I've seen a lot of save the tigers ads all around lately, one of them on this site and each time I wonder, why always the tigers?

Sure there are few tigers left and preserving them is important. But I wonder how many people know that the cat closest to extinction today, the one they think will be the first cat to be extinct since the saber-tooths, is the Iberian Lynx.

There's somewhere between 2000 and 4000 tigers left (can't remember the number right now), which isn't a lot, but at this date there's only about 100 left of the Iberians. Yet I never see them mentioned in the ads from places like WWF and such. This always annoy me as I love Iberian lynxes, they're easily one of the most beautiful cats there is. And so we (or at least I) have entered 2011.

Looking back on 2010 I can honestly say it was a very shitty year. Signs pointed to it becoming so when I got my heart broken on January 1st... and well while nothing as depressing as that first day happened for the rest of the year it still wasn't a good one. I got nowhere in my life, I'm at exactly the same point now as I was 1 year ago. Or no, that was a lie. One thing has changed, I live in my own apartment now. And that's nice, probably the only nice thing that happened last year. I hope I've come further this time next year.

Anyways, I'm now gonna put 2010 behind me and forget it completely, which shouldn't be hard considering I have the memory or a demented goldfish.

Looking ahead on 2011 doesn't make me very hopeful though... it's not hard being pessimistic having been me for a few years. But who knows, maybe it will surprise me. Still doubt it though.

Anyways, Happy New Year to you all, or as we say here in Sweden, Gott Nytt År!

Ok so you got another journal from me before New Years =P

Trying to get away from the Christmas stuff for a while today I decided to listen to some stuff on Spotify and came across this thing that I had missed completely, The Tron Legacy Soundtrack.

Holy shit! The whole thing is composed by Daft Punk! I love those guys =D
I've been listening through it for a while now and DAMN is it awesome! I'm getting goosebumps constantly through almost every track. The only sad thing is that they're so short =P

If you are even slightly interested in the electronica genre of music you must check this out! The atmosphere it's creating is beyond good in my opinion.

So now, by my timezone, it's Christmas Eve. And since I'm living in the cool country of Sweden it's the important day of the Christmas holiday (screw Christmas day =P). Thusly I'd like to wish you all a happy holiday, no matter the shape or form this take in your religion/culture/whatever =)

Tomorrow (today, but I haven't gone to bed yet so it's still tomorrow, so there!) will be a bit busy with my dad, and possibly my mom, will come by for a Christmas-y breakfast. Then I will go to my grandmother's place for the traditional Christmas dinner. There might be some gifts exchanged, though we said we'd skip those this year, I've bought some uhh... scratchies or what ever those are called in English, scratchable lottery tickets anyways, for my mom and my dad. Hopefully they'll win something though that's not really prone to happen when it comes to my family, we're not known for our luck xD

I hope you others have some sort of plans for the days to come =)

As you might have heard, I'm sure it's been mentioned all over, there was the first ever suicide bombing in Sweden last Saturday.
A man blew up a car injuring two people then fortunately miss triggered the pipe bombs he had on him ending up only killing himself.

I wish I knew what the man was trying to tell us... what could he possibly hope to change here? I can only conclude that he was mentally ill and thought he did something that would benefit someone.

Why can't people just get along...

As you might have noticed I never posted a day 10 journal for the 10 day meme, but I really don't have anything to confess. But as I don't just want to leave it like that I'll confess that... hmm... FA turns me gayer every year xD When I first found this place the vast amount of gay "yiff" bothered me. Today I enjoy it and it has made me realize things I was yet aware of when I first arrived here =P

How's that for a confession? Good enough? I sure hope so =P

I hate this season... it's too cold, too much snow, too dark (well not really, it's great, if I could only be awake as I want to). I'm tired all the time since my body and brain want me to sleep during the day and be awake at night, which doesn't work well with my "job". Today I've been up since half past eleven last night until now, half past six in the afternoon (gonna sleep in a couple of hours tops). Which is close to how my brain would like it but not quite, it would prefer me to be up from like 8-9 in the night to around 10-11 in the morning and sleep in between those =P

Hmm... do I have anything else to add to this... I don't think so.

1) My only really big regret is that I applied to and finished my studies in airplane mechanics. It was an education that I've gained nothing from. Now I always have to bring it up when I talk to job coaches and every time I have to add that I don't want to be within a hundred feet of an airplane unless it's to travel ever again. And they always wanna know why I chose that kind of education, a question I really can't answer.

2) I regret that I chose the pacifistic road when dealing with my bullies back in school. I know it probably would have had repercussions for myself if I had punched my bullies in the face but perhaps that would have stopped it sooner and perhaps then I wouldn't be the anti-social misfit I am today, after all, punching people in the face is how you become popular isn't it...=/ Perhaps this is just wishful thinking...

1) Games, this is what mostly dominates my mind. It takes up about 80% of my time awake.

