Just a few pre-MFF notes about Twitter and FA.

First off, THANK YOU ALL for helping me make it to 2000! While it's since dropped down to 1998, there is already a winner for the 2000 comic raffle! :) It really means alot to me that you guy support my Twitter that much. I really enjoy Twitter. :3

The other thing I must speak about is FA. Since FA is having notification issues, I am not willing to upload any of the recent artwork I have gotten from commission artists until the issues is fixed. I don't really see the point of ANYONE uploading art to FA right now. So expect to see a flood of a few icons and badges once that dumb Admin notice goes away. Looks like they are almost done. Should be posting that art (and Roughneck photos! :O ) when I get back from MFF.

I don't really catch up much in journals here, so I thought now would be a good time to talk about what's new in my furry world.

Roughneck:

He's almost done! My second ever fursuit is only a few weeks away from delivery and I am very excited! The deposit was paid back in June and It's been a long wait for me. It's even harder now that I know he's under construction. I feel like a 5 year old kid who keeps sneaking into the closet to shake the gifts that soon should be under the Christmas tree. :D I should have Roughneck in time, perhaps shipped directly to the Hyatt in Chicago, but I'll have it. For sure. I trust Soki to make Roughneck amazing. I am very excited to own a suit by him. :3 If I get Roughneck well before MFF, I will most likely find the time to get a photoshoot with him online before I head to Chicago. :3

MFF:

Only a few weeks away is my trip to Chicago and my first ever MFF! :D I am very excited to meet some east coast furries for the first time. Also, I have heard so many awesome things about MFF! The biggest and best con out there! So exciting! :D The new MFF dates make it possible for me to attend. I really hope they keep them! :D Besides new fursuit excitement, I am looking forward to experience a new con. I don't get to do it much, and when I do I have loved it! Like my first FC last year. Sucks I can't go back to FC again, but I have a good replacement! :D

So it's been a while since I did one of these. I really should do more post con journals. I guess the trick is keeping it simple. Don't try to organize it or nothing, just talk. XD

So about a month ago, I started making last minute plans to attend BronyCAN in Vancouver. Since it was sorta last minute, I was only able to stay one night. I arrived early friday morning at about 9am. Unfortunately, it turns out that friday was the con's "half day". Where was only staff and about 10 people waiting in line when I arrived. I left the next day at around 8pm (right when the dance started, sad face).

After I got all unpacked I found Phin and said hello. He was pretty busy that weekend. I pretty much NEVER saw him in his room all weekend. He worked all day and did CCG tournaments all night. :3 Me, I mostly was in Shining Armor (big surprise XD). The other half of my time I was out of costume I was taking photos and browsing around. It was very very difficult to ponysuit more then an hour at a time. While our room was in the middle of the con space (AWESOME), the hotel was still SUPER HOT. The hotel had alot of windows and a very wimpy to average A/C system, which turned it into a giant greenhouse. Even out of ponysuit it was super warm. So we had to really limit our sessions. However, I was in suit enough to get on camera for CBC! :D (see below)

All in all the con was ALOT of fun, and there was alot of people who surprisingly never have seen Shining Armor cosplay but online. I just kinda assumed that the mass majority of attendees had already seen me last month at Everfree. But no! Shiny was a new thing for alot of people and many really enjoyed him. Also, my arm felt ALOT better by Saturday and I was able to use my Cadence pillow after all! When I arrived friday morning, my arm was so bad I couldn't even lift my arm. Turns out all it needed was a little air. I left my bandage on too much.

So anyway, I'm glad I found the time to go, as short as my stay was. :) Very special thanks to  aphinity for being so accommodating, as well as working so hard. He was like full time con-ops. I am for sure gonna find a way to attend next year! :D

PS: YOU LOCAL SEATTLE BRONIES NEED TO GO NEXT TIME! The only complaint I have is that I saw next to NO Seattle bronies/furries there! Guys, lets GO next year! So willing to drive yall up!

As many of you may have noticed, in the last 6 months or so I have gotten really into the whole fat fur/pooltoy/inflatable scene.

Before I start on my rant, lets make ONE misunderstanding CLEAR: THIS IS NOT A FETISH FOR ME. I am not sexually aroused in ANY way to fat fur/pooltoy/inflatable themed art. It's just not something that rings my bell. I love it for other reasons, so PLEASE do not ask me to RP with you or make inappropriate comments about my fatty/squeeky submissions. Thanks.

