As of last week, my bout in the 2013 FFFFTourney is over. However, I'm not sad or upset. I'm actually quite happy cause I got very far this year!

Not only did I do well in the Non-elimination rounds, I got pretty far in the main competition too! :D I ended up being Lazuli Champion! A shared title, but earned non-the-less! :D I wouldn't of been able to get that far without some awesome support for you guys, so thank you SO much for all the votes! You guys really helped out alot and don't think this yote doesn't appreciate everyone helping #yotethevote! :D

This years FFFF2013 really helped me feel better about my fursuit and made me eager to perform again. I know alot of people find the F4 to be a popufur contest, or just something silly. But I don't see it that way. Win or lose, the F4 is about supporting the fursuiters you like and enjoy and having some fun. To see people simply vote for me and think my fursuit was THAT good to win the rounds it did was all I needed.

Thank you again you guys, and we'll try again next year! I can't wait to see what happends then. :)

Still haven't done my post-Everfree journal. But how is me delaying a post-con journal new? XD I'll get to it at some point.

I dunno... right now I'm doubting the whole furry thing. I mean, I don't mean that too seriously. I have too much damn fun fursuiting to stop. But... I dunno... I'm in one of those positions where there has been SO FUCKING MUCH DRAMA within a recently year span, that I kinda just wanna take a vacation from all this.

I dunno, I have alot to think about. Might just kinda take a break and attend more brony meets and conventions. We'll see. I have alot to think about. Any positive stories about the fandom might help.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.

Just a little note to let ya all know i"m not dead. This week has been quite a nightmare with work and this weekend won't let up with a long trip to a wedding in Oregon.

All this means is I'm a little behind on my post-con journals and report on Shining Armor which will be extensive. Believe it or not, but my FA is like low life priority. XD Which sucks, but I at least wanna let ya all know there's fun Shining Armor and Everfree stuff on the way, INCLUDING alot of new MaxCoyote artwork on the way. Including my first ever comic commission which will be a long details Max to Beast Max sequence. I'm sure we're all looking forward to that one. ;)

Well, the weekend is over and EFNW is done. :(

BUT, I had a wonderful time and made some new friends while enjoying myself with old friends as well.

Not only that but my costume was a hit! Despite not winning the costume contest. Next year I'll have to bring a corn dog. Oh well! :)

The weekend was about 80% cosplaying at Shining Armor. While it was EXHAUSTING and left me at the end of the day smelling like a hobo, It was TOTALLY WORTH IT. I can't describe do you how wonderful it felt to get such a positive happy supportive reaction from absolutely EVERYONE at the con. It warmed my heart and pushed me forward. Gave me the strength to lift that Cadence prop another 100 times for photos!!

While I have many other things to report, this journal is just a quick thank you and well done to all my friends and Everfree staff for a wonderful weekend! Keep track of my journals here for a full report next weekend, as well as my Tumber (maxyote.tumblr.com) for the pictures of me from the con as Shining Armor once I collect all I can find. :)

Spending quality time with friends and fellow bronies. I love just being at cons. Really hope for an awesome reaction to my Shining Armor costume setup. :)

I'll be in costume as Shining Armor for as long as possible.

Costuming! I plan to debut my costume set up at opening cerimonies. Then I immediately have my panel to host. After that I'll break and stock up on Enterplay cards and Derpy buttons. The rest of the con is in the air and will most likely be running around at Shining Armor. :3

11. Any panels you want to attend?
Probably not too many. I've never been much for attending panels, even at furry cons. But I will look them over and see if one interests me. I am hosting a commissions panel friday at 12:30pm in Crystal A.

Just had to share this with everyone. Last Saturday we had a lil casual meetup at Seattle NorthWest Folklife Festival! Thank you SO MUCH to  kijani_lion and  chaosreign for doing a great job with the video! :)

As a few of you might now, I have a "website" www.maxcoyote.com. Well, I have a doman name. I gave up on Wordpress and just linked i to my Tumblr. XD lul. Anyway, it actually works really well for what I'd want to do. Tumblr would of been what my website WOULD of been PLUS I get all that social networking jazz.

Life Update:

Doing something I dont' do much on FA. Just make a journal about what's going on right now. Mostly cause I don't think ppl really read or care, but hell, wtvr. Even if no one reads it, It's theraputic.

Anyway, this month has been hard. Mostly due to one thing. Fucking money. I've had a few unexpected expenses recently which has pretty much canceled all my commissions and Amazon orders but a couple. The most recent was a fucking $80 iPhone charger some fucking ramper STOLE out of my work truck. WOW. Just bought that too. Anyway, all of this kinda put a slow down on all my spending plans.

