So, someone told me my submissions take a LONG time do load on FA. I'm not sure if it was just their comp or not, so I'm going to ask you guys: Do my images take FOREVER to come up? Weird Habits & Facts!

1. Not sure how to really explain this.. But, When I sit in a chair, I curl my toes and rest the tops of my feet against the floor (So my feet, instead of laying flat, are then parallel.) I don't know why, but it is the most comfortable position for me.

2. I absolutely, completely, LOVE Tim Burton. I have since I was very young. I have every movie he's made/been a part of, and nearly every book including "The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy". I see him from an artistic standpoint. The man is my idol.

3. At one point, I nearly had over 50 animals at once. Rabbits, Mice, Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, Fish, Rats. And every single one of them was loved beyond reason. (Of course, the number jumped so high due to all my female mice becoming pregnant after buying a male mistakenly. =/ And they say RABBITS multiply fast.)

4. Most of my digital artwork is done with a laptop mouse. (the little touch-pad.) o_o I wonder why I have carpal tunnel, eh? I wish I could afford a tablet...

5. When I was born, my mother fed me Jell-O water in a bottle to "calm me down". Later on when my teeth came in, my front 4 were completely BLACK until I was in 1st grade. Thank gods baby teeth fall out.

6. I met my mate  skuger online. YEP. ONLINE RELATIONSHIP OMG!!1 We were together for nearly 4 years until he moved in with me last April. <3 But online relationships don't work AT ALL. (Note sarcasm.)

Cripes, today was just one of those days for my mate. Everything seemed to go wrong left and right for him, and then to top it all off; he turned around quickly after picking something up, and stubbed his toe on a piece of glass - or he thought he stubbed it.

Turns out, that he actually CUT THE FREAKING SKIIN ON THE END OF HIS TOE OFF. D:

I swear, I have never, ever, cried so bad in one of these types of situations. I usually keep my head together and whip out the band aids, but being the person I love the most in excrutiating pain, I just lost it. It didn't help there was a trail of blood from one end of the kitchen to the other, plus after all was said and done - he found the part of his toe on the floor. x_x I'm still queasy/upset. Thankfully, he doesn't need stitches and my Dad came home to help at just the right time.

He, like always, is laughing about it now at least. I just fear getting him aroused, and having him pass out from blood loss or something. xD;

Edit: Due to some unclarity on the subject, I have added an explanation as to why exactly I refer to myself as "Furry". The said paragraph is marked with an *.

I am a human, I know this. I'm not stupid. I can see my furless skin, hear my human tongue whisper or scream with emotion, feel and draw with my human hands, taste my humanly processed food and smell the human made perfume I wear each day. All my senses tell me I am a human. I tell myself what I am. I do not expect someone else to.

Because I say I am a furry, do not tell me that I am a freak. That I have sex with animals and fap to rape. Maybe some do, but not me. Do not tell me I have no friends, or love in my life, because the people I care about most will be there to prove you wrong. Don't tell me I whine and bitch and that I cause drama in your daily life. I rarely write anything in journals, and in any case, If you don't like what I say, stop reading them; You have a back button in your browser. Do not tell me all I care about is sex. Sure, I love yiff, and I even draw it, but 99.9% of ANY species, has the need to procreate. Some just choose to pretend like they don't, or pretend they are above their primal instincts. Not me. Do not tell me I think I am an animal and disillusion myself. As I said before - I know I'm human, but do not shun me for having an imagination, either. Do not preach to me about god. I am Wiccan. I believe in what the earth has to offer me, not some dramatic battle of good and evil, told through metaphorical information for the everyday life. (I am not insulting any religion, here, BTW. I am simply stating an opinion.)

Never accuse me of being anything other than what I am or have claimed to be. You do not know me. You do not know 99% of the furry community. You have found the 15 year-old little kids, pretending to be something they are not, and expressing thier emotions. But even in their case - they are children. They are growing, and learning. They are exploring right from wrong, and playing with imagination. Stop taking things at face value.

