It's been hella fun so far. (note "we" means my 14 year old daughter and myself)

We hit up the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. The next day we went to Sacramento to visit one of my best friends and head to the Sacramento Zoo and a small parrot shop/rescue where he got his cockatoo from. I got to meet a Hyacinth macaw (he is in his 40s) in person and he even stepped up on me and hung out.

We also hit up this small college run place (check out my recent photo upload for the link to them) that was Today/yesterday (it's like 2am)

Next is the San Francisco Zoo!!! Once we get back to my sister's place (where we are crashing for free) we'll pack up because we have to go home Saturday.

Our flight doesn't leave until like 7pm on Saturday tho so we'll get to check out the Oakland zoo before we head to the airport!!!!!!

My vacation is starting. Sadly it begins with going to the funeral of my father-in-law tomorrow. He passed away in his sleep of a heart attack, they said he felt no pain. He was a great man who raised the amazing man who married my little sister after rescuing her from an extremely abusive relationship.

Monday I head out to California with my daughter to see my older sister for almost a week. It's hard to think about having fun when I'm also grieving. The break from this state will be nice though.
Sorry I won't have time to visit furries. I am only planning to visit one person who isn't my sister.

My job is paying for me to take college courses.
I'm only taking 2 a semester and they'll be online.

It's just for a certificate but it will look good on a resume and hell... it's free.

So Dick Pence was here visiting Focus on the Family the other day... the local news was all about it.
My mom wanted to know what Focus on the Family did so I tried to explain to her the hate they spread under "Christian values".

MY CHECK UP AND SCANS RECENTLY AFTER HAVING MY SECOND SURGERY LAST SEPTEMBER (for those who dunno the first one was in like 2007) SHOWED THEY GOT THE REGROWTH IN MY NECK!!!!

The shit in my lungs is still lying down like the bitch it is. So we'll just monitor it with scans every 6 months to make sure those assholes don't fucking wake the hell back up.

Since my training started for front end supervisor. I've been working SO MANY HOURS omg. Between front end shifts and still covering the desk I'm working over 40 hours a week.

It's hard, I've been fighting this stupid cancer along side other illnesses, but I don't want to dwell on it or give up. So I work.. I keep working.

I won't give up... I refuse to give up. I will fucking get this full time position and I will rock it hard. I won't deny the overtime either.


Sadly all this working and then you know raising a teenager has me little motivation/time to draw.

I tend to use my leisure minute (lol get the reference) towards video games or taking my teenager to the movies (also if we couldn't get to see a movie in theaters we'll watch it in the living room if I can borrow/rent a copy)


So yea... things have been going decent for me... I just... don't have the time/motivation to draw much.

First on the job training day for Front End Supervisor went great. I did very well apparently, they quickly were ok with leaving me in charge of the front end for bursts of time. Sunday is the busiest day and I did great so.. yay?

Only 2 training days a week seems so slow but they seem reluctant to want to just whisk me away from my current position as I also am apparently one of the best desk clerks too.

Honestly if they paid me the management salary I'd do both simultaneously.

So next week I am already doing a few training days for front end supervisor... I'M SCARED AND EXITED OMG!!!

I couldn't get a Nintendo Switch on preorder because you know... bills, life and such.

I have one on order with LoZ and other accessories that will be here when it processes fully through Gamestop.
They say by Easter for delivery but there has been a faster turn over for so far.

Even if I have to wait until mid April... DUN CARE, I GOT A SWITCH AND ZELDA AND WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I am so gonna sell off "Just Dance" which comes with it also for just slightly more than what I can sell it to gamestop.

I'm currently training for a management position at my job. After training I have to pass an interview process and then if I do I can get promoted to a Front End Supervisor at either my store or another local store depending on what's available. (Front End Supervisors basically run the entire front end of the store).
I kind of prefer my store cause it's closest to my house and I love my coworkers but if I have to transfer I will.

Wish me luck! It would be a BIG pay raise and full time so I'd get 40 hours a week.

I haven't done anything but doodle with it yet but hopefully my next day off I'll be able to get time to try to do a full color piece on it and see how that goes. :D

Please fucking give us a way to remove all the people we follow at once or give us an easy way to mass unfollow a ton of people at once.

It's so tedious to remove people who I no longer want to follow.

I was testing a theory someone told me while I wasn't sober...

Needless to say I disabled my account to test this theory and had to wait 72 hours to enable it again.

I wish there was an efficient way to up and delete like half the people I watch on FA.

I woke up to a quiet room...

It was so silent..

Blizzard one of the budgies passed away last night...

She was up perched with the others when I went to bed. It was really quiet when I woke up in the morning, usually the budgies are yelling along with Beep and Hatoful Boyfriend at me for breakfast. No one was yelling... the budgies, the cockatiel and the pigeon were all silent.

She was laying on the floor of the cage like she had fallen from the perch when she passed.
The budgies were silent the entire morning, they've made a few noises since I got home from work but... they are obviously still mourning.

It's been a little over 15 hours since I found her...

Our flock is hurting, we are missing a member.

I hope you're flying free Blizzard... with your deformed wing I know you never could but now... you can fly as high as you want my love.

My first day was 4 hours... . That first day back was mostly be not actually doing the desk but just getting back into the swing of things, my coworkers did a lot while I made sure I remembered all the passwords and tasks. (I deal with a lot of money so this is all important) it was hard but I did ok until I got off work into the cold and my lungs couldn't do the cold air

I put my shirt over my face to breathe warm air until I got home.

Then I had 2 days off (kind of dumb after 2 months leave to have 1 day then 2 days off).
I went again today and did well. Found out so many customers were wondering where I was and worried about me from the head clerks. Even had regular customers get so excited to see me and asked if I was ok and happy I was back.

I hate dealing with people but.. for some reason customers love me and worried when I was gone and asked my managers about me.

It does feel good that I am appreciated.

I've not been appreciated by people in so many years.

I sure do miss that paycheck. Omg

They said i am allowed to go sit if I get dizzy because everyone but the doctor and my parents believe me that i can't breathe correctly and haven't been able to since the partial lung collapse i got during my surgery 2 months ago.

I did get sent home yesterday evening but i'm still on oxygen and have a drainage tube in my chest just blow my neck.

So... basically house-bound/bed bound but it beats being in the hospital for days and days.
i gotta go back to have my incision and such looked at next week.

We're unsure how long i'll be on oxygen, my lungs did not handle being intubated very well.

Round 2 of my neck being cut open cause my cancer decided to wake back up....

i'd rather just hide under a blanket...

It's the first year of an official "Comic Con" in Colorado Springs this coming weekend.

I'm taking my kiddo for the day on Saturday because she's a 13 year old nerd and really wants to go.

Anyone else local going? I'll be in a big patchwork skirt following around a pikachu wearing a pikachu backback with a pikachu plushie that is dressed up like charizard. (seriously)