The only thing I plan to spend on myself in the next two months is The Last of Us, and alterations to my Shining Armor suit as well as his prop for Everfree NW. BUT, I'm honestly hoping by then my money issues are over.

Because of this, I have to bull through and accept the fact I'll be working overtime on my weekends. If that work is even available. Right now it's not, and the only OT I have lined up is in two weeks for just ONE fucking day.

Everfree:

Despite my money issues, Everfree is still on track. Mostly because reg is already paid for and I don't have any real expenses but parking fees. BUT, because of this my spending at EFNW will be ALOT less then last year. Last year I blew like $300 on Enterplay cards and the like. I still have yet to buy some Series 2 Enterplay boxes, but that got put on hold due to money issues. I would REALLY love to have a binder full of series 2 cards to trade at EFNW, but that all depends on money right now.

Currently, EFNW will be about SHINING ARMOR! My new fursuit! :D I will hopefully be able to squeeze JUST enough money through before the con to get SA altered and to pay for my Candice prop. That costume will pretty much be the convention for me. Not worried about autographs since there isn't many GOH this year. Kinda disapointing, but wtvr.

So, TLDR on EFNW: Mostly costuming, 0 spending.

Now that you're done reading that, I have YET ANOTHER reason to not attend Furlandia. As a proud and supportive union man, I will be boycotting this hotel.

I support and encourage any others who feel this treatment of staff and the way this hotel is being run to be wrong support my cause in this boycott. And not just for Furlandia. Even if it's just a weekend in Portland, don't stay there! If you live in Portland or goto the school, let friends know!

Thanks guys. I'm really big on union labor and supporting hard working Americans, so this means alot. Also ironically another reason Furlandia is not for me. Why? Cause creditable sources told me that Furlandia signed a 3 year deal with this hotel (which might not be true now X.x), and will be returning next year (if at all).

Ok, so, post haste post con report for Furlandia 2013. I'm gonna devide this into three sections. Bad News, Good News, and Summary.

Bad News:

After the fursuit parade, EVERYONE desuited. I did, but no one else kept it on either. No idea why everyone bailed on the fursuits. After that, we were IMMEDIATELY bored as shit. After 3.5 hours of CAH, we went back to being bored. Got some snacks and then stood around the hallways for 2 hours or so. NOTHING to do. Bored as bored can be. Had Frost, Hornet and Shimmi with me for most of that.

Everything fell apart when we found out that MTV was ACTUALLY THERE. There was a rumor going around for weeks about it, but I thought it was BS. Why would furries sell out their own? Well, Furlandia sure did. They sold us out, our PRIVACY out for CASH. That was pretty much my last straw, as if being bored stiff wasn't enough. We decided to leave. We headed back at about 6pm. Good anyway, cause we were pretty fucking tired when we got back.

There was one other big issue with the con which amazed me, and gave me absolutely NO faith in the people who run Furlandia at all. This, you know about, i'm sure if you attended. I'm not gonna say anything more about that matter. I don't think I need to. Many others left the con because of... that person.

Good News:

I had a great time getting to know FrostbiteFox. We road down together and spend most of the day together as well. He gave me alot of good advice and it was great to get to know him. I hope to spend more time with him in the future.

Walking about downtown Portland for the Doggie Dash was ALOT of fun! We did that before the con started. I enjoyed it alot. Also, the fursuit parade was alot of fun. I got a couple really nice photos, and saw some really great fursuits. Many missed furs got many missed fluffy hugs. :3 Always the best part of any con! :)

Also, I had a great time playing Cards Against Humanity with kirinafa, BenBen, Hornet, Shimi and drayk. I finally got to meet Drayk and spend some good time with him playing cards. That made me very happy. I hope to see him again soon, perhaps at a bowling meet? Yes yes? XD

Also, I got my official invite to Kirin and BenBen's wedding. While I knew I was invited, it warmed my heart to actually get the invite. Thank you so much both of you guys, and I am going to do my best to find a way to attend! :)

Summary:

While there was a few happy moments with friends, it wasn't something I couldn't of just done by driving down to PDX and hanging out with them on my time off. I didn't need a very poorly organized and disappointing con to do it. I don't trust anyone who runs this con because of the betraying and disturbing choices they have made. Despite the fact the con itself was downright boring. I mean, I had friends that spent the rest of the day watching Cartoon Network in their hotel room for Pete's sake!!! ALL DAY! And it wasn't just them. Many did.