I interact with other humans on a daily basis, I know I am not really a wolf. But I wish I was. I wish I could escape the drama and hardships of every day life. You do the same thing, reading books, playing WOW or other RPGS, being in cliques at school, playing video games, or even watching TV. We all need an escape. Just because you do not like something someone is doing with THEIR life, do not make it hell. That is what is wrong with human society.

My fursona, a character in which I pretend to live an alternate life through, is a wolf, simply because I feel very connected to the spiritual meaning of wolf kind. (Which, by the way, is humanly interpreted.) All animals share this sense of meaning, and all of us who have chosen to be "furry" in one way or another, have made this connection, and decided what species our characters would be, based upon the species' overall personality. These characters are extensions of our true selves - We use them in a way in which to feel more comfortable. Online or otherwise... And on that note, I would rather have a character be known online, rather then my true self. It helps with that little problem known as "stalkers".

* I have an anthropomorphic character. I love animals. I sometimes meow, or even growl, to act cute or imitate something I have a passion for, which is animals. (Roleplaying, if you will.) Want to call me a geek? Fine. Thank you for the compliment. At least I didn't spend my high school years having sex with everything that moved, worried about what everyone thought, pretended I was something I wasn't, or hurt people to make myself seem more important. Perhaps by your standards, I am one of those furries you saw on CSI (Which was the most disgusting exploitation of stereotypes I have EVER seen.), Just because I love animals so much. I call myself "furry" because for the most part, I love the Furry community. i choose to be a supporter of it. But this by no means limits me. I am not joining yet another "clique" and saying I am unique, contradicting myself. I make my own ways, and have my own opinions. Many "Furries" do the same. I am an artist. And I will express myself how I choose. But as with many things, lots of people share a common goal, or interest; and it is nice to have an audience who understands and supports your decisions.

In short, I am so sick of hate, and flamers. So tired of the word "Furfag" and the inner community bias. Tired of people lacking lives, making flame sites about artists or friends I love. SUPER POKEMON CONTEST INFORMATION:

To celebrate my return to the world of Pokemon (Thanks to Diamond and Pearl), I have decided to put on a rather large contest dedicated to everyone’s favorite little Pocket Monsters. ^^ AND EVERYONE WILL GET SOMETHING FOR ENTERING!

If you’re familiar with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl’s game plays, I’m sure you have sooner or later come across the Contest Hall in Hearthome City. The Super Contest’s held there, are what inspired mine. There will be 5 categories (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart & Tough), to which anyone can be a contestant in, by simply submitting a drawing they have done of ANY Pokemon of their choice; as long as the picture is themed to the appropriate category.

The rules are rather simple, but please take a moment to read them as they are important and contain a lot of information as to how this contest will be run:

The Point of This Contest:

Everyone who enters will be getting a FAIR and HONEST chance at winning. None of my friends or family is allowed to enter, and the contest is strictly limited to only FA users. I WANT THIS TO BE FUN FOR EVERYONE. I cannot stress that enough. There will be REAL prizes, as well. Pokemon themed, of course. Plus, everyone who enters will be featured in a drawing by me. (Please see the prize section for more info.)

How to Submit an entry:

To beome a contestant, please SEND ME A NOTE saying you want to enter.

When you're drawing is done, please submit your entries to the contest by again SENDING ME A NOTE with a link to your submission on FA (Submissions MUST be posted on FA!), along with what category you are submitting it to.

Submission FAQs:

What’s this content and category thing all about?! I haven’t played Diamond or Pearl! Can I still enter?
- Of course you can still enter. The Super Contest I am referring to is a type of mini game in Diamond and Pearl where you can put your Pokemon in a show to be judged on their Beauty, Toughness, etc. You win ribbons and level up in the game by doing so. My contest was just kindof inspired by that, as you can tell by the categories.

I draw, but nothing too amazing.. I can’t enter, right?
- WRONG. ALL art is welcome. Entries will be judged on creativity and overall execution.

So… You want me to put random clothing and crap all over my Pokemon?
- No, no. Well. If you want to. What I’m looking for is for anyone who enters, to pick a category, and draw whatever comes to mind when thinking about that category! For instance, if I was to enter cute, the first thing I can think of is an anthro Eevee with a lollipop and ribbons in its hair. (Not that THAT is what defines cute. We all have our own opinions, so, be creative!)

