8pm - 12am EST
Sunday, July 16th
3pm - 9pm EST (we ended early for dinner :3)
I may stream outside these hours but the above hours I will for sure be online and accepting orders.
No minimum - NSFW accepted.
Typically $20 = 1hr of work time. I'll do as much as I can within the allotted time.
Sketches will be cleaned up/refined at minimum. Flat color will be done as well if there is time to accommodate (over 1hr of paid work time)

Gauging interest: pay what you want emergency stream

I'm gauging interest on a few Pay What You Want (PWYW) commissions. I would be streaming this Saturday and Sunday as long as I can but may finish any remaining orders offline.
I am still missing over 50% of my short term disability (had back/spine surgery!!!) and having extra funds would really help bridge the gap this month!
I was thinking sketches (not too messy, relatively clean) with quick flats. Would you prefer something bigger for a PWYW or does that feel pretty acceptable?
I'm also considering a $10 USD minimum but how do y'all feel about that? NSFW will be accepted but may have a minimum price even if SFW does not.
Would it be a deal breaker if you didn't see yours done on stream?

The prices would be the following:
Sketches - $3(head), 4(torso), 5(full) + 5 for each extra character
Lineart & simple 1Colour shading - $8, 10, 16
Flat color - $10, 16, 27
I'll do Icons for $5 flat price (comes with colour and shading if you want)
If you have other ideas then yhea lets do it

General | Posted 10 years agoIt's going to be on everyone's journals for a bit now so sorry to add another drop to the ocean. I'm prepared to give my two cents and reasoning.
What I think:
I think, in a way, IMVU's purchase of FA might be for the better. I want to reference how Gamestop purchased a popular Flash game website. From what I can tell from my use of the site pre and post- purchase is that the site is well maintained and sleek. It overall has progressed with the times and the fact that there is still a functioning and mildly popular flash game site out there in a world dominated by consoles, handhelds, and phone games is pretty impressive to me. Additionally, the whole ownership by Gamestop is pretty low key. There is a logo here or there but in general the site still stands on their own which is certainly something they could have messed up on.
Obviously this is a totally different company and they can operate really differently but I have a feeling that they won't want to push a whole LARGE crowd away when the whole purchase was based on bringing one crowd to another. True, it isn't a partnership but they certainly could pick to treat it that way. Obviously IMVU isn't blind to the amount of furries that populate it's community.
I think we won't be seeing many changes actually. IMVU could sort of nudge the operators to do certain things and true they could strong arm people as it would be their right to do so. But at the same time, the FA crew now has a large corp hovering above them and pushing them to make progress. Progress that we were promised long ago and have yet to see any of it.
Right now, people are scared of change. They're scared of what could happen and want to preserve this site. But I'd like to remind everyone who shat on FA is. How not really that great of a design/website it really is. The only reason it is semi-tolerated is because of how large it's user base is. Several furry and non furry art sites are out there and yet people have no moved. Weasyl, the best alt I can think of, is pretty damn good when compared to FA and yet a LOT of people won't move over it to for one reason or another.
So instead of taking the stance of being fearful, I'm gonna sit back on this one. FA can't go to shit for me. There isn't a HUGE amount here. The only thing I would see dwindle would be my watchers if I decided to switch over to another site. But I've done that before and I can do it again (DA to FA anyone?).
What I'm Doing:
For now I'm going to sit and stew. I'll still be updating like normal here. Should the time come when I feel the need to move I will announce it here in a journal and with an art post.
So you know, I will be moving to Weasyl. SoFurry has really put me off as far as what I experienced in the community and I don't want to really represent myself there for my own personal reasons. So my account on SoFurry will most likely remain stagnant.
My account on all sites is the basic MayleanCall
FA is the only place I separate my SFW and NSFW. I may choose to carry this format over to Weasyl when and if I do make a move.
In the mean time. Enjoy the fact that spring is going to be here soon!