So yeah, I don't think I'll ever be attending Furlandia again. There are alot more better cons to spend my time and money on. I'm just glad I did only a one day'er for this one. All you guys who stayed in Seattle and doubted the con, you were right. So so right. I should of listened to you.


EDIT: Some new "facts" have been sent to me about what happend.

MTV - Turns out MTV was there for ONE person. Saphy. Saphy is the leader of the PDXFurs group who staffed Furlandia, and is known for having a buddy buddy relationshop with the said unwelcome individual. Saphy accepted to be interviewed for True Life, something EVERY OTHER FUR was smart enough to decline. The real issue was that Saphy brought the crew WITH him. Viacom also decided to give the hotel AND Furlandia quite a large donation, keeping them from following their own regulation about no media. This allowed Viacom to stay in the hotel for the whole con, despite our wishes for privacy.

You-Know-Who: Turns out he was never really invited, but he invited himself and signed up for a panel. Furlandia never had the guts to shoo him away, plus the fact I feel he had alot of friends in the PDXFurs group himself. In fact, I know he does.

I think the MTV info sounds more plausible then You-Know-Who. I honestly think they invited him from the beginning. Either way, shitty con.

Furlandia:

Today is opening day for Furlandia down in Portland. I will not be there. As I have mentioned before, Furlandia will be a one day con for me. Not really willing to commit the time and money for this one as a full con. Me and  carson10us will be both carpooling down early tomorrow and leaving late. All day marathon! We'll be showing up just in time for early Saturday reg and breakfast cartoons. We'll probably leave between 10pm-12am after dancing for a while. Depends how we feel.

I will have Shining Armor WITH me, but will not use him unless someone volunteers to wear him for the parade. Still looking for someone to step up for that. I'd need someone bigger then me as well. I'll be wearing MaxCoyote for pretty much all of tomorrow.

So, I'm not gonna express my opinion on this, but I very much want to hear yours.

This was based on a discussion I had with a friend on Skype last week and I've been thinking about it alot since then.

When does furry drawings/porn turn into downright bestiality/zoophillia? Is any feral porn honestly just bestiality/zoophillia, or does making it drawn make it ok?

I'm not really sure. I guess some people don't see issues with it, while others kinda cringe at it. What about you? If you saw something on FA like a feral horse character effing an anthropomorphized horse character, would that be furry or just bestiality? Does both characters drawn have to be anthro to not be bestiality?

I know it's a hard core debate, but I don't think I've seen enough people express their opinions on it. Porn isn't for me, but I'm still curious to everyone's opinions on the matter.

FINALLY! Took me long enough. Sorry I am forever taking. I always slack on post con reports. Not sure why. I'm just gonna kinda blurt all of it out and hope it works out ok. XD I might forget some things, so don't get mad. XD

Thursday:
It started Thursday morning. I had all my stuff packed the night before. I got up early around 8am and started to pack my car. I planned to meet up with Razzy at the ferry terminal at 10am. Our plan was to be there in time for a big dinner we had planned at 6pm. I was afraid not everything would fit in my new but small car. Picked up Razzy then headed over to Skyan's place. Everything fit! I was so happy. Just barely though. At least I know my limit for convention rideshare is 3. XD

As soon as we started heading north, it started to rain. No open top for this trip. D: Dispite that, it was a fun fun ride up. Stopped out side Belingham for a very windy and cold lunch at Sonics. Traffic was almost nothing. We made record time to the border. Even the border was just NO ONE. At that point I said goodbye to my 4G and shut down our phones. Discovered a bad ass EDM station on XM radio called "BPM". Channel 51, check it out! XD The ride there was quick and we didn't get lost. Very happy with my GPS not effing me over. We pulled up to the hotel nice and early. We had time to unpack, rest, AND get in a shopping trip for food at the super market next door before dinner.

Dinner was alot of fun! :D :D Not many showed up, but a few old friends were there! It was, unfortunately, the only good time I got to talk with davecko since (like most cons), he's banished to the dealers den for most of it. And me being a fursuiter means we don't see much of each other. Great to see him again, and meet his new boyfriend Bundt. :) Also got to finally meet the super nice and awesome sampsonwoof! A fellow NW furry I have talk with alot on Twitter. Great to finally meet him. :) kirinafa also showed up last minute after being on a two day trip north. :D

After that, we kinda just decided to take it easy and chill in our room the rest of the night, joined by Kirin. Reo also showed up about that time. After being discouraged by horridly insulting beer prices, we decided to not really do a room party. Next year i'm bringing up some beer. Fucking Canada, man.

