Hey all. Phew, what a weird couple months.
I haven't spoken to many since coming back from FC in January. I'm not sure what happened, I don't feel I suffer from depression but my progress slowed right down. It didn't help that my night job has ramped up a little bit and the flux of newly arriving and departing employees has my shifts piling up a bit. I usually don't get into my art when I have to go to work so that could be it. Could also be distraction, making plans to travel quite a bit this summer, including taking my niece to Japan and keeping tabs on my mom, who is slowly heading towards an elderly care home.

But hope is not lost, I still have thr drive to draw when I can, I just need to get rid of my bad habit of waiting until I have a pile of art to post and just post when things are done instead of making people wait and I do apologize for that.

I was going to post art on the weekend but then I heard about  GeneCatlow and I wanted to get a quick tribute up for him first and then i thought I don't want to muddy up his memory by burying the tribute under my stupid porn, so I'll leave his post for today and resume tomorrow. R.I.P. my friend.

Well as the title says -Twitter. I swore if off as I have enough distractions on my plate but after AC last year and trying to keep in contact with a list of people, I thought this was the better way. I can tell everyone at a convention (who follow me) where I'll be/what I';m doing in one shot.
And it will be tested soon. I will be attending some conventions that I have no artist alley or dealers room to set up shop in. So I will do what I did at AC last year-take commission slots and payment before the con and draw there, passing art back before the weekend's over (for the few I missed, you will see those soon) But at least with Twitter, i con let people know where to find me. I know I know, I'm pretty late with it, things just got tied up with family and work and trip planning.

Speaking of planned trips, I will be attending FC this coming weekend so if you see me, please come by and say hi and ask about requests. I'll probably be hanging around with Gideon and Club Stripes tables or just wandering.

So I once again wanted to thanks folks for their patience and support. I'm slowing killing old pics and taking a little time off the net to brush up on my coloring and drawing practice. (but I need so much more) which is why you haven't seen me post in forever. So I'll be slowly posting stuff today while I gety my last day prep done.

Hey all, I hope you guys are doing okay.

As the title suggests, I've been busy in all aspects of my life lately, trying to sift through it all and get you guys some more content.

Mostly though I've been doing some self inspection and finding myself lacking, so I'm trying to improve myself anyway I can.

IN ART: Working more on the computer, trying out newish wasy to color, taking my time more and watching other artists streams to see how they do things. Working on the tablet more often and getting used to drawing direct to the computer. Trying out some new drawing techniques on paper, seeing what fits and what doesn't. I still need to go back (in time? I wish) and re learn my anatomy to give myself and you guys some better content. Planning a patreon to start when I finally get backlog done so I can work on some of my own stuff and get some comics and stories out, I've been neglecting my worlds for too long and that needs to change.

IN WORK: Not too much of an expansion here but got my forklift training (Well, pallet truck, specifically) and have been getting more shifts than before, so earning more money in the process but kinda distracts from the art during the day but the surface pro 3 has come in handy and I've been practicing Clip Studio Paint on it during low work time, I think it's paying off.

IN HEALTH: While not exactly where I'd like to be, I've been changing my diet and walking more lately. I need to do a better job at weening my self off the junk food but at least it's not as bad as my younger days.

IN GAMING: well, this one is not so important but it's a step towards doing different things to expand my experience. Purchased Street Fighter 5 on a sale and decided to give it a shot online, something I never really did before-fight perfect strangers. It's odd, I used to be an arcade kid and never shied away from fighting games with strangers before but this time I was kinda giddy/kinda nervous and after the first few fights I would notice my heart rate increased. it's a shame you can't send messages to the people you fight but I can see that being abused so maybe it's for the best. (I still want to find the Mika player who kept beating me and rematch them)

All in all, learning new things.

So I will be posting some more stuff soon, had a lot of visitors and events that passed by that has been keeping me busy but I am killing backlog I swear, I just have this bad habit of retaining pics in my folder until I got a bunch done and then release it, while making for some fun art dumps, doesn't help the people patiently waiting on me. I appreciate all the customers, just got to get myself sorted out and provide for them.