Does my Pokemon have to be anthropomorphic (furry)?
- NO. Have fun with it, mix things up! Furry or not, it doesn’t matter. Both are great!

How about the ratings? PG? R? X?
- I don’t care for censorship at all, so that’s completely up to you. Be it dirty or clean, we want it, but there are however a few regulations. NO: Scat, Watersports, Vomit, Inflation or Unbirthing, please.

Can I make my Pokemon be having sex?
- Remember it’s a contest for a single Pokemon. So please just keep one character in the image.

How many categories can I enter?
- Just one entry to each category please! One entry to each category. Meaning, you can enter as many categories as you like, but please limit your submissions to only one entry per category.

Prizes:

Now, I would LOVE to give every single person a HUGE prize and hug, but I am simply just not made of money. And yes, I plan to have REAL prizes along with art available in this contest. ^_^

First off, EVERYONE who enters will have their character, along with the Pokemon they’ve created added to a large, sketched, group “photo” drawing! ^^

The deadline for submissions is July 31st, 2007. That gives everyone well over 2 months to work on their entries. ^^ After July 31st, the following 6 weeks will be voting time. I know, I know, it sounds like forever, but let me explain.

Each of the 5 posted categories will have a week of their own in which I will post a journal with links to every submission entered. Contestants will then comment on that journal telling me what # of what submission they like best. The following week when the next voting period is posted, the winner of the previous category will be announced.

What’s this content and category thing all about?! I haven’t played Diamond or Pearl! Can I still enter?
- Of course you can still enter. The Super Contest I am referring to is a type of mini game in Diamond and Pearl where you can put your Pokemon in a show to be judged on their Beauty, Toughness, etc. You win ribbons and level up in the game by doing so. My contest was just kindof inspired by that, as you can tell by the categories.

I draw, but nothing too amazing.. I can’t enter, right?
- WRONG. ALL art is welcome. Entries will be judged on creativity and overall execution.

So… You want me to put random clothing and crap all over my Pokemon?
- No, no. Well. If you want to. What I’m looking for is for anyone who enters, to pick a category, and draw whatever comes to mind when thinking about that category! For instance, if I was to enter cute, the first thing I can think of is an anthro Eevee with a lollipop and ribbons in its hair. (Not that THAT is what defines cute. We all have our own opinions, so, be creative!)

Does my Pokemon have to be anthropomorphic (furry)?
- NO. Have fun with it, mix things up! Furry or not, it doesn’t matter. Both are great!

How about the ratings? PG? R? X?
- I don’t care for censorship at all, so that’s completely up to you. Be it dirty or clean, we want it, but there are however a few regulations. NO: Scat, Watersports, Vomit, Inflation or Unbirthing, please.

Can I make my Pokemon be having sex?
- Remember it’s a contest for a single Pokemon. So please just keep one character in the image.

How many categories can I enter?
- Just one entry to each category please! One entry to each category. Meaning, you can enter as many categories as you like, but please limit your submissions to only one entry per category.

Now, I would LOVE to give every single person a HUGE prize and hug, but I am simply just not made of money. And yes, I plan to have REAL prizes along with art available in this contest. ^_^

Some know, that my bedroom for the past 19 years was no bigger then a walk-in closet. Well, now thanks to my bitch of a Mom moving out, her room is mine, and Holy shit - I actually have floor space.

Im sitting in here after a long day of re-arranging and cleaning, scrubbing decorating... *Sigh of relief.* I feel happy, and sortof lost. I've never had so much space of my own! And a new comfy futon bed. <3

My mate  skuger is such a fantastic guy... *le sigh.* He's asleep beside me right now, after having lift my heavy furniture for me and reaching high places for this and that due to my shortness and things. He's lived with me for the past year now, and has done so much to help. Cleaning, Schoolwork, Stress Releif, and just all-around making me a happier, better person. I hope I don't ask for too much, But I appreciate everything. Hun, I love you with all my heart.