FEW. Now that that's over, lets talk about roundies (what I call fat/inflatable stuff). I started getting into it about... oh... 6 months ago. It was part of my campaign to try new "themes" in the fandom. Mostly because my ideas for commissions was drying up and I needed inspiration. Not only that, but I'm a big fan of trying new things. So, I got some pooltoy/fatty art. I enjoyed them alot! Not sure why, but I think it strums my cute strings more then anything. Never though fat art could be cute, but it is. The pooltoy/inflation stuff is cute, but I more see it being cool. Just cause it's kinda reminds me of playing with REAL pooltoys since alot of my IRL friends have them alot, and I have many awesome convention memories of chilling in the pool with friends trying to ride them. XD

But, with all that said, I am a little worries about you guys. I know some of you might be kinda upset about this? I dunno, maybe I'm just being paranoid. I recently had a GOOD IRL friend of mine unfollow me from Twitter because they were upset about the pooltoy art they saw on my feed. They said it was nothing personal and we're still buddies, but I can't shake it off. It keeps bothering me. I guess It doesn't mean I'm gonna stop doing what I love, but it makes me curious if "roundy" art offends people. Does it really? I don't commission porn, and I never will. But even clean fatty stuff? I don't get it. I'm curious to hear what you guys think about fatty/inflatable stuff.

Anyway, besides all that, I plan to continue getting roundy art, as well as continue to expand into new themes and ideas. I just worked out a deal with Jaeh to do a MASSIVE (no pun intended) 8-10 page macro/growth comic (PG rated or course). I'm really excited about that one, and will probably be done sometime mid-late 2015.

The last three days have been a MASSIVE flood of art into my gallery. I hope you guys have been as pumped (no pun intended) as I have!

Mostly I wanna make sure you new watchers from the last few days realize that I DO NOT usually post this much artwork. This was a fluke delivery of art within a 48 hour period. So, I like to kinda write a journal now and then to keep yall apprised of what the fuck is going on with me. Mostly just so people know I'm not dead and I have some kinda drive in my life. lul.

Anyway, My furry life is gonna start slowing down. Not because I want to, but because of MOONEY. Getting a new fursuit is nice and all, but that's the other half of the coin. Money. So, that kinda means I gotta cut back on commissions. Alot of my furlife is comms. It's half my passion. What I do between fursuit outings. So, yeah, that will kinda suck. But I gotta do it.

So, soon to finalize my fursuit deal in a few days. Send out another payment on it. Not QUITE at the point I wanna announce the suit and the design yet. The ref IS done, but... not yet. If I know you personally, then I've probably already shown you my new fursuit on my phone. XD It's not super secret, I just don't wanna wave that flag around till closer to December.

The other things on my furry agenda is getting a camera. I decided to get a REALLY fucking nice DLSR camera. I blame singahthelion cause he always let me take photos for him at furmeets and his camera is BOSS. I want one! XD It wouldn't just be for fursuit stuff either! Working at the airport ON the tarmac offers some WONDERFUL photo ops for planespotting and other fun aviation things. I would love to use it at work too. NO IDEA, how I can afford it this year, however. I'd really want to have it before MFF, but I don't know how money will be.

Money: My job is on the CUSP of signing a new labor agreement. IF it's signed, I get about 3 grand. That would loosen things up and open up the POSSIBILITY of KEEPING Shining Armor. But, even if I got another 3k, I might wanna sell Shining. It's a hard choice. I could do alot with that money, not just buy fursuits. All my fursuit plans are kinda waiting on the next month. The vote for the contract ends on June 27th, and the sale of Shining Armor is due the first week of July. So July is when things start happening.

Cons: I'm currently in what I call "the furry con off-season". I have NO conventions till Rainfurrest in late Sept. The last furry con was VancouFUR in March. While SakuraCon and Everfree in July will/have kept me going till then, but it's not the same as a furry con. Everfree is my new convention and it's a little over a month away. It will be the last event I will have Shining Armor for. I plan to sell him immediately after the con. Plan to. We'll see how this contract goes. The big con for 2014 isn't just FC, but it is turning out to be MFF in December. I have decided to make MFF a regular con for me and I plan to attend every year.

So, my life right now is saving, waiting, and hoping. Alot up in the air and far away. But my plan is solid, and if all pans out, I am looking for a very exciting end to 2014, and a every exciting START to 2015. ;)

So, pretty much just eat, work, shit, sleep till September. XD See you all at RF! (and I'll see you bronies at EFNW. ;) )

Hey guys!

So, I thought about it and I realized that this fursuit I am getting would be rather pointless to debut as a secret. Why?

Well, I will tell you now that this fursuit is a TOTALLY NEW character. Original character of mine, but still new. I am currently working out the long process of getting the reference made. It's tough because it's alot of back and forth to get the character perfect. However, when I get that finished, I will be posting the art and announcing the fursuit.