Friday:
Friday was day 1! YEY! I had to plan a little bit since I had a panel RIGHT after reg opened. So, I decided to join my official VF2013 fursuting buddy, Kirinafa and be one of the first suiters in the lobby to welcome people! :D It wouldn't be long since I had registration then panel, so we had to hurry. The lobby ended up being rather quiet for fursuiting, but I was able to play around a little bit with a few other suiters who happend to be down there. We were included in univadedfox's video for VF as well! Me and Kirin did something with a ball as directed. I'm looking forward to the video. Sounds cute. :3

After suiting in the lobby for about 2 hours that morning, me and Kirin called it quits till later that day. After I desuited, I realized I didn't eat anything. LUL! Typical me. XD I ran into Kirin on the way to Tim Hortons and she agreed to save me a spot in reg if I got her some OJ. I have good memories or waiting in line with my Creeper hoodie zipped up sipping on a cup of java. XD After I got registered I set up for my panel. I had just enough time to head on up to prep for my panel.

Commissions 101: For the Buyer went.. ok. I did the panel like I did at RF. I even had leftover handouts from RF to use. More then I expected showed up. That was nice. I did it a lil too fast compared to last time. Had a few questions, and I had to be rather long winded to fill time up due to lack of questions. At the end of the panel, no one applauded like at RF and I got no one thanking me either. I guess I shouldn't expect that at each panel, but it got me worried that I fucked up the panel. Eh... I guess we'll see at Everfree. I plan to do the panel there too.

After the panel, I pretty much spent the rest of the day in Fursuit. I didn't even take it off to attend sixel's Comm 102 panel. XD I did so many things in suit, it was a blast! Everyone suited up by then and the halls and lobby were full of furries! I didn't take my suit off till later that night after welcoming cerimonies! After that, I decided I needed food. XD We all decided to head on over to Boston Pizza. It was just gonna be me and Kirin and her roommate, but it compiled into a massive group of furries almost 12 people! XD Even more then the dinner Thursday night! HAHA! That was alot of fun. Dracona made me an AMAZING papercraft of my Minecraft skin! I loved it! :D Also, please note my limit is ONE Twisted Rocket. XD

Saturday:
Saturday started off with a nice coffee and danish with my fursuiting buddy Kirin. :3 After that we headed back and watched Razzy's panel on Fursuit Making for Beginners. It was alot of fun. :3 After that me and Lil' Sis' suited up for the big 3 events of the day: Parade, Dance Comp and the Harlem Shuffle! All were super amazing! Very happy and proud of Razzy for winning first place in the Dance Comp! :D :D Congrats Razzy! After that we hung around a big then desuited for the GOH dinner. The dinner was pretty nice. It was buffett style. Akonite had these special cakes made for the GOH's! They were super cool.

Afterwards we took the opportunity to spend time at the pool since it was a really sunny day. We ended up getting the last hour of daylight, but it was ALOT of fun. There was big pool toy dragons everyone was playing with. Not sure what happend after that. I think we eventually suited up and headed out to the dance and just goofed around in the lobby. Had a few awesome photo ops with Akonite and at the photo booth with my pickax. :3

Sunday:
Sunday was fun! Just as fun as any other day of the con. :3 First thing was the MLP panel at 10am. Kinda sucked honestly. Every furry con has had lame MLP panels. The only one I liked was the MLP panel at RF2011. That one was AMAZING. THis was was kinda lame. All they talked about was the drama at Unicon. So that was a waste of an hour.

Kept my suit off for the Ice Cream Social. That was great! I went with, who else but my con buddy Kirin. :3 Ice Cream was super yummy and we had some nice conversations with a few furries including Akonite. :3 CHOCOLATE RAIN. ... anyway. XD

After that was the event I look forward to the most at every furry con. The FURSUIT GAMES! I love fursuit games. They are a blast! I was kinda depressed I threw out my ankle at the RF12 games. :( So I was happy to be back in the game again. Hockey was fun! I got to be goalie again! I don't know how I always end up being the goalie, but that's ok! It was fun! Even thought I lost! XD There's a photo out there of me hanging my head in shame cause I blew a save. hehe The only hitch from the games was that I almost got crushed. I finally was on the WRONG side a furpile. First time that happend, and it was NOT fun. I couldn't breathe and it almost crushed the paper in my fursuit head eyes. I started to yell for people to get off of me. Yeah... that sucked. X.x But that aside, the fursuit games was ALOT OF FUN! If anyone has a video of the games, PLEASE SEND IT TO ME! I REALLY wanna watch it!!