To win my heart is actually quite simple but here's a list =)

1) Don't be a douche. This might seem pretty standard, I mean, who likes a douche. But I still feel it should be mentioned =)

2) Be willing to get to know me. Ask about me and show an interest. I've not had much of this in my life. So far only one or two people could really claim to truly know me.

3) Be caring. If you care for me I will care for you.

4) Be open minded. This is important actually, I myself am very open to others and their little quirks so it's a plus if you are as well, not just with me of course.

5) Surprise me. A random token of friendship no matter it's shape or form is likely to make me wanna hug you =)

6) Have a good sense of humor. Perhaps I should say "Have a sense of humor similar to my own" but as long as you smile a lot that goes a long way =)

1) I have close to zero short term memory. The smallest distraction can make me for get anything no matter the importance. In fact, the more important something is the more likely I am to forget it. Pointless information that has no impact on my daily life seem to have a tendency to superglue itself on my brain however.

2) When I was young (6-9 years old) I was really outgoing and could say pretty much anything to anyone but as I grew up I became more and more shy and introvert. Now-a-days I feel anxious in pretty much any social situation. Since I lost my outgoing personality in the beginning of my teen life I never really learned to socialize like others do and now I find a lot of common ways to socialize either awkward or plain pointless. For example I don't understand why other guys feel that they must confirm their masculinity by announcing that "that girl we just passed was hot". While I might agree it's not something I feel the need to tell others. I also hate when people ask for my opinion on the looks of girls as it's not something I like discussing and, truth be told, I very rarely even look at other people when outside, they are usually just a blur to me. (I would suck as an eye-witness as I wouldn't be able to describe shit) So if they ask about a person we've passed I often can't answer as I simply don't know. [/ranty info]

3) I don't drink any strong alcohol, the strongest I drink is 2.25vol% cider and that's only for the taste. I've never been drunk nor do I ever want to be. In fact being around others that drink either makes me sick or makes me wanna punch them in the face even if they don't bother me directly.

4) I have an easier time dealing with people I've had contact with for prolonged times but even then I get anxious to make first contact. So this go out to all my IM contacts: Don't think I don't want to chat with you even if I rarely send you the first message. I enjoy every message I get from you and hope you understand my position. If I don't reply when you've sent me a message it's either because I'm playing a full screen game or that I'm not at the computer (no matter what my status claims) and I always regret that I've missed you when I find the messages later.

5) I'm a very quick learner but I can never get past becoming average at anything. I have no patience for people that are not fast learners or that can't quickly grasp what I consider basic knowledge. So asking me to teach you something might not be the best idea. =P

6) I'm very stubborn and if I've set my mind on something it's very, very hard to make me change my mind. This is more often than not a bad thing.

7) I'm an agnostic. I'm fully prepared to believe in any god/goddess/deity as long as their existence is proved without doubt.

8) I'm a nailbiter, though not as bad as some. My nail biting has never caused any damage or the like. Though I also have a tendency to bite my skin, which sometimes cause small wounds. This latter bad habit has formed from my hatred of my skin not being smooth. Any and all irregularities has to be removed, sadly often creating worse irregularities.

9) I've begun preparing myself mentally for the fact that I'm most likely gonna be single/alone for the rest of my life. I'm doing this as I've always been a believer in "better expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised". As my mind works now the chances of me ever finding someone to share my life with are slim at best and I know my mind isn't gonna change no matter what people keep telling me..

Just wanted to get that meme off the front page =P

Ok so my troubles from the last journal are now fixed.

I got my money on the due date for the rent and my dad lend me the money to fix my computer =)
So I'm a bit happier now! Just hoping the new parts like their new home and don't cause any fuss =P

I got myself Windows 7 (64 bit) as well now and I must say it's really nice so far! It was about time I moved on from XP.

Further good news would be that I got myself to draw! Sightly not as good news (depending on who you ask) is that it's porn xD
I'm now debating on whether to upload it now letting it claim my 100th submission spot or if I should wait and hopefully complete the intended pic for that slot. Meh... we'll see.

Need to install the drivers for my scanner along with Photoshop and stuff before I can do either of those anyways.

As for me, I know I've been a bit dead here lately... there are several reasons for that, the most recent being that my PC is broken. I'm not sure what it is but I think it's either the motherboard or the processor that isn't working correctly. Basically what happens is that whenever I try to run some programs I get a Blue screen of Death... I also get like two or three of those while windows is loading, before I get to the desktop. So I've decided it's time to upgrade this junk (hopefully fixing the problem in the process or I'll cry.) by buying a new MB, Processor and Ram. With my luck I'm sure it turns out to be a video card related problem though =/

I'm also having some money trouble right now... due to my own stupidity my money will be coming in late this month... or probably early next month so at the moment I have about 4 bucks worth of money and my rent is due tomorrow... this is keeping me a bit down, hopefully things will turn out ok though...