Since it's a new character, that means if I debut this suit as a secret, NO ONE would know who it was. PERHAPS if I debut this fursuit at a bowling meet where EVERYONE knows EVERYONE else in terms of fursuits, then yes. But I am debuting this at MFF, one of the largest furry conventions on the planet. There will be HUNDREDS of fursuits, most of which are new to many. No one is gonna tell which "new and unseen" fursuit is me. So, there really is no point on debuting a fursuit if no one knows who the fuck ya are.

So, with that all said, this fursuit and character will not be announced for another month since that' s currently the deadline for many aspects of this fursuit commission. I will most likely announce my new fursuit the weekend of the first week of June.

So Sakura Con was fun! Very casual and confusing. Tried to plan for it, but I failed pretty bad. XD HOWEVER, I was able to have alot of fun with friends including some fursuiting fun! Not me, but it was fun to be spotter. :3 I DID wear Shining Armor cosplay for TWO days instead of one. Friday evening and most of Saturday. Thanks for the fun times yall! I had a great reaction to Shining Armor. I will miss him. :(

Anyway, to business. NEW FURSUIT: After TWO MONTHS of maybe's and no's, I have FINALLY put a down payment on a fursuit! :D It was someone that I kinda just assumed that they were not available. But after a long talk, we worked out an agreement. I am very excited about the idea and the maker. It will be a suit many will talk about. HAHA, it's a secret though, so I will stop talking about it so it doesn't torture you so much. XD Secret fursuits are fun. I remember when others did it. It was always fun to be like HUH WHA??!?!!

So yeah, I was getting really discouraged about the hunt for a fursuit commission. I never realized how lucky I was when I got MaxCoyote. Fursuits are in serious demand right now. Waiting lists as long as the eye can see. Every time I found a maker I thought would work, they either JUST closed or had no intentions in opening. It was very frustrating to pumped up and then deflated again and again. I don't envy anyone who has a fursuit shopping to do ahead of them. It's a surprising amount of work. Despite getting a down payment sent, I still have quite a while to wait.

My new fursuit will be debuted at MidWest FurFest! Keep an eye out! :D Till then, it's the waiting game. Oh, and the Fuck-I-Have-To-Make-Another-Damn-DTD-Game. X.x I hate making those.

In other news, the tattoo idea isn't panning out. I can't find an artist I trust to get it done. Well, I DID find one, but she ended up being on a sabbatical. Just my luck. So, considering my tattoo money was just spend for a fursuit down payment, I was not that upset about having to cancel the project. To make up for not getting it inked, I do plan to put ressy's work on some upcoming MaxCoyote products like bag tags, stickers and my "I hugged MaxCoyote" tshirt I've been wanting to get made for AGES.

But yeah, TL;DR: Fursuit down payment made, fuzzy costume is set in stone! Tattoo nixed. Life goes on. :)

So, I did NOT get the April slot of the maker I wanted. :( There is a slight possibility I will put on a waiting list, but still will not be done this year. :( SO, I do have a back up plan. I will have AT LEAST (wink wink) one new fursuit by the end of this year. Just not sure how or who.

Shining Armor update. SA is NO LONGER up for sale. No, I am not keeping him. I have had an anonymous buyer offer me a ridiculous amount of money to have me take SA off the market and sell it to him. SO, because of this, I am no longer gonna put SA up for bid. Sorry guys, but this is like... A LOT of money. XD Please don't ask me who, either. The buyer EXPRESSLY asked to not be named. EVER. But don't worry, this guy is a brony and a suiter, so I'm VERY confident you'll see SA around! Also, I WILL HAVE Shining Armor weekend after next at SakuraCon as well as Everfree Northwest! So look for him there. :)

Despite my fursuit plans being delayed, I have one exciting furry fandom purchase coming up! For years I have wanted to get a tattoo of MaxCoyote on me to celebrate the furry fandom being a part of my life. I have been waiting on two things. Money (which I have ATM), and an image. A PERFECT image. Well, it turns out I finally got that image. My most recent commission by Ressy ended up being just what I have been waiting for for years! Amazing style, smooth, slick sharp and stylized. Also works really well as a "floating" image. I don't have to cut off any legs or arms. It's just the right size for a calf piece!

So, I am doing some shopping for needles and I think I found just the artists. This weekend I will be visiting their studio and talking with the artist and see what can be done. With a top quality portfolio like hers, I might have to wait a few months for an appointment. Either way I'll make it happen. VERY excited to get ink again! It's been too long!
