things stable while I push through the rest of my workload, and they’ve been a huge help during a really tight stretch. Thankfully, all my bills for the holidays are taken care of now, and things are calming down.

I’ll be continuing to post new YCHs regularly while I work through my current list. I’ve got completed pieces and updates going out soon - if you haven’t heard from me yet, feel free to give me a little bump here or on any of my socials. I never mind it, and it helps me make sure nobody gets missed.

I really wish I was joking, but someone somehow got my info and pulled over a grand from my bank. It’s on hold now and I’ll be dealing with the dispute tomorrow, but it’s been a lot on top of everything else.

I’ve already been working myself to the bone just to keep up, and I barely had enough put aside for rent and to stay comfortable. So if you see more YCHs or commission slots popping up, it’s not me being desperate. I just really don’t want to lose my home or my livelihood. Any support right now helps more than I can say



(I do have a lot of work on my plate at the moment - I am working from home and will need to set aside a lot of my other works in favor of art since It's something I know if I push myself I can do a lot and do it well)

Sorry for the quiet lately. We went on a trip to visit some friends (everything was paid for ahead of time), but we’ve ended up temporarily stuck in the US. We’re on our way to a land border and hoping to be home tomorrow.

In the meantime, I’m opening emergency commissions to help cover a place to stay for the night and any unexpected costs. I’ll be able to start work once we’re safe and back home. Please just let me know if there’s something youre interested in and if you have a set budget. Just want to make sure we have someplace to eat and sleep tonight.
