So March 11th was 1 year sober!

MY KIDDO AND I ARE GETTING A DOG!!!!!
We don't know exactly when or what kind or anything yet.

We're finally at a place where we can get another pup since Buddy passed away a few years ago.
We will be going to the local shelter to see if we make a friend who is a good fit for our family next week.
If no one is there we'll check other rescues and the shelter weekly until we meet the perfect friend for our family.

I still am. I have at least 2 months before I can start walking according to my doctor. The cast came off my leg last week and I got put into a boot which I have to wear for 6-8 weeks. I get a recheck at the 6 week mark.

I’m also getting a mammogram on the 1st because of scary and painful lumps on my tiddies. Wish me luck with the boob squish machine.

Still no art... but I am still sober!

So May 9th I’m officially 60 days sober.

I was around 300 pounds a year ago. I’m down to 224.
Still not at a goal “weight” but you can tell I lost weight and I feel better and can breathe better which to me is more important than a pound goal.

I’ve been wheelchair bound since March due to an injury and had surgery on my right ankle along with a bone graft this past Friday.
Hopefully I will be relearning to walk at the end of May. *fingers crossed*

So since my last journal... that broken ankle needed a second surgery and during my physical therapy covid hit and I couldn’t go anymore. Then I got sick and hospitalized (not covid) and then I broke my other ankle which thankfully didn’t need surgery. Then I got hospitalized again for another illness (not covid) and I just got out from yet another illness (also not covid).


This year has been rough. No art to show for it has I have basically just given up on it.

Due to weather and health issues that have come around I won't have the PTO to go to Furlandia this year.

Sucks but I got plans still in the Portland area in August.

As long as I don't miss any work between now and the con I'll have enough PTO to go to Furlandia in May.

I got my plane tickets for Furlandia in Portland today so it's 100% official I'm going. I'm so excited. I am trying to be more active again with the fandom at least online and a con once a year (maybe 2 this year I am going to try to spend a day at Denfur with my daughter in August).

That's my goal for my vacation for 2018. I missed going to a con this year (tho seeing my sister and my buddy Malky was amazing as all get out).

I rarely draw anymore. I know I use to paint... but now I barely even sketch. I miss what my art was but I just... -can't- anymore.

Such is life I guess. Maybe the muse will come back some day... maybe it won't.