So I hope you guys stick around and see what's coming up next, thanks for all the patience and support. :)

Anyhoo, just wanted to give big thanks to all the birthday wishes and art i received today, love you guys and gals, keep being awesome.

but onto the important stuff, those pesky commissions...which are just about one. yes, even the ones you specifically were waiting for!

I had traveled to my hometown (Stephenville, Newfoundland) for the past 2weeks, I was sup[posed to return home on the 7th of august but a schedule mix up forced me to extend my trip to help take care of mom, so i returned on the 10th. Got off the plane, got home, grabbed dinner, went to sleep. 6 AM the next morning I'm on my way to FAUnited (here now)

So I wanted to use the short break between to do art and stuff (since I took the days off work anyway) but since that didn't happen I did what commissions I could in my parents house. (which made it tough to draw anything NSFW)

So when I get home monday I'll start posting the ones I got done and finish off the others that need it. Most things are drawn, now it's time to sling ink.

I was way too busy in may (4 conventions) and let my time slip away, long story short I missed out on getting an Artist Alley table at AC so I wanted to propose something. It's similar to what I did last year.

I will be taking 40 commissions for the weekend.
You must be attending Anthrocon so i can deliver them to you. (I'll be working in my hotel room so i can get more done faster)
these will be done at anthrocon, and not added to any list after, nothing to be done at home. (unless time runs out)
only 1-2 character commissions, no groups, no colors. (will be inked, my usual deal)
$42 for one character, $64 for two character.(includes paypal fees) First come first serve payments can be made through paypal to keep money crossing hands to a minimum. If you do not have a paypal, we will arrange something.

I will make a post for people to reply to below, after i count forty I will stop and list them.
those listed can then email me here: (maxblackrabbit0[at]gmail.com) and give me descriptions. ( I will complete them in order once I arrive at the convention. Please include your FA name, your paypal (if you have one) and how to contact you in the email.

If I don't fill the list by the time I arrive at the convention, (Wednesday night) I'll do what i can to sit in the alley when space opens.

Hi all, it's been a while.

Lemme start off by apologizing for disapearing for the better part of 2 months. It's been a busy time. Work has been ramping up. (or at least the amount of times I'm being called in is.) and the more I work, the less I feel like drawing. There's been some family issues as well and the brothers and I are trying to deal with that as well.

That's really not an excuse though. I'm not sure what happened but after (or even a little before) Furnal equinox in Toronto I just felt 'out of it.' just not producing enough and feeling bad about letting you guys and myself down but not really working hard enough to fix the problem. I did get some commissions done and delivered but smaller deadlines would keep cropping up and then if I went to work that night, I felt less inspired to start. and the few days off I would get would be full of errands or seeing people I don't usually see on the work days.

Ugh, it was all pretty much a messb ut I didn't want to 'tweet' about it constantly cause I'm not one to complain, I don't like complaining unless it's important.

But then i got myself down to AnthrOhio (formally known and Morphicon) and just meeting friends there I haven't seen in a long while and getting some art out for fun instead of just work or owed stuff made me feel better, so I came home today with a renewed feeling and ready to put nose to grindstone again.

Apologies to all who have been waiting and writing, thanks for those who supported me all this time. I'll be writing back to everyone soon.

I love my mom dearly but since my brothers asked me to take care of her for the remainder of her trip (til the 12th) most of my adult themed art has slowed, you'll see some updates once the trip is over. Sorry for the wait guys. It's been one thing after another since FC.

Just wanted to touch base and apologize for being away so long. I had a good Furpocalypse, thanks for all those who attended and showed some love, financial and othewise. Had fun dressing up, my first time over the border in costume.

Work has been keeping me busy since I got back so my art has slowed down but I finally got some time to fix and resize some scans so it's time to post some art again.
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoy some art. For the sake of speed, I'm just going to post willy-nilly and if I miss the name, feel free to update me. These are gonna go back a good ways so if I miss/forget something (like don't post) send me a PM and I'll fix what's wrong. In the meantime I got a bunch of others sketched and just need to ink so you'll see some new ones posted in a short while.