She broke her leg two days later. Dx

Poor little Tazz, she's a female Boston Terrier and basically one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. She was rough-housing with some of my other animals, and fell off a couch! We had to rush her to emergency care, and pray she didn't need surgery. She didn't, thank gods.

Getting her was an absolute surprise. Saturday my father took my mate and I to the mall, (Now, we usually take a VERY long time in such places) so, he decided to wait in the truck. When we got back to the vehicle, he wasn't there. So, after about a half an hour of aggrivated waiting, we went back in to look for him, to no avail. But when we went back out, and I saw him sitting inside, I opened the door to yell at him, but was greated with a pudgy little black and white goofball known as Tazz. INSTANT LUFF.

So now, she's got a bright pink cast on her rear right leg, due to a hairline fracture. And although it most likely hurts, the puppy in her is still bound and determined to wobble around for toys and supply torment for our other dog Belle, a Shih Tzu. Here's what's happened in the past month:

• My Great Aunt died, now we have to make a 6 hour ride to and from Middle-of-nowhere Maine for the funeral. Plus my boyfriend, grandmother and I will be crammed in the backseat of a car the whole trip. NOT looking forward to that.
• My grandmother was watching a friend of mine's cat. After said friend picks up said cat, she calls me crying and freaking out the cat is sick, ( because it's nose is warm. ... ) and wasn't properly taken care of... My grandmother values animals lives more then her own, people. The thing's probably just stressed out from being away from it's owner for 3 days. It happens. Made me feel like shit being yelled at for something I didnt even do. Though I know she was just worried.. She cant help that.
• Midterms
• LONG Overdue Commisions NEED to get done.
• Random Anxiety Attacks.
• My room is the size of a shoebox. (It's a walk-in closet, in all reality.) And since my -wonderful- mother has moved in with my grandma, Im trying to make her old room mine, since she has no plans of coming back, nor does she want basically ANYTHING in the room. I figure, hey, I could set up an art desk, a TV, have a place to chill other then the middle of the fucking kitchen table.. BUUUTTT Mommy dearest has to make EVERYTHING fucked up. My contest was just kindof inspired by that, as you can tell by the categories.

- WRONG. ALL art is welcome. Entries will be judged on creativity and overall execution.

So… You want me to put random clothing and crap all over my Pokemon?
- No, no. Well. If you want to. What I’m looking for is for anyone who enters, to pick a category, and draw whatever comes to mind when thinking about that category! SUPER POKEMON CONTEST INFORMATION:

To celebrate my return to the world of Pokemon (Thanks to Diamond and Pearl), I have decided to put on a rather large contest dedicated to everyone’s favorite little Pocket Monsters. ^^ AND EVERYONE WILL GET SOMETHING FOR ENTERING!

If you’re familiar with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl’s game plays, I’m sure you have sooner or later come across the Contest Hall in Hearthome City. The Super Contest’s held there, are what inspired mine. There will be 5 categories (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart & Tough), to which anyone can be a contestant in, by simply submitting a drawing they have done of ANY Pokemon of their choice; as long as the picture is themed to the appropriate category.

The rules are rather simple, but please take a moment to read them as they are important and contain a lot of information as to how this contest will be run:

The Point of This Contest:

Everyone who enters will be getting a FAIR and HONEST chance at winning. None of my friends or family is allowed to enter, and the contest is strictly limited to only FA users. I WANT THIS TO BE FUN FOR EVERYONE. I cannot stress that enough. There will be REAL prizes, as well. Pokemon themed, of course. Plus, everyone who enters will be featured in a drawing by me. (Please see the prize section for more info.)

How to Submit an entry:

To beome a contestant, please SEND ME A NOTE saying you want to enter.

When you're drawing is done, please submit your entries to the contest by again SENDING ME A NOTE with a link to your submission on FA (Submissions MUST be posted on FA!), along with what category you are submitting it to.