Closing ceremonies I was still in suit, but Kirin called it quites. I just couldn't stop suiting. I didn't want the con to end. :( I sat next to Kirin and watched them auction off a bunch of stuff including Kirin's papercraft which was super popular. :D Everyone loved it! Also, I asked Akonite to give a shout out to WFS12! I hope we get the record broken this time! :) After that, I kinda decided to give up. It's late, I'd been suiting ALL damn day. Time to accept the fact the con is ending and desuit. :(

After that we went to dinner at BP together. Quite a big group again. Almost 12 people! I was rather mad because it took BP TWO FUCKING HOURS to get us in and out. We almost missed Shimi's Dead Dog Dance set. Dinner was fun but depressing at the same time. I loved it like all the other dinners, but I knew it was the last. Sunday is always full of a lil depression since that looming fact it's almost over. After dinner, we rushed back to the hotel and suited up the Dead Dog Dance. Reo had already been there dancing. After I got down there, my body told me I was done. I had suited up so much, my body was pretty much exhausted. I could barely stand. I wiggled around a little bit at the dance, but I was done. After about and hour, I went back up to the room, and put MaxCoyote away for good. :( The rest of the night was us spending time together in the room, talking and the like. Kirin decided to stay with us in our room that night due to some roommate issues.

Monday & Bodysuit:
Monday was happy, but bittersweet. We packed up, said goodbye to whoever was left and got food. It was wonderful time and I was so happy I went. The drive back was sunny! We actually got to drive back with the top open. :3 The border was easy. No issues. Despite the horror stories of others. When we got back to Razzy's place, she was super awesome. She fixed me and Skyan some awesome sammiches and we sat around and talked a while. Kinda reflected on the weekend and got all blah cause it was over. But happy. :)

VF was the first event with my new bodysuit made by Razzy. Normally the delivery was a month past VF, but Razzy was super awesome to get it done just in time! Having a fullsuit for VF made the con amazing for me. Probably made more difference then anything else when it come to fursuiting for the event. It's really hard to explain how I felt in fullsuit. It made my happy and giddy, while almost making me wanna cry from happiness. :) Being able to be in character, get hugs, and be around others who were so happy to see me and hug me made it so incredible. Everyone was so supportive of my fursuit and my character. I love interacting with everyone who decided to interact with my fursuit. Thank you so much everyone!

The suit itself worked out great! I love the digit legs. They feel big, poofy, soft and fun to walk with. I constantly would stop by those big mirrors in the hallway and look at myself like some diva! XD I couldn't help myself! I looked so awesome in the suit. It worked so great! A few lil minor things needed some fixing, but they were normal bugs for a brand new suit. Razzy did a great job with the suit. It looks and feels amazing to wear! I could not of hired a better person or friend to make it. Thank you so much! :)

Staff & Thank You:
A big thank you to convention staff for doing a great job with the con! They are one of the few young constaff in the world who's put so much effort into their job and done so well. I can't say enough about them, so I'll leave it as a great big THANK YOU and JOB WELL DONE! Also thank you to akonite for being an awesome conchair and person. He's alot of fun to be around, and it makes me kinda sad I don't live in BC. I would love to spend more time with him as a friend. I understand why so many people gravitate to him. You can tell how great a person he is by just being around him. Thank you, Akonite. :)

Thank You to ALL my friends and roomies for being such amazing people and company!

Thank you to my roomies  razzylee,  skyan, and  reograyfox! You guys were super awesome and respectful! I'm deffinatly wanna room with you all again, for VF or sooner! :) You guys are truely what made this weekend amazing in so many ways. Good friends make everything fun. :3

Thank you to my special convention buddy,  kirinafa. You made VF very fun for me by spending most of your time with me and always being a fursuit buddy ready to go. I always believed in a "fursuit buddy" for conventions. It makes it fun to have someone with you when goofing around and performing in suit. It was great to spend so much time with you again after not seeing you since Everfree last year. You're like a lil sister to me, and I look forward to seeing you again. Thanks for being such a good friend. :)

Thank you to  sixel for helping me with the Commission 102! You did a great job. :)

Also, thanks to all my other friends and palls from around the northwest who I saw again at the con. I wish I could mention everyone one by one, but my brain is starting to fail. XD It was great to see you all this last weekend! I hope to see you all again!