Hey gang, it's been a while since I've written. Sorry about that, work has been keeping me pretty busy, which is both good and bad. :)
Anyhoo, here to announce a couple things. I'll be posting a bunch of art and overdue commissions today after I do some chores (Finally a day off)
And that I'll be going to Furpocalypse this coming weekend. But because I'm stupid (stupid busy) I didn't pre-reg and because I ran out of time to do that, I also missed out on Artist alley tables so I wanted to try something like what I did a couple times at AC. Here we go:

This is for the people who are attending Furpocalypse ONLY.
I will take 30 single character, inked commissions to be done at the convention ONLY. These will cost $40 each but if there are lots of crazy extras, i may charge a little more.
I will do 10 of those a day in my hotel room and I will wander the con or be in the zoo to hand them to people.
If I do not reach 30 or finish them with time to spare, I can take some at the convention as well, come ask if you see me.

Hey gang, I'm back from 2 trips. Been to MFM and FA:U, had fun at both and am back and ready to work on that backlog. (not too many left now)

People at the cons were telling me that FA had gotten a folder system which I have just went over my entire gallery and collected into. But there was something odd. I found a lot of my pictures moved to scraps (so I moved them back) and I felt I wen through my gallery pretty quickly...were some of my pictures removed?

So that's my question to folks who may have noticed, are pictures being removed from the site? Was there an update I was not aware of or some new rule passed? Worst comes to worse, I just post them again. Not too big a deal, just curious.

So anyway, back to the grind, I was drawing at work last night and really feeling the want to get things done, lets see what I can do before the job knocks it out of me again.

Just wanted to shoot out an apology for practically vanishing after AC. Spent some time in Philly afterwards anmd on my way back home I got a call for an interview so for the past 12 days I've been working and crawling myself back into a drawing mood. and tonight at work I was finally sketching up a storm and it feels good.
So my birthday presenbt to myself is getting my groove back. :)

So I'll be posting some stuff throughout the day and finishing some owed commissions while I'm at it. Man I dunno what happened, I just got into a funk and barely put pencil to paper, thinking about all the things I gotta do and practice....so much to do.

Hey all, I'm finally beck from my Ac convention/vacation, time to get back to the grind.
I was hoping to start taking commissions (home commissions) this month but I still have a handful left and a couple little projects to do and lo and behold, I got an interview for a job at the end of the month so there's a chance I'll be working next month.
Which doesn't mean I won't take commissions but I won't take as many as I planned if hired.

What I originally planned was that if I can take and complete 10 commissions in one day, (black and white and without distractions) then surely I can do ten in a week. So I was going to try that but now that I have a job offering, I'll wait until I see the schedule to let people know what I can and can't do.

I'll slowly post some stuff while I work over the next few days, thanks for all your patience and talk to you soon. :)

Well it's 4AM on Monday and everyone is winding down. I wanted to thank everyone who helped make this a successful con for me and I'd like to apologize to those I've upset by being sent home without a nice picture in your hands. I will make contact with you soon.

Hi all, I have arrived at AC and will be seeing you all in the artist alley.
There's something I did last year when I arrived this early, I took 10 single inked characters for $40 rach but only for people who were attending the con(so i had no take homes.)
So I want to try that again. I'll be checking notes all Thursday. If people want a commission before Artist Alley opens AND will be attending AC, please send a note with a description of the idea and some character reference. I'll see how many I can do before the doors officially open.

I didn't know him as well as others but I did meet him and stayed in the same house as him for short visits. He even brought me my insulin to the airport when i forgot it once. Always with the jokes and snappy chatter. He will be missed.

hey all, sorry for the silence around here, just got busy lately. As some of you have seen, getting through my old commissions, thanks to all of you for being patient with me, all will be done soon.

On the medical side, things are doing good, hope it stays that way for a while yet.

At least I'm feeling well enough to travel and should be seeing those of you who attend at Ohio Morphicon this coming weekend (April 30 - May 3)

Back from Toronto, thanks for all the well wishes and concerns. Furnal was great but kept me busy enough I didn't get to hang out much. It was good to see new people and people I haven't seen in a while, I hope you al;l had safe trips home.