Submission FAQs:

What’s this content and category thing all about?! I haven’t played Diamond or Pearl! Can I still enter?
- Of course you can still enter. The Super Contest I am referring to is a type of mini game in Diamond and Pearl where you can put your Pokemon in a show to be judged on their Beauty, Toughness, etc. You win ribbons and level up in the game by doing so. My contest was just kindof inspired by that, as you can tell by the categories.

I draw, but nothing too amazing.. I can’t enter, right?
- WRONG. ALL art is welcome. Entries will be judged on creativity and overall execution.

So… You want me to put random clothing and crap all over my Pokemon?
- No, no. Well. If you want to. What I’m looking for is for anyone who enters, to pick a category, and draw whatever comes to mind when thinking about that category! For instance, if I was to enter cute, the first thing I can think of is an anthro Eevee with a lollipop and ribbons in its hair. (Not that THAT is what defines cute. We all have our own opinions, so, be creative!)

Does my Pokemon have to be anthropomorphic (furry)?
- NO. Have fun with it, mix things up! Furry or not, it doesn’t matter. Both are great!

How about the ratings? PG? R? X?
- I don’t care for censorship at all, so that’s completely up to you. Be it dirty or clean, we want it, but there are however a few regulations. NO: Scat, Watersports, Vomit, Inflation or Unbirthing, please.

Can I make my Pokemon be having sex?
- Remember it’s a contest for a single Pokemon. So please just keep one character in the image.

How many categories can I enter?
- Just one entry to each category please! One entry to each category. Meaning, you can enter as many categories as you like, but please limit your submissions to only one entry per category.

Prizes:

Now, I would LOVE to give every single person a HUGE prize and hug, but I am simply just not made of money. And yes, I plan to have REAL prizes along with art available in this contest. ^_^

First off, EVERYONE who enters will have their character, along with the Pokemon they’ve created added to a large, sketched, group “photo” drawing! ^^

“Cool” Wins - 2 D+P Booster Packs + 1 Free Commission
“Beauty” Wins - 2 D+P Booster Packs + 1 Free Commission
“Cute” Wins - 2 D+P Booster Packs + 1 Free Commission
“Smart” Wins - 2 D+P Booster Packs + 1 Free Commission
“Tough” Wins - 2 D+P Booster Packs + 1 Free Commission

“Best of Show” Wins - 1 Pokemon D+P Theme Deck of their choice: (Inferno Zone, Royal Frost or Terra Firma)

Also, each 5 winners will receive 1 Charmander, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip or Ditto egg of their choice, supplied by  Lyenuv for your Diamond and Pearl game!

Lyenuv will also be giving a free peice of art to the person with her favorite submission!

NOTE: If the available prizes are not wanted, for instance you don't collect the cards, an alternate Pokemon prize (such as a toy, figure, etc.) around the same value (because Im not made of money) will be supplied upon request of the winners.

Deadlines + Voting Periods:

The deadline for submissions is July 31st, 2007. That gives everyone well over 2 months to work on their entries. ^^ After July 31st, the following 6 weeks will be voting time. I know, I know, it sounds like forever, but let me explain.

Each of the 5 posted categories will have a week of their own in which I will post a journal with links to every submission entered. Contestants will then comment on that journal telling me what # of what submission they like best. The following week when the next voting period is posted, the winner of the previous category will be announced.

Week 1: Cool
Week 2: Beauty
Week 3: Cute
Week 4: Smart
Week 5: Tough

The 6th week there will be a journal containing each of the 5 category’s winners, numbered, which will be voted on by contestants commenting on the journal yet again to decide the “Best In Show” Winner.

(Don’t worry, when the time comes, I’ll post more detailed instructions as to what to do.)

kaemantis, lyenuv, skuger and myself will be doing the judging. ^^

Their help is much appreciated. I can't thank them enough for taking time out of their busy lives to help me out with making this contest happen. But PLEASE, DO NOT flood them with "Vote for me's" and whatnot. There will be no discrimination or unwanted persuasion of votes.

Contestants will be judged depending on The Popular Opinion mentioned in the section above, along with overall concept and execution. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN “AMAZING” ARTIST TO ENTER. Everyone is welcome. We’re looking for creativity.
